Why is it so difficult to invest emotionally when the outcome is already set in stone, like with the new stories set before the original Hunger Games saga? Doesn't knowing every character has to meet a certain fate strip away all the tension that made the initial conflict so gripping? Furthermore, when it comes to major franchises, are we truly obligated to consume content in the release order, or should chronological context always dictate the viewing/reading experience?
