Directed by Robert Zemeckis, Death Becomes Her is a cult classic that blends dark comedy, body horror, supernatural fantasy, and outrageous practical effects into one wonderfully strange movie. What starts as a hilarious satire about beauty, vanity, and the obsession with staying young slowly turns into something genuinely disturbing. And honestly? The more we think about this movie, the more unsettling it becomes.
We're talking about the movie's surprisingly creepy immortality premise, its grotesque special effects, its twisted take on aging and beauty standards, and why this 1990s comedy might be far more upsetting than its reputation suggests. Is Death Becomes Her an underrated masterpiece of dark comedy, a horror movie hiding in plain sight, or just one of the strangest Hollywood movies ever made?
If you love movie reviews, cult classics, 1990s movies, dark comedies, practical effects, body horror, and film analysis that digs deeper than a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down, you've come to the right place!
