Check out XCW Wrestling here: / @xcwshelbyville We re-watched the first ever AEW show and PPV: Double or Nothing 2019. Was it as good as we remember it? Or were there warnings of what AEW would be come in the very beginning?
[00:00:00] Yep, the same thing?
[00:00:23] There it is! Finally! Finally! Down The Middle has come back to YouTube after five attempts!
[00:00:32] Turns out, we figured it out.
[00:00:34] Down the middle!
[00:00:35] Wow, I am loud.
[00:00:40] Alright, Hakim, can you do me a favor and say something, anything?
[00:00:43] Sure. Do you hear me now? Is it good?
[00:00:49] Sorry, the stream's catching up, so...
[00:00:52] Yeah, it's a bit of a delay.
[00:00:58] Sorry, the stream's catching up, so...
[00:01:00] Yeah, it's a bit of a delay.
[00:01:08] Okay, can you do one more for me, buddy?
[00:01:10] Sure. Do you hear me now?
[00:01:13] Is it a little too low?
[00:01:19] It's a little low, yeah.
[00:01:21] Yeah, I thought so. Give me one second.
[00:01:24] Sorry, buddy. We're having technical difficulties tonight.
[00:01:27] Kinda like...
[00:01:28] It's a little low.
[00:01:29] Double or Nothing 2019.
[00:01:32] I mean, not gonna lie.
[00:01:35] How about now?
[00:01:35] I like...
[00:01:36] Double or Nothing 2019.
[00:01:40] It may not have been a lie.
[00:01:41] There we go.
[00:01:44] Alright, there we go.
[00:01:46] Alright.
[00:01:46] Like I said everyone, welcome to Down The Middle.
[00:01:49] We apologize if you got like four notifications, because normally...
[00:01:53] Which I finally have an excuse to just go straight to YouTube, because if you watch this on Twitch, all two of you, I'm sorry.
[00:02:02] Um...
[00:02:02] At least for the foreseeable future, we will not be streaming on Twitch anymore, because the multi-streaming service we use is apparently on the fritz today.
[00:02:13] Yeah.
[00:02:15] So, we are just doing YouTube tonight.
[00:02:19] And of course, when...
[00:02:21] That was the only other thing it could have been, right?
[00:02:23] Um, so when I started back up to me, it was like, oh no, your signal is not only fine, it's wonderful.
[00:02:29] So it was totally restreamed.
[00:02:30] So restream, that's what you can do.
[00:02:36] But anyway, this podcast tonight is brought to you by our friends at the Startup Core Podcast and at Food & Talk 2.0.
[00:02:43] We'll talk more about each of those a little bit later on.
[00:02:46] But for right now, for right now, we went back in time, Hakeem.
[00:02:53] To back when AEW was allegedly good.
[00:02:57] We went all the way back to the beginning.
[00:03:00] Yep, 2019.
[00:03:01] To the first ever AEW event slash pay-per-view.
[00:03:05] It was the same one, but it was a pay-per-view and their first ever show under the AEW banner.
[00:03:10] Mm-hmm.
[00:03:11] And I gotta say, spoiler alert, for the most part, it holds up pretty well.
[00:03:19] Oh yeah, absolutely.
[00:03:21] It's better than the AEW dreck of the last two years.
[00:03:25] Yes.
[00:03:26] Generally speaking.
[00:03:27] However, there were a couple of moments that were indicators of what would be to come.
[00:03:33] But, we both watched it.
[00:03:37] I don't know why Zoom's been doing that lately either.
[00:03:41] Just stuck to my computer.
[00:03:43] Computer.
[00:03:46] But, so I also, I screwed up because...
[00:03:50] When I tell you that I have had a crazy week.
[00:03:55] I was supposed to watch this pay-per-view on Tuesday.
[00:04:01] Didn't get a chance to.
[00:04:03] Knew I wasn't gonna be able to watch it on Wednesday, so I was like, crap, I'm gonna have to...
[00:04:07] I'm literally gonna have to watch this thing at work and then finish it up when I get home.
[00:04:11] I didn't start watching it until 4pm because today was just a giant clusterfile.
[00:04:18] So, I will admit...
[00:04:19] I saw most of it like last week and I saw the...
[00:04:22] Yeah.
[00:04:22] Like a little bit yesterday or so.
[00:04:25] Yeah.
[00:04:28] I did...
[00:04:29] Fast forward through tidbits, but nothing substantial.
[00:04:34] And not through any of the matches that I would have considered like really good.
[00:04:38] And I also did not watch the pre-show, but...
[00:04:41] Honestly, they did a highlight of what matters in the pre-show.
[00:04:45] Because the only thing that mattered in the pre-show was the Battle Royal.
[00:04:50] Yeah.
[00:04:52] But, in the interest of going through the event, the first match of the pre-show was the 21-man Casino Battle Royal.
[00:04:59] Where the winner faces...
[00:05:01] The winner would go on to face the winner of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega's main event match.
[00:05:05] To decide the first ever AEW World Heavyweight Champion at All Out later that year.
[00:05:14] The first ever All Out.
[00:05:16] And that was won by Adam Page.
[00:05:20] The Battle Royal was probably the best indicator of what would be to come from AEW.
[00:05:25] Yeah, I was gonna say that.
[00:05:27] Oh, by the way, everybody...
[00:05:28] We're going retro.
[00:05:29] Everybody remember this?
[00:05:31] Oh, I gotta move.
[00:05:32] Yeah, this is from the being the elite days when Cody...
[00:05:37] This is when they, uh...
[00:05:38] The elite went to SmackDown.
[00:05:41] Oh, okay, okay. I remember.
[00:05:43] And Cody got on top of the limo and gave the speech from Independence Day.
[00:05:48] Yeah.
[00:05:49] Which is still on YouTube. I highly recommend you watch it. It is funny.
[00:05:53] It's also the day Jimmy Jacobs got fired from WWE.
[00:05:57] Oh, okay, you took like a picture of him.
[00:05:59] He went outside and took a picture with him.
[00:06:00] I still...
[00:06:01] I said this about when, uh, WWF did it at WCW.
[00:06:07] And I still maintain it today.
[00:06:09] They should have opened the doors and let them in.
[00:06:15] Yeah, it would benefit both, like, companies.
[00:06:18] If nothing...
[00:06:19] Yeah, exactly.
[00:06:20] Well, actually, I take that back.
[00:06:21] I know why WWE didn't because...
[00:06:24] At the time, it looked like AEW was gonna become like a legit WCW-level competitor.
[00:06:33] Yeah, yeah.
[00:06:34] So, yeah, I can understand why...
[00:06:36] And nowadays, they'd probably do it.
[00:06:39] Triple H would be like,
[00:06:41] Oh, that's real cute.
[00:06:42] Yeah, let them in.
[00:06:44] Well, you know...
[00:06:47] Okay, they beat our developmental.
[00:06:50] Well, actually, NXT probably would let them in because as we've seen with the likes of Joe Hendry.
[00:06:57] Yeah, and honestly, NXT is a little bit better.
[00:07:01] Now...
[00:07:02] And I think even in the ratings, they're...
[00:07:04] I'm not sure they passed.
[00:07:05] Um, I don't...
[00:07:06] I don't know that they passed Dynamite necessarily, but they certainly passed...
[00:07:10] They certainly passed Rampage and probably Collision.
[00:07:14] Oh, yeah.
[00:07:22] There was.
[00:07:22] This was our first look.
[00:07:24] Um, so yeah.
[00:07:26] Some highlights from the Battle Royale though were...
[00:07:29] There was a man with no legs.
[00:07:34] Um...
[00:07:35] I mean...
[00:07:37] That one's always been tough for me because on the one hand, I can appreciate them wanting to make somebody's dream come true.
[00:07:44] Like, I get it.
[00:07:45] Yeah.
[00:07:46] But at the same time, as Jim Cornette is prone to saying, this isn't fucking make a wish.
[00:07:53] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:07:54] I understand too.
[00:07:56] But it's just...
[00:07:57] I don't know.
[00:07:58] I didn't mind he was there, but as long as he didn't...
[00:08:00] But to me, it was like he was taking a spot for somebody else in a way.
[00:08:04] Well, I don't know.
[00:08:05] With some of the people that were in this match...
[00:08:10] I don't...
[00:08:11] He wasn't the only one taking somebody's spot because I mean...
[00:08:13] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:08:14] I don't mean this disparaging, but like Glacier was in this match.
[00:08:17] Tommy Dreamer was in this match.
[00:08:20] Um...
[00:08:20] This was the debut...
[00:08:22] I think the American television debut of Michael Nakazawa.
[00:08:26] And he hasn't...
[00:08:27] He hasn't changed a bit since...
[00:08:29] Jungle Boy's in there.
[00:08:31] MJF is in there.
[00:08:33] Yeah.
[00:08:33] You know.
[00:08:35] Luchasaurus.
[00:08:36] Luchasaurus was in there.
[00:08:37] Jimmy...
[00:08:38] Remember Jimmy Havoc?
[00:08:40] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:08:42] Yeah, he was in there.
[00:08:43] He was in there.
[00:08:45] I mean, it was a spot fest.
[00:08:47] It's like most AEW Battle Royals.
[00:08:49] Mm-hmm.
[00:08:51] I think Brandon Cutler was in there.
[00:08:54] But yeah, so Adam Page...
[00:08:56] It's really funny because Adam Page was like one of four or five like legitimate competitors in that match and the rest was just filler.
[00:09:03] Uh-huh.
[00:09:04] So, I mean...
[00:09:06] Anyway.
[00:09:07] So, yeah.
[00:09:08] Hangman Page won that match.
[00:09:10] And then...
[00:09:11] Oh, no.
[00:09:11] RFK Jr. is nominated...
[00:09:13] Nominated as Health and Human Services Secretary.
[00:09:16] Politics.
[00:09:17] Anyway, we're not...
[00:09:18] We're not in 2024.
[00:09:19] We're in 2019.
[00:09:21] None of this has happened yet.
[00:09:24] And then the only other match was Kip Sabian beat Sammy Guevara.
[00:09:31] Oh, yeah.
[00:09:31] That was the kickoff match.
[00:09:33] Yeah.
[00:09:33] Well, that was the second match of the pre-show.
[00:09:35] The first technical match of the show was SCU.
[00:09:39] I remember SCU.
[00:09:41] Yeah, I liked it.
[00:09:42] Remember when all three of those guys were in AEW and mattered?
[00:09:48] Remember when Scorpio Sky was like...
[00:09:51] Like, they were setting him up to be the next big thing.
[00:09:53] It was obvious.
[00:09:55] It was obvious.
[00:09:56] Oh, yeah.
[00:09:56] I think he won like one ladder match or something.
[00:10:00] And...
[00:10:00] He won...
[00:10:02] He won the...
[00:10:04] Ace of the Revolution ladder match.
[00:10:07] Yeah.
[00:10:08] And they proceeded to do nothing with it.
[00:10:10] I apologize for all the yawning.
[00:10:11] It's weird.
[00:10:12] I'm not that tired.
[00:10:13] Or at least I don't feel like that tired.
[00:10:15] But anyway.
[00:10:17] And they competed against the Strong Hearts consisting of Shima, T-Hawk, and L-Lindemann.
[00:10:25] Remember...
[00:10:28] Remember OWE?
[00:10:29] It was gonna be like this major partnership with AEW and they were on like two...
[00:10:35] I think they were on twice?
[00:10:38] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:10:39] Maybe three times.
[00:10:41] Two, maybe three times, yeah.
[00:10:43] They had a match at Fight for the Fallen.
[00:10:46] Or at least Shima did.
[00:10:48] But...
[00:10:49] I mean, Shima's great.
[00:10:51] But I just...
[00:10:52] I wonder what happened with that deal.
[00:10:55] It's like out of nowhere this fell flat.
[00:10:57] Yeah, because they sold it as like this was gonna be a major, major partnership and an expansion into China.
[00:11:04] Yeah, exactly.
[00:11:06] Like...
[00:11:07] And it was exciting.
[00:11:08] And I mean, don't get me wrong.
[00:11:09] It's not like they sucked.
[00:11:10] Like they were good.
[00:11:12] They were really good.
[00:11:13] Yeah.
[00:11:14] I did try to watch OWE once though.
[00:11:16] And I will say I think what killed them, I'm gonna be honest.
[00:11:19] Because it was easy enough to watch.
[00:11:21] Like I was kind of surprised how easy it was.
[00:11:23] Like and everything was legit.
[00:11:24] There was no piracy involved.
[00:11:26] But...
[00:11:27] They made it easy for Americans to watch, but they didn't have English commentary.
[00:11:33] Oh.
[00:11:34] And that...
[00:11:36] That really hurt them.
[00:11:38] That's gonna cut off like half your audience.
[00:11:43] Oh, more...
[00:11:44] Yeah, I was gonna say more than half.
[00:11:46] And it would be different.
[00:11:48] It's not like Japan though, where Japan has a rich history of pro wrestling and there's an established fan base there.
[00:11:54] Mm-hmm.
[00:11:55] Kinda just doesn't have a big pro wrestling scene.
[00:11:58] It just...
[00:11:58] It just doesn't have one.
[00:12:00] And OWE was trying to change that.
[00:12:03] But...
[00:12:04] Given where things were at the time, you needed an English speaking audience to tune into your program.
[00:12:11] Exactly.
[00:12:12] So I was kind of shocked why they just left it that way.
[00:12:15] I don't know.
[00:12:16] I mean, you would think...
[00:12:18] My first indication...
[00:12:19] My first...
[00:12:19] You know...
[00:12:20] I mean, it was clearly a bad decision.
[00:12:22] I'm not gonna say it was stupidity necessarily.
[00:12:24] Although, let's be honest.
[00:12:25] It was.
[00:12:26] Because there's a reason that even overseas markets like...
[00:12:31] And don't get me wrong, they're horrendous.
[00:12:33] But if you're a Dragon Ball fan, you know that even overseas markets do English dubs.
[00:12:39] Yeah.
[00:12:40] Because the vast majority of people in or around English is the most common...
[00:12:46] If I'm not mistaken, English is the most commonly spoken language on planet Earth.
[00:12:49] So...
[00:12:50] At the very least as a second language.
[00:12:52] So...
[00:12:53] It's like, yeah, you might live in...
[00:12:55] I'm trying to remember where the...
[00:12:56] Because the Big Green Dumb was a French studio that did an English dub for countries in Southeast Asia.
[00:13:04] So I think that would have been like Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
[00:13:08] Like former Indo-China.
[00:13:11] And...
[00:13:12] Even they did an English dub.
[00:13:14] Like...
[00:13:15] Don't get me wrong.
[00:13:16] It was horrendous.
[00:13:18] I mean, it was bad.
[00:13:20] Malaysia, that's where it was.
[00:13:21] Oh, okay.
[00:13:23] But...
[00:13:23] I mean...
[00:13:24] Dude, I don't know if you've heard it.
[00:13:27] Any of it?
[00:13:28] I've heard some of it.
[00:13:30] Oh...
[00:13:30] But yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:13:31] Let that child alone.
[00:13:35] It's bad.
[00:13:36] But apparently...
[00:13:37] I can never remember...
[00:13:38] I can never remember the name of it.
[00:13:41] But believe it or not, if you're a fan of Totally Not Mark on YouTube, you probably saw this.
[00:13:44] There's a dub out there that's worse.
[00:13:48] Really?
[00:13:48] I can't remember the name of it though.
[00:13:51] But I mean, they did an English dub of Dragon Ball Super and it is awful.
[00:13:57] I mean, it's laughable.
[00:14:00] Like...
[00:14:00] The Big Green dub is mostly like, oh my God, and it's like, chuckles.
[00:14:04] This one is so bad.
[00:14:08] Like, horrendous quality, terrible acting.
[00:14:10] And...
[00:14:11] I mean, it's...
[00:14:12] I think it's a little bit more grammatically correct than the Big Green dub.
[00:14:16] But anyway, we're diverting.
[00:14:17] I'm diverting.
[00:14:19] Sorry.
[00:14:19] I'm the problem.
[00:14:21] Fun fact though, as they...
[00:14:23] As SCU's entrance was happening, they pan to the crowd and we saw Tony Schiavone in the audience in the front row.
[00:14:29] Yeah.
[00:14:31] Before he worked there.
[00:14:32] So that was like...
[00:14:33] That was pretty funny.
[00:14:34] That made me chuckle a bit.
[00:14:37] But we get the entrances out of the way and the first thing I noticed was they made it a point.
[00:14:41] And I applaud the effort, but then they made a point to...
[00:14:44] They made it a point, the announcers did, to point out that they were amending the typical rules of tag team wrestling.
[00:14:49] And then instead of a five count to get out of the ring, it was now a ten count.
[00:14:55] Yeah.
[00:14:56] And then the referees proceed to never count ever.
[00:15:00] Yeah, it looks like they put that rule there, but no one ever might think.
[00:15:05] Well, the funny thing was, as Excalibur's going over, he says, there's a ten count.
[00:15:10] And then in the next sentence, like literal next sentence, he says, it's the referee's discretion.
[00:15:15] So I'm just like, just make it the referee's discretion.
[00:15:19] Like this...
[00:15:21] Like Bryce Remsburg, I think, counts to four once.
[00:15:25] And that was all the ref counting I noticed in tag team matches in the whole pay-per-view.
[00:15:30] Yeah.
[00:15:31] And not only...
[00:15:33] Like, it was also the slowest count ever.
[00:15:37] I mean, the thing is, I appreciate New Japan's rules where you get a 20 count to get back in the ring, but it's not like,
[00:15:43] one, two, it's one, two, three.
[00:15:50] For one thing, it's an actual standardized counting.
[00:15:54] Like, you just count to 20.
[00:15:56] But then you have, like, WWE and AEW especially, where it's a ten count, but it's like, it might as well be a 30 count,
[00:16:03] because of how long it takes them to do the counting.
[00:16:07] Plus it breaks in between.
[00:16:08] That's what I'm saying, yeah.
[00:16:09] They just gotta make sure.
[00:16:11] That's why I like the New Japan system better.
[00:16:13] It feels more real.
[00:16:18] So Rick Knox is the referee in this, Max.
[00:16:23] Yeah, yeah, Rick Knox was the...
[00:16:25] It was.
[00:16:26] Yeah, it was Rick Knox.
[00:16:27] So I'm sorry, I said Bryce Remsburg.
[00:16:30] No, he was, it wasn't Rick Knox in this match.
[00:16:32] Now I can't remember, which is sad, because I watched it earlier today.
[00:16:35] Wasn't it?
[00:16:35] I'm pretty sure it was Rick Knox.
[00:16:36] Well, I have a note here that says, Rick Knox is useless from day one, because...
[00:16:42] He just doesn't, he doesn't count.
[00:16:44] He doesn't enforce the rules ever.
[00:16:46] And this wasn't even, like, this was a fairly standard tag team match.
[00:16:50] There were a few instances of the stand and wait, but nothing was...
[00:16:55] It was pretty tame.
[00:16:56] I was gonna say, it's nothing.
[00:16:57] It's nothing compared to what we have now.
[00:17:00] Yeah.
[00:17:02] Yeah.
[00:17:03] It was a good match.
[00:17:05] Oh yeah, I really enjoyed it.
[00:17:07] It's like, I was shocked to enjoy it because, like, normally I wouldn't.
[00:17:11] I didn't know who those guys were.
[00:17:13] No one in the ring.
[00:17:14] But I immediately enjoyed it.
