The #mortalkombatmovie2021 has many, many problems. Chief among them is how Mortal Kombat 2021 tried to explain the many special powers of the Kombatants. In all prior versions, the special powers had virtually no explained origins (with the exception of Johnny Cage and obvious ones like #raiden ). However, the 2021 #mk film chose to try and explain it with the concept of #arcana which is essentially contrived super powers that manifest when someone is selected to compete in the Mortal Kombat tournament.
