At the center of the Florida so-called book bans is the argument that certain kids may find certain kinds of media or literature helpful and/or enriching. In a vacuum this is probably the case, not every school-aged child can handle a book showcasing the horrors of war, but some can. One hypothetical solution would be to send permission slips home to parents before books or media in question is given or brought into the classroom. However, this would require the school to identify what the material is, so the point is pretty much moot at that point as the far-left maniacs that want to expose children to questionable material would never admit to it this way.
