One of the most striking things about the January 6th riot was how random it seemed. Even if Donald Trump had actually meant for an insurrection to occur, it really had no clear objective. Even stranger, it seems while protesters and police were clashing on one side, on the other side police were letting people in and giving what seems to be private tours.
