Criteria for a Christmas Movie

Enough arguing — here’s the rulebook.

In this clip from the Average Intelligence Podcast, we lay out the three-criteria test for deciding whether a movie actually qualifies as a Christmas movie.

To count, a film must meet at least two of these three rules:
1️⃣ It takes place during the Christmas season
2️⃣ The word Christmas is in the title
3️⃣ Christmas itself (Santa, Jesus, or the holiday) is integral to the plot

If it doesn’t pass two out of three, it’s not a Christmas movie — no matter how often it plays in December.

Use this wisely at your next holiday argument.
