[00:02:43] Yeah, because like, okay, the AEW had some good matches, even though they all had like bad spots in them. But I could do AEW first.

[00:03:00] Because I kind of have fun reacting blind to this because I was traveling so I didn't get a chance to watch either of them.

[00:03:08] But I heard the Survivor Series was really good and I had heard that elements of Full Gear were surprisingly good.

[00:03:16] Yeah, there was definitely elements of Full Gear that was, it was fun. It was exciting. I liked it.

[00:03:22] But there was other parts like that.

[00:03:25] Most of the ending part.

[00:03:27] Yeah.

[00:03:27] That were just AEW.

[00:03:29] Exactly. It was more of the same.

[00:03:32] So, starting off with the first match or the pre-show. I didn't see the pre-show.

[00:03:40] There was Anna Jay versus Donna Perrazzo.

[00:03:44] And Anna Jay won.

[00:03:46] So, again, Diana Perrazzo is on a pre-show match and she was supposedly the biggest signing ever.

[00:03:52] I mean, it's been a little while now, but it's still only been months. It's not like it was a year ago.

[00:03:57] Yeah, but yeah, she got like really quick though.

[00:04:01] Like, I can only imagine, I only think of like maybe one or two matches that show how good she was.

[00:04:08] And then the rest was like, she's almost like a jobber.

[00:04:11] Well, again, pre-show matches. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, did she not compete for the world women's title or was it the TBS title? I can't remember.

[00:04:19] I believe it was the TBS.

[00:04:21] Okay, that makes sense.

[00:04:23] I'm pretty sure it was the TBS.

[00:04:26] Okay, yeah, I just, it's to the point now where I'm just tired.

[00:04:32] Like, Tony Khan can't book well.

[00:04:37] He can promote.

[00:04:38] I'll give credit where credit's due.

[00:04:39] Tony can promote.

[00:04:41] And Tony can make matches, but he can't book.

[00:04:44] And there's a very, very important but subtle difference there.

[00:04:48] Whereas, it seems like for a long time, WWE could book really well, but they couldn't make great matches.

[00:04:54] And now, they're making great matches and booking so well.

[00:04:59] Yeah, for the most part.

[00:05:01] Yeah, I mean, there's always goofy stuff.

[00:05:04] Is it just like a women's division in both of them or just lackluster?

[00:05:07] Like, I don't know why they can't book the women's, like, really good.

[00:05:12] That's curious too because Triple H has historically been able to book women's wrestling very well.

[00:05:18] Uh-huh.

[00:05:19] So, I don't know if, I don't know if The Rock's interfering.

[00:05:23] But from what I understand, Triple H, yeah.

[00:05:27] Triple H doesn't have a free hand necessarily, but the way I understand it is he's pretty much been told,

[00:05:39] I mean, it's just, he's got a track record.

[00:05:42] NXT is the track record.

[00:05:45] And then just the complete flip in ratings that happened realistically in less than two months when he was given control of creative.

[00:05:56] And it's nice to see Anna, has Anna Jay been around?

[00:05:59] I still haven't gotten caught up on wrestling.

[00:06:55] The first card I saw was, it was kind of odd.

[00:06:59] It was Buddy Matthews versus Dante Martin.

[00:07:02] On a pay-per-view?

[00:07:04] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:07:05] It was a four-way match between Dante, Commander.

[00:07:08] Oh, of course.

[00:07:10] And the Beast, Mortals.

[00:07:15] It was so odd, because, okay, Buddy Matthews, he's a star.

[00:07:19] He's really good.

[00:07:20] Yeah, but he's not booked like one.

[00:07:22] And even Dante Martin.

[00:07:23] Exactly.

[00:07:25] Dante Martin, and I'm not knocking him, because I love Dante Martin, but just because of his age, he's high mid-card babyface.

[00:07:32] Absolutely.

[00:07:33] He looks it, he acts it.

[00:07:36] It's just, like, there's this weird thing that happened in wrestling.

[00:07:39] This happened, like, in the, you know, 2010 and earlier than that, where it was almost a sin to view a wrestler as other than world champion material.

[00:07:49] And it's just, like, no, that's, it's never been like that.

[00:07:55] You know, like, Ricochet.

[00:07:56] I love Ricochet.

[00:07:57] I've never disliked Ricochet as a wrestler.

[00:08:00] But he will never, ever, as he is now, with that name and his current style.

[00:08:07] I don't say never, because I think that if he could.

[00:08:10] Things could change.

[00:08:11] He could, he could very easily change.

[00:08:13] Change his name.

[00:08:14] Change his style.

[00:08:15] He could be a world champion.

[00:08:17] But as he is right now, Ricochet will never be WWE champion.

[00:08:24] It's not going to happen, because he doesn't fit the mold.

[00:08:28] And then other people, people are going to say, well, Rey Mysterio.

[00:08:31] Rey Mysterio is the one in a million exception that proves the rule.

[00:08:34] The reason his story works is because he's not the typical champion mold.

[00:08:41] Yeah, and for when I saw Rey, I'd never seen something like that before.

[00:08:45] I wasn't watching Luchador wrestling.

[00:08:47] So it was, he was one of one for me.

[00:08:49] Because I'd never seen that before, you know.

[00:08:52] I remember when he first came.

[00:08:53] Well, and this is the thing that people don't understand.

[00:08:56] When Rey Mysterio got huge, he toned the Lucha elements down.

[00:09:03] To, like, don't get me wrong.

[00:09:05] He's still Lucha, for sure.

[00:09:06] But he toned them down to make sort of like a hybrid style that fit a little bit more into a traditional match wrestling style.

[00:09:19] Where it could work with people that were used to working the WWE style.

[00:09:24] Absolutely.

[00:09:26] You could compare him to, like, Sin Cara.

[00:09:28] Sin Cara was more Luchador.

[00:09:30] But, you see, Rey was kind of not the complete opposite, but he was different, you know.

[00:09:36] Yeah, from a Lucha standpoint, which is why he was probably having a blast in Lucha Underground when he was there.

[00:09:44] Because he was doing stuff he hadn't done since, you know, ECW.

[00:09:48] And, frankly, I was shocked that his niece could still do it.

[00:09:52] Me too.

[00:09:53] I saw a couple things he did, and I was like, oh my gosh.

[00:09:57] I was like, how are you not, how are you walking?

[00:09:59] I don't understand.

[00:10:01] I mean, some of those guys, I don't understand.

[00:10:06] Their bodies defy mechanics, and I appreciate it.

[00:10:09] But, world champions, they are not.

[00:10:11] Outside of WWE, maybe.

[00:10:13] Because, like I said, Ricochet was the first Lucha Underground champion.

[00:10:17] And, fun fact about Lucha Underground, I found this out recently.

[00:10:23] The masked wrestler that was the brother of the owner guy?

[00:13:21] But most people, most people, when they think broken, they think broken, as in cleanly broken.

[00:13:29] So, everybody's talking about how this guy went out there and wrestled with a broken foot.
