[00:00:01] The most thrilling, spikingly series ever. From the pages of R.L. Stine's best-selling books, and the screens go on forever and ever. We now return to Goosebumps.
[00:00:19] Welcome back to another episode of the Goosebumps Crew Podcast.
[00:01:02] We haven't done one in a minute. You've been getting tales to give you goosebumps, but that's because there's been a lot of spooky stuff going on. It is the haunt season for most of us now. A lot of haunted houses are opening. I'm actually looking forward to a few myself. Don't know about Hayden here, but as Shawlin, and always in that Halloween mode, I got to go out and do my thing. So I am looking forward to several. And I actually went to Mass Fest over the weekend,
[00:01:29] spoke with Zane and Graham, who we've had Zane on here before. 90s prop maker from the 90s show. And Graham is as well. But Graham, we haven't had on here, but we are going to in the future. They're going to be both on together, and we'll see if we can get Alan to set back for that one too. Ron, Stefanik, I would love to, but he's been so busy. Apparently, like, he was supposed to be on, like, six months ago, bro. So I don't think that's happening. Not anytime soon, anyway. He's been pretty busy.
[00:01:58] Because they're all working on, like, the boys spinoffs and some other stuff that they told me about at Mass Fest. Don't even know if I'm allowed to say anything about any of that, but they didn't say I couldn't. But basically, if you know the boys, they worked on that show as well. And Vaught Rising, which is coming up with Jensen Ackles playing Soldier Boy. But they're also going to do a season two, apparently, that they're already finished filming, which I kind of find surprising. Or maybe they're going to be filming it soon.
[00:02:28] I can't remember exactly what they said. Super excited about that. Yeah, Vaught Rising season two already, which that's high hopes when season one isn't even out yet. But that's how much faith they got in it, you know what I mean? So I guess it's going to kick off. And then Jensen Ackles has another show, apparently, that Zane told me that they did with him or are going to be doing with him. So he's a busy guy. That there, Jensen Ackles, that handsome son of a bitch.
[00:02:57] But that's not what we're here to talk about today. This isn't a Supernatural podcast. This isn't the boys' podcast. This is the The Goosebumps Crew. So today we're going to be talking about some merch. Lots of merch coming out lately. Surprisingly, because none of it was, like, announced really. Yeah, it wasn't talked about. It was just like, hey, check this out. It's like, I got this already. And it's like, where is this from? We don't know.
[00:03:25] Really some weird stuff, you know? And we're going to go through some of that today. It just surprises me. It really does. Because I go to this. So I go to Mask Fest to try to get us a foot in the door. But come to find out, like, Jason Hammond was there, obviously, who we had on here recently. So that was the very famous haunted mask that you see up here. Not the duck mask that I made or the pumpkin from the episode. But there was a little mask right here in between.
[00:03:54] So Jason will be there, was there. And I went to talk to him, too, and a few others. Savage Silicone, who makes a really sick silicone haunted mask, which I'm sure you've seen, too, Hayden. I'm not really sure. But it's out there. It's awesome. I want a silicone mask so bad. They're just so expensive. But they're totally worth it. I mean, they had one that kind of looked like Slappy there, and it was an inspiration to make as well.
[00:04:21] But honestly, the haunted mask was sick. I would love to get a silicone one at some point. But the thing is, when I was there and walked around, I did see people selling some Goosebumps books. Some of them were overpriced, especially based on condition. They were pretty rough. So I didn't buy any. But every vendor that did have Goosebumps there sold out. Most of the ones I talked to that did have Goosebumps sold out day one. That tells you a lot.
[00:04:51] And that's why we keep trying to tell people, hey, you need some Goosebumps actors at your conventions. Tots has got stuff, which we'll be talking a little bit about that here in a minute. You know, Cavity Keller is doing all their clothing line and whatnot. I spoke with Ben from Fright Rags. They used to do Goosebumps. He might be doing it again. He doesn't really know. He's going to talk to some people and maybe see about getting some 90s show stuff, which I put the bug in the ear on that one. So I pray that happens. That would be amazing.
[00:05:20] And if you ever watch this, hook me up, brother. We need to be on that gravy train of 90s merch. The love of God, the 90s show merch needs to happen. Artists, Austin Parda, love that dude to death. Unfortunately, he's camera shy. I'll never do this podcast. But you know his work, a lot of Vengeance Halloween. He does, in fact, some Goosebumps stuff. And his most recent one was sold out before I even freaking got there on Sunday, which really upset me because I really wanted it.
[00:05:49] But it's curly and a Taco Bell ad. It's live moss or die. It's a really sick art piece that he did. I even had a sticker of it, but that sold out too. So I just tell you, there's a want for some Goosebumps merch, guys. And there's a lot of great people out there doing it. And we're going to talk about some of that today. So what do we got first, Hayden? What's up? Let me get my screen up here.
[00:06:15] So starting off, do not delay on this one. Can you see it all right? Yeah. Okay. So do not delay on this one at all. At the time of recording or at the time that this episode goes up, this release is happening. Like it's happening right now.
[00:06:37] Enjoy the Ride Records is re-releasing or reprinting the vinyl record from Jack Lentz that they did. What was it? A couple years ago or a year ago? When did they do the last one? It's been a while. I'm going to guess it's at least been a year or more. I'll just say that. But they're doing a release this Friday, September 18th. And it's at 12 Eastern. So that's what?
[00:07:05] 11 Central and 9 Pacific. I think Pacific's two hours behind. So if you're in those time zones, like where you can easily get up and get access to it, definitely jump on this release. There's only a thousand vinyls that are going to be sold. And you can kind of see the breakdown here of which vinyl you're going to be able to get.
