#thelandbeforetime was a crowning achievement in #animation at a time when #disney was the undisputed king. #georgelucas and #stevenspielberg teamed up with #donbluth and his new animation studio to try and give Disney a run for their money, and that they did at first. The Land Before Time is a masterpiece but as a children's #movie it has some problems that plagued Don Bluth projects since he broke out on his own. There were scenes that were removed from the final story because many rightly felt these scenes were too horrific and scary for children. Considering some of the scenes that made it into the movie, I shudder to think of what was cut.
