So what makes The Others one of the best psychological horror movies of the 2000s? In this movie review, we're revisiting the 2001 supernatural thriller to discuss its creepy haunted house setting, Nicole Kidman's incredible performance, its slow-burn storytelling, and how director Alejandro Amenábar builds tension without relying on constant jump scares or graphic violence.
From its mysterious supernatural occurrences to its carefully constructed story, The Others proves that a great horror movie doesn't need to show you everything to scare you. Sometimes, the things you don't understand are the things that stick with you the longest!