[00:07:31] So Enjoy the Ride is going to have this kind of the basic green one, which I think is actually better than this one. Dark Side Records will have the green and black splatter. This one kind of looks like Monster Blood a little bit more to me. Like it almost looks liquid filled. It's not liquid filled. None of these are. But this is the one I'm shooting for. Light in the Attic Records has this red, white, and black version.
[00:07:59] International Exclusive has an all red. And then I believe that this is just like a general release that all of them will have. I could be wrong just because they don't say who has this specific one. Based on past releases, all the ones that are exclusive, you have to go to that website to get them.
[00:08:22] And that one that's $350, the one you're talking about right now, that one I believe is only going to be on Enjoy the Ride Records website. Okay. There's only going to be $350 of those on their website. So if you want one of these other colors, with the exception of I think the International Exclusive, because I'm assuming there's an international website and that's exclusive to them. Yeah. I'll be wrong about that because that's the first time I've ever seen it say International Exclusive.
[00:08:52] But the other ones are probably just going to be on those companies' websites. So you'd have to go there to buy those if you wanted that specific one. Yep. But they're going to be doing the Glow in the Dark cover. So you'll have this as your standard base cover, and then this is what it will look like, Glow in the Dark.
[00:09:14] And then on top of that, you're going to be getting the double-sided insert, which is like a comic book panel that features different monsters from the show. I can see the Mun Monster. You got Slappy Masked Mutant, it looks like. The Gruul. Scarecrow down here. Haunted Mask. Jack-o'-lanterns.
[00:09:36] So you're going to have a lot of different iconic monsters from the 90s show featured on this artwork. So like I said, if you were watching this episode right now, as soon as it released, which we'll be releasing at around 11 Central. So it means that this is happening right now. So jump off the podcast if you want this, and then come right back because we have more to talk about. So then...
[00:10:05] Yeah, I will say the whole thing with this, don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Jack-o'-lanterns' music is getting a re-release because it deserves it. Not really sure why Scholastic or whoever took off the music from Instagram. That pissed me off. I keep messaging Scholastic and commenting all their stuff like, hey, bring it back. Like, it makes no sense. Like, his music needs to be out there. It's too damn good, and it's too popular.
[00:10:33] Scholastic can use it on their posts, but they can't share it with the rest of us, I guess, anymore. But what bothers me most, and no offense to Gareth Gibson, I don't know how you drew or came up with any of these artwork on here.
[00:10:49] But let me just say, I don't like the fact that, and I've said this before, so it's not anything new, but for any new listeners, I don't care for the fact that they used the Tots Slappy doll and the Tots Haunted Mask on this.
[00:11:05] Why not just use the actual 90s show, why are we using, you know, basically fan sculpts of these two iconic characters from that show? It makes no sense. Like, zero. Maybe it's because they were, like, higher res for him to use. But, I mean, like, they're literally a one-for-one off of that.
[00:11:33] I mean, it is literally like if I took that picture and then threw it in, you know, AI or Canva or some shit and just had it filter over or change it a little bit. But, Gareth, if you're listening, that may piss you off. But, bro, I don't know why you used those two. That's all I got to say about that. Just saying. So, I will say, get on quick because they do sell out really fast. Yeah, they're going to be gone very fast.
[00:12:04] Very, very fast. You do not want to pay those second Mark and Derry prices because it was terrible. It was god-awful. I will say, as of this recording right now, which they may be sold out by Friday, but they did have, in fact, the cassette tape and the movie vinyl as well already for sale. Like, you can go get it right now. Yeah. But it's just this one specifically that's Friday at noon.
[00:12:30] So, then moving on, this is something that has been out for a while. We just wanted to cover it as it's September. Spooky season is here. If you want to get any Goosebumps merch, any T-shirts, things like that, Cavity Colors is a great place to go get them. I know that they had this release just kind of recently. So, they're doing bookmarks. These are kind of higher quality bookmarks.
[00:12:56] And it kind of reminds me of the Antioch Publishing bookmarks that they had back in the 90s. That was kind of like the vibe I got from these. So, these are available, $24 for, you know, four double-sided bookmarks, which are pretty high quality.
[00:13:15] But then you've got a bunch of different T-shirts, some custom artwork that they've done, and then obviously the iconic artwork from Tim Jacobus on top of, you know, some different pins and ammo pins, different stuff like that that you can grab. So, all of this is available, not limited, just always year-round, able to get this.
[00:13:35] But since it's spooky season, if you want to rep Goosebumps, definitely go to Cavity Colors and check out what they've got because they've got a pretty good selection of different designs and stuff like that. And obviously... I will say, they do sell out of those pretty... Size-wise, they can sell out pretty quick. Yeah. You can request restock and sign up your email and, like, see this one already. Like, the Hana mask is going to be popular. So, XL2X, already gone. And it looks like...
[00:14:05] Extra small. Oh, holy crap. Well, I guess kids. There's no kid size, so maybe that's... That are you really skinny effers out there, you know what I mean? Like... But yeah, I mean, it's great quality shirts. Love them all. I'm really pissed I missed out on the Hana mask 2 one because I love that one. I just did not have the extra dinero at the time. So, I'm hoping they bring that back, which rumor has it they will.
[00:14:32] But Devin Draws does all these really awesome designs. Not all of them, of course, but the ones like that one, he does. Yeah, these kind of artworks. Yeah. So, he does a great job with those. So, shout out to him. We are not affiliated with Cavity Colors. We just love their stuff. I have lots of Cavity Colors shirts because of Goosebumps now being under their umbrella. So, and I really want this Terror Tower one too. This one's kind of sick. I really want the Terror Tower one too.
