In the #spiderman comics, #nedleeds is the #hobgoblin so many fans were curious when Ned Leeds was introduced in the #mcu Spider-Man movies as to whether or not we'd see him become a villain. Then when #spidermannowayhome came out, Ned makes reference to having a predisposition to magic (which is later shown) and there is a joke about Ned swearing he wouldn't become the arch nemesis of the #peterparker from his universe. However, after #drstrange casts the new spell, Ned forgets who Peter Parker is. This would twist the knife for Peter even more because he will remember his best friend, but his new villain remembers nothing of who he was.
