BACK TO SCHOOL In THAILAND! Kimberly in Chiang Mai Series ( Globe Aware Fall 2022)

Back in 2019, November, over 200 volunteers worked on constructing two new buildings for the children. What might have taken years to complete due to limited resources, school funding, and only a few available local laborers, was nearly completed within a few days. In Spring 2020, local educators, leaders, and Hill Tribe members celebrated the completion of the new kindergarten and library building.
Now in 2022, Globe Aware Founder, Kimberly, with her daughter Haley, and friends, were able to attend a few days of school with the students, and see the buildings in use.

The Hill Tribe people live in remote areas scattered across Northern Thailand with little or no access to education. A lack of education makes the children prone to poverty and vulnerable to exploitation within Thailand's ubiquitous sex and drug trade. Having access to education can help these children grow up to take much better care of themselves, their families, and their community.
PaBong Elementary school is one such school that offers free education for these children.