[00:15:02] That one's on my list. Again though, money man. It's too much money. I have like a billion shirts too. Like, I really need to stop buying shirts. But I cannot stop. It's an addiction. Cavity Colors is great though. We're hoping to get an affiliate link with them at some point to give you guys a little bit of a discount. But in the meantime, I do think there are some out there. So, and usually if you sign up for like email or something, you get like 10% off your order or something.
[00:15:32] And they'll run sales sometimes. So, just keep an eye out. Yep. But I definitely recommend them in Fright Rags if you want some spooky shirt designs or Seventh Inc. Seventh Inc. doesn't have Goosebumps, but they're still really cool. I know Roosevelt's. Pretty sure like RVS. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me search them up. They had a really killer drop. And, you know, I see some of you guys on Instagram and stuff sharing your recent bomber jackets and stuff, which I'm super jealous of.
[00:16:01] I really wanted to get that bomber jacket. It's so sick. But they do have some cool stuff with Goosebumps as well, like that one right there. This one. Yeah. It's definitely not my style, which is why I haven't gotten anything, but that bomber jacket was really cool. That's literally a 90s pattern, which is awesome. Like pattern they used back in the day for like your bed sheets and your, you know, pillowcases and stuff.
[00:16:29] So, but yeah, I mean, I think the only thing I was really interested in because I knew a lot of button up shirts was the curly hat and bomber jacket. Yeah, the curly hat's sick. I like that one. Yeah, the colors really pop. I love the pink that they added on there. You know, you don't see that a lot with Goosebumps, despite the fact that Curly's Mohawk's pink, you know. You got your dad hat here, which I think is what that's called. And yeah, dad hat. You're the slappy cap.
[00:17:01] Slappy cappy. But yeah, Roosevelt's or Roosevelt's, however you say it. They've got some. I'm pretty sure it's Roosevelt's. Yeah, I think it's Roosevelt's. They've got some Goosebumps stuff. Looks like they've got a lot of sizes still in stock. So if this is your style, definitely jump on it while you can. They've still got the bomber jacket on there, don't they? I mean, I think it's sold out. Let me see. There's a bomber jacket.
[00:17:31] Like, I know our buddy Tyler has one. And like I said, I've seen a few other people with theirs that they got. It does not look like it's on there. I don't even have it on there no more. Dang, man. They might have pulled that down. Yeah. Well, when it sells out, it sells out. Yeah. I just kind of figured I'd keep it on there as a product page. But I guess not. Well, I knew that would sell out. That thing is so popular because it's sick. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's a reverse bomber jacket. It is.
[00:18:01] It is. Yeah. And then we have Trick or Treat Studios. Obviously, we know about Trick or Treat Studios. We talk about them all the time on the podcast. Just your go-to place for masks, figurines, that kind of stuff. We've talked about them to no end. Just wanted to shout them out really quick.
[00:18:25] Again, not affiliated with them, but they're kind of leading the charge on the collectible market when it comes to Goosebumps. Working on that, too, for you guys so we can get you a link for a discount. I'm in talks with Sam First over there, so hopefully I hear back from him soon. But I know it's a busy season for them, so it may not be until after Halloween, but we'll see. Yep. But yeah, definitely worth checking out their stuff. They got some good stuff.
[00:18:54] I just wish they would have announced. Like, they announced Wave 2 of the figures, but they didn't announce any more masks. That bothers me a little bit because there's so many opportunities. Like, how are you not going to do, like, the Mass Mutant mask or a Scarecrow mask or whatever? I want a horror mask. Yeah. There's so many. Like, especially in the next wave, they have the Executioner, the Horror. There's two masks right there you could do. I mean, I don't know.
[00:19:23] Like, I just don't know why there's no more masks from Trick or Treat Studios when that's what they're most famous for. But I'm hoping they announce something at least for next year. But this year is, I doubt there's any more announcements this year. Usually they do it at the beginning of the year and about midway through. So since we're past that point, we probably won't hear anything until next year. Yep. And then the next thing is we did do a short on this.
[00:19:52] I shot a short going over the candle set. I did just get an email today that said that they're down to under 100 of these collector's editions. So if you want these candles, jump on it. They have different smells based on the books. So Night of the Living Dummy, which is black tea leaves, worn mahogany, and cracked leather.
[00:20:18] Welcome to Dead House, which is going to be dark blackberry, mulled apple, and cinnamon stick. One Day at Horrorland, which is my favorite. Obviously not just because it's Horrorland, but because it smells really effing good. Yeah, dude. It's so good, man. Carnival Fried Dough, Sweet Strawberries, and Wild Blueberries. And then lastly, we have the Haunted Mask, which is going to smell like creamy sandalwood, haunted orchid, and tonka bean.
[00:20:47] All of them smell incredible. I will not be burning mine because I don't want to use them. I may get another set to actually burn this Halloween. But yeah, definitely, definitely worth picking up. Yeah, especially for $64. What's the what? Ounces on them. Let me see. They don't look like they're that big. Oh, no. They're like Bath and Body Works size. They're the three wick.
[00:21:18] It doesn't say. It don't look like it says the ounces. That's weird. But I've had these type of candles before, and they burn for quite a while from Goose Creek. If you take care of them, light them right, extinguish them right, that kind of stuff, they'll last for a little bit. Or if these sell out, or even if they don't sell out, guess what?
