[00:02:03] I'm gonna be honest See, this is hard for me Because there are a lot of things that I liked about it Like, I liked a lot about it And then there's some stuff that I just hated And I feel like that I feel like the hate really outweighs the good But I don't want to sound like I'm cutting it up too bad Because there's plenty of good It's the story that gets me The animation's awesome The fight scenes are generally good Although there's a severe lack of stakes In this series That just Even though the action is good

[00:02:32] It makes all the fight scenes feel a little flat Just because there's I mean None of the fights really mean anything You know? Yeah I mean, the last one does But Goma's been such a cartoon character Up to this point That it's really difficult To take him seriously Just because he got bigger Well, you know It was kind of like But what was the In Fusion Reborn? Jamemba? Was it Fusion? Jamemba Jamemba See, but that was different

[00:03:02] That had stakes Because Jamemba was wrecking shit Was a goofy character And then he turned into a badass Right That was done Way better though And that was also a movie So we didn't sit through 20 episodes of I think the best way I can describe Dragon Ball How I feel about Dragon Ball Thaima Is it was It was too much OG Dragon Ball And I'll explain what I mean by that Because OG Dragon Ball was great Because when it needed to be

[00:03:31] It was serious It had a lot of fun Had a lot of gags But When it needed to be serious It turned it on a dime Whereas Daima To me Was always kind of silly Even in the middle of a fight Even in the middle of What should have been a high stakes Live or die battle It's still kind of Because they were still doing Like the tag team stuff Where it's like Oh, it's my turn It's my turn You know Alright It was 20 episodes So therefore

[00:04:00] It's like not a whole lot To get a bunch of story And so I kind of agree with you But Goku actually called everyone To fight Goma Once he realized So like When you said They didn't take it seriously I think they did get pretty serious then They did Because they realized How powerful Goma was Like Because it wasn't necessarily His power He was powerful But his stamina Because he was able To take a beating And then come right back Right And that was where I honestly started Kind of digging it Because I was like

[00:04:30] Okay, at least Goku gets it But then when they become adults again He was like Ah, let's go back to tag team Well, because He He also had Something up his sleeve Once again Yeah, but But For the love of God How come They never learned From Frieza I'm like You know The Frieza thing I mean, I guess You know What hasn't happened yet Are you talking about Frieza in his new form Or Yeah

Energies So he was able To do it Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

[00:09:26] Loose Loose Sorry No no you're fine But specifically Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta's logic You can make the case And they showed this In Daima That Vegeta And this has kind of Been the head canon Of many a Dragon Ball Fan for years The reason why Vegeta never even Bothered with Super Saiyan 3 Is because he understood That it's too big Of a drain on stamina And it just doesn't Make sense for him However In a fight Against Beerus That's your trump card Who gives a shit Like it either

[00:11:53] Who was doing that In the tournament of power In the anime Not the manga He was doing it In both actually They do it more In the manga And the The fight When Goku fights Hit in the The Champa Versus Beerus tournament In the anime He's just doing Super Saiyan Blue And Kaioken In the manga He's actually Flipping back and forth Between Super Saiyan God And Super Saiyan Blue Dude Super Saiyan Blue And Kaioken Was still so sick It's Oh it's sick I'm Hey I'm not

[00:13:18] I just felt like Sean Schimmel's vocal cords oh dude like no if you do it right it's all he's got the technique that's why he can keep how long has he been playing Goku shit that's how metal screamers are everyone thinks that they're blowing their vocal cords I'm like no they know what they're doing well here's another thing too guys think about this y'all value the shows for different reasons than I do see I'm the Dragon Ball debater on the internet so I love the fan service that they give me a whole bunch of cool feats

[00:13:48] to be able to work with and stuff you know like so remember during the final fight between Goku and I can't Goma Goma he broke the universal barrier just like he did with Broly whenever they were fighting so it's quite possible that he has to keep Super Saiyan 4 under wraps and not on Earth because the Earth literally can't handle it it's like his Kamahamaha burst through dimensions

[00:14:17] burst through other universes so hold on a second I don't think it I'm sorry I don't think he bursted through another dimension I think he bursted through to the next round yeah I think aren't they just separated by waters waters or something yeah I think I think you might they don't say it though but either way that that might be plausible so so that's a good point because now if he blew through to the outer that would be wild yeah well there's a reason