[00:17:17] Well, it's...
[00:17:17] It was fast, you know.
[00:17:18] Yeah, it's ironic though.
[00:17:20] It's ironic though because the AEW announcers actually go out of their way to tell you about these guys because they're rightfully assuming they're like, you might know who Shima is, but the other two guys, there's not a chance in hell.
[00:17:34] Like...
[00:17:35] Cause Shima goes way back to Dragon Gate and you know, like...
[00:17:38] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:17:40] I didn't know who he was at the time, but very quickly I was like, oh, okay.
[00:17:44] And I like Shima.
[00:17:45] Shima's a really, really good wrestler.
[00:17:47] That being said, I find it very funny that the announcers go out of their way to sort of introduce the fans to these OWE wrestlers.
[00:17:56] And then later on, there's something that happens where nobody knows who these guys are.
[00:18:02] And even the announcers mentioned that they have no idea who they are or what's going on.
[00:18:08] And Excalibur's just like, oh, I know these guys.
[00:18:11] I'm like, you're the only one.
[00:18:14] Cause...
[00:18:15] And I remember...
[00:18:17] I remember watching it the first time and I was like, who's for these guys?
[00:18:23] So I just found it funny that, you know, they do a good job of explaining who the, uh...
[00:18:28] You know, the guys from the Chinese company are, but that's the only time they do it.
[00:18:33] Like that, that's it.
[00:18:35] Um...
[00:18:36] SCU wins, of course.
[00:18:38] Yeah.
[00:18:40] But the guys in OWE did a great job of...
[00:18:42] There's a couple of moments where, I mean, we all knew SCU was gonna win, but...
[00:18:46] Mm-hmm.
[00:18:47] They at least made it look competitive.
[00:18:49] It obviously wasn't a squash match, but...
[00:18:51] Yeah, it was like outright that was gonna lose.
[00:18:54] And they...
[00:18:54] Yeah.
[00:18:55] They put up a fight.
[00:18:56] Well, and that match was...
[00:18:57] It's pretty obvious now watching it again, several years removed, it's pretty obvious that match was set up to expose the audience to OWE and also make Scorpio successful.
[00:19:08] Scorpio Sky, but also make Scorpio Sky look like a million bucks.
[00:19:12] Yeah.
[00:19:13] Some moves he did that match were, like, amazing.
[00:19:16] Like...
[00:19:16] I mean, it worked because...
[00:19:18] He's a phenomenal athlete.
[00:19:19] Yeah, and Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels are already well-established.
[00:19:23] Scorpio Sky's the younger of the three.
[00:19:26] Uh-huh.
[00:19:26] And, yeah.
[00:19:27] Unfortunately, we all know what happened with Scorpio Sky, and...
[00:19:30] I mean, he's still...
[00:19:32] He's still there, but you wouldn't know it.
[00:19:34] Is he?
[00:19:36] It's like, is he really?
[00:19:38] Oh, speaking of...
[00:19:39] Speaking of which, to hook in the viewers, right?
[00:19:44] Um...
[00:19:44] There's a moment that I'm actually shocked.
[00:19:46] I actually pay someone a compliment that I don't think I've ever complimented ever.
[00:19:53] Oh, Excalibur?
[00:19:54] No, no, no.
[00:19:55] No, fuck Excalibur, dude.
[00:19:57] He's...
[00:19:57] He's...
[00:19:57] He's...
[00:19:58] He's...
[00:20:00] Oh, no, no.
[00:20:01] Excalibur...
[00:20:02] I tolerated Excalibur because I just...
[00:20:05] I just...
[00:20:05] I didn't know what I was getting, right?
[00:20:07] And, again, watching this now, I'm like, oh my god, this...
[00:20:11] The commentary is not great.
[00:20:16] It's not stupendous.
[00:20:20] No.
[00:20:20] I...
[00:20:21] JR does fine, but...
[00:20:23] Half the pay-per-view, he's a little confused.
[00:20:25] And, like, I don't blame him.
[00:20:27] Yeah, it was like, he don't know who they are, or he wasn't told who they are.
[00:20:32] and at some points he's kind of like
[00:20:34] he's pointing out stupidity and then like
[00:20:36] yep told you and I'm just like okay
[00:20:37] but our next
[00:20:40] match was the first ever
[00:20:41] AEW women's match
[00:20:43] we saw
[00:20:45] a pre-Bunny Allie
[00:20:47] and I think Fight for the Fallen
[00:20:50] was honestly her highlight
[00:20:51] the highlight of her AEW career
[00:20:53] her match against Brandy when she was still
[00:20:55] Allie
[00:20:57] before the weird Bunny thing
[00:21:00] yeah Bunny
[00:21:01] the butcher
[00:21:01] can we get back Allie because I like Allie
[00:21:04] Allie was great
[00:21:05] she was they let her go though
[00:21:08] oh did they really
[00:21:09] yeah yeah they fired the Bunny
[00:21:11] oh I was about to make a Donald Trump joke
[00:21:13] I was going to say make Allie good again
[00:21:16] well
[00:21:17] oh did she go back to TNA
[00:21:20] oh I don't know
[00:21:21] maybe
[00:21:22] let's see
[00:21:25] let's do a little
[00:21:30] Allie
[00:21:31] Reisler
[00:21:32] but isn't the Blade
[00:21:34] still
[00:21:35] employed there
[00:21:37] I think so
[00:21:39] something makes me think
[00:21:40] she asked for her release though
[00:21:42] because you know
[00:21:43] Tony doesn't fire anybody
[00:21:45] except for
[00:21:46] CM Punk
[00:21:49] after
[00:21:50] after he threatens to hurt him
[00:21:56] oh both parties
[00:21:57] mutually agreed to part ways
[00:22:00] but it doesn't say that she's
[00:22:03] anywhere so
[00:22:04] I don't know
[00:22:08] but that was all the way back in 2023
[00:22:10] it's oh a year
[00:22:12] a year ago
[00:22:13] just about
[00:22:16] whoa she had a broken
[00:22:18] she had a broken orbital bone
[00:22:20] earlier that year
[00:22:22] ooh
[00:22:23] gnarly
[00:22:24] well
[00:22:25] I hope
[00:22:26] I hope we haven't seen the last of her
[00:22:28] because that would be a real shame
[00:22:29] because I always liked Allie
[00:22:31] even you know
[00:22:32] back in TNA
[00:22:33] I enjoyed Allie's work
[00:22:36] yeah I did too
[00:22:38] but yeah in the women's match
[00:22:39] remember Kylie Rae
[00:22:41] yeah briefly
[00:22:43] smiling
[00:22:44] Kylie Rae
[00:22:45] yeah she wasn't around
[00:22:46] very often
[00:22:47] I remember she
[00:22:48] when she asked
[00:22:48] she was the first
[00:22:49] AEW
[00:22:50] wrestler to ever ask
[00:22:51] for a release
[00:22:52] and it wasn't
[00:22:53] that long after this
[00:22:54] oh she was
[00:22:55] yeah she was the first one ever
[00:22:58] and I know that
[00:22:59] I know that she
[00:22:59] I know it was for
[00:23:01] mental health reasons
[00:23:02] but it seemed
[00:23:03] oh okay okay
[00:23:03] it seemed goofy though
[00:23:05] because she
[00:23:06] she said she needed to
[00:23:08] step away from wrestling
[00:23:09] but then she appeared in
[00:23:10] some other company
[00:23:11] was it Impact?
[00:23:13] probably
[00:23:14] yeah
[00:23:14] which I just
[00:23:15] that
[00:23:16] that makes me think though
[00:23:18] so there
[00:23:19] these
[00:23:19] this is
[00:23:20] these are rumors
[00:23:21] I have not read any confirmation
[00:23:27] there were allegations
[00:23:28] that Chris Jericho
[00:23:30] I can't remember
[00:23:31] if he actually
[00:23:31] yeah now I remember
[00:23:33] I can't remember
[00:23:34] I can't remember
[00:23:35] honestly if it was harassment
[00:23:36] or some kind of assault
[00:23:38] um
[00:23:40] I want to say it was harassment
[00:23:41] but I
[00:23:42] I can't remember
[00:23:43] so don't quote me on that
[00:23:44] so that to me
[00:23:45] would actually
[00:23:46] I'm not accusing anybody
[00:23:47] of anything
[00:23:47] but that to me
[00:23:48] would actually make
[00:23:49] a little bit more sense
[00:23:49] because I don't know why
[00:23:51] it would make sense
[00:23:52] if you got hired by Impact
[00:23:53] and then AEW or WWE
[00:23:55] came a knocking
[00:23:56] so you're like
[00:23:56] oh can I have my release
[00:23:58] you know
[00:23:59] yeah
[00:23:59] and then you join up there
[00:24:00] but I don't know why
[00:24:01] you would downgrade
[00:24:03] because at the time
[00:24:04] that was a definite downgrade
[00:24:05] I mean
[00:24:06] kind of still is
[00:24:07] but
[00:24:09] yeah
[00:24:10] because like
[00:24:10] she wasn't doing much
[00:24:11] in AEW
[00:24:12] to begin with
[00:24:13] like I saw her
[00:24:14] every now and then
[00:24:15] but
[00:24:16] so I was like
[00:24:17] kind of shocked
[00:24:17] she asked for release
[00:24:18] and hey honestly
[00:24:19] that might have been
[00:24:20] that might have been
[00:24:21] a reason too
[00:24:21] because
[00:24:23] you know
[00:24:23] somebody like Nick Nemeth
[00:24:25] is a prime example
[00:24:25] it's like
[00:24:26] would you rather be
[00:24:28] in the low mid card
[00:24:29] but get a steady
[00:24:30] good paycheck
[00:24:31] or would you rather
[00:24:32] go somewhere
[00:24:32] and become king of the mountain
[00:24:33] and take a little bit
[00:24:34] more of a risk
[00:24:35] you know
[00:24:36] yeah
[00:24:37] because a wrestler
[00:24:38] I mean
[00:24:40] your name is your record
[00:24:41] you know
[00:24:43] and plus like
[00:24:44] you can think about
[00:24:44] are you doing it for money
[00:24:46] or are you doing it for fame
[00:24:47] or are you just doing it
[00:24:48] for the passion
[00:24:48] yeah exactly
[00:24:49] and I think to a certain
[00:24:50] to a certain extent
[00:24:51] you have to do it
[00:24:52] for the money
[00:24:52] because if you can't live
[00:24:53] then you can't
[00:24:55] you know
[00:24:55] but
[00:24:55] but yeah
[00:24:56] it's like
[00:24:57] would you rather make
[00:24:58] this is a good way
[00:24:59] to put it
[00:24:59] would you rather make
[00:25:00] like
[00:25:02] and I'm not talking
[00:25:03] about your contract
[00:25:04] but like
[00:25:04] would you rather make
[00:25:05] half a million dollars
[00:25:06] a year
[00:25:06] and be world heavyweight champion
[00:25:07] or would you rather
[00:25:08] make a million dollars
[00:25:09] a year
[00:25:10] which you wouldn't
[00:25:12] but you know
[00:25:12] or would you rather
[00:25:13] make a million
[00:25:14] a year
[00:25:14] and be like
[00:25:15] in squash matches
[00:25:17] all the time
[00:25:19] a million
[00:25:21] I mean honestly
[00:25:22] have to
[00:25:24] do that for a year
[00:25:25] or two
[00:25:25] and then go to
[00:25:26] impact
[00:25:27] and take the pay cut
[00:25:28] but then you become
[00:25:28] world heavyweight champion
[00:25:29] then you can go back
[00:25:30] to WWE
[00:25:30] and get in the world
[00:25:31] title picture
[00:25:32] do the Cody
[00:25:34] yeah
[00:25:35] because like with Dolph
[00:25:36] like
[00:25:36] he probably made his money
[00:25:38] ten times over
[00:25:39] in WWE
[00:25:40] I mean fair enough
[00:25:42] fair enough
[00:25:42] and there's something
[00:25:43] to be said about
[00:25:44] the Cody approach
[00:25:45] like I say it tongue
[00:25:46] in cheek
[00:25:46] but I mean it worked
[00:25:48] because if Cody
[00:25:49] if Cody hadn't left
[00:25:50] he would never
[00:25:50] have been WWE champion
[00:25:52] ever
[00:25:53] no no
[00:25:53] they weren't
[00:25:54] that was never
[00:25:55] gonna happen
[00:25:57] currently
[00:25:57] but anyway
[00:25:58] so the match
[00:25:59] consisted of
[00:26:00] Kylie Rae
[00:26:02] Dr. Britt Baker
[00:26:03] Nyla Rose
[00:26:04] and then a surprise
[00:26:05] entrant of Awesome Kong
[00:26:06] now I remember
[00:26:08] because I love
[00:26:09] Awesome Kong
[00:26:09] me too
[00:26:10] I popped so hard
[00:26:11] when I saw her
[00:26:12] when I watched it
[00:26:13] the first time
[00:26:14] I did
[00:26:14] when I watched it
[00:26:14] this time
[00:26:15] I was just like
[00:26:16] this is weird
[00:26:18] yeah yeah
[00:26:19] I still like
[00:26:20] Awesome Kong
[00:26:21] like Brandy
[00:26:22] and again
[00:26:24] I've got
[00:26:24] this is 2019
[00:26:25] so I got
[00:26:26] I got five years
[00:26:27] of hindsight
[00:26:28] yeah
[00:26:29] and I'm just
[00:26:30] kind of like
[00:26:30] this whole thing
[00:26:31] with Brandy
[00:26:32] and Awesome Kong
[00:26:33] is weird
[00:26:34] but that's because
[00:26:35] I know it didn't
[00:26:36] really go anywhere
[00:26:39] yeah at first
[00:26:40] I didn't think
[00:26:40] it was like a
[00:26:41] Brandy
[00:26:42] Awesome Kong
[00:26:43] connection
[00:26:43] I just thought
[00:26:44] she was gonna
[00:26:44] bring her out
[00:26:45] and that's it
[00:26:46] I didn't think
[00:26:47] it was gonna
[00:26:47] start that
[00:26:48] nightmare
[00:26:49] fashion
[00:26:50] and
[00:26:50] yeah which was
[00:26:52] the
[00:26:53] and I can say
[00:26:53] one of the
[00:26:54] one of the
[00:26:55] early signs
[00:26:55] of what was
[00:26:56] and don't get me
[00:26:57] wrong
[00:26:57] I actually like
[00:26:58] Brandy Rhodes
[00:26:58] I know I'm like
[00:26:59] one of the weird
[00:26:59] people that actually
[00:27:00] likes her
[00:27:01] however
[00:27:02] however
[00:27:03] however
[00:27:04] I already saw
[00:27:05] the problem
[00:27:06] that people had
[00:27:07] with her
[00:27:07] in this pay-per-view
[00:27:08] because she was
[00:27:09] involved in this
[00:27:10] match
[00:27:10] and then
[00:27:11] plays a different
[00:27:12] character as
[00:27:13] Cody's valet
[00:27:14] and I remember
[00:27:16] there was this
[00:27:17] really weird period
[00:27:18] on TV where
[00:27:19] she was a heel
[00:27:20] when she was by
[00:27:21] herself but when
[00:27:22] she was with Cody
[00:27:22] she was a baby
[00:27:23] face by association
[00:27:25] and it
[00:27:26] it was weird
[00:27:27] it was very
[00:27:28] inconsistent
[00:27:29] and she was
[00:27:29] like doing this
[00:27:30] like goth
[00:27:30] witch
[00:27:31] villain thing
[00:27:32] yeah
[00:27:33] it was kind
[00:27:35] of weird
[00:27:35] and
[00:27:36] yeah
[00:27:37] I understand
[00:27:38] why people
[00:27:39] were annoyed
[00:27:39] with Brandy
[00:27:40] which is a shame
[00:27:41] because I actually
[00:27:42] like I said
[00:27:42] I really like
[00:27:43] Brandy and
[00:27:43] believe it or not
[00:27:44] she can wrestle
[00:27:48] I see her wrestle
[00:27:49] a little bit
[00:27:49] not honestly
[00:27:50] not a lot
[00:27:51] but it was
[00:27:52] decent
[00:27:53] her match
[00:27:53] with Allie
[00:27:54] her match
[00:27:55] with Allie
[00:27:55] at Fight
[00:27:56] for the Fallen
[00:27:56] was quite good
[00:27:57] I thought
[00:27:57] I thought it
[00:27:58] told a really
[00:27:58] good story
[00:27:59] I forgot about
[00:28:00] that one
[00:28:00] I mean
[00:28:00] it's
[00:28:01] it's
[00:28:01] I mean
[00:28:01] it's not
[00:28:02] like Athena
[00:28:03] but you know
[00:28:05] it's good
[00:28:06] it's good
[00:28:07] it's decent
[00:28:09] the note I had