[00:21:48] We still have candles, too. You can actually get some from us. Goosebumps Creek candles. They're pretty sick. Yep, they are. And they smell good, too. They smell really good. They smell so good. Jack-o'-lantern one is my favorite. So yeah, these released a little bit ago. But I haven't thought about it much lately. Because usually I just get my candles from, like you said, Bath and Body Works for your candle. Yeah. I wish there was, like, an in-store purchase option for these. Because is shipping free?
[00:22:17] Do you remember? I do not remember. But I know that they came really quick. Like, I ordered it with, like, standard shipping. And I'm pretty sure that it was here, like, two days later. It was, like, really fast on delivery. So. Which I wish all my stuff was that fast. Because I'm still waiting on stuff from, like, two weeks ago that I ordered. And it does come. It says a special bonus Scholastic surprise. That's a book.
[00:22:46] It's a reprint. One of the newer style reprints of Night of the Living Dummy. I don't know if they just throw in a random book. Or if it's based on, like, one of the candles that are in this pack or not. I think they're all Night of the Living Dummy. That's what I thought, too. I've seen other people's unboxings of this, too. Through Instagram. And it's all been the same book. Gotcha.
[00:23:12] I think the only thing that's special, if you want to call it that, about that book. Because there's, like, something on the inside of the book. Like, and something on the cover. That says it's so special. But in this inside, I think there was something. I can't remember what was on the inside of that book now. I'd have to take a book. But it's in the back, I think. It's nothing crazy. It's not like it's a limited edition book.
[00:23:39] Just, you know, it's just a quick couple things that say, oh, it's exclusive to this. So if you're a collector, collector, then you'll probably want to pick it up. Mm-hmm. And then going to the next thing that we have is HEB, which is a gas station, convenience store, grocery store kind of thing in Texas. If you're from Texas, you're going to know all about it. It's like Quick Trip up here in Kansas City.
[00:24:09] But they're going to have these book surprise plush toys. And they're themed after the Give Yourself Goosebumps books. Like, at least the packaging is. And the thing is, I don't know if it's just Slappy and the Haunted Mask or if there's other ones. It is. So what we found out the other day was that the packaging got changed.
[00:24:39] Oh. What you see here, which I'm assuming was going to be like the lawn gnome. I really don't know what. Snowman maybe? Maybe. That looks like Curly. I figured that was Curly and then the lawn gnome. So I don't know what happened.
[00:25:03] Because, like, I bought a set on eBay because it looks like it's in stock now on this website, which I'm really kicking myself because I did not pay $8 each. Let me tell you that much. That secondhand market. So I'm really kind of burned on that. And this person's already shipped. Live and learn, folks. Live and learn. But the box that they had on that listing only had those two. That was it.
[00:25:32] So they must have, like, got rid of the other ones prior to actually making them all. Because even here, you see, they only show you the two. Yeah. They only show Slappy and the Haunted Mask. They don't show you the rest. Which, that's a different Slappy. Did you catch that? That's a different Slappy than the one that's in the box. Oh, yeah. Sure is. I didn't even pay attention. Wow.
[00:26:01] Hold on. That's a different Haunted Mask. I'm going to listen just to see. Yeah. Hmm. That's interesting. So, which makes sense. Now that we're talking about this, so those first ones were probably prototypes with the box being a prototype with the other potential ones. And now they have the actual ones you get, which are those right there. That one and the other one. That's how they look now. Mm-hmm.
[00:26:29] And the back of the box, like I said, only had the two. Mm-hmm. So, and again, I, God, I wish I would have known this was on this website. I might be picking up a couple of these. When I looked before on here, they were out of stock. Like, you couldn't order online. Mm-hmm. You had to find them in store. And I'm like, bro, I'm so far away from Texas, there's no way.
[00:26:59] I know people who live in Texas, so I guess I could have seen if they could have picked some up for me. But I never even heard of Heb. So that's how I knew it was just specifically. I knew about it. I just obviously don't have any up here in Kansas City. So. Well, give me one sec. I will see how this. Maybe that's too dark. Well, now it's auto-adjusted. Now it's going to be too bright. Yeah, I can see it. Can you see? Yep.
[00:27:28] That's the new box. And it only shows you the two. That's only got the two. Interesting. So. Like I said, I think those were prototype photos. Mm-hmm. And now that it's actually, like, released, released, and apparently on their website. Well, if you can get your hands. If you can get your hands on the prototype ones, those will probably go for a pretty penny someday. Because if you can only get these now. Then. Yeah.
[00:27:58] I'm sure there's some collector out there. I don't know that I would be the collector that wants the derpy Haunted Mask. But. Or the derpy Slappy. I was going to say, it's more derpy Slappy than it is Haunted Mask. Haunted Mask isn't bad. But it's just the black bead eyes. It looks. Yeah. It looks more like a Funko plushie. Yeah. That's much better, though. That design. Yeah. I do like the.
[00:28:26] I'm glad they did a redesign. Mm-hmm. But since they're blind boxes, I mean, I guess you're not guaranteed if you order two to get both. Yeah. That's kind of the thing. So if you order off there, you could get two Slappies or two Haunted Masks. So it's kind of. I guess I'm not totally kicking myself. I'm just trying to justify how much money I freaking spent on those two. You're right here. And then next up.
[00:28:54] This actually we figured out about literally yesterday. Um, Hallmark released a brand new Goosebumps ornament. Um, that is available at Walmart's right now. So if you can, if you go to Walmart's and go to, uh, kind of their Christmas section, I went to mine yesterday and I didn't find them in the Christmas section.
