Houlihan-Whitlock Family - Globe Aware's October Volunteers of the Month

In July 2013, Chris Houlihan and Beth Whitlock decided to take their children, Sam and Ella, on a family volunteer vacation in Ghana. During their time volunteering, the family built latrines, taught English to local children, and had the experience of a lifetime celebrating and dancing in village ceremonies.

Each month, Globe Aware selects an outstanding volunteer as Volunteer of the Month to compete for a chance to be named Volunteer of the Year and win a $500 credit towards their next volunteer vacation. Contestants receive votes through Likes, Comments, and Shares on Globe Aware Facebook posts. The Volunteer of the Month of 2013 with the most amount of votes will be Globe Aware's Volunteer of the Year.