[00:28:10] after watching it
[00:28:11] though I said
[00:28:11] this should have
[00:28:12] been a singles
[00:28:12] match between
[00:28:13] Britt Baker
[00:28:13] and Kylie Rae
[00:28:14] because Kong
[00:28:15] and Rose
[00:28:16] were hardly
[00:28:17] there
[00:28:17] Kong was
[00:28:17] especially
[00:28:18] hardly there
[00:28:19] which I think
[00:28:20] I had read
[00:28:21] somewhere
[00:28:21] which again
[00:28:22] I'm going
[00:28:23] off of memory
[00:28:24] I think
[00:28:24] I had read
[00:28:24] somewhere that
[00:28:25] she was
[00:28:25] like
[00:28:26] not super
[00:28:27] injured
[00:28:28] but
[00:28:28] she was
[00:28:29] yeah
[00:28:30] resting
[00:28:30] something
[00:28:31] she was
[00:28:31] resting
[00:28:31] something
[00:28:33] so
[00:28:34] the whole thing
[00:28:35] I was just
[00:28:35] kind of like
[00:28:36] eh
[00:28:38] I can understand
[00:28:39] it maybe
[00:28:39] being a three way
[00:28:40] because don't get me
[00:28:41] wrong like
[00:28:41] Nyla Rose was in
[00:28:42] the match
[00:28:42] but
[00:28:43] there were
[00:28:44] some cool
[00:28:45] moments where
[00:28:45] there were
[00:28:46] some double
[00:28:46] teams
[00:28:46] but to me
[00:28:47] it seemed
[00:28:48] like it was
[00:28:48] mostly between
[00:28:49] Britt Baker
[00:28:50] and Kylie Rae
[00:28:51] so I was just
[00:28:51] kind of like
[00:28:52] it was
[00:28:52] why don't you
[00:28:53] just make it
[00:28:54] a singles match
[00:28:54] against
[00:28:55] Britt Baker
[00:28:56] and Kylie Rae
[00:28:57] because that
[00:28:58] was where
[00:28:58] I would say
[00:29:00] well certainly
[00:29:01] the ending
[00:29:01] I mean
[00:29:01] the entire
[00:29:02] finish of
[00:29:02] the match
[00:29:02] was them
[00:29:03] like
[00:29:03] the other
[00:29:04] two
[00:29:05] which makes
[00:29:05] me wonder
[00:29:06] did Nyla
[00:29:06] get hurt
[00:29:07] but I don't
[00:29:07] like obviously
[00:29:08] not seriously
[00:29:09] because she
[00:29:09] wasn't out
[00:29:10] out
[00:29:10] but
[00:29:12] I don't
[00:29:14] know
[00:29:14] I couldn't
[00:29:14] tell
[00:29:16] they were
[00:29:17] playing it
[00:29:17] for both
[00:29:18] of them
[00:29:18] yeah that
[00:29:19] would
[00:29:19] make sense
[00:29:20] because
[00:29:21] like I
[00:29:22] said
[00:29:22] Nyla wasn't
[00:29:24] out
[00:29:24] going forward
[00:29:25] but anyway
[00:29:28] Britt Baker
[00:29:29] won
[00:29:30] so setting
[00:29:31] her up
[00:29:32] for success
[00:29:35] honestly
[00:29:35] I still
[00:29:36] didn't like
[00:29:37] her during
[00:29:37] this time
[00:29:38] Britt Baker
[00:29:39] she definitely
[00:29:40] let me see
[00:29:41] the pill
[00:29:43] it's funny
[00:29:44] looking back
[00:29:44] yeah
[00:29:45] because it
[00:29:45] was definitely
[00:29:45] Britt Baker
[00:29:46] light
[00:29:48] yeah
[00:29:48] yeah
[00:29:49] she would
[00:29:50] she would
[00:29:50] grow into
[00:29:52] that
[00:29:53] well I don't
[00:29:53] think they were
[00:29:54] still quite sure
[00:29:55] what to do
[00:29:56] with her yet
[00:29:57] they knew
[00:29:57] that
[00:29:58] I mean
[00:29:59] obviously
[00:29:59] she could
[00:30:00] wrestle
[00:30:00] but
[00:30:00] everybody
[00:30:01] was still
[00:30:02] kind of
[00:30:02] figuring out
[00:30:03] what they
[00:30:03] were doing
[00:30:05] like
[00:30:06] Chris Jericho
[00:30:06] was frankly
[00:30:07] better
[00:30:08] during this
[00:30:09] time
[00:30:09] in my
[00:30:09] opinion
[00:30:10] oh yeah
[00:30:11] yeah
[00:30:11] absolutely
[00:30:12] and then
[00:30:13] honestly
[00:30:13] there were
[00:30:14] a lot
[00:30:14] of people
[00:30:14] that were
[00:30:15] better
[00:30:15] like
[00:30:16] but Jungle
[00:30:16] Boy
[00:30:17] this time
[00:30:17] remember
[00:30:17] Jungle
[00:30:18] Boy
[00:30:18] was just
[00:30:18] this
[00:30:19] planned
[00:30:19] nothing
[00:30:21] yeah
[00:30:23] which
[00:30:23] I'll say
[00:30:24] this
[00:30:25] as much
[00:30:25] as I
[00:30:25] dislike
[00:30:26] Jungle
[00:30:26] Boy
[00:30:26] at least
[00:30:27] he's
[00:30:27] interesting
[00:30:27] now
[00:30:33] compared
[00:30:34] to
[00:30:34] Double
[00:30:35] or Nothing
[00:30:35] oh yeah
[00:30:37] yeah
[00:30:37] compared
[00:30:37] to now
[00:30:38] compared
[00:30:38] to then
[00:30:39] yeah
[00:30:39] but I
[00:30:40] find really
[00:30:40] funny
[00:30:40] because
[00:30:41] on this
[00:30:41] very
[00:30:41] podcast
[00:30:42] I said
[00:30:42] Jungle
[00:30:43] Boy
[00:30:43] is fine
[00:30:44] for now
[00:30:45] but eventually
[00:30:46] he's gonna
[00:30:47] have to
[00:30:47] ditch
[00:30:47] the Tarzan
[00:30:48] gimmick
[00:30:48] and stop
[00:30:49] being
[00:30:49] he's gonna
[00:30:50] have to
[00:30:50] stop being
[00:30:50] Jungle Boy
[00:30:51] and start
[00:30:52] being Jack
[00:30:53] Perry
[00:30:53] the Hollywood
[00:30:54] elitist
[00:30:55] asshole
[00:30:55] who thinks
[00:30:56] he's better
[00:30:56] than everybody
[00:30:57] else
[00:30:57] and I
[00:30:58] even
[00:30:58] I believe
[00:30:59] I said
[00:30:59] he needs
[00:30:59] to grow
[00:31:00] a beard
[00:31:00] and wear
[00:31:00] a leather
[00:31:01] jacket
[00:31:01] and god
[00:31:02] damn it
[00:31:04] I'd be
[00:31:04] curious
[00:31:04] I don't
[00:31:05] remember
[00:31:06] if I said
[00:31:06] those exact
[00:31:07] words
[00:31:07] but I'm
[00:31:07] pretty sure
[00:31:08] I did
[00:31:08] at least
[00:31:09] one or
[00:31:10] the other
[00:31:11] and I
[00:31:12] think
[00:31:12] at one
[00:31:12] point
[00:31:12] I said
[00:31:12] he
[00:31:13] I can
[00:31:14] understand
[00:31:15] why he
[00:31:15] wouldn't
[00:31:15] want to
[00:31:15] cut his
[00:31:16] hair
[00:31:16] but I
[00:31:16] believe
[00:31:16] I said
[00:31:17] he needs
[00:31:17] to start
[00:31:17] wearing
[00:31:17] it
[00:31:18] differently
[00:31:18] so that
[00:31:18] it's
[00:31:19] not like
[00:31:20] and it's
[00:31:21] just so
[00:31:22] funny to
[00:31:22] me
[00:31:22] because
[00:31:23] I'm
[00:31:23] like
[00:31:24] I
[00:31:25] think
[00:31:25] he's
[00:31:25] more
[00:31:25] interesting
[00:31:25] than he's
[00:31:29] but anyways
[00:31:31] so the
[00:31:32] next match
[00:31:33] I have
[00:31:34] a note
[00:31:34] that says
[00:31:35] tag team
[00:31:35] revival
[00:31:36] lol
[00:31:39] yeah
[00:31:40] I guess
[00:31:41] it was
[00:31:42] the best
[00:31:43] friends
[00:31:44] Chuck
[00:31:45] Taylor
[00:31:45] and Trent
[00:31:47] oh no
[00:31:48] he was
[00:31:48] he was
[00:31:48] still
[00:31:48] Trent
[00:31:49] Beretta
[00:31:49] at this
[00:31:49] point
[00:31:50] I forgot
[00:31:50] they didn't
[00:31:50] have the
[00:31:51] weird
[00:31:51] question
[00:31:51] mark
[00:31:52] thing
[00:31:52] happening
[00:31:52] versus
[00:31:53] Jack
[00:31:54] Evans
[00:31:54] and Angelico
[00:31:55] and my
[00:31:55] note
[00:31:56] was
[00:31:56] I said
[00:31:57] it's
[00:31:58] funny
[00:31:58] because
[00:31:58] I have
[00:31:59] to
[00:31:59] give
[00:32:00] the full
[00:32:00] context
[00:32:01] of this
[00:32:01] note
[00:32:01] because
[00:32:01] this
[00:32:02] is
[00:32:02] funny
[00:32:02] I
[00:32:03] originally
[00:32:03] wrote
[00:32:03] damn
[00:32:04] Jack
[00:32:04] Evans
[00:32:04] is
[00:32:05] indie
[00:32:05] lol
[00:32:06] but then
[00:32:06] I crossed
[00:32:07] out
[00:32:07] Jack
[00:32:07] Evans
[00:32:08] and wrote
[00:32:08] this
[00:32:08] match
[00:32:11] because
[00:32:12] Jack
[00:32:12] Evans
[00:32:12] was just
[00:32:13] doing
[00:32:13] some
[00:32:13] indie
[00:32:14] audience
[00:32:14] stuff
[00:32:14] which
[00:32:15] I
[00:32:15] was
[00:32:15] like
[00:32:15] I
[00:32:30] did
[00:32:30] did
[00:32:30] did
[00:32:30] oh
[00:32:32] yeah
[00:32:33] and
[00:32:33] then
[00:32:33] they
[00:32:34] do
[00:32:34] like
[00:32:34] six
[00:32:34] moves
[00:32:34] and
[00:32:35] he
[00:32:35] goes
[00:32:35] two
[00:32:38] it's
[00:32:39] like
[00:32:39] he's
[00:32:39] in
[00:32:39] slow
[00:32:39] motion
[00:32:40] I
[00:32:40] was
[00:32:40] just
[00:32:41] like
[00:32:41] this
[00:32:41] is
[00:32:41] wild
[00:32:43] this
[00:32:43] is
[00:32:43] wild
[00:32:45] and
[00:32:46] like
[00:32:46] I
[00:32:46] said
[00:32:46] I
[00:32:46] actually
[00:32:47] miss
[00:32:48] Angelico
[00:32:49] and Jack
[00:32:49] Evans
[00:32:50] as a
[00:32:50] team
[00:32:50] I
[00:32:50] like
[00:32:51] them
[00:32:51] oh
[00:32:52] yeah
[00:32:53] absolutely
[00:32:53] they were
[00:32:54] really
[00:32:55] good
[00:32:55] it
[00:32:57] really
[00:32:58] was
[00:32:58] I
[00:32:58] preferred
[00:32:58] both
[00:32:59] of
[00:32:59] them
[00:32:59] in
[00:32:59] Lucha
[00:32:59] Underground
[00:33:00] though
[00:33:00] if I'm
[00:33:01] being
[00:33:15] honestly
[00:33:16] it's
[00:33:16] stuff
[00:33:16] that
[00:33:16] we've
[00:33:17] seen
[00:33:17] in
[00:33:17] 2019
[00:33:18] we'll
[00:33:18] see
[00:33:18] it
[00:33:19] later
[00:33:19] you
[00:33:20] know
[00:33:20] we
[00:33:20] won't
[00:33:21] see
[00:33:22] is
[00:33:22] Angelico
[00:33:23] still
[00:33:23] there
[00:33:23] I
[00:33:23] know
[00:33:23] Jack
[00:33:23] Evans
[00:33:24] is
[00:33:24] gone
[00:33:25] I
[00:33:25] think
[00:33:25] Angelico
[00:33:26] is
[00:33:26] still
[00:33:27] on
[00:33:46] 4
[00:33:47] oh
[00:33:48] my
[00:33:48] god
[00:33:50] this
[00:33:50] is
[00:33:50] when
[00:33:51] we're
[00:33:51] first
[00:33:51] introduced
[00:33:52] to
[00:33:52] the
[00:33:52] Dark
[00:33:52] Order
[00:33:53] but
[00:33:54] oh
[00:33:54] yeah
[00:33:54] yeah
[00:33:55] but
[00:33:55] they're
[00:33:55] not
[00:33:55] the
[00:33:55] Dark
[00:33:56] Order
[00:33:56] yet
[00:33:56] they're
[00:33:57] just
[00:33:58] so
[00:33:58] my
[00:33:59] note
[00:34:00] that I
[00:34:00] wrote
[00:34:00] is
[00:34:00] actually
[00:34:00] like
[00:34:00] what
[00:34:01] are
[00:34:01] they
[00:34:01] doing
[00:34:02] here
[00:34:03] as
[00:34:03] if
[00:34:04] anyone
[00:34:04] knew
[00:34:05] who
[00:34:05] they
[00:34:05] were
[00:34:07] Alex
[00:34:08] Marvez
[00:34:08] even
[00:34:09] says
[00:34:09] on
[00:34:09] air
[00:34:10] that
[00:34:10] he
[00:34:10] doesn't
[00:34:11] know
[00:34:11] who
[00:34:11] they
[00:34:11] are
[00:34:13] and
[00:34:14] JR
[00:34:14] you can
[00:34:15] hear it
[00:34:15] in his
[00:34:16] voice
[00:34:16] he
[00:34:16] is
[00:34:16] legitimately
[00:34:17] confused
[00:34:21] at
[00:34:22] one
[00:34:22] point
[00:34:23] I
[00:34:23] think
[00:34:23] he
[00:34:23] actually
[00:34:23] says
[00:34:24] because
[00:34:24] like
[00:34:24] Excalibur
[00:34:24] is
[00:34:25] like
[00:34:25] oh
[00:34:25] they're
[00:34:25] cleaning
[00:34:25] house
[00:34:26] and
[00:34:26] beating
[00:34:26] and
[00:34:27] JR
[00:34:27] is
[00:34:27] like
[00:34:27] I
[00:34:28] know
[00:34:28] what
[00:34:28] they're
[00:34:28] doing
[00:34:29] but
[00:34:29] why
[00:34:33] I'm
[00:34:33] legitimately
[00:34:34] laughing
[00:34:35] because
[00:34:35] I'm
[00:34:35] like
[00:34:36] Excalibur
[00:34:37] is like
[00:34:37] selling
[00:34:38] the
[00:34:38] fact
[00:34:38] that
[00:34:38] like
[00:34:39] we
[00:34:40] should
[00:34:47] so
[00:34:47] that
[00:34:48] made
[00:34:48] me
[00:34:48] think
[00:34:48] maybe
[00:34:49] they
[00:34:49] didn't
[00:34:49] know
[00:34:50] they
[00:34:50] were
[00:34:50] going
[00:34:50] to
[00:34:50] call
[00:34:50] them
[00:34:50] the
[00:34:50] dark
[00:34:51] order
[00:34:51] yet
[00:34:51] because
[00:34:51] on
[00:34:52] the
[00:34:52] indies
[00:34:52] they
[00:34:52] were
[00:34:52] the
[00:34:52] super
[00:34:53] smash
[00:34:53] brothers
[00:34:54] oh
[00:34:55] okay
[00:34:55] yeah
[00:34:57] and
[00:34:58] I
[00:34:58] think
[00:34:58] that
[00:34:59] oh
[00:34:59] what
[00:34:59] did
[00:35:00] Excalibur
[00:35:00] refer
[00:35:00] because
[00:35:01] they
[00:35:01] would
[00:35:02] become
[00:35:02] the
[00:35:03] minions
[00:35:05] yeah
[00:35:05] but
[00:35:06] he
[00:35:06] calls
[00:35:06] him
[00:35:07] something
[00:35:07] else
[00:35:07] and
[00:35:08] it's
[00:35:08] like
[00:35:10] was
[00:35:10] it
[00:35:17] when
[00:35:18] they
[00:35:18] were
[00:35:18] the
[00:35:18] super
[00:35:18] smash
[00:35:19] brothers
[00:35:20] I
[00:35:21] can't
[00:35:22] believe
[00:35:22] they
[00:35:22] fired
[00:35:23] Stu
[00:35:23] Grayson
[00:35:23] and
[00:35:23] kept
[00:35:24] evil
[00:35:24] Luna
[00:35:25] they
[00:35:26] fired
[00:35:26] Stu
[00:35:27] and
[00:35:28] hired
[00:35:28] him
[00:35:28] back
[00:35:28] for
[00:35:29] like
[00:35:29] two
[00:35:29] weeks
[00:35:29] yeah
[00:35:30] and then
[00:35:30] yeah
[00:35:32] but I
[00:35:33] mean
[00:35:33] okay
[00:35:33] here's
[00:35:33] the thing
[00:35:34] though
[00:35:34] out of
[00:35:34] and actually
[00:35:35] Jim
[00:35:35] Cornette
[00:35:35] said
[00:35:36] this
[00:35:36] too
[00:35:36] which
[00:35:36] is
[00:35:36] why
[00:35:36] I
[00:35:36] laughed
[00:35:37] so
[00:35:37] hard
[00:35:37] when
[00:35:37] he
[00:35:37] said
[00:35:37] it
[00:35:38] out
[00:35:38] of
[00:35:38] everyone
[00:35:39] in
[00:35:39] the
[00:35:39] dark
[00:35:40] order
[00:35:41] except
[00:35:41] maybe
[00:35:42] Preston
[00:35:42] Vance
[00:35:43] yeah
[00:35:43] I was
[00:35:44] gonna say
[00:35:44] yeah
[00:35:44] number
[00:35:45] one
[00:35:45] Stu
[00:35:45] Grayson
[00:35:46] is
[00:35:46] like
[00:35:47] the
[00:35:47] most
[00:35:48] athletic
[00:35:48] and
[00:35:49] best
[00:35:49] wrestler
[00:35:50] out
[00:35:51] of
[00:35:51] all
[00:35:52] of
[00:35:52] them
[00:35:53] and
[00:35:53] yet
[00:35:53] he's
[00:35:54] the
[00:35:54] one
[00:35:54] that
[00:35:54] got
[00:35:54] fired
[00:35:54] first
[00:35:57] the
[00:35:57] only
[00:35:58] thing
[00:35:58] I
[00:35:58] can
[00:35:58] say
[00:35:58] is
[00:35:59] evil
[00:35:59] Uno
[00:36:00] was
[00:36:00] like
[00:36:00] pushing
[00:36:01] that
[00:36:02] video
[00:36:02] game
[00:36:02] really
[00:36:03] hard
[00:36:03] he was
[00:36:04] doing
[00:36:04] like
[00:36:04] screams
[00:36:05] of
[00:36:05] it
[00:36:05] like
[00:36:06] weekly
[00:36:08] yeah
[00:36:09] that
[00:36:09] helps
[00:36:11] yeah
[00:36:11] that
[00:36:11] really
[00:36:12] helped
[00:36:15] yeah
[00:36:17] that
[00:36:17] totally
[00:36:18] helped
[00:36:19] the
[00:36:19] best
[00:36:20] friends
[00:36:20] won
[00:36:20] the
[00:36:20] match
[00:36:21] and
[00:36:21] everybody
[00:36:22] had
[00:36:22] a
[00:36:22] hug
[00:36:22] which
[00:36:23] I
[00:36:23] get
[00:36:24] why
[00:36:24] they
[00:36:24] do
[00:36:24] the
[00:36:24] spot
[00:36:25] but
[00:36:25] honestly
[00:36:25] that
[00:36:32] can
[00:36:32] be
[00:36:32] like
[00:36:33] yeah
[00:36:36] it's
[00:36:36] like
[00:36:36] just
[00:36:36] hug
[00:36:37] him