[00:29:16] Um, but I'm sure that if you went to the Hallmark section, I did go to the Hallmark section, but I went over towards like their outdoor section and they didn't have like, they had like one or two Christmas trees. Set up, but that was it. So they, we don't have. Yeah. We're still setting up our stuff. So that's probably why I couldn't find it. But, um, you've got the, the four books. And it's only like 11 bucks, 10, 11 bucks at Walmart.
[00:29:46] Definitely worth it. It says 1149 here, but it's actually a little cheaper at Walmart because I went to mine tonight, picked one up before our podcast. Didn't expect to, I just saw there was already freaking Christmas and lawn and garden section. And I was like, are you effing kidding me right now? Then it made me think of this ornament that, uh, Hayden showed us, uh, the other day or today, whenever that was. And I was like, Oh, I was like, I wonder if they got their ornaments out and sure enough, they did.
[00:30:10] And I actually went to go see if they had the transformers 40th anniversary, uh, ornament. I don't know if there is going to be one, but I figured there would be, uh, there wasn't any transformers, but I did see this. So I immediately picked this up. That's a pretty cool ornament. Uh, and the fact that it's like half the price of the Haunted Mask one baffles me.
[00:30:32] Like the Haunted Mask one's like a little wider, but I want to say like overall they're, it's just as good. Like, and it's multiple books. Like it's one day at Horrorland, the Haunted Mask and say cheese and die. Say cheese and die. You can't really see that one. Cause when you have it in the box like that, it kind of like holds that bottom book.
[00:30:59] And then it thinks in a way so, but I mean, 10 bucks, I mean, you can't, that's a good deal. My opinion. And it's got, you know, the monster arm, you know, a monster hand coming out of the book, which is really cool. And that nice little throwback. Yeah. It's like a, how to kill a monster kind of. Yep. It's the hand from how to kill a monster. So throwback to another book. So it's pretty cool. I like that. They did that. Yeah.
[00:31:27] And I'm not going to lie as much as I love the Haunted Mask one. I think this one's got more character to it. I agree. I like this one a lot more. Yeah. I don't know about a lot more cause I'm really biased, but I do really enjoy this one quite a bit. It's got whore land in there. That's, that's my representation. So.
[00:31:48] It's just the fact that like, it's multiple books represented in an ornament, even though they're the reprint covers, like they're not the original ones. Why are they still doing reprint covers? That pisses me off too. The original ones are so much better. Take what we can get though. Right. Take what we can get. Still the Jacobus art. So I guess I won't complain too much. Just a little bit. But I really like it. I mean, this was a surprise though.
[00:32:18] Like I thought the Haunted Mask was all we were going to get this year. Yeah. That's what I, yeah. I thought the same thing. Again, this was one that came out of nowhere. Yeah. It seems like all of these are just completely blind, like hitting from left field. Like, why are they not announcing some of this stuff? It's just poof. Here it is. All right. Thanks. I guess, you know, if we had some kind of heads up, it'd be great. But guess not.
[00:32:49] Next up, we've got a new book, actually. So on October 6th, 2026th, we're getting the next graphic novel, which is going to be Stay Out of the Basement. This is the artwork for it by Maddie Gonzalez. So definitely excited for this one. Her artwork is sick on the other ones. Maddie, we love you. So we keep trying to get her back, but she is so swamped with work. Yeah.
[00:33:19] Getting these graphic novels done. So hopefully she can find time in the future, because I would love to talk to her about this one. Yeah. Monster Blood. You know, it's Monster Blood. It's fine. But Stay Out of the Basement. Yeah. I want to talk about that one. And Haunted Mask. She did Haunted Mask, too. We did. Yeah. But we did talk with her about Haunted Mask. That's true. So that one was fire. That's still my favorite one, obviously.
[00:33:45] But Stay Out of the Basement is like one of my top five favorite stories and episodes from the 90s show, actually. So really looking forward to this one. So yeah, October 6th, 2026, you can go and get it. The Barnes & Noble Strat still works. So if you don't know, you can go maybe a day or two early and they may or may not let you have a copy.
[00:34:13] So usually everybody finds it early. Yeah. Sometimes they'll put it out early. And it just, if you can manage to get into a Barnes & Noble that has one on the shelf before October 6th, you can do it. I've been able to do that for the last like three books that have released. So if you're able to go snag it a couple days early, you may be able to get it October 3rd, October 4th, something like that. If not, then October 6th, then you'll still be able to read it before Halloween.
[00:34:42] So definitely worth it. The graphic novels are sick. Maddie does a great job on every single one that she's done so far and definitely looking forward to this one. May not be her style art. I mean, I've heard that before, but everybody's different. I like it. I like the vibrant colors. I really enjoy it. I'm all in. Yeah, the color that gets used. Yeah, she's been killing it in my opinion. And then we've got a bunch of these to talk about. Okay.
[00:35:13] Where they're at, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know where people are getting these. If you have an answer, please let me know in the comments. I think I want to just begin with them all. Yeah. I mean, everybody's like buying them from eBay, but they're more plushy figures. They're just literally came out of nowhere. We don't know where they came from. They just showed up on eBay and Mercari and whatnot, and they're available to purchase.
[00:35:41] So, these all came out recently. These are not like old things that are just now seeing the light of day. These are new releases. I just don't know where they're coming from. So, you've got Curse of the Mummy's Tomb. We've got Slappy. We've got Curly. We've got the Scarecrow. We've got the Pirate. We've got Count Nightwing, the Vampire.
