Machine Gun Preacher, starring Gerard Butler, follows the tale of a man who leaves his old life of pain and destruction behind and finds purpose on protecting the children in war-torn Sudan, Africa. This movie didn't get a ton of attention when it came out and certainly didn't get the accolades it deserved. Like many movies of this kind, it makes people uncomfortable because it hits the audience with a heavy dose of reality.
