Particularly with the #guncontrol debates raging in the USA today, there are always parallels drawn between the United States and #canada when it comes to #freedom and other issues facing both countries. My friend Toast who hails from Toronto Ontario Canada enlightened me that in Canada you don't even have the right to defend your own home unless the person escalates to using force. Even then you're only allowed to match that force. The problem with that is if there is gun control in Canada and someone breaks into your home with a gun, you cannot match that force. That's a big enough issue nevermind the differences in things like #freespeech in Canada vs the USA. #2ndamendment