[00:36:09] And it says Horrors of the Black Ring, but that's 100% the Haunted Mask. So, that's... I can't be. I don't know. Like, the outfit don't match. Yeah, the outfit's wrong, but it's definitely the Haunted Mask. The mask is even kind of wrong, because, I mean, look at the... I don't know what you call those, the bumps on its forehead. Yeah. Well, you said it looked like Scream in the Haunted Mask.
[00:36:36] I thought it might have been based on that mask a little bit, but it's hard to tell. Like, because it's a plush, and they kind of, like, chibied them up. Yeah, it's super animated. But they're calling it, you know, the Goblin from the Black Ring. So, I mean, like... Could it be? I guess that's what you do. I'm definitely getting the... It doesn't...
[00:37:06] Yeah, it's just the G on both sides. It didn't say... So, how do they, like, know that that's what it is? Like... Maybe that tag? There's something on there? I don't know. I was selling it. Had to have, like, some type of, you know, list, I guess. Yeah. Of what's included or something, and that's what they get listed as. But, yeah, I don't want to just brush past these, because they are kind of cool and cute. A little bit.
[00:37:34] So, again, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb. You got some really cool design. I love the, you know, the piece of fabric that's coming off of him there. That's kind of cool. Ram. Yeah, the wrap, the mummy wrap. They all have a Goosebumps embroidered G on the left foot as well. Yeah. Slappy. It looks... Honestly, I like the slappy one. I don't know how you feel about it. I think it looks pretty good. I like it.
[00:38:04] I mean, honestly, I like them all. Scarecrow's just my favorite one of this group. Curly is, like, ridiculously cute, which you shouldn't say about Curly, but, I mean, at least in this plush form he is. Let's talk about him. Because of what they did with the eyes. Yeah, he's got super big eyes. His eyes are actually supposed to be red. Why does he got these, like, big puppy eyes going on? I don't know. He's got that G on the foot.
[00:38:32] They at least did a good job, like, you know, making sure he was accurate in plushy form. Yeah. With the ascot, the G splat on it, and, well, the G. The G, yeah. Pink mohawk. Scarecrow's definitely the best one. Scarecrow stuff. Scarecrow looks good. I just think it, yeah, I think it looks great. You just don't get a lot of the Scarecrow, which is kind of surprising because it's a very popular book.
[00:39:04] But you don't get a lot of Scarecrow stuff. That, and it's, you know, spooky season, so, you know, you got a Scarecrow, you got a vampire, got a skeleton, got a mummy. A pirate. Which is weird because, I mean, pretty sure it had a name. I'm, like, drawing a blank. Yeah, I don't remember what it was. It's from Creep in the Deep, right? Yeah. Like the Horrorland one.
[00:39:34] But, unless I'm thinking of a different pirate than what this one's supposed to be. I think that's what this one is supposed to represent. Yeah. Or at least based on the look. Again, it's hard to tell a plushy form sometimes. Especially when they don't put the name of the character. Like the vampire one, we just kind of assume that's Count Nightwing. Right. I mean, I guess. I mean, I could be another, but, I mean, how many other vampires? I don't know what a vampire, yeah.
[00:40:02] Yeah, that's the main one. I didn't do a lot of vampires. At least not that I remember, anyway. Because, again, I'm more of a 62, Series 2000. So, if you did anything beyond that with vampires, I don't quite remember. They did have some vampires in Horrorland. But, other than that, it was basically just Count Nightwing. And then the last one we kind of already covered, but Haunted Mask slash Goblin from Horrors of the Black Ring.
[00:40:32] Most likely trying to be the Haunted Mask, but didn't get the outfit right. So, that would be my assumption. I'm trying to remember. What was Steve's outfit on the Haunted Mask 2 cover? Look it up. I know this isn't the Old Man Mask, but I'm trying to remember what his clothes look like. Yeah, it's definitely trying to be Steve. Yeah, it looks closer to that than it does a Carly Beth.
[00:40:59] So, maybe they were trying to go for the Old Man Mask, but with the Haunted Mask, I don't know. Yeah. Who knows? But, yeah, you've got those on eBay right now. If you want to go grab them. Like, this one has three available. Three available. They're probably all going to have three. This one may only be the one. I mean, you could go to... Four available.
[00:41:27] Safari, Poshmark, I think, and some other websites. They're around. I mean... Yeah. They're not hard to find. It's just we don't know where they came from. So, if anybody has any insight, then... Yeah, the only listing I found that has something with maybe the company that made them... Let me see here. Toy Factory?
[00:41:59] That may be the company, Toy Factory, June 2026. Floth Ease. That's E-E-Z. I still can't get over the Scarecrow one. Where's that?
[00:42:29] Somewhere over here. Scarecrow one's just still the best. I would love... I'm just... I'm trying to figure out, like, who makes these? Where did they come from? Oh, oh, oh. I can't find nothing. There might be something on there. If you can zoom in and figure out what that says. I'm blind, so I can't read it. But I'd see June 2026.
[00:42:58] So, they're definitely new. But... June then? It's interesting. Like... Because I literally just saw these, like, this week. Yeah. Well, that was the manufacturer date. Like, they made them in June. And then probably shipped them out. So... But yeah, definitely go snag them up if you want them. They're available right now. I don't know if they'll become available again. Or if we'll find out where they came from.
[00:43:26] These could just be simple, like... In an arcade game. You know, somewhere random that... That was New York's guess. Nobody has any idea. Yeah. So, it's like... He thought it might be a crane game. Yeah. Because he said that's what they kind of look like. Which I agree. Mm-hmm. That's kind of what they look like. But either way... I mean... They're so cool. I mean, we don't get a lot of plushy goofball stuff. Mm-hmm. So, the fact that we've had two different companies doing them now...
