You should watch both the original Flatliners movie and the more modern remake. The concept is pretty novel. Medical students played by the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon, stop their hearts to see what is beyond the grave, but once they are brought back from the brink of death, their pasts haunt them. Literally. Both movies follow similar events and themes, but the more recent version, starring Ellen Page and Diego Luna, is more intense.