[00:36:37] just
[00:36:37] yeah
[00:36:39] just
[00:36:39] fucking
[00:36:39] hug
[00:36:39] him
[00:36:40] maybe
[00:36:40] he
[00:36:41] was
[00:36:41] waiting
[00:36:41] for
[00:36:41] the
[00:36:41] queue
[00:36:42] for
[00:36:42] the
[00:36:42] dark
[00:36:42] order
[00:36:42] I
[00:36:43] don't
[00:37:03] my
[00:37:03] first
[00:37:04] thought
[00:37:04] was
[00:37:04] like
[00:37:04] oh
[00:37:04] crap
[00:37:05] here
[00:37:05] we
[00:37:05] go
[00:37:05] because
[00:37:06] I'm
[00:37:06] used
[00:37:06] to
[00:37:06] the
[00:37:07] garbage
[00:37:08] now
[00:37:08] yeah
[00:37:09] I
[00:37:10] mean
[00:37:10] it
[00:37:10] wasn't
[00:37:12] it
[00:37:12] was
[00:37:12] by no
[00:37:13] means
[00:37:13] perfect
[00:37:15] no
[00:37:15] but
[00:37:16] it
[00:37:16] was
[00:37:16] okay
[00:37:17] like
[00:37:17] I
[00:37:18] said
[00:37:18] even
[00:37:18] Riho
[00:37:19] looked
[00:37:19] better
[00:37:19] back
[00:37:20] then
[00:37:22] I
[00:37:23] just
[00:37:23] have
[00:37:24] to
[00:37:24] take
[00:37:24] you
[00:37:24] through
[00:37:24] my
[00:37:24] sequence
[00:37:25] of
[00:37:25] notes
[00:37:25] here
[00:37:25] so
[00:37:25] you
[00:37:26] can
[00:37:26] see
[00:37:26] how
[00:37:26] it
[00:37:26] changes
[00:37:26] for
[00:37:27] me
[00:37:27] my
[00:37:28] first
[00:37:28] note
[00:37:28] starts
[00:37:29] at
[00:37:29] the
[00:37:29] which
[00:37:29] I
[00:37:29] said
[00:37:30] how
[00:37:30] the
[00:37:31] fuck
[00:37:31] does
[00:37:31] Riho
[00:37:31] have
[00:37:32] two
[00:37:32] belts
[00:37:32] I
[00:37:36] said
[00:37:36] that
[00:37:36] entrance
[00:37:37] was
[00:37:37] fucked
[00:37:39] because
[00:37:39] they
[00:37:40] tried
[00:37:40] to do
[00:37:41] this
[00:37:41] thing
[00:37:41] where
[00:37:41] the
[00:37:42] video
[00:37:42] package
[00:37:42] had
[00:37:43] all
[00:37:43] three
[00:37:43] of
[00:37:43] them
[00:37:44] differently
[00:37:45] but it
[00:37:45] started
[00:37:46] out
[00:37:46] on
[00:37:46] Shida
[00:37:47] not
[00:37:47] Riho
[00:37:49] but the
[00:37:49] music
[00:37:50] changed
[00:37:50] when
[00:37:50] everybody
[00:37:51] else
[00:37:52] came
[00:37:52] out
[00:37:55] so
[00:37:55] I
[00:37:55] was
[00:37:56] like
[00:37:56] and
[00:37:56] it
[00:37:56] happened
[00:37:56] for
[00:37:57] both
[00:37:57] teams
[00:37:57] but it
[00:37:58] was
[00:37:58] particularly
[00:37:58] bad
[00:37:58] on
[00:37:58] the
[00:37:59] first
[00:37:59] one
[00:37:59] so
[00:38:00] the
[00:38:01] first
[00:38:01] team
[00:38:01] was
[00:38:01] Hikaru
[00:38:02] Shida
[00:38:02] Riho
[00:38:03] and
[00:38:03] Ryo
[00:38:04] Mizunami
[00:38:06] versus
[00:38:06] Aja Kong
[00:38:07] Emi Sakura
[00:38:09] and Yuka
[00:38:10] Sakazaki
[00:38:14] um
[00:38:15] also put
[00:38:17] Riho
[00:38:17] is why
[00:38:18] people say
[00:38:18] wrestling
[00:38:19] is fake
[00:38:21] um
[00:38:22] I said
[00:38:23] this match
[00:38:23] was definitely
[00:38:24] a window
[00:38:24] into the
[00:38:25] future
[00:38:25] because
[00:38:26] everything
[00:38:27] bad in
[00:38:29] this match
[00:38:29] gets dialed
[00:38:30] up to
[00:38:30] 11
[00:38:30] over the
[00:38:31] years
[00:38:32] to the
[00:38:33] point
[00:38:33] of
[00:38:33] just
[00:38:33] being
[00:38:34] silly
[00:38:36] and
[00:38:36] then
[00:38:37] after
[00:38:37] I'm
[00:38:37] about
[00:38:38] halfway
[00:38:38] through
[00:38:38] I'm
[00:38:38] like
[00:38:38] holy
[00:38:38] shit
[00:38:39] I
[00:38:39] didn't
[00:38:39] hate
[00:38:39] Riho
[00:38:40] Riho
[00:38:43] yeah
[00:38:43] and
[00:38:44] immediately
[00:38:45] as I
[00:38:45] thought
[00:38:45] this
[00:38:45] she
[00:38:46] did
[00:38:46] the
[00:38:46] stupid
[00:38:46] pin
[00:38:47] spot
[00:38:47] however
[00:38:49] however
[00:38:50] when
[00:38:51] she does
[00:38:51] it
[00:38:52] with
[00:39:01] here
[00:39:01] Yuka
[00:39:02] started
[00:39:03] in
[00:39:03] that
[00:39:03] really
[00:39:04] super
[00:39:04] high
[00:39:05] like
[00:39:05] on
[00:39:05] her
[00:39:05] elbows
[00:39:06] position
[00:39:07] yeah
[00:39:07] yeah
[00:39:07] but
[00:39:08] then
[00:39:08] she
[00:39:09] went
[00:39:10] down
[00:39:11] right
[00:39:11] before
[00:39:12] Riho
[00:39:12] did
[00:39:12] it
[00:39:14] and
[00:39:15] honestly
[00:39:15] if she's
[00:39:16] gonna do
[00:39:17] that spot
[00:39:17] which
[00:39:17] I'm
[00:39:18] gonna be
[00:39:18] honest
[00:39:18] here
[00:39:19] I still
[00:39:19] hate
[00:39:19] that
[00:39:19] spot
[00:39:20] because
[00:39:20] it
[00:39:20] just
[00:39:20] doesn't
[00:39:21] make
[00:39:21] physical
[00:39:21] sense
[00:39:22] Riho
[00:39:22] is not
[00:39:22] big
[00:39:23] enough
[00:39:24] not
[00:39:25] even
[00:39:25] close
[00:39:25] to
[00:39:25] big
[00:39:25] enough
[00:39:26] to be
[00:39:26] able
[00:39:26] to pull
[00:39:26] a spot
[00:39:27] like
[00:39:27] that
[00:39:27] off
[00:39:27] even
[00:39:28] if
[00:39:28] someone
[00:39:31] can
[00:39:32] deadlift
[00:39:33] in
[00:39:34] a bridge
[00:39:35] 100
[00:39:35] pounds
[00:39:36] she
[00:39:37] can't
[00:39:38] do
[00:39:38] it
[00:39:38] it's
[00:39:39] not
[00:39:39] happening
[00:39:40] but
[00:39:40] if
[00:39:41] she's
[00:39:41] going
[00:39:42] to
[00:39:42] do
[00:39:42] it
[00:39:42] she
[00:39:44] needs
[00:39:44] to
[00:39:44] do
[00:39:44] it
[00:39:45] with
[00:39:45] someone
[00:39:45] of
[00:39:46] close
[00:39:46] to
[00:39:47] her
[00:39:47] size
[00:39:47] and
[00:39:48] the
[00:39:49] camera
[00:39:49] operator
[00:39:50] needs
[00:39:50] to
[00:39:50] not
[00:39:51] be
[00:39:51] stupid
[00:39:51] when
[00:39:52] they're
[00:39:53] shooting
[00:39:53] it
[00:39:53] because
[00:39:54] on
[00:39:55] this
[00:39:55] one
[00:39:55] they
[00:39:56] shot
[00:39:56] it
[00:39:57] from
[00:39:57] Yuka's
[00:39:57] backside
[00:39:58] so
[00:39:59] Yuka
[00:40:00] was
[00:40:01] parallel
[00:40:02] with
[00:40:02] the
[00:40:02] camera
[00:40:02] not
[00:40:03] parallel
[00:40:03] what's
[00:40:04] that
[00:40:04] he
[00:40:05] was
[00:40:05] in
[00:40:05] line
[00:40:05] with
[00:40:05] the
[00:40:05] camera
[00:40:06] so
[00:40:09] like
[00:40:09] the
[00:40:10] camera
[00:40:10] like
[00:40:10] my
[00:40:11] microphone
[00:40:11] is
[00:40:11] Yuka's
[00:40:12] butt
[00:40:12] right
[00:40:14] this
[00:40:15] is
[00:40:15] where
[00:40:15] the
[00:40:15] camera
[00:40:15] was
[00:40:16] so
[00:40:16] that
[00:40:16] when
[00:40:16] Riho
[00:40:16] does
[00:40:17] that
[00:40:17] bit
[00:40:17] you
[00:40:18] can't
[00:40:18] see
[00:40:18] Yuka
[00:40:20] lift
[00:40:21] up
[00:40:21] ever
[00:40:23] so
[00:40:23] slightly
[00:40:23] to
[00:40:23] let
[00:40:24] Riho
[00:40:24] do
[00:40:24] the
[00:40:24] back
[00:40:24] bend
[00:40:25] out
[00:40:26] and
[00:40:26] the
[00:40:26] match
[00:40:27] she
[00:40:27] has
[00:40:27] with
[00:40:27] Nyla
[00:40:28] later
[00:40:28] the
[00:40:29] camera
[00:40:29] is
[00:40:30] perpendicular
[00:40:32] to
[00:40:32] what's
[00:40:33] going
[00:40:57] even
[00:40:57] if
[00:40:57] they're
[00:40:58] like
[00:40:58] in
[00:40:58] the
[00:40:59] turn
[00:40:59] buckle
[00:40:59] going
[00:41:00] like
[00:41:00] this
[00:41:01] you
[00:41:02] point
[00:41:02] the
[00:41:02] camera
[00:41:02] away
[00:41:03] from
[00:41:03] them
[00:41:03] when
[00:41:04] they
[00:41:04] do
[00:41:04] that
[00:41:04] yeah
[00:41:06] I
[00:41:07] did
[00:41:07] say
[00:41:07] that
[00:41:07] yeah
[00:41:07] W
[00:41:08] has
[00:41:08] like
[00:41:08] a
[00:41:09] polish
[00:41:09] with
[00:41:09] their
[00:41:09] like
[00:41:10] camera
[00:41:10] work
[00:41:11] yeah
[00:41:12] it's
[00:41:13] it's
[00:41:14] it's
[00:41:14] weird
[00:41:14] because
[00:41:15] AEW
[00:41:15] started
[00:41:15] out
[00:41:16] decent
[00:41:16] and
[00:41:16] they
[00:41:17] seem
[00:41:17] to
[00:41:17] have
[00:41:18] gotten
[00:41:18] worse
[00:41:20] I
[00:41:26] I
[00:41:26] also
[00:41:26] put
[00:41:26] that
[00:41:27] damn
[00:41:27] Kojima
[00:41:28] fast
[00:41:28] chop
[00:41:29] spot
[00:41:29] so
[00:41:29] my
[00:41:30] two
[00:41:30] least
[00:41:30] favorite
[00:41:31] Japanese
[00:41:33] spots
[00:41:34] were
[00:41:34] done
[00:41:34] in
[00:41:34] this
[00:41:34] match
[00:41:36] so
[00:41:36] it's
[00:41:37] the
[00:41:37] Riho
[00:41:37] spot
[00:41:37] the
[00:41:39] spot
[00:41:40] and
[00:41:41] then
[00:41:41] the
[00:41:42] Mongolian
[00:41:43] chop
[00:41:43] spot
[00:41:43] it's
[00:41:44] just
[00:41:44] so
[00:41:45] stupid
[00:41:45] it
[00:41:47] is
[00:41:47] I'll
[00:41:47] take
[00:41:48] that
[00:41:48] spot
[00:41:48] over
[00:41:49] Riho
[00:41:49] though
[00:41:50] yes
[00:41:51] because
[00:41:51] at least
[00:41:51] it
[00:41:52] strikes
[00:41:52] and
[00:41:53] like
[00:41:53] they
[00:41:56] somebody
[00:41:57] I'm
[00:41:58] sorry
[00:41:58] the
[00:41:58] Mongolian
[00:41:59] chops
[00:41:59] are
[00:41:59] just
[00:41:59] stupid
[00:41:59] just
[00:42:00] step
[00:42:00] backward
[00:42:02] there
[00:42:03] is
[00:42:03] nothing
[00:42:03] holding
[00:42:04] you
[00:42:04] there
[00:42:04] from
[00:42:06] just
[00:42:07] move
[00:42:08] at least
[00:42:09] the other
[00:42:09] one
[00:42:09] you're
[00:42:09] in the
[00:42:10] turnbuckle
[00:42:10] but
[00:42:10] honestly
[00:42:10] everyone's
[00:42:11] reaction
[00:42:11] should
[00:42:12] be
[00:42:14] yeah
[00:42:16] why
[00:42:17] why
[00:42:17] are we
[00:42:17] doing
[00:42:18] this
[00:42:18] there's
[00:42:19] certain
[00:42:19] things
[00:42:19] in wrestling
[00:42:20] which
[00:42:20] I
[00:42:20] just
[00:42:21] hate
[00:42:21] to
[00:42:21] see
[00:42:22] like
[00:42:22] standing
[00:42:23] around
[00:42:23] in
[00:42:24] the
[00:42:24] outside
[00:42:24] and
[00:42:25] the
[00:42:25] cameras
[00:42:26] looking
[00:42:26] at
[00:42:26] them
[00:42:26] just
[00:42:27] standing
[00:42:27] there
[00:42:27] to
[00:42:28] catch
[00:42:28] someone
[00:42:28] like
[00:42:29] quail
[00:42:29] yeah
[00:42:32] except
[00:42:33] the
[00:42:33] quail
[00:42:33] is
[00:42:33] looking
[00:42:34] right
[00:42:34] at
[00:42:34] you
[00:42:34] as
[00:42:34] you're
[00:42:35] getting
[00:42:35] ready
[00:42:35] to
[00:42:35] shoot
[00:42:35] it
[00:42:35] just
[00:42:36] yeah
[00:42:39] this is
[00:42:40] like
[00:42:40] the
[00:42:40] world's
[00:42:41] dumbest
[00:42:41] quail
[00:42:43] oh
[00:42:44] there was
[00:42:44] some
[00:42:44] controversy
[00:42:45] in this
[00:42:45] match
[00:42:46] though
[00:42:47] um
[00:42:48] there
[00:42:48] was
[00:42:48] there
[00:42:49] was
[00:42:49] a
[00:42:49] legit
[00:42:50] three
[00:42:50] count
[00:42:51] that
[00:42:52] Aubrey
[00:42:52] counted
[00:42:53] to
[00:42:53] three
[00:42:53] but then
[00:42:54] she held
[00:42:54] up two
[00:42:55] and they
[00:42:55] rang the
[00:42:55] bell
[00:42:56] and
[00:42:56] everything
[00:42:56] but I'm
[00:42:56] like
[00:42:57] no
[00:42:57] I heard
[00:42:57] three
[00:42:58] hand
[00:42:58] slaps
[00:42:58] so
[00:42:58] somebody
[00:42:59] kicked
[00:42:59] out
[00:42:59] like
[00:43:00] um
[00:43:01] and then
[00:43:02] they were
[00:43:02] like
[00:43:02] oh
[00:43:02] the
[00:43:02] referee's
[00:43:03] decision
[00:43:03] stands
[00:43:03] I'm
[00:43:04] like
[00:43:04] since
[00:43:04] when
[00:43:07] since
[00:43:07] when
[00:43:09] every
[00:43:09] screw
[00:43:10] job
[00:43:10] is now
[00:43:10] nullified
[00:43:13] I'm
[00:43:13] every
[00:43:14] cheat
[00:43:15] to win
[00:43:15] victory
[00:43:15] in
[00:43:16] WWE
[00:43:16] is
[00:43:16] now
[00:43:17] nullified
[00:43:19] since
[00:43:20] when
[00:43:21] when
[00:43:21] the
[00:43:21] bell
[00:43:21] rings
[00:43:22] the
[00:43:22] match
[00:43:22] is
[00:43:22] over
[00:43:25] that's
[00:43:26] another
[00:43:26] problem
[00:43:26] so
[00:43:26] I'll
[00:43:27] give
[00:43:27] credit
[00:43:27] where
[00:43:27] credit
[00:43:27] to
[00:43:28] like
[00:43:28] WWE
[00:43:30] mistakes
[00:43:30] happen
[00:43:31] and they
[00:43:32] go
[00:43:32] I'm trying
[00:43:32] to think
[00:43:32] of one
[00:43:33] I know
[00:43:34] what's
[00:43:34] happened
[00:43:34] though
[00:43:35] there's
[00:43:35] been
[00:43:35] like
[00:43:35] legit
[00:43:35] championships
[00:43:36] won
[00:43:36] just because
[00:43:37] of a
[00:43:37] mistake
[00:43:37] yeah
[00:43:38] multiple
[00:43:39] times
[00:43:39] it
[00:43:40] happened
[00:43:40] yeah
[00:43:42] so
[00:43:42] they
[00:43:43] should
[00:43:43] have
[00:43:43] ended
[00:43:43] the
[00:43:44] match
[00:43:44] and
[00:43:44] it
[00:43:44] should
[00:43:44] because
[00:43:45] especially
[00:43:45] this
[00:43:45] one
[00:43:45] had
[00:43:46] no
[00:43:46] consequence
[00:43:47] whatsoever
[00:43:49] and
[00:43:49] would
[00:43:50] it
[00:43:50] have
[00:43:50] been
[00:43:50] the
[00:43:50] worst
[00:43:50] thing
[00:43:50] in the
[00:43:51] world
[00:43:51] for
[00:43:51] Aja
[00:43:51] Kong's
[00:43:52] team
[00:43:52] to win
[00:43:53] a
[00:43:55] six-man
[00:43:56] tag
[00:43:57] honestly
[00:43:58] not
[00:43:58] because
[00:43:59] you
[00:43:59] think
[00:43:59] about
[00:43:59] nowhere
[00:44:00] nowhere
[00:44:02] yeah
[00:44:04] well
[00:44:04] Shida
[00:44:05] which
[00:44:06] I mean
[00:44:06] it was
[00:44:07] very
[00:44:08] clear
[00:44:08] in this
[00:44:09] match
[00:44:09] where
[00:44:10] the
[00:44:10] other
[00:44:11] team
[00:44:11] was
[00:44:11] except
[00:44:12] for
[00:44:12] Yuka
[00:44:14] the
[00:44:14] other
[00:44:14] team
[00:44:15] was
[00:44:15] just
[00:44:15] basically
[00:44:16] like
[00:44:17] I don't
[00:44:17] mean
[00:44:18] this
[00:44:18] as
[00:44:18] sparaging
[00:44:18] a bit
[00:44:19] like
[00:44:19] old
[00:44:19] timers
[00:44:21] you know
[00:44:22] yeah
[00:44:22] there was
[00:44:23] different
[00:44:23] name
[00:44:23] value
[00:44:23] like
[00:44:24] a lot
[00:44:24] of
[00:44:24] people
[00:44:24] knew
[00:44:24] who
[00:44:25] Aja
[00:44:25] Kong
[00:44:25] was
[00:44:26] you
[00:44:26] know
[00:44:26] she's
[00:44:26] been
[00:44:26] there
[00:44:27] for
[00:44:31] everybody
[00:44:31] in that
[00:44:32] match
[00:44:32] and
[00:44:32] she is
[00:44:34] the only
[00:44:34] legitimate
[00:44:35] like
[00:44:35] potential
[00:44:36] star
[00:44:36] out there
[00:44:37] even
[00:44:37] though
[00:44:37] I know
[00:44:38] Riho
[00:44:38] was the
[00:44:39] first
[00:44:39] AEW
[00:44:40] world's
[00:44:40] women
[00:44:40] champion
[00:44:41] but
[00:44:41] she's
[00:44:42] not
[00:44:43] she
[00:44:43] shouldn't
[00:44:44] have
[00:44:44] been
[00:44:44] if you
[00:44:45] were
[00:44:45] going to
[00:44:46] give it
[00:44:46] to
[00:44:46] anybody
[00:44:46] in that
[00:44:47] group
[00:44:47] it
[00:44:47] should
[00:44:47] have
