Mission: Our volunteers focused on construction-related projects within the severely impoverished township of Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay. This consisted of rebuilding homes for children who had lost theirs in a fire, working on a community center, creating an entire soccer field so that there's a safe place to play, and improving & expanding the local gardens (for sustainable farming & earning an income by selling crops to shops).
The volunteers also enjoyed white sandy beaches ( Cape of Good Hope, Boulder Beach) and rugged mountainscapes ( Table Mountain), and embarked on an adventurous wildlife safari!