[00:14:47] they had to have the tournament of power in the void because they knew right hey if these people want to cut loose they can't like they're going to destroy matter as we know it if they really go for it out there but to your point about fan service don't get me wrong I like fan service and I think when it's done well it's really rewarding it's a reward for the fans right but and this isn't you but there are people on the internet that are praising Dragon Ball Daima right now and we're cutting up

[00:15:16] Dragon Ball superheroes the the promotional anime series and the the only thing I want to say to those people is at least Dragon Ball superheroes never claim to be anything but a fun fan service anime that only existed to show you all those fan theory transformations that we never got to see and now you get to see Golden Cooler the various didn't Vegeta turn Super Saiyan 3 and

[00:15:46] no I think that was Xenoverse never mind but yeah you're right as long as you're upfront and honest about it if you're self-aware which Japan is slowly starting to become better at even though they don't do their marketing very good still but everyone accepts it doesn't really have a problem with it you know if you just own up to it yeah and they what I gave credit to Dragon Ball Super Heroes 4 from day one I was like okay you see Super Saiyan Blue Goku

[00:16:15] and Super Saiyan 4 Goku fighting each other I'm like this thing this project knows exactly what it is and it's dialing this shit up to 20 like second episode you've got that dream fight right there so I'm almost like okay this will be fun speaking of Super Saiyan 4 though I since this still has to I'm beating a dead horse here since it still has to tie into Super you know what this means though right

[00:16:46] Super Saiyan 4 is not as powerful or like Sosa said it's too powerful for you know our reality but at the same time then he would essentially you'd think he would use that against like maybe trying to spar with the Grand Priest or something so that's why I don't think it's there's gonna be something there's gonna be something to happen and he's not going to be able to transform like there had to have been something special about this I think it's probably because Neva died maybe or not that he died yeah but when he does

[00:17:15] they'll probably lose the ability yeah or I wonder here's another theory this and I know that Toei has said this is canon but Toei said GT was canon at the time I figured it out I figured it out well this is a different timeline Neva gave him demon energy so he was able to because the thing is he was red like you know just because of how GT explained how he became Super Saiyan 4 doesn't mean that's the actual explanation so this could he was working on a new

[00:17:45] transformation but yet it was probably a Super Saiyan transformation not this like Super Saiyan 4 right well I know he calls it that but every time we discuss Dragon Ball I go into my rant about canon but for those who haven't heard it yet I'll just so Dragon Ball has already toyed with multiverse theory as far back as the Trunks arc and then honestly Dragon Ball Super confirmed it and then Dragon Ball Xenoverse hit you in the face with it so everything in Dragon Ball is canon there are just multiple timelines

[00:18:15] there's you know the what we call like the OG timeline that and it just it just splinters that's like trying to reconcile Halloween 2 with the continuation they're all side stories of the main story so it's okay well but I mean that's what I'm saying like in Xenoverse it is established that there is at least a Goku who now works for the time patrol so patrol patrol oh wow you froze that was really cool looking but so

[00:18:44] everybody who's arguing about canon and I know that we're not arguing about it we're discussing it the fact of the matter is they can't integrate it with Super so let's just call it what it is is this is a fun little side story that's a separate timeline that's why Super Saiyan 4 has red hair in this one in the other in the GT timeline he had black hair because he achieved it a different way and I still maintain it shouldn't be called Super Saiyan 4 at all it should be called something else because it's a totally different transformation but nobody listens to that so ah yeah but honestly

[00:19:14] GT's way of bringing it out like pulling it out of his spine and this and that and had bloods waves and this other garbage it made sense dude it made way more sense but that's that's why it was so lame that's why I didn't that's why I didn't that's why I didn't care for GT as much because I was like that's doing too much I was like you have to have an outside source in order to transform that's why well yes but the Saiyans do set with Super Saiyan God but I mean well but the Super Saiyan I'm sorry the Saiyans need an outside force to transform into an Rosaru anyway