[00:43:54] Hopefully, we can see some, like, even better versions soon. Maybe one that's actually a Haunted Mask. Very true. Because... I don't know what the horrors of the Black Ring creature look like. But that looks... That looks like a combination of Steve and... Probably the Haunted Mask one. Yep. Kind of. I mean, the ears make it look more like that awful Disney Plus show one. But...
[00:44:21] And then, last but not least, this is the one that I'm personally most excited for. Because I've got the whole collection of Series 1. But we've got Series 2 of the Pop figures that are coming out. They don't have an exact release date. Amazon technically has them listed for October 26th. That is when they release. That is a tentative date. We don't know if that's accurate or not. But we're going to have the Say Cheese and Die Pop figure.
[00:44:51] And Curse of the Mummy's Tomb Pop figure. These will be the same exact style packaging that the other ones were in. So you'll get the book cover that comes in as an insert along with the figure itself. So there's the Curse of the Mummy's Tomb. And then, obviously, Say Cheese and Die. And these are the reprint covers from 2007 or 8. Whatever that was. So it'll match the rest of the Pop figures.
[00:45:21] I personally don't have a problem with the reprint covers. That's kind of what I grew up on. I grew up on with both. Because it was like whatever was available at the time. But I kind of like the reprint covers. So I don't mind having them in the Pop figures. But it's really cool that we're getting another wave of these. Even if it is just the two. I still want to see a Horrorland Horror one. That's too iconic not to do in a Pop figure.
[00:45:48] But I think that getting at least a couple more is going to be sweet to add to the collection. And if you do... I was probably only two. Yeah, I thought it was going to be a couple more. At least be four. Four or five. Like usually I think waves will have four or five. But this one only has two. Which I find really strange. If you order from Pop, they do have the slime Pop protectors.
[00:46:16] Which I have mine in these specific ones. I'm thinking about switching to these. Because they have a blood version of this as well for their horror ones. Which looks like this. I've seen those. But I didn't know they did a green slime one. Oh, they don't have the... They don't have the bloody one anymore. Not surprised. I mean, a lot of horror pops.
[00:46:46] Oh, there it is. There it is. A lot of fuckers. Yeah, so I have this one for my Scream Ghostface Pop figure. Yeah. And then they have the same exact design as the slime one. Just with the blood as well. But yeah, definitely if you want to get some cool protectors, grab the slime protector. Because they look really good. I have the hard plastic ones. Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's what these ones are.
[00:47:17] Well, I mean, these are the flexible ones. Like, I'm talking about the hard shell. No, this is a hard shell. Thick plastic. Yeah, this is the thick plastic hard shell. With the lid and everything? Yeah. Not like just a flap? Yeah, with the lid. But that doesn't look like that. That looks like a flap. No, no. No, it's got the lid on it. It's got... Because I can show you. I think you do spend on those hard plastic ones. Mm-hmm.
[00:47:45] I just thought since this was a slime-covered one, you're paying extra for the slime on it. No, it's definitely the hard plastic ones. Because I've seen them in Barnes & Noble. That's where I got mine. And they're definitely the hard plastic, the stackable kinds. So definitely something interesting to go along with your goosebumps. Pop figures. So that's pretty much so it in terms of things that we know that are coming out right now.
[00:48:13] If there's more, obviously, throughout the next month or two coming up on Halloween, October 31st. Cannot get here any sooner. Super excited to celebrate. But if there's anything else... I don't want it to come too fast. I agree with that. I just want it to be colder weather. It's still hot as hell. Oh, I know, dude. For mid-September, I was freaking roasting today. That shit needs to go away. That's the thing.
[00:48:42] At least here in Indiana, we've had a snowy Halloween and a freaking green Christmas. So make it make sense in the world, you know? But I mean, I honestly thought we'd get like a Haunted Mass 2 pop and like you said, the horror. A few others. And maybe we will still. I'm not really sure who chooses the pops there. I don't really want the mummy one. Like, why did we get the mummy so freaking much? I just don't get it. Yeah.
[00:49:08] I will say, I think the reason that we... Just so like everybody is aware of why we only got two, I think they're putting all of their emphasis in the book-specific pop protectors for the Akatar ones. Which is, if you don't know, it's A Court of Thorns and Roses. My wife reads the books. She loves them. And those have kind of taken over like TikTok and everything for her.
[00:49:38] So she's been seeing them a lot. They're releasing a massive wave, kind of how they did for Series 1 for Goosebumps for those. And I'm assuming that they only do like a set number of like the series. Like they have the book series, the movies, that kind of stuff. So I'm assuming that they're probably letting that take precedence for this time around.
[00:50:01] Dude, I don't think like with all the different IPs that they have and other lines getting multiple like in their line. I don't know why sometimes they change it, but like a lot of the other popular IPs, they'll still get like full waves. Like Pokemon or whatever. That doesn't hinder them from, you know, shortening to two. So I don't know.
[00:50:29] Like honestly, I'm surprised Pops are even still around. Straight up. Like I can't believe that whole brand isn't dead. But they're just not as popular as they used to be. And I only have the Goosebumps ones anymore and the pumpkin wrapper from Power Rangers because it's a pumpkin monster. And I just thought that episode was hilarious. It's literally a wrapping pumpkin.
[00:50:58] Like as he's wrapped to the Rangers. I've got a couple of the Marvel ones, but yeah, I basically only collect the Goosebumps ones. And then I have the one Ghostface Funko Pop. So. Yeah, I haven't really. Oh, no, I lied. I do have some Transformers ones, but I haven't bought in Transformers ones in so long. I forgot. Honestly, they're on a shelf. So. But I mean, regardless, I mean, I just kind of wish they would have done some more. There's a few I want. I agree. I agree.
