Bobby Lashley vs Swerve Strickland is a great match on paper, and it was a great match on television. That's not our issue. Our issue is that Tony Khan and AEW put on such a great match immediately after Lashley (along with Shelton Benjamin and MVP) came into All Elite Wrestling. Swerve Stickland was recently AEW World Heavyweight Champion and he's a top star in the company. Someone has to lose. No matter who goes over in this case, a top guy is going to look bad. And this early on with no build-up or stakes made no sense.