[00:44:47] been
[00:44:48] Shida
[00:44:48] but
[00:44:50] we
[00:44:51] know
[00:44:51] that
[00:44:53] look
[00:44:54] okay
[00:44:55] I'm
[00:44:55] not
[00:44:55] saying
[00:44:55] that
[00:44:55] Kenny
[00:44:56] and
[00:44:56] Riho
[00:44:56] like
[00:44:58] are
[00:44:59] friends
[00:44:59] with
[00:44:59] benefits
[00:44:59] or
[00:45:00] anything
[00:45:00] but
[00:45:00] like
[00:45:00] if it
[00:45:01] came
[00:45:01] out
[00:45:01] if
[00:45:04] she
[00:45:07] has
[00:45:07] some
[00:45:08] dirt
[00:45:08] on
[00:45:08] him
[00:45:08] or
[00:45:09] something
[00:45:09] she
[00:45:10] may
[00:45:10] very
[00:45:10] well
[00:45:10] have
[00:45:11] dirt
[00:45:11] on
[00:45:11] him
[00:45:14] okay
[00:45:14] I'm
[00:45:15] going to
[00:45:15] say
[00:45:15] this
[00:45:15] and
[00:45:15] I
[00:45:15] don't
[00:45:16] mean
[00:45:16] this
[00:45:16] in a
[00:45:17] negative
[00:45:17] way
[00:45:17] but
[00:45:17] like
[00:45:18] I'm
[00:45:18] pretty
[00:45:18] sure
[00:45:18] that
[00:45:19] Kenny
[00:45:19] Omega
[00:45:19] is
[00:45:20] bi
[00:45:21] and
[00:45:22] I'm
[00:45:22] pretty
[00:45:22] sure
[00:45:23] that
[00:45:23] like
[00:45:23] he's
[00:45:24] I can
[00:45:24] see
[00:45:24] that
[00:45:24] I
[00:45:25] think
[00:45:26] I
[00:45:26] think
[00:45:26] he
[00:45:26] and
[00:45:27] I
[00:45:27] think
[00:45:28] there's
[00:45:28] a lot
[00:45:28] of
[00:45:28] credence
[00:45:29] for
[00:45:29] him
[00:45:29] and
[00:45:30] Ibushi
[00:45:30] being
[00:45:31] like
[00:45:31] an
[00:45:31] item
[00:45:33] and
[00:45:33] the
[00:45:34] golden
[00:45:34] lovers
[00:45:38] I
[00:45:38] don't
[00:45:39] because
[00:45:39] I
[00:45:39] I'll
[00:45:40] be
[00:45:40] honest
[00:45:40] I
[00:45:40] truly
[00:45:40] don't
[00:45:41] care
[00:45:41] like
[00:45:41] if
[00:45:42] that's
[00:45:43] but
[00:45:44] I
[00:45:44] kind
[00:45:44] of
[00:45:44] wish
[00:45:44] if
[00:45:44] they
[00:45:44] were
[00:45:45] they
[00:45:45] would
[00:45:45] just
[00:45:45] like
[00:45:45] come
[00:45:46] out
[00:45:46] already
[00:45:48] like
[00:45:48] it's
[00:45:49] 2024
[00:45:49] guys
[00:45:50] nobody's
[00:45:50] gonna
[00:45:50] be
[00:45:51] like
[00:45:51] in
[00:45:51] fact
[00:45:51] it'll
[00:45:52] probably
[00:45:52] make
[00:45:52] you
[00:45:52] guys
[00:45:52] more
[00:45:53] popular
[00:45:53] um
[00:45:55] I
[00:45:55] think
[00:45:56] so
[00:45:56] but
[00:45:56] like
[00:45:56] I
[00:45:57] don't
[00:45:57] think
[00:45:57] Kenny
[00:45:57] I
[00:45:58] don't
[00:45:58] which
[00:45:59] I've
[00:45:59] never
[00:45:59] met
[00:45:59] the
[00:45:59] guy
[00:46:00] so
[00:46:00] I
[00:46:00] mean
[00:46:00] who
[00:46:01] my
[00:46:02] opinion
[00:46:02] means
[00:46:02] nothing
[00:46:02] I
[00:46:03] don't
[00:46:03] think
[00:46:03] he's
[00:46:03] gay
[00:46:04] though
[00:46:04] because
[00:46:04] I'm
[00:46:05] pretty
[00:46:05] sure
[00:46:05] he
[00:46:05] and
[00:46:05] Rico
[00:46:06] have
[00:46:06] fucked
[00:46:09] at
[00:46:09] least
[00:46:09] once
[00:46:10] and
[00:46:12] he
[00:46:13] either
[00:46:13] liked
[00:46:13] it
[00:46:14] or
[00:46:14] hated
[00:46:14] it
[00:46:14] so
[00:46:14] much
[00:46:17] I
[00:46:17] just
[00:46:18] I
[00:46:18] don't
[00:46:19] know
[00:46:19] I
[00:46:19] don't
[00:46:19] understand
[00:46:19] how
[00:46:20] Riho
[00:46:20] has a
[00:46:20] career
[00:46:21] other
[00:46:21] than
[00:46:21] that
[00:46:22] outside
[00:46:22] of
[00:46:23] Joshi
[00:46:23] pro
[00:46:25] because
[00:46:25] she's
[00:46:26] tiny
[00:46:26] well
[00:46:28] in
[00:46:29] Japan
[00:46:29] she's
[00:46:30] average
[00:46:30] size
[00:46:32] even
[00:46:33] then
[00:46:33] a
[00:46:33] little
[00:46:33] bit
[00:46:34] less
[00:46:35] than
[00:46:35] average
[00:46:35] size
[00:46:36] yeah
[00:46:36] she's
[00:46:38] like
[00:46:39] a
[00:46:39] 12
[00:46:39] year
[00:46:40] old
[00:46:41] similar
[00:46:41] build
[00:46:42] yes
[00:46:43] dress
[00:46:44] is
[00:46:44] the
[00:46:44] same
[00:46:44] way
[00:46:45] too
[00:46:45] but
[00:46:45] that's
[00:46:45] that's
[00:46:46] that's
[00:46:46] a
[00:46:46] Joshi
[00:46:46] thing
[00:46:47] so
[00:46:48] I'm
[00:46:48] gonna
[00:46:48] say
[00:46:48] though
[00:46:49] I
[00:46:49] will
[00:46:49] say
[00:46:50] this
[00:46:50] much
[00:46:50] though
[00:46:50] if
[00:46:51] Riho
[00:46:51] still
[00:46:51] wrestled
[00:46:52] like
[00:46:52] that
[00:46:53] I
[00:46:54] wouldn't
[00:46:54] dislike
[00:46:54] it
[00:46:54] as
[00:46:55] much
[00:46:55] because
[00:46:55] at
[00:46:56] least
[00:46:56] when
[00:46:56] she
[00:46:57] like
[00:46:58] when
[00:46:58] she
[00:46:58] hits
[00:46:58] somebody
[00:46:59] she
[00:46:59] throws
[00:46:59] her
[00:46:59] whole
[00:46:59] body
[00:47:00] into
[00:47:00] it
[00:47:00] and
[00:47:00] say
[00:47:01] what
[00:47:01] she
[00:47:01] will
[00:47:01] I
[00:47:01] say
[00:47:01] the
[00:47:01] same
[00:47:02] thing
[00:47:02] about
[00:47:02] Darby
[00:47:02] Allen
[00:47:02] Darby
[00:47:03] Allen
[00:47:03] may
[00:47:03] only
[00:47:04] weigh
[00:47:04] 150
[00:47:04] pounds
[00:47:05] but
[00:47:06] I
[00:47:06] wouldn't
[00:47:06] want
[00:47:06] to
[00:47:06] take
[00:47:07] 150
[00:47:07] pounds
[00:47:07] across
[00:47:08] the
[00:47:08] chest
[00:47:09] absolutely
[00:47:09] he gives
[00:47:10] us
[00:47:10] it all
[00:47:10] like
[00:47:11] that
[00:47:11] would
[00:47:11] suck
[00:47:12] and
[00:47:13] Riho
[00:47:13] might
[00:47:14] weigh
[00:47:14] 98
[00:47:14] pounds
[00:47:15] but
[00:47:15] have
[00:47:15] you
[00:47:15] ever
[00:47:15] had
[00:47:16] a
[00:47:17] 20
[00:47:17] pound
[00:47:17] medicine
[00:47:18] ball
[00:47:18] thrown
[00:47:18] at
[00:47:18] your
[00:47:18] chest
[00:47:19] it
[00:47:20] fucking
[00:47:21] sucks
[00:47:22] so
[00:47:23] imagine
[00:47:23] a
[00:47:23] human
[00:47:23] body
[00:47:24] I'm
[00:47:25] going
[00:47:25] to
[00:47:25] give
[00:47:25] credit
[00:47:25] where
[00:47:25] credits
[00:47:26] do
[00:47:26] I
[00:47:26] thought
[00:47:26] Riho
[00:47:26] was
[00:47:27] exceptional
[00:47:27] in
[00:47:28] this
[00:47:28] match
[00:47:28] except
[00:47:28] for
[00:47:28] that
[00:47:29] damn
[00:47:29] spot
[00:47:30] and
[00:47:31] I
[00:47:31] will
[00:47:31] say
[00:47:31] because
[00:47:32] I
[00:47:32] know
[00:47:32] I
[00:47:32] said
[00:47:32] this
[00:47:32] Riho
[00:47:33] could
[00:47:33] be
[00:47:34] an
[00:47:34] effective
[00:47:34] wrestler
[00:47:35] but
[00:47:35] she
[00:47:36] needs
[00:47:36] to
[00:47:36] be
[00:47:36] a
[00:47:36] heel
[00:47:37] and
[00:47:37] she
[00:47:37] needs
[00:47:37] to
[00:47:38] be
[00:47:44] if
[00:47:45] you
[00:47:45] paired
[00:47:45] her
[00:47:45] with
[00:47:46] an
[00:47:46] Aja
[00:47:46] Kong
[00:47:46] for
[00:47:46] example
[00:47:47] or
[00:47:48] not
[00:47:48] an
[00:47:48] Aja
[00:47:48] Kong
[00:47:49] like
[00:47:49] an
[00:47:49] Emi
[00:47:49] Sakura
[00:47:50] Emi's
[00:47:51] the
[00:47:51] heavy
[00:47:51] hitter
[00:47:51] and
[00:47:52] Riho's
[00:47:52] the
[00:47:52] one
[00:47:53] that
[00:47:53] throws
[00:47:54] herself
[00:47:54] at
[00:47:54] the
[00:47:55] baby
[00:47:55] face
[00:47:55] when
[00:47:55] Emi's
[00:47:56] in
[00:47:56] trouble
[00:47:56] and
[00:47:57] then
[00:47:57] takes
[00:47:57] the
[00:47:58] hit
[00:47:59] and
[00:48:15] they
[00:48:16] said
[00:48:17] talk
[00:48:17] English
[00:48:18] she
[00:48:18] just
[00:48:18] talk
[00:48:19] Japanese
[00:48:19] oh
[00:48:20] yeah
[00:48:20] that's
[00:48:20] true
[00:48:20] they
[00:48:20] made
[00:48:21] a
[00:48:21] whole
[00:48:21] career
[00:48:21] move
[00:48:23] out of
[00:48:23] Asuka
[00:48:24] and
[00:48:24] the
[00:48:24] gag
[00:48:25] once they
[00:48:26] did this
[00:48:26] with Asuka
[00:48:27] the gag
[00:48:27] can always
[00:48:27] be like
[00:48:28] what
[00:48:33] and Okada
[00:48:34] just comes
[00:48:35] out of
[00:48:35] it
[00:48:35] like
[00:48:35] I can
[00:48:36] translate
[00:48:38] she
[00:48:38] said
[00:48:39] you
[00:48:40] gotta
[00:48:40] match
[00:48:41] beach
[00:48:44] that
[00:48:45] would
[00:48:45] be
[00:48:45] awesome
[00:48:45] they
[00:48:45] ever
[00:48:46] did
[00:48:46] that
[00:48:46] which
[00:48:47] I
[00:48:47] don't
[00:48:48] I
[00:48:48] don't
[00:48:48] know
[00:48:48] how
[00:48:48] active
[00:48:48] you
[00:48:49] are
[00:48:49] on
[00:48:49] TikTok
[00:48:49] I
[00:48:50] can't
[00:48:50] remember
[00:48:51] his
[00:48:51] name
[00:48:51] I
[00:48:51] think
[00:48:51] his
[00:48:51] name
[00:48:52] is
[00:48:52] Ohio
[00:48:53] Sigma
[00:48:53] or
[00:48:53] something
[00:48:53] like
[00:48:54] that
[00:48:54] but
[00:48:55] he's
[00:48:55] he's
[00:48:56] the
[00:48:56] I
[00:48:57] think
[00:48:57] he's
[00:48:57] Japanese
[00:48:58] American
[00:48:58] but
[00:48:59] a lot
[00:49:00] of his
[00:49:00] content
[00:49:01] is in
[00:49:01] Japanese
[00:49:02] seen
[00:49:03] this
[00:49:03] guy
[00:49:03] he
[00:49:04] does
[00:49:04] the
[00:49:06] bits
[00:49:07] with
[00:49:07] different
[00:49:07] configurations
[00:49:08] of
[00:49:08] Oreos
[00:49:08] and
[00:49:09] he
[00:49:09] walks
[00:49:09] people
[00:49:09] through
[00:49:10] the
[00:49:10] pronunciation
[00:49:10] of
[00:49:11] it
[00:49:12] so
[00:49:13] it's
[00:49:13] like
[00:49:14] complete
[00:49:14] Oreo
[00:49:15] is
[00:49:15] Oreo
[00:49:18] and
[00:49:18] then
[00:49:18] he's
[00:49:19] got
[00:49:19] two
[00:49:19] Oreos
[00:49:20] and
[00:49:20] they
[00:49:22] repeat
[00:49:22] and
[00:49:22] then
[00:49:23] he
[00:49:23] does
[00:49:23] more
[00:49:24] or
[00:49:25] it'll
[00:49:25] be
[00:49:25] like
[00:49:25] the
[00:49:25] cookie
[00:49:26] and
[00:49:26] then
[00:49:26] a
[00:49:26] lot
[00:49:26] of
[00:49:26] the
[00:49:27] cream
[00:49:27] and
[00:49:27] then
[00:49:27] a
[00:49:27] cookie
[00:49:27] on top
[00:49:28] he's
[00:49:28] like
[00:49:31] it's
[00:49:31] funny
[00:49:32] shit
[00:49:32] and
[00:49:33] it
[00:49:43] it's
[00:49:44] too
[00:49:44] funny
[00:49:44] and
[00:49:45] then
[00:49:45] he'll
[00:49:45] be
[00:49:45] like
[00:49:47] he'll
[00:49:47] have
[00:49:47] like
[00:49:49] a
[00:49:49] bunch
[00:49:49] of
[00:49:49] the
[00:49:50] cookies
[00:49:53] it's
[00:49:54] great
[00:49:54] shit
[00:49:56] but
[00:49:58] yeah
[00:49:58] so
[00:49:58] yeah
[00:49:59] the
[00:49:59] controversy
[00:49:59] was
[00:49:59] there
[00:50:00] was
[00:50:00] a
[00:50:00] legit
[00:50:00] three
[00:50:00] count
[00:50:01] and
[00:50:01] Aubrey
[00:50:03] started
[00:50:03] the match
[00:50:04] back up
[00:50:05] and
[00:50:06] then
[00:50:06] they
[00:50:15] lasted
[00:50:15] too
[00:50:15] long
[00:50:16] anyway
[00:50:16] I
[00:50:16] suppose
[00:50:16] they
[00:50:17] couldn't
[00:50:17] give
[00:50:17] more
[00:50:18] time
[00:50:18] to
[00:50:18] somebody
[00:50:19] although
[00:50:20] I
[00:50:20] don't
[00:50:20] know
[00:50:20] I'm
[00:50:21] sure
[00:50:21] the
[00:50:21] young
[00:50:21] bucks
[00:50:21] could
[00:50:21] have
[00:50:22] done
[00:50:22] another
[00:50:22] sequence
[00:50:22] of
[00:50:23] moves
[00:50:23] in
[00:50:23] their
[00:50:23] match
[00:50:24] oh
[00:50:25] yeah
[00:50:27] um
[00:50:27] the
[00:50:28] next
[00:50:28] match
[00:50:28] was
[00:50:29] definitely
[00:50:30] the best
[00:50:30] match
[00:50:31] of the
[00:50:31] night
[00:50:31] in my
[00:50:32] opinion
[00:50:32] just
[00:50:33] in a
[00:50:34] vacuum
[00:50:35] uh
[00:50:36] Cody
[00:50:37] Rhodes
[00:50:37] versus
[00:50:38] Dustin
[00:50:38] Rhodes
[00:50:39] yeah
[00:50:40] it
[00:50:40] was
[00:50:40] I
[00:50:41] had
[00:50:42] ah
[00:50:42] the
[00:50:43] throne
[00:50:43] spot
[00:50:45] and
[00:50:45] then
[00:50:45] literally
[00:50:46] the
[00:50:46] only
[00:50:46] other
[00:50:48] note
[00:50:49] I
[00:50:49] had
[00:50:49] other
[00:50:49] than
[00:50:50] it
[00:50:50] was
[00:50:50] a
[00:50:50] solid
[00:50:50] match
[00:50:51] and
[00:50:51] it
[00:50:51] was
[00:50:51] great
[00:50:52] that's
[00:50:52] a lot
[00:50:53] of
[00:50:53] blood
[00:50:55] I
[00:50:56] honestly
[00:50:56] didn't
[00:50:56] expect
[00:50:57] him to
[00:50:57] bleed
[00:50:57] that
[00:50:57] much
[00:50:58] I
[00:50:58] think
[00:50:59] partially
[00:50:59] it
[00:50:59] was
[00:51:00] unintentional
[00:51:00] because
[00:51:01] I
[00:51:01] think
[00:51:01] what
[00:51:15] there's
[00:51:15] there's
[00:51:15] one
[00:51:16] there's
[00:51:16] one
[00:51:17] point
[00:51:17] where
[00:51:17] Cody
[00:51:17] looks
[00:51:18] at
[00:51:18] him
[00:51:18] and
[00:51:18] he's
[00:51:18] like
[00:51:18] for
[00:51:19] a
[00:51:19] split
[00:51:19] second
[00:51:20] he
[00:51:20] kind
[00:51:20] of
[00:51:20] looks
[00:51:20] like
[00:51:21] oh
[00:51:21] no
[00:51:24] it's
[00:51:24] like
[00:51:25] like
[00:51:25] there's
[00:51:26] a
[00:51:26] split
[00:51:26] second
[00:51:26] where
[00:51:26] Cody's
[00:51:27] like
[00:51:27] I
[00:51:27] think
[00:51:27] we
[00:51:27] made
[00:51:27] a
[00:51:27] huge
[00:51:28] mistake
[00:51:29] because
[00:51:30] and
[00:51:30] like
[00:51:30] there's
[00:51:31] one
[00:51:31] point
[00:51:31] where
[00:51:31] Dustin
[00:51:32] is
[00:51:32] like
[00:51:33] literally
[00:51:33] dripping
[00:51:34] blood
[00:51:34] which
[00:51:34] I
[00:51:34] don't
[00:51:34] know
[00:51:35] maybe
[00:51:35] it
[00:51:35] was
[00:51:35] all
[00:51:36] on
[00:51:36] purpose
[00:51:38] but
[00:51:38] I
[00:51:39] mean
[00:51:39] it
[00:51:39] was
[00:51:40] great
[00:51:45] but
[00:51:45] Jake
[00:51:46] you
[00:51:46] always
[00:51:46] criticize
[00:51:47] when
[00:51:47] AEW
[00:51:47] does
[00:51:48] blood
[00:51:48] first
[00:51:49] of
[00:51:49] all
[00:51:49] this
[00:51:50] is
[00:51:50] a
[00:51:50] pay-per-view
[00:51:53] and
[00:51:53] with
[00:51:54] this
[00:51:54] style
[00:51:55] of
[00:51:55] match
[00:51:57] yeah
[00:51:57] I
[00:51:58] always
[00:51:58] say
[00:51:58] it's
[00:51:58] a
[00:51:59] place
[00:51:59] for
[00:51:59] it
[00:51:59] there's
[00:52:00] definitely
[00:52:00] a
[00:52:01] place
[00:52:01] for
[00:52:01] it
[00:52:01] that
[00:52:04] being
[00:52:05] said
[00:52:05] like
[00:52:06] case
[00:52:06] in
[00:52:06] point
[00:52:07] look
[00:52:07] at
[00:52:07] the
[00:52:07] end
[00:52:08] of
[00:52:08] the
[00:52:08] match
[00:52:08] after
[00:52:09] it's
[00:52:09] over
[00:52:09] Dustin
[00:52:10] and
[00:52:10] Cody
[00:52:10] are
[00:52:11] both
[00:52:11] covered
[00:52:11] in
[00:52:11] blood
[00:52:12] they
[00:52:12] look
[00:52:12] like
[00:52:12] they've
[00:52:12] just
[00:52:12] been
[00:52:13] through
[00:52:13] war
[00:52:13] because
[00:52:17] Pretty sure Dustin lost a little bit more blood than he should have.