[00:51:27] Haunted Mass 2, Horrorland Horror, Ghost Beach would have been cool. Ghost Beach would have been sick. That one deserves like a large one, like the Werewolf. The Werewolf. Yeah. That one would have been sick. I would have loved that one. Yeah. Curly as a Funko would be awesome. But I'm still waiting for an R.L. Steinpop because they've done Authors. Why haven't they done him? And a Tim Jacobus one. Yep.
[00:51:56] So maybe I got to do Customs. I don't know. But I feel like I need to get those two made somehow and have them both get signed. So we'll see what I can do before next year when I see both together at the same time again. I should see Tim before next year, but we'll see. But yeah, I'm looking forward to these. I'm hoping they do some more cool stuff. I know at least coming up, and I'll share this with you guys soon.
[00:52:25] It's not merch, but they still have merch you can buy on their website. But the Phantom of the Auditorium musical is still making its rounds, and it's actually coming close to me. And I was able to set something up with the company so I can actually go there, interview, and I can't film the production from what I understood. But I can at least get you guys some maybe behind-the-scenes stuff and a few other things while I'm there.
[00:52:54] So I'm going to check it out, and I'm going to get you all those dates for those very soon. They actually just emailed me today with their promotional material and everything, so I'm going to have Hayden set some cool stuff up for us. I'm going to set some cool stuff up for it and get all the information to you guys, so that should be fun. But you can still go on Phantom of the Auditorium's website and still get their merch and art that was done by Tim Jacobus. So just a little reminder and a little refresher.
[00:53:23] If you're still wondering or wanting to see that Goosebumps musical, do check the website for local listings near you. And hopefully there is one near you, and you can go check it out. I'm actually going on Halloween Day in the morning, so that's pretty sick. That's pretty cool. That's their opening weekend, so I will be there at like 9 in the morning or 10 in the morning or something. But to get to see the Goosebumps musical on Halloween, it's worth it.
[00:53:54] So that'd be a lot of fun. But we do have some more stuff coming up. I will be with 90s Kids Throwbacks, Tyler, at Sheboygan Hondo Asylum in Wisconsin, very first weekend, October 2nd and 3rd, with Catherine Long. So it's going to be a really fun time there. And then the weekend after, I'll be at Volcon in Indianapolis. Hopefully I'll see some people there. After that, I don't have any more appearances myself this year.
[00:54:23] Not planned anyway, outside of the musical. But that's not really an appearance. I'm going there to check it out and interview and yada yada. But as far as shows, I think those two are it. But I will say, keep an eye out, because we've already got two for next year. One's NEPA Horror. That's in Pennsylvania. And let me tell you, that one is already a freaking sick lineup.
[00:54:49] That one is like a 90s horror kids wet dream. Like that, I mean, you've got five people so far from Goosebumps. So you've got both Catherine's, Amos, Sean Roberts, and John White. With one more guest to be announced from Goosebumps. I'm thinking Neil Crone. They wouldn't tell me who yet, but I'm thinking it's Neil Crone. And then Are You Afraid of the Dark? They have the Ghastly Grinner actor.
[00:55:18] They have two of the kids from the main cast, from the Midnight Society, from the original season. Because I know they changed later in the season. But that one was, I think, probably the most iconic characters in the first couple, two or three seasons. Plus Pete and Pete actor, and another 90s actor I'm totally spacing on right now. But I know he was in T2. He was John Connor's friend who lied to the cop and saved the world, basically.
[00:55:48] Because if he would have told the cop where he was, John Connor would be dead. So tells you, lie to the police, kids. Saves the world if you do. Don't do that. Horrible advice. Do or don't. Do or don't. I don't know. You know, lie to the cops. I don't know. But lots of cool stuff coming up, though. So NEPA is in May. May 22nd. So if you're going to be in the Pennsylvania area, check it out. The other one I can't say yet.
[00:56:17] Who will be there? Or the name of the event. Because it's not been announced yet. Even though I have details because we're booked for there. But let me tell you, that one's going to be a Goosebumps nerds wet dream. And if you thought Cursed City was awesome last year, this one, I don't know. This one might top it. We'll see. Love you, Jesus. And I love Cursed City. But the guest list so far that I have been told with this one is freaking crazy. And this one will be Houston, Texas.
[00:56:47] That's all I can tell you for now. So Texas, we're coming back. Just FYI. So Autumn and everybody there who we got to meet last year in San Antonio, if you can make it to Houston, freaking do it. Houston in April, guys. Should be announced, I would think, in the next month or so. I mean, I can't imagine them waiting too long. But that one's going to be sick. It will be. Epic Horror is going to be sick. And that one's going to be sick. Those are the two I'm looking forward to most next year.
[00:57:18] And then just more down the road, guys. So lots of good stuff coming. Yep. But I think that's going to be it for us. We don't really have any more merch to show you guys yet. That's been announced. But hopefully we'll have some more soon. Because you never know. We didn't even know that some of this stuff, like half of this stuff was even coming. It was just like, oh, hey, check this out. So, you know, could be something tomorrow. We'll find out. Yep. Want to thank you guys for watching as always, you know, listening to us on anything. Because time's valuable, guys.
[00:57:48] We don't take it for granted that you're spending some of your time with us. So we appreciate you. Love you. And Hayden, what is it that we like to close out with? Oh, I know it this time. Take care, stay safe, and have a very scary day. You got it. All right. See you guys. See ya.
