Could James McAvoy actually pull off a young Captain Picard?

Imagine James McAvoy stepping into the role of a young Jean-Luc Picard, a pitch he once made himself. Would fans be on board if he fully committed to the look? The condition for this potential fan favorite seems clear: he must completely shave his head to capture the iconic aesthetic, avoiding any half-measures or subpar prosthetics. Does this casting choice have the potential to deliver, or does the requirement for a totally bald look make it a dealbreaker for the franchise?