[00:52:22] Oh, yeah.
[00:52:23] Because he seemed, I don't think he was like quite medical emergency area, but he was definitely a little out of it.
[00:52:30] I was close to it.
[00:52:30] Yeah, I mean, they were kind of like, okay, we need to get you some orange juice.
[00:52:34] You just need to sit down, you know?
[00:52:39] But, yeah, just like, I wish I could like freeze frame.
[00:52:43] I should go back and free phrase that look where Cody just has that look of pure, not panic, but just like, oh, shit.
[00:52:49] Yeah.
[00:52:50] It's good.
[00:52:52] It was.
[00:52:52] It was just a good story, too.
[00:52:54] Yeah.
[00:52:54] It was a great story.
[00:52:57] And the other great thing I have to say about this pay-per-view is that for the most part, most of the matches were bleeding into continuing storylines.
[00:53:08] And this was one of them.
[00:53:09] Yeah.
[00:53:10] Because they set up the match for Fight for the Fallen.
[00:53:12] And I think the only one that didn't really build towards something were the women's matches, actually.
[00:53:17] Oh, no.
[00:53:18] Okay.
[00:53:19] And then the tag team match between best friends.
[00:53:22] Okay.
[00:53:22] So this was the only match that really built to something.
[00:53:26] Oh, I take it back.
[00:53:29] Well, this is, this isn't really, I'd say this is the halfway point of the pay-per-view because there are fewer matches left, but they're longer.
[00:53:39] I thought it was like only the Young Bucks left.
[00:53:41] Young Bucks in the main event left.
[00:53:44] Oh, okay.
[00:53:45] But those were much longer matches compared to the rest of them.
[00:53:48] It was.
[00:54:17] Mm-hmm.
[00:54:19] And they do it all in a way that's not boring because sometimes a lot of these entrepreneur shows, let's be honest, they can be a little boring.
[00:54:26] Yeah.
[00:54:27] But it gets to the heart.
[00:54:28] And honestly, you kind of get the scoop on some really great products because the latest episode he released, there's a link to, you know, try out their beta program.
[00:54:39] Absolutely for free.
[00:55:09] So, yeah.
[00:55:10] Incredible.
[00:55:11] But it wasn't the end of the match.
[00:55:12] And I was like, what else are you going to do?
[00:55:15] Yeah.
[00:55:16] That's for both of them.
[00:55:17] It's like they do so much.
[00:55:20] And I was like, how else are you going to get out from that?
[00:55:22] But it was like they keep on going.
[00:55:25] Well, but not only in this match, but that's why a criticism of the Young Bucks is eventually, if you've seen one Young Bucks match, you've seen them all.
[00:55:36] And to a point, that's true because, I mean, there's a lot of, which I get it, signature moves are a thing, right?
[00:55:44] But there's a lot of even like patterns of a Young Bucks match that you can point out.
[00:55:48] And it's.
[00:55:49] But that being said, one note I had is at one point.
[00:55:54] See, this is what I say.
[00:55:55] I want to love the Young Bucks because at times they're so awesome.
[00:56:00] And so like at one point, Nick does a double team move on both of the Lucha Brothers and he goes.
[00:56:11] And see, that kind of stuff is funny, but it doesn't take you out of the match because he's executing a move and he's he's poking fun at them.
[00:56:19] Yeah.
[00:56:21] And I actually wrote like.
[00:56:24] These are the Young Bucks matches that I love.
[00:56:28] You know, and the reason being is because there's some of the typical, you know, like Young Bucks fuckery that you see in just about every match.
[00:56:36] But they were the vast majority of this match.
[00:56:40] They look like they were in a fight.
[00:56:41] They looked not mad.
[00:56:43] What was they looked intense?
[00:56:44] Like they looked like they were actually like intent on hurting one another, even when there's grudging respect, because one of my favorite matches of all time.
[00:56:52] Right.
[00:56:52] Is Kenny Omega and Hangman Page versus the Bucks at the First Revolution pay-per-view.
[00:56:57] OK.
[00:56:58] And the thing is, the reason that match is so good is because they are all looking like they're trying to destroy the other team.
[00:57:05] And it works so well because they pull out everything and they can't get it both teams.
[00:57:11] And it's a constant back and forth and they're trying to pull out everything but the kitchen sink.
[00:57:15] But the point is, when they do it, like when they throw, literally the last trick they can pull out of their hat, they throw it at them and then they still kick out.
[00:57:25] The look on everyone's face when that happens is just that, like...
[00:57:30] You're like, come on.
[00:57:34] I mean, overall, it's a good match.
[00:57:37] I mean, there's a spot where...
[00:57:39] I always talk about the Shawn Michael Shelton Benjamin superkick spot.
[00:57:44] Oh, yeah.
[00:57:44] That was amazing.
[00:57:45] It's essentially the same thing.
[00:57:47] It's against Phoenix with both the Bucks.
[00:57:49] But, I mean, it's largely the same thing.
[00:57:51] And looks...
[00:57:52] I mean, it looks...
[00:57:54] It looks good.
[00:57:55] It looked like they took his head off, right?
[00:57:59] I mean, it's good stuff.
[00:58:01] And I love the Lucha Brothers.
[00:58:02] I just...
[00:58:03] Although we see some of the seeds of Penta milking things a little too much.
[00:58:08] Like the glove spot.
[00:58:09] Oh, yeah.
[00:58:09] Yeah.
[00:58:10] I really, I really, really wish...
[00:58:11] I hated that glove spot.
[00:58:12] I really wish he was...
[00:58:13] And it's longer now.
[00:58:14] This was the short version.
[00:58:16] Yeah.
[00:58:18] And he didn't...
[00:58:19] I don't think in this one he quite overdid the Cerro Miedo spot, but he will.
[00:58:24] Not too much, though.
[00:58:25] He will in the future.
[00:58:27] Yeah.
[00:58:27] It's getting...
[00:58:29] I don't know who was in charge of keeping everybody in line on Lucha Underground, but that was
[00:58:34] Pentagon's best work.
[00:58:36] Because he didn't do the glove spot there.
[00:58:39] He did Cerro Miedo probably every match, but during his entrance.
[00:58:44] And it was done sparingly.
[00:58:46] I like it when he does it as a taunt, though.
[00:58:48] And he chucks it in people's faces.
[00:58:49] But now he does it too often.
[00:58:53] Yeah.
[00:58:54] It was getting tired.
[00:58:55] I wonder who booked Lucha on the ground.
[00:58:58] I want to know, man.
[00:58:59] Because whoever...
[00:59:00] AEW needs to hire them.
[00:59:03] Hire them.
[00:59:05] Him, her, it, whatever.
[00:59:07] Hire that person.
[00:59:10] Because...
[00:59:10] I mean, it was stellar.
[00:59:12] Like, I actually have a...
[00:59:14] I haven't craven to go back and watch Lucha Underground at times.
[00:59:17] Because I'm always like, God damn, I just want good stories.
[00:59:20] Is that too much to ask?
[00:59:22] And Lucha Underground was goofy as shit.
[00:59:25] And it was still better.
[00:59:28] It was, but it wasn't.
[00:59:30] Because it wasn't, like, too far-fetched from wrestling.
[00:59:33] You know, like...
[00:59:34] No, and...
[00:59:35] Coming back.
[00:59:36] Well, and the thing I...
[00:59:37] The thing I always say about wrestling and narrative storytelling...
[00:59:40] It can get super weird...
[00:59:43] As long as you adhere to the rules that you establish in your universe.
[00:59:49] Like, in Lucha Underground, people literally come back from the dead.
[00:59:53] Yeah.
[00:59:54] But that's okay.
[00:59:55] Because rules are established.
[00:59:57] And it's not just random.
[01:00:00] There's reason to the madness.
[01:00:03] Yeah.
[01:00:04] You know, it's goofy as shit.
[01:00:06] It's a fight club in the middle of Los Angeles.
[01:00:08] And the cops never come.
[01:00:11] It was, but it was still good.
[01:00:13] They established the rules.
[01:00:15] And honestly, the match concepts were really clever.
[01:00:17] Like, I love the idea of the Gift of the Gods championship.
[01:00:21] Because you could have these big group matches.
[01:00:23] These free-for-alls.
[01:00:25] And they mattered.
[01:00:26] Because when you won that medallion.
[01:00:28] Yeah.
[01:00:29] The mat was even...
[01:00:30] Loved the mat, too.
[01:00:32] Loved the mat.
[01:00:33] The mat was great.
[01:00:34] I like the whole concept of the temple.
[01:00:36] Like, it was a small area.
[01:00:37] But it felt like an arena.
[01:00:39] It felt like a stadium, man.
[01:00:40] Because everybody was just...
[01:00:43] The crowd was always so into it.
[01:00:46] That's the thing.
[01:00:47] They actually...
[01:00:47] It was a small space.
[01:00:48] But they worked with that small space.
[01:00:50] See?
[01:00:51] And I wish AEW...
[01:00:52] Well, there's...
[01:00:53] They're starting to.
[01:00:54] And I think the reason being...
[01:00:55] I'm going to give...
[01:00:56] I think what they fell into is...
[01:00:58] A company that big will schedule events well in advance.
[01:01:02] Yeah.
[01:01:03] And I will say this.
[01:01:04] Because I happened...
[01:01:06] This is why I think this.
[01:01:07] I think they had just scheduled so far out in bigger arenas.
[01:01:11] Because AEW recently came to my area.
[01:01:13] But not to the usual place.
[01:01:14] They went to a smaller venue this time.
[01:01:17] Oh, okay.
[01:01:18] They actually died.
[01:01:19] I'm sorry about it.
[01:01:21] Yeah.
[01:01:22] Well, because I think a lot of those buildings are scheduled a year in advance.
[01:01:25] So...
[01:01:26] You kind of don't have a choice.
[01:01:28] Mm-hmm.
[01:01:28] At times.
[01:01:30] And it seems pretty clear.
[01:01:32] Because now they do seem to be going to smaller arenas.
[01:01:35] Because the secret isn't so much the crowd size.
[01:01:38] It's the crowd size feel.
[01:01:40] So...
[01:01:40] Yeah, yeah.
[01:01:41] If you're at a place that seats 500 people.
[01:01:43] And it's got 500 people that are rabidly happy to be there.
[01:01:47] Yeah.
[01:01:48] It's going to feel like double that.
[01:01:50] It's better.
[01:01:51] You know...
[01:01:51] It's better than being at a place that seats 5,000 and having 25.
[01:01:55] I agree.
[01:01:57] Yeah.
[01:01:57] It's going to be better.
[01:01:59] And I've said that.
[01:01:59] I've been to indie shows that seat like maybe 100 people.
[01:02:03] And if you got 80 people there...
[01:02:06] That are excited to be there and chomping at the bit.
[01:02:09] And, you know...
[01:02:10] Yeah.
[01:02:11] It's a totally different...
[01:02:12] It's a totally different feel.
[01:02:14] Yeah.
[01:02:14] Look at like ECW.
[01:02:16] That was like not the biggest arena.
[01:02:18] But, you know...
[01:02:20] It sounded like it.
[01:02:23] Yeah.
[01:02:23] There is one note though.
[01:02:27] It's funny because I actually liked the spot in Lucha Underground.
[01:02:30] But I realize now...
[01:02:33] It's because Pender never actually does it in a match unless it's a finish.
[01:02:37] Is the spot where he breaks people's arms.
[01:02:39] Which all he's really doing is dislocating their shoulder.
[01:02:42] Which is hilarious because people hold their forearm.
[01:02:45] Yeah.
[01:02:46] But that motion would dislocate your shoulder before anything else.
[01:02:50] Because, fun fact, your arm actually bends that way to a certain extent.
[01:02:55] But, um...
[01:02:56] Yeah.
[01:02:57] In AEW, he does it in the middle of a match.
[01:03:00] And the people are like, oh, my arm's broken.
[01:03:01] But then they use their arm when if your arm was broken, you...
[01:03:05] Yeah, yeah.
[01:03:06] You wouldn't...
[01:03:06] That's when it doesn't make sense.
[01:03:07] Yeah, you wouldn't be...
[01:03:08] You wouldn't be able to use it.
[01:03:11] Mm-hmm.
[01:03:12] Or at the very least, it would be excruciatingly painful.
[01:03:15] Yeah.
[01:03:16] Because, I mean, you can use your arm to a certain extent depending on how badly your shoulder's dislocated.
[01:03:22] It just hurts like a motherfucker.
[01:03:24] But...
[01:03:25] There was one...
[01:03:26] Who was it?
[01:03:27] I think it was, um...
[01:03:31] Actually, I take that back.
[01:03:32] I think this is in WWE.
[01:03:33] I think it was Shayna Baszler.
[01:03:35] They did a spot where she dislocated her shoulder and then she rammed it back in on the ring post.
[01:03:40] Oh, okay, yeah.
[01:03:42] Yeah, I remember.
[01:03:42] I was about...
[01:03:43] I want to say, did Thunder Rosa do something like that?
[01:03:46] But now I think it was Shayna Baszler.
[01:03:48] No, I don't think so.
[01:03:49] Yeah, I think it was just Shayna Baszler.
[01:03:51] Oh, it was her match against Ronda Rousey, I think.
[01:03:55] Okay, the last one?
[01:03:57] I think so.
[01:03:58] Maybe.
[01:04:01] I remember it being like...
[01:04:02] At the time, I was kind of like, eh, I don't know that I would have done that.
[01:04:05] But at least the way they did it, it...
[01:04:07] I mean, Shayna sold it well.
[01:04:09] Yeah, I mean, from a narrative perspective, like...
[01:04:12] Shayna Baszler doing that makes sense.
[01:04:14] Somebody like...
[01:04:16] I don't know, Riho doing that would be stupid as shit.
[01:04:20] You say that, but I actually would like that.
[01:04:22] I'd respect her more.
[01:04:24] Exactly, yeah.
[01:04:28] Maybe that's what we need.
[01:04:29] Maybe...
[01:04:29] Maybe we need Riho to just be in a hardcore, like, death match.
[01:04:33] Yeah.
[01:04:33] Yeah.
[01:04:35] Come out looking like Reagan from The Exorcist.
[01:04:39] You know, the ring girl.
[01:04:41] I was gonna say Abaddon, but...
[01:04:43] Is Abaddon even still there?
[01:04:45] I haven't.
[01:04:46] I think she...
[01:04:47] They released her.
[01:04:48] Oh, God.
[01:04:49] Thank goodness.
[01:04:51] Well, you never...
[01:04:52] We never saw her.
[01:04:54] I think it was...
[01:04:55] She was on dark for a little bit.
[01:04:57] And I said, you know...
[01:05:00] Nobody ever thought to shoot the zombie in the head.
[01:05:05] Is nobody ever thought...
[01:05:06] Have you seen...
[01:05:08] There's...
[01:05:08] I forget who it is.
[01:05:09] There's a match they did in Japan, though, where...
[01:05:11] Guy brings out a gun.
[01:05:15] In the middle of a match.
[01:05:16] Which I always...
[01:05:19] I always...
[01:05:20] Actually, I think I heard Jim Cornette say this once.
[01:05:22] He did, yeah.
[01:05:24] He's like...
[01:05:25] He's like...
[01:05:25] It's like, there's no such thing as a no-rules match.
[01:05:27] Because if there was, you just bring a gun and shoot a motherfucker.
[01:05:30] Yeah.
[01:05:32] So there's rules!
[01:05:35] So that's why they used to call it No Holds Barred.
[01:05:38] Yeah.
[01:05:39] Because No Holds Barred means there are still rules.
[01:05:41] They just can't disqualify you for using moves.
[01:05:47] Or, like, in a...
[01:05:49] I quit match.
[01:05:50] Why wouldn't you just bring a gun to the ring and point it at the dude and say,
[01:05:53] I quit or you're dead?
[01:05:54] Yeah.
[01:05:56] Because it's like, yeah, logically you can say, well, you'll go to jail.
[01:05:58] It's like, yeah, but you'll be dead.
[01:05:59] So I would quit if I were you.
[01:06:01] Yeah.
[01:06:03] It's wild.
[01:06:05] Anyway, where was I going with this?
[01:06:06] Oh, yeah.
[01:06:07] So I never...
[01:06:08] I never like it when Penta does that spot.
[01:06:11] Except in Lucha Underground, because he always did it as a finish.
[01:06:15] And that's what it should be, a finish.
[01:06:17] Well, and there were times...
[01:06:18] Yeah.
[01:06:19] There were times where people, if I'm not mistaken, actually came in the next episode,
[01:06:23] had their arm in a sling.
[01:06:26] Oh, okay.
[01:06:27] I could be wrong.
[01:06:28] I need to...
[01:06:28] I would need to check that.
[01:06:30] But, I mean, they would sell it.
[01:06:31] And to Matt Jackson's credit, to his credit, he was selling it.
[01:06:37] There's one spot where he grabs...
[01:06:40] Is it PentaGuard?
[01:06:41] He grabs Phoenix, I think.
[01:06:43] And he does...
[01:06:44] He makes sure he has him, but then he does the whole, like, ah, this hurts, this hurts,
[01:06:48] you know.
[01:06:48] So kudos to that.
[01:06:50] Major kudos to that.
[01:06:52] Because, like I said, at least he sold it.
[01:06:58] But the Buckaroos won.
[01:07:02] Yeah, I already knew they would.
[01:07:04] Like, you know where they would lose.
[01:07:06] Well, I don't know.
[01:07:07] It was for the...