[00:25:12] was like oh this totally sucks um Ultra Instinct the first transformation that thing was a cultural event absolutely it broke the internet yeah I mean like here's the thing Diamond Super Saiyan 4 kinda was but it was mostly confusion from what I saw yeah yeah Justin there's Diamond it's okay like don't get me wrong the last few episodes were really great but like for the most part it was

[00:25:41] just kind of like a long drawn out boring story that wasn't really anything crazy because everybody was pretty much good there's that but then also the fact that it was just too Dragon Ball and the thing of it is Dragon Ball works when Goku actually has legitimate competition on planet Earth but no one in this story stood a chance against them and they made that clear from the outset the only reason Goma put up a fight was his stamina if he didn't have endless

[00:26:11] stamina they would have wrecked his shit like yeah of course nobody was a threat and I kinda knew this series was gonna not be all that stellar in terms of story when they introduced Majin Koo and had him fight the for the Dragon Ball no Majin Koo and Majin Do were literal comedy like I to my point they were fun in my I enjoyed it dude when Majin Do

[00:26:41] had the Super Saiyan 3 hair that was comical that was hilarious that's my point though because here's the thing when they're building up for Majin Koo they're making it sound like oh this thing's gonna be we gotta be careful we can't make this thing too powerful and then this fucking dork shows up who is let's face facts he's way weaker than Majin Boo but he's smart yeah that's I'll give you that but it's played for laughs it's played for laughs and the thing of it is this series

[00:27:10] for me because of what we've gone through with Dragon Ball Z even though it's not counted as canon with Dragon Ball GT and elements of Dragon Ball Super which brought back some of the silly but they're fighting literal gods at this point right so Dragon Ball Diamond is all fun and comedy that's what I mean like none of the fights have any stakes because everybody is just so OP in the demon realm and it's real cute when Glorio thinks he can fight Goku with his little magic thing

[00:27:40] and I'm just like oh son you're don't get me wrong I actually enjoyed that fight sequence but Goku just nerfs him like Super Saiyan base Goku would have won but Super Saiyan kid Goku just one shot at him and it was over it's Glorio Glorio was like Yamcha in the second world tournament yeah the amount of power the amount of power that turning a kid turning into a kid did on their bodies though it was

[00:28:10] a significant amount Glorio was talking all this mad crap thinking about that he stood a chance and Goku was like 2% as powerful as he was before and he still got whooped and stood a foot over him like once he became an adult again see I think Dima suffers from and don't get me wrong I understand why they did it because

[00:28:49] you they acclimate to their smaller bodies they get used to the energy flow because they sort of hint at it in episode one but then it kind of goes away until the plot needs it to be difficult well you don't really forget how to ride a bike if you break a leg actually you do you absolutely do you actually can yeah it's not that you forget how to ride a bike it's that you forget you don't know

[00:29:19] how to do it with your broken self so I mean yeah you do have to relearn it over again but it's not the same as their transformations they know the stupid itch on the back or whatever not the itch but the spot that was the worst explanation for super sound okay maybe I take back a little bit yeah oh my god that was cringe stuff to hate on it's okay yeah my back is tingling

[00:29:49] yeah when you said that I was like ah damn it well there's so much in super we forget right but but to be fair no like now granted the second time I had my knee operated on I recovered a lot faster but the first time I literally yeah there were I had to relearn how to walk basically like I knew how to do it but the leg just wasn't cooperating it was like because I hadn't done it for so long it's like the brain couldn't fire the neurons properly so

[00:30:23] that's what I meant semantics like literally you didn't forget how to walk your body wouldn't let you that yeah but that's that's what I'm alluding to I think it would have been more interesting it also would have been more interesting that way because Piccolo could have potentially had a little bit more to do if they were all on not equal footing necessarily but closer but Piccolo is still like the

[00:30:52] demon realm and they knew he was namekian I get that what I'm saying is why didn't Piccolo get a fight from one of the dragon balls that's all I'm saying dude you didn't like the Aurelia episode I

[00:32:54] women whenever we want them to calm down and not be evil to us we give them chocolate aphrodisiacs yep are you saying that just because they're chocolate chips basically yeah but I liked their battles with the tamagamis and everything I thought it was pretty cool it is a little bit sillier but it is in a it's a very very very important thing that if you're going to be doing a team battle that you have an additional two characters that are