[01:07:07] It was for the AAA.
[01:07:10] Oh, yeah.
[01:07:12] So, I mean, maybe.
[01:07:14] That was...
[01:07:15] And this was also a weird time in AEW, because AEW had no titles yet.
[01:07:18] So, it was the only...
[01:07:20] It was the only title match of the night.
[01:07:26] Yeah, I didn't think that.
[01:07:27] Yeah, you're right.
[01:07:32] Um...
[01:07:32] Okay, so yeah.
[01:07:33] And then we just had the main event, which...
[01:07:36] This is one of those matches where...
[01:07:40] It wasn't a bad match, but it does lose its luster when...
[01:07:45] You know how it ends.
[01:07:48] Mm-hmm.
[01:07:50] Because...
[01:07:50] So this is an interesting thought.
[01:07:54] When you don't know the ending, Jericho's style is quite effective.
[01:07:59] Because it's the back-and-forth, back-and-forth, will-he-won't-he sort of style.
[01:08:04] Yeah.
[01:08:04] Mm-hmm.
[01:08:05] The reviewability's not really there.
[01:08:07] And that's not a dig at Jericho or Omega.
[01:08:10] It's just...
[01:08:11] When you know the ending, that sort of back-and-forth, you know, style of match just loses some of its luster.
[01:08:18] Especially if you're just rooting for one or the other.
[01:08:23] Particularly Jericho.
[01:08:25] What doesn't lose its luster, though, is how friggin' awesome it was when Moxley came in through the crowd.
[01:08:33] Yeah, that was...
[01:08:34] That's where I was popped to from that.
[01:08:37] I popped again.
[01:08:38] Not gonna lie.
[01:08:39] Because I remember what that was like.
[01:08:40] Because that was...
[01:08:43] People gotta remember, this was such an exciting time in wrestling.
[01:08:46] Because there were rumors because Dean Ambrose had just left WWE.
[01:08:50] Like...
[01:08:51] Yeah.
[01:08:51] But everybody was kind of like, well, yeah, but he's gonna have a non-compete, so he can't be there.
[01:08:57] You know?
[01:08:58] But there were rumors, and then when he showed up, everybody was like, oh, like, legitimate holy shit.
[01:09:02] Like, it's not like now.
[01:09:05] Where, you know, when somebody leaves WWE, you're like, oh, they're either going to AEW or Impact.
[01:09:10] Like, we know.
[01:09:10] Like, this was...
[01:09:11] This was a time where people didn't leave WWE.
[01:09:13] WWE?
[01:09:14] Yeah.
[01:09:16] Like, come on.
[01:09:17] I mean, Jericho did, but he wasn't there in the first place.
[01:09:20] Yeah, he'd been removed from there for, like, months to maybe a year or so.
[01:09:25] Dog, what are you doing?
[01:09:27] Hey, leave that alone.
[01:09:30] Leave that alone.
[01:09:31] Why do you want that?
[01:09:32] Stop it.
[01:09:35] Don't...
[01:09:35] Me.
[01:09:37] I'll put you in the walls of Jericho.
[01:09:43] Get over here.
[01:09:44] Come here.
[01:09:45] Anyway.
[01:09:47] That being said, though, the match was really good.
[01:09:50] Yeah.
[01:09:51] And I will say, I disagree.
[01:09:52] And I...
[01:09:54] I'll put it this way.
[01:09:55] I'm sure he's right because he knows way better than me.
[01:09:57] But personally, I disagree with Jim Cornette's assessment of the V trigger.
[01:10:02] He says it looks like shit.
[01:10:06] And I...
[01:10:07] I...
[01:10:08] Show me a better knee strike.
[01:10:10] Mm-hmm.
[01:10:10] I mean, it looks absolutely devastating.
[01:10:14] Mm-hmm.
[01:10:16] Now, I'm sure...
[01:10:17] What looks stupid is when they do the tag team thing where it's like the young bucks.
[01:10:21] Oh, the...
[01:10:22] Like, hold...
[01:10:22] The BTE trigger?
[01:10:24] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:10:25] That looks kind of like...
[01:10:27] It's not as impactful.
[01:10:28] Well, not only that...
[01:10:30] Well, it kind of can't be because the dirty little secret is...
[01:10:34] Um...
[01:10:35] If three people...
[01:10:37] With all of their strength...
[01:10:39] Grow three knees into a human head...
[01:10:42] You would probably kill a motherfucker.
[01:10:45] Yeah.
[01:10:46] It takes surprisingly little force to fracture a human skull, relatively speaking.
[01:10:53] Yeah.
[01:10:54] And three knees at full blast from athletic adult males...
[01:10:59] Um...
[01:11:00] Would at least fracture a skull if not crush someone's head.
[01:11:04] Yeah.
[01:11:04] Not only that...
[01:11:05] The risk of you missing and clashing with each other's knees is really high.
[01:11:11] Mm-hmm.
[01:11:12] So...
[01:11:13] In the real world, it would not be effective.
[01:11:16] That being said, though, if you did land it, you would almost certainly break someone's nose or crack their orbital bone.
[01:11:23] Or break your...
[01:11:24] Or break your...
[01:11:26] Like, ankle or something.
[01:11:28] Yeah, maybe.
[01:11:28] But the V trigger, which is just a running knee strike, um...
[01:11:32] Mm-hmm.
[01:11:34] Is...
[01:11:34] I mean, that's...
[01:11:35] That's hardcore.
[01:11:36] People win, you know, fights with knockouts with that move.
[01:11:40] Running knee strikes are brutal.
[01:11:42] Especially if you manage to do it to somebody from behind when they can't see it coming.
[01:11:48] Especially when Kenny does it.
[01:11:50] Yeah, it's very...
[01:11:51] I say others who do it, but, like, the way he does it is, like, so impactful.
[01:11:55] Yeah, he gets the running start.
[01:11:56] And the trick he does is he...
[01:11:57] Obviously, he doesn't make contact with the knee.
[01:11:59] He makes contact with his shin, which is a higher surface area.
[01:12:03] But, I mean, it just looks...
[01:12:04] It looks gnarly.
[01:12:05] It still looks like it's painful to take.
[01:12:08] Oh, it would be.
[01:12:11] Yeah, but it's also significantly safer to do it the way he does it.
[01:12:14] But, I mean, it looks...
[01:12:15] It's kind of like a Snapdragon suplex.
[01:12:17] Like, it looks gnarly.
[01:12:18] Okay, yeah.
[01:12:19] Yeah.
[01:12:20] Which is another thing that Cornette complains about.
[01:12:22] And I'm over here.
[01:12:23] I'm kind of like, I don't get why you think that.
[01:12:25] But, I mean, you're right, because you're Jim Cornette.
[01:12:28] But, like, I don't see what you see.
[01:12:32] Because, to me, that looks gnarly as shit.
[01:12:36] I always worry for their necks when I see that.
[01:12:39] It was like it snaps their neck in half.
[01:12:41] Yeah.
[01:12:43] It's kind of like...
[01:12:45] It's kind of like that match that Kenny and Ospreay had in New Japan.
[01:12:48] Where, I mean, they literally...
[01:12:49] The two matches in one where they could have ended that match in the middle.
[01:12:53] And it would have been a five-star match.
[01:12:55] Because they just...
[01:12:57] I mean, they looked like they were dead.
[01:12:59] At one point, I think it looked like Ospreay killed Kenny Omega.
[01:13:02] Like, that's how brutal it was.
[01:13:06] And then they went on and had another match in the exact same ring in the same night.
[01:13:12] Because it was just like, why?
[01:13:13] Like, you already killed him.
[01:13:18] I'm talking about beating a dead horse.
[01:13:23] The other note I had, though, is I miss early AEW Jericho.
[01:13:27] Like, Inner Circle era Jericho.
[01:13:30] Oh, yeah.
[01:13:30] That was so good.
[01:13:31] I was watching, like, clips of that.
[01:13:33] Him versus, like, Coley.
[01:13:34] Yeah, it was so good.
[01:13:36] MJF was in there, too.
[01:13:38] It was really good.
[01:13:39] It was really good.
[01:13:40] And, honestly, looking back at that time, if we were being honest, like, who else?
[01:13:44] Who else would have been an appropriate first AEW champion?
[01:13:49] At the time, it would have been either Kenny or Jericho.
[01:13:54] Yeah.
[01:13:56] And, frankly...
[01:13:57] I guess they didn't push Kenny because he was, like, I guess, one of the MVPs or something.
[01:14:03] Maybe that's why they didn't push him.
[01:14:05] That was when Kenny and the Bucks and Cody were doing some of the booking.
[01:14:10] Yeah, yeah.
[01:14:12] And they were putting other people over, which, according to what I read, Tony Khan took control away because his logic was, you guys are the elite.
[01:14:23] You guys are the stars.
[01:14:23] You should be winning.
[01:14:25] So, I can see both sides of it.
[01:14:27] I get Tony's point, but at the same time, you do want to put over new talent.
[01:14:31] That being said, that was probably the best time ever to make Kenny the heavyweight champion because he had just come off his New Japan title reign.
[01:14:40] And he was, like, he was considered the best wrestler in the world at the time.
[01:14:46] So...
[01:14:46] But, I also understand why you put it on Jericho.
[01:14:50] And I think long-term, that was probably a better decision.
[01:14:53] It probably was because I do say, like, Jericho was more of a household name.
[01:14:58] He gave the title instant credibility.
[01:15:01] Yeah, yeah.
[01:15:03] It's like, people still may not even know who Kenny Omega is.
[01:15:07] Yeah, and that's an astute observation, which actually, I think Kenny said at one point, he was like...
[01:15:14] I mean, it makes sense.
[01:15:15] He really wasn't wrestling in the States all that much.
[01:15:17] And when he was, it was on Ring of Honor, which was a limited television program.
[01:15:20] Yeah.
[01:15:21] I mean, it was awesome when he did, but...
[01:15:24] I mean, that was, you know...
[01:15:26] It would have been completely logical to assume that a mainstream television audience in the United States would have never known who Kenny Omega was.
[01:15:34] Mm-hmm.
[01:15:35] Would have been a completely justifiable view.
[01:15:37] Now, like, obviously, the hardcore wrestling nerds knew, but you're not trying to get...
[01:15:41] Because they're going to watch anyway.
[01:15:42] They're going to watch no matter what you do.
[01:15:44] And somewhere along the way, AEW and Tony Khan forgot that fact, that the hardcore wrestling nerds are going to watch your show no matter what you do, because they're hardcore wrestling nerds.
[01:15:54] Yeah.
[01:15:57] So, when you had CM Punk, oh God, you had the opportunity of a lifetime.
[01:16:03] I still don't get how that life slipped through your hands.
[01:16:06] It was so much story there.
[01:16:08] Because the Bucks.
[01:16:09] It was the Bucks.
[01:16:11] Oh, yeah.
[01:16:11] I know now, but you're right.
[01:16:13] I didn't know now, just...
[01:16:14] I just don't get it, man.
[01:16:16] I was there, why?
[01:16:17] I just don't get it, man.
[01:16:18] Because it's like, oh, look at all this money we could have, and the only thing we have to do is not be the face of the company for a while.
[01:16:25] Uh-huh.
[01:16:26] So, we have to work less and bring in all this money and grow the company that we developed and we know and love and we will always be associated with.
[01:16:36] And...
[01:16:36] It was almost like their egos got in a way, you know...
[01:16:39] It wasn't almost, it was their egos got in a way.
[01:16:42] I mean, there's no almost about it.
[01:16:44] That's what happened.
[01:16:46] I mean, I'm sorry, dude, but it's like, if CM Punk tells you something about wrestling, you shut up and you say thank you.
[01:16:56] And you do it.
[01:16:58] Because this is CM Punk.
[01:17:01] He's the reason why half of people was there.
[01:17:04] Yeah, exactly.
[01:17:05] He's the reason half that locker room exists.
[01:17:07] He's the reason why 80% of the audience was there and 50% of the locker room.
[01:17:16] So, yeah.
[01:17:19] And I mean, the thing is, you can agree to disagree, but there were so many people that were just like apparently blatantly disrespectful.
[01:17:26] And just to go out of your way, I just don't get it, man.
[01:17:29] I just don't get it.
[01:17:30] But apparently, apparently Punk and Kenny are on good terms, according to Kenny.
[01:17:35] Yeah, that's what he said.
[01:17:36] He had like a live stream or something.
[01:17:38] He was like, they're fine.
[01:17:41] I'm not sure they could talk or whatever about it, but he said they're fine with it.
[01:17:45] Yeah, he said he couldn't talk about it, but...
[01:17:48] Yeah, yeah.
[01:17:49] I believe when you eventually see Kenny Omega in WWE, because I think it's going to happen eventually.
[01:17:58] I don't know.
[01:17:59] I honestly think he might be a hole out or he might just have to retire.
[01:18:06] Well, yeah, fair enough.
[01:18:08] That'd be a damn shame, though.
[01:18:10] It would be, because people still haven't seen the Kenny I've seen in New Japan.
[01:18:17] It's a completely different Kenny than what you see now in WWE.
[01:18:19] And we still haven't seen it, man.
[01:18:21] We still haven't seen it.
[01:18:24] We've seen glimpses of it.
[01:18:26] Yeah, yeah.
[01:18:26] There's hints.
[01:18:27] There's hints here and there.
[01:18:29] But it's nothing...
[01:18:31] I'm sorry.
[01:18:32] It's nothing like where it used to be.
[01:18:34] Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
[01:18:36] I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a dry throat tonight, because I'm like...
[01:18:39] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:18:39] There was a minute there where I was like, whoa.
[01:18:42] Yeah.
[01:18:43] What was that?
[01:18:46] We talk a lot, folks.
[01:18:48] We talk a lot.
[01:18:54] Things to weather.
[01:18:57] It's finally...
[01:18:58] I'm sure it's cold where you are.
[01:18:59] It's finally starting to get brisk.
[01:19:01] Consistently brisk here, so...
[01:19:04] Mid-November, yeah.
[01:19:06] It's getting...
[01:19:07] I turn my heat on consistently.
[01:19:09] Same here.
[01:19:10] It's just the air over here.
[01:19:11] Like, there's so many, like, wildfires.
[01:19:13] Oh, yeah.
[01:19:14] You've got that.
[01:19:15] Yeah.
[01:19:16] Clean New York air.
[01:19:19] Smog.
[01:19:20] Go outside and go...
[01:19:26] Her neighbor looks across and be like, this is such a brisk day.
[01:19:32] You get used to it.
[01:19:33] Yeah, exactly.
[01:19:36] Oh, gosh.
[01:19:38] Yeah, we got used to AEW for sure.
[01:19:42] Yeah.
[01:19:42] But even the mock reveal, I'll be honest, was like...
[01:19:46] Probably like eight minutes too long.
[01:19:50] I guess he had to walk him to the poker chip, because God knows they had to DDT him on top of the poker chip.
[01:19:57] Honestly, I hate that theme about AEW.
[01:20:00] It's the casino theme or the poker chip stuff.
[01:20:04] Well, I mean, they were...
[01:20:05] I really don't understand why.
[01:20:06] Well, it's double or nothing.
[01:20:08] I get it.
[01:20:09] I know, I know.
[01:20:10] I just don't know why they like me.
[01:20:12] It's a bit on the nose, though.
[01:20:14] Yeah, it's a bit on the nose.
[01:20:16] I can see that.
[01:20:20] Oh.
[01:20:21] It's getting a little bit better.
[01:20:24] I hear...
[01:20:24] I need to...
[01:20:25] I'm making this a promise to everyone.
[01:20:28] I'm going to be better about watching my wrestling.
[01:20:32] Although, they took all the WDB programming off Hulu.
[01:20:36] Oh, they did?
[01:20:37] And I'm pissed.
[01:20:40] So now I have to DVR it, and I don't want to.
[01:20:43] Although, starting next year, I don't remember what month, but Raw's going to be on Netflix, so...
[01:20:49] Oh, yeah.
[01:20:49] I forgot they're moving to Netflix.
[01:20:50] Oh, this Friday, apparently, is the Tyson-Jake Paul fight.
[01:20:56] Oh, it is?
[01:20:57] Yeah.
[01:20:59] So, you think it's going to win?
[01:21:03] I'm afraid.
[01:21:06] Not because I think Jake Paul could actually win a boxing match with Mike Tyson, but I think there's some fuckery here.
[01:21:13] Oh, I know it is.
[01:21:15] Yeah.
[01:21:15] It's like...
[01:21:16] On both sides, to be honest.
[01:21:18] Oh, no.
[01:21:18] This is a fucking work.
[01:21:21] Yeah, yeah.
[01:21:22] Of course.
[01:21:22] It's like, okay, Tyson got to sell his supplements or be part of some supplement company.
[01:21:28] Well, listen, if you buy this, you can be a champion, too.
[01:21:33] Yeah, yeah.
[01:21:34] Pretty much.
[01:21:35] And Jake got his prime.
[01:21:37] Well, Jake is being so blatantly disrespectful that if this wasn't a work, Tyson would knock him out in the alley behind the building.
[01:21:47] Yeah.
[01:21:48] It feels like the situation where it was like Logan and that boxer guy.
[01:21:54] I forgot his name.
[01:21:55] Yeah, exactly.
[01:21:55] This feels like...
[01:21:57] Mayweather.
[01:21:57] Yeah, this feels like...
[01:22:00] Frankly, this feels like WWE.
[01:22:02] But I will say this, though.
[01:22:05] Jake Paul...
[01:22:07] I want Jake Paul...
[01:22:09] Actually, the only silver lining if Jake Paul wins this fight is that you'll probably see him fight Canelo.
[01:22:21] In a way, I kind of hope he does win.
[01:22:23] That way, he could actually fight a real boxer.
[01:22:26] Like, in his age group.
[01:22:28] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:22:28] That's what I'm saying.
[01:22:29] So, it's like...
[01:22:30] But that being said, I really want Tyson to just knock him out and have him fight Canelo anyway.
[01:22:35] Because what I want...
[01:22:35] This is what I want to happen in my dream scenario.
[01:22:38] Is Tyson knocks his ass out in the first round.
[01:22:42] Just lays him out.
[01:22:44] And then, after that, Canelo comes along and says...
[01:22:48] Oh, remember all that shit you were talking?
[01:22:53] Fuck around and find out.
[01:22:55] You know?
[01:22:57] But, I don't know.
[01:22:59] Because here's the thing.
[01:22:59] I'm not huge into boxing.
[01:23:01] But obviously, I want Tyson to win.
[01:23:03] But I respect the hell out of Canelo.
[01:23:06] Yeah, me too.
[01:23:07] I don't think Jake Paul would take that fight, though.
[01:23:09] Like, legitimately.
[01:23:11] Because...
[01:23:11] Canelo doesn't...
[01:23:12] Canelo certainly doesn't need the money.
[01:23:15] Yeah, I honestly don't think he would.
[01:23:18] I don't think he would.
[01:23:21] Because with Tyson, it's a win-win.
[01:23:23] If he loses...
[01:23:24] Okay, well, it's against Tyson.
[01:23:25] Oh, no.
[01:23:26] I lost to Mike Tyson.
[01:23:27] One of the best boxers to ever live.
[01:23:31] Chucks.
[01:23:32] You know?
[01:23:33] If he wins...
[01:23:34] Like, come on.
[01:23:35] He beat Mike Tyson.
[01:23:36] And who cares if he was 50?
[01:23:37] He's still Mike Tyson, right?
[01:23:39] Exactly.
[01:23:41] But I really want Canelo.
[01:23:42] I really want Canelo to knock him out.
[01:23:46] Like, I really want Canelo to knock him out.
[01:23:49] And the thing is...
[01:23:51] He will.
[01:23:53] If any of these fights were legitimate,
[01:23:55] he'd get knocked the fuck out.
[01:23:58] Yeah, and I would just say,
[01:23:59] look at who he's been fighting.
[01:24:01] Like, he's fighting, like, MMA guys,
[01:24:03] or people who are not technically boxers,
[01:24:05] you know?
[01:24:07] Well, and the one time he did...
[01:24:09] The one time he did fight a legit boxer,
[01:24:11] he got...
[01:24:11] He lost.
[01:24:12] He got wrecked.
[01:24:13] Yeah, like...
[01:24:14] He lost hard.
[01:24:16] Like...
[01:24:16] And the thing is, like,
[01:24:18] I'm actually slowly losing respect for Jake Paul
[01:24:21] because of this.
[01:24:22] But, like, I give credit where credit's due.
[01:24:24] The guy trains, you know,
[01:24:25] like an animal.
[01:24:26] Oh, yeah, yeah.
[01:24:26] I mean...
[01:24:27] I would say he did a train, yeah.
[01:24:28] And he gets in the ring and gets punched in the face.
[01:24:30] There's respect for anybody that does that.
[01:24:32] All I'm saying is that
[01:24:33] if you're talking that level of trash,
[01:24:36] then you need to fight contenders.
[01:24:38] Yeah.
[01:24:39] If you want to do sort of like
[01:24:41] the exhibition kind of stuff
[01:24:42] that he's largely been doing,
[01:24:43] that's fine.
[01:24:44] Just don't talk that level of trash.
[01:24:46] That's all I'm saying.
[01:24:47] Because that's like me
[01:24:49] going up and talking trash against, like...
[01:24:53] I don't know what a good example is.
[01:24:54] Like, any mixed martial artist
[01:24:56] that's competitive, right?
[01:24:58] Yeah.
[01:25:00] And then being like,
[01:25:01] well, I'm only going to fight guys
[01:25:02] at my school, you know?
[01:25:05] And only the guys I can take.
[01:25:08] You know?
[01:25:09] Like, I get wrecked by
[01:25:11] well over half my school.
[01:25:15] I'm a lover, not a fighter.
[01:25:19] That's why I like pro wrestling.
[01:25:21] Just kidding.
[01:25:22] Yeah, it's safer.
[01:25:23] Well, I don't know.
[01:25:25] Oh, it depends.
[01:25:26] It depends where you wrestle.
[01:25:29] Yeah, exactly.
[01:25:30] Where you wrestle.
[01:25:31] AEW, where the big bones break.
[01:25:35] Oh, and that being said,
[01:25:37] another podcast I would like to...
[01:25:38] If you enjoy what we do
[01:25:39] on Down the Middle with Pro Wrestling
[01:25:41] and you would like something similar
[01:25:42] with pop culture,
[01:25:43] well, by golly,
[01:25:45] do we have a podcast for you.
[01:25:47] Toon Talk 2.0,
[01:25:48] where every Tuesday,
[01:25:49] my co-host and I,
[01:25:51] VirusVox,
[01:25:52] basically lampoon
[01:25:53] everything that's going on
[01:25:54] in pop culture
[01:25:55] and I may get my personal mission
[01:25:57] to piss him off
[01:25:58] on every podcast episode.
[01:25:59] It's not my fault
[01:26:00] he has horrendous hot takes
[01:26:01] that make no sense whatsoever.
[01:26:04] What he doesn't know
[01:26:05] is that I have a history
[01:26:07] of being able to call out
[01:26:08] that kind of bullshit
[01:26:08] because I've been watching
[01:26:09] AEW for five years.
[01:26:11] Yeah, I was watching
[01:26:12] the last one you guys did.
[01:26:14] It's pretty good.
[01:26:16] Which one was that?
[01:26:16] I can't remember.
[01:26:18] What did we do?
[01:26:21] Was it the one
[01:26:21] you was talking about,
[01:26:22] like DBZ
[01:26:23] or the new Dragon Ball?
[01:26:26] Oh, I think that was
[01:26:27] Average Intelligence
[01:26:28] that you were...
[01:26:29] Oh, okay.
[01:26:30] I was getting mixed up.
[01:26:31] Yeah.
[01:26:33] Yeah.
[01:26:33] Although,
[01:26:34] I will say,
[01:26:35] oh, and just to let everybody know,
[01:26:37] the ARTI Awards
[01:26:37] are coming up.
[01:26:39] Voting will be in December
[01:26:40] and the winners will be announced,
[01:26:41] which you and I have to figure out
[01:26:43] which of our episodes
[01:26:44] we want to nominate.
[01:26:47] But,
[01:26:49] our fans,
[01:26:50] we will let you know
[01:26:53] when we have the voting open
[01:26:55] so you can come and vote for us.
[01:26:59] Get us that coveted championship.
[01:27:03] It does look pretty awesome.
[01:27:05] It is pretty awesome.
[01:27:06] They are.
[01:27:07] They're pretty sweet.
[01:27:09] You know,
[01:27:11] I think it would be really cool
[01:27:12] if one day
[01:27:13] I could
[01:27:14] hold one of those titles,
[01:27:16] you know.
[01:27:16] It would be
[01:27:18] really cool
[01:27:19] to
[01:27:20] be able to...
[01:27:21] Oh, look at...
[01:27:22] Oh, yeah.
[01:27:23] Actually,
[01:27:24] fun fact about this,
[01:27:25] I don't know how this happened.
[01:27:27] I did not vote for me.
[01:27:30] Story didn't.
[01:27:31] I did.
[01:27:31] I promise.
[01:27:33] I voted for the Goosebumps crew.
[01:27:35] I'll be crystal clear about that.
[01:27:37] Oh, okay.
[01:27:37] Yeah.
[01:27:39] Because I really did feel that in 2023,
[01:27:42] they were the podcast of the year.
[01:27:44] I legit...
[01:27:46] I legit felt that way.
[01:27:49] But,
[01:27:50] I got like 60% of the votes.
[01:27:53] So I was like,
[01:27:54] I don't know how this happened.
[01:27:58] What?
[01:27:58] You can also vote for the Air Take podcast
[01:28:00] and make it the first ever two-time
[01:28:02] podcast of the year award winner?
[01:28:05] It's already the first podcast of the year award winner?
[01:28:08] No, but you should vote for down the middle
[01:28:10] because you love pro wrestling.
[01:28:12] You love talking about pro wrestling
[01:28:13] and you have listened to us
[01:28:14] talk about pro wrestling.
[01:28:15] So you should totally get us that belt
[01:28:16] because that belt will look sick.
[01:28:19] Yeah, it will.
[01:28:20] It'll look awesome.
[01:28:21] Honestly, I may buy one myself.
[01:28:25] Well, I'm thinking...
[01:28:26] I got to figure out how to do it,
[01:28:28] but they now have customizable rings.
[01:28:31] Oh, yeah.
[01:28:31] I was just going to say that.
[01:28:32] In a true rip-off of AEW,
[01:28:35] one of the awards could be a ring.
[01:28:37] Yeah.
[01:28:40] So we could rip off
[01:28:41] like the dynamite diamond ring.
[01:28:45] Oh, gosh.
[01:28:46] But anyway,
[01:28:47] any other thoughts on
[01:28:48] Double or Nothing
[01:28:50] numero uno?
[01:28:52] It was a good pay-per-view.
[01:28:54] It was pretty decent.
[01:28:56] I would say it's much better
[01:28:57] than
[01:28:59] a lot of what they're doing now.
[01:29:00] And it was easy to watch.
[01:29:02] It didn't feel like too long.
[01:29:05] Some parts were...
[01:29:06] Well, I take that back.
[01:29:07] This was like...
[01:29:08] This was a solid five-hour pay-per-view
[01:29:10] if you include the pre-show, so...
[01:29:13] Yeah, yeah, it was.
[01:29:14] But sometimes even like
[01:29:16] the shorter ones
[01:29:18] seemed like
[01:29:19] to drag on forever.
[01:29:20] The pacing was good.
[01:29:21] This was pretty fast-paced.
[01:29:23] It didn't really feel
[01:29:24] like it dragged.
[01:29:27] Yeah, starting with the first match
[01:29:28] I saw with the SCU
[01:29:30] versus the other guys.
[01:29:32] It was great.
[01:29:33] You know what I mean?
[01:29:34] I liked that one.
[01:29:35] Yeah.
[01:29:36] Well, I mean,
[01:29:36] it's just...
[01:29:37] God, I miss SCU so much.
[01:29:40] I do too.
[01:29:41] It's like
[01:29:41] there's no one there.
[01:29:43] There's Scrubber Scott.
[01:29:44] Scott is still there,
[01:29:45] but he's not there.
[01:29:46] Is he though?
[01:29:48] Yeah.
[01:29:49] And Frankie
[01:29:49] just left
[01:29:50] because I'm sure he was like...
[01:29:52] Yeah.
[01:29:52] I'm sure he was like,
[01:29:53] I'm Frankie Kazarian.
[01:29:55] Why am I not on television?
[01:29:58] Oh, hardcore.
[01:29:59] Hardcore.
[01:30:00] And I get it.
[01:30:01] Yeah.
[01:30:02] I totally get it.
[01:30:03] He's one person
[01:30:04] that you could see
[01:30:04] he has a passion for wrestling.
[01:30:06] He really wants to
[01:30:08] forget the money,
[01:30:09] but he wants to actually wrestle.
[01:30:11] Well, it's like
[01:30:11] I was kind of alluding to earlier.
[01:30:13] You reach a point
[01:30:14] where you have enough money.
[01:30:16] Your bases are covered.
[01:30:18] You're comfortable.
[01:30:18] Your family's comfortable.
[01:30:20] Yeah.
[01:30:20] And you can maintain that
[01:30:22] if you invest properly,
[01:30:23] which anybody
[01:30:24] who's reasonably intelligent
[01:30:26] when you have that kind of money,
[01:30:27] you talk to people
[01:30:28] and you find things to invest in
[01:30:30] so that you're covered.
[01:30:32] Yeah.
[01:30:33] And then it becomes,
[01:30:35] okay, what's my legacy?
[01:30:37] Exactly.
[01:30:38] And do I really want my legacy
[01:30:40] to be this?
[01:30:42] I think he would have been fine.
[01:30:44] I think he would have been fine
[01:30:45] with SCU being his last run.
[01:30:49] Yeah, that's the thing.
[01:30:50] Like, honestly,
[01:30:51] I think if they were still together
[01:30:52] and they actually pushed them
[01:30:53] like a real legitimate tag team,
[01:30:56] I really see them like,
[01:30:58] you know, making waves
[01:30:59] and people actually know who they are.
[01:31:01] But yeah.
[01:31:03] But Frankie's back in TNA.
[01:31:07] Yeah.
[01:31:09] I hope it's great.
[01:31:12] I think TNA's going to get
[01:31:13] a bit of a surge in popularity
[01:31:15] and Triple H is going to
[01:31:16] eventually be like,
[01:31:17] I've made a terrible mistake.
[01:31:19] No, I don't think so.
[01:31:20] They're never going to touch.
[01:31:23] Nobody's ever going to touch WDB,
[01:31:24] especially now.
[01:31:25] Like, well, I say that.
[01:31:27] And well, Vince isn't there.
[01:31:29] I don't know who could
[01:31:30] possibly screw it up so bad.
[01:31:33] Well, first of all,
[01:31:34] like Vince is not there,
[01:31:36] but who knows what's in
[01:31:37] like Triple H closet?
[01:31:39] I don't.
[01:31:40] I'll be honest.
[01:31:41] I don't.
[01:31:43] And this,
[01:31:43] this,
[01:31:44] this,
[01:31:45] this,
[01:31:45] this sounds so silly though,
[01:31:46] because I mean,
[01:31:47] let's,
[01:31:47] let's be honest.
[01:31:48] Like I've never met the guy.
[01:31:49] Yeah.
[01:31:50] But you know how sometimes
[01:31:51] you just have a feeling
[01:31:52] like that somebody's a creep?
[01:31:54] Yeah.
[01:31:55] You can't put your finger on it,
[01:31:56] but like,
[01:31:56] you kind of always figure
[01:31:57] that Vince McMahon
[01:31:58] was at least kind of a creep.
[01:32:00] Oh,
[01:32:00] he didn't hide it.
[01:32:02] Like,
[01:32:02] but like he was open about it.
[01:32:04] Like,
[01:32:05] you know,
[01:32:05] so yeah.
[01:32:06] Well,
[01:32:06] I mean,
[01:32:07] the thing of it is like,
[01:32:08] so,
[01:32:08] so yeah,
[01:32:08] it was a character,
[01:32:09] but when you're writing
[01:32:10] for the character
[01:32:11] and you're coming up
[01:32:12] with that stuff,
[01:32:13] yeah,
[01:32:14] that's kind of like,
[01:32:15] I don't know how much of this,
[01:32:17] I don't know how much of this
[01:32:18] is an act,
[01:32:19] you know,
[01:32:20] but I mean,
[01:32:22] that being said,
[01:32:23] Triple H strikes me
[01:32:24] as the opposite.
[01:32:25] Triple H strikes me
[01:32:26] as a guy who like,
[01:32:28] I mean,
[01:32:29] yeah,
[01:32:29] he's got a bit of a crude
[01:32:30] sense of humor,
[01:32:31] but I don't get the sense
[01:32:32] that he would ever be like,
[01:32:35] yeah,
[01:32:36] you're right.
[01:32:36] I would be shocked
[01:32:37] if half the things
[01:32:39] that Vince did
[01:32:41] that come out like
[01:32:42] Triple H was there
[01:32:43] or
[01:32:45] he might've been there
[01:32:47] and just been like,
[01:32:48] no,
[01:32:51] thanks.
[01:32:53] That's a lot of shit.
[01:32:58] Like,
[01:32:59] I'll put it this way.
[01:32:59] I don't think Triple H
[01:33:00] has ever fathomed
[01:33:02] defecating on another,
[01:33:03] another human being.
[01:33:05] Oh,
[01:33:05] no way,
[01:33:05] he did,
[01:33:06] I mean,
[01:33:06] it wasn't real,
[01:33:07] but they did
[01:33:09] dump shit
[01:33:10] on the spirit squad.
[01:33:12] Yeah,
[01:33:12] yeah.
[01:33:13] But I'm pretty sure
[01:33:13] that was a Vince idea,
[01:33:15] so,
[01:33:18] window into the soul.
[01:33:21] He's like,
[01:33:22] I'm gonna dump shit on them.
[01:33:24] I'll get all over their faces.
[01:33:25] That'll be great.
[01:33:27] And Triple H is there,
[01:33:28] he's like,
[01:33:28] yeah,
[01:33:29] that's probably gonna be
[01:33:29] pretty funny.
[01:33:38] Yeah,
[01:33:38] it's gonna be great.
[01:33:39] It's good shit.
[01:33:43] It's so gross,
[01:33:44] man.
[01:33:45] It's so gnarly.
[01:33:50] Anyway,
[01:33:51] on that note,
[01:33:53] hope you enjoyed this episode
[01:33:54] of Down the Middle.
[01:33:56] I did.
[01:33:57] Yeah,
[01:33:58] I totally did too.
[01:34:00] No,
[01:34:00] it was fun going back
[01:34:01] and watching the pay-per-view.
[01:34:03] It was.
[01:34:04] Because it was.
[01:34:05] Might do it again.
[01:34:06] Let us know
[01:34:07] if there's a pay-per-view
[01:34:07] you'd like us to take a look at.
[01:34:10] You can go super far back
[01:34:12] if you want to.
[01:34:14] Just make sure
[01:34:14] we can actually watch it.
[01:34:16] Yeah,
[01:34:16] I was gonna say that,
[01:34:17] yeah.
[01:34:18] Some of them,
[01:34:18] I can't.
[01:34:19] I can't do an event
[01:34:20] at Madison Square Garden
[01:34:22] in like 1951.
[01:34:24] I can't guarantee
[01:34:24] that I can find that.
[01:34:25] Although,
[01:34:26] it's probably somewhere.
[01:34:28] Yeah.
[01:34:29] So,
[01:34:29] fun fact though,
[01:34:30] I don't know,
[01:34:31] have you ever seen
[01:34:31] the movie Cinderella Man?
[01:34:35] It sounds familiar.
[01:34:36] It's the Russell Crowe
[01:34:38] James J.
[01:34:39] Braddock boxer movie?
[01:34:42] Maybe.
[01:34:43] Okay,
[01:34:43] well anyway,
[01:34:44] so I,
[01:34:46] I watched it
[01:34:47] with my girlfriend.
[01:34:48] It was the first time
[01:34:49] she'd ever seen it.
[01:34:50] So then I was like,
[01:34:52] at a certain point
[01:34:53] she asked me,
[01:34:54] she's like,
[01:34:54] because I completely forgot
[01:34:55] because to me
[01:34:56] it's taken for granted
[01:34:57] that it's based on
[01:34:58] a true story.
[01:34:58] She asked,
[01:34:59] and I was like,
[01:34:59] oh yeah,
[01:35:00] as a matter of fact,
[01:35:00] it is based on
[01:35:01] a true story.
[01:35:01] So then I started thinking,
[01:35:02] I'm like,
[01:35:03] I wonder if I can find
[01:35:04] that fight,
[01:35:05] the James Braddock
[01:35:05] Max Bear fight.
[01:35:07] Turns out,
[01:35:07] you can.
[01:35:08] I did see this,
[01:35:09] yeah.
[01:35:11] Turns out you can.
[01:35:13] And it's,
[01:35:14] it's a pretty gnarly fight.
[01:35:18] Like,
[01:35:18] they hit each other
[01:35:19] really hard.
[01:35:23] Like,
[01:35:23] really hard.
[01:35:26] But yeah,
[01:35:27] it's a,
[01:35:27] it's a pretty gnarly fight.
[01:35:28] I can understand
[01:35:28] why people were really into it.
[01:35:30] But anyway,
[01:35:30] I'm,
[01:35:31] I'm becoming the problem.
[01:35:33] Oh,
[01:35:33] geez,
[01:35:34] I did not see that
[01:35:34] it was 1030.
[01:35:36] We gotta go.
[01:35:37] We gotta work tomorrow.
[01:35:39] All right.
[01:35:40] Well,
[01:35:40] hopefully you enjoyed
[01:35:41] this episode of
[01:35:41] Down the Middle.
[01:35:42] Thank you very much
[01:35:42] for watching.
[01:35:43] Hope you enjoyed it.
[01:35:45] Join us again
[01:35:46] in two weeks
[01:35:46] when I think
[01:35:47] we'll just have to do
[01:35:48] a wrestling recap
[01:35:49] because I've been
[01:35:49] so out of the loop.
[01:35:50] I gotta see what's going on.
[01:35:52] That'd be cool.
[01:35:53] Yeah,
[01:35:54] see,
[01:35:54] see where it's getting better.
[01:35:55] Like a wrestling refresh.
[01:35:57] See what's going on.
[01:35:58] Well,
[01:35:58] we will see you guys
[01:35:59] in the next episode.
[01:36:00] Until then,
[01:36:00] check out our sponsors
[01:36:01] and watch our old shit
[01:36:03] because that's what we did this week.
