[00:01:23] I want to sincerely welcome you all.

[00:01:28] or the monster franchise that it spawned,
[00:01:31] then this podcast is going to be right up your alley
[00:01:32] because as I always say, me, Bjorn, and Nick

[00:01:42] So every week we have a brand new episode

[00:01:46] whether it be the books, TV shows, movies,
[00:01:49] video games, merchandise, whatever it is.
[00:01:50] If it has Goosebumps in the name,
[00:01:52] we're going to talk about it until our teeth rot out of our mouth.
[00:01:55] So with all that said,
[00:01:57] if you end up liking today's episode of the Goosebumps Crew,

[00:02:35] We thank you in advance for your support.
[00:02:37] Also joining us today is our good buddy, Sid,
[00:02:41] a.k.a. Dr. Wolfila.
[00:02:42] How are you doing today, Sid?
[00:02:44] Doing great. How are you?
[00:02:46] I'm doing great.
[00:02:46] And we're glad that you can join us again.
[00:02:48] If you guys remember, Sid joined us the first time
[00:02:51] back in episode number 22
[00:02:53] when we talked about children's horror anthologies.
[00:02:56] And we're back today with him.
[00:02:59] And we're going to be doing yet another top 10 list.
[00:03:03] Ooh, a top 10 list.
[00:03:04] And one thing that is absolutely necessary
[00:03:09] to a Goosebumps story is a fantastic ending.
[00:03:14] Every Goosebumps story has got to have that ending
[00:03:16] that just leaves everything off with a twist.
[00:03:19] With a twist.
[00:03:20] A twist ending.
[00:03:21] What a twist, as Shyamalan would say it.
[00:03:24] So Goosebumps is famous for its twist endings.
[00:03:28] And I believe R.L. Stine himself even attributed a lot of that
[00:03:31] to the classic EC Comics,
[00:03:34] which also had a very similar style in its writing and ending
[00:03:37] with a very gruesome and gory twist.
[00:03:40] But Goosebumps obviously did the same thing,
[00:03:42] minus the gruesome and gory.
[00:03:45] It mostly led in the shocking
[00:03:47] and sometimes the very goofy.
[00:03:50] But we're not going to be talking about the books.
[00:03:52] We're actually going to be talking about,
[00:03:54] of course, the 90s TV series.
[00:03:56] Of course.
[00:03:57] I mean, we always talk about the 90s TV series
[00:03:59] and it harnesses just as much of the charm of Goosebumps
[00:04:02] as the books do.
[00:04:03] And today we are going to count down our top 10 picks,
[00:04:07] each of us,
[00:04:07] for our favorite episode endings
[00:04:09] from the Goosebumps 90s TV series.
[00:04:12] Now, this doesn't necessarily reflect our thoughts
[00:04:14] on the entire episodes.
[00:04:16] Some of these on our list may not be our favorite episodes.
[00:04:19] They're just our favorite endings.
[00:04:21] And sometimes an ending can just really stick in your mind.
[00:04:25] So these are our top 10 picks.
[00:04:27] Oh, by the way, I should say,
[00:04:29] spoiler alert for all these episodes
[00:04:31] that we're going to talk about today.
[00:04:33] You have been warned.
[00:04:34] Okay.
[00:04:35] For the love of God,
[00:04:36] it's been 30 years, okay?
[00:04:38] Most people live under rocks.
[00:04:43] Big rocks.
[00:04:44] If you haven't watched the Goosebumps 90s show,
[00:04:48] but you're watching this podcast,
[00:04:49] you know what's going on.
[00:04:51] You have issues.
[00:04:51] Let's be clear.
[00:04:53] Now, if you don't know,
[00:04:55] yeah, you got problems,
[00:04:56] and you need to go watch that first.
[00:04:58] It's our podcast.
[00:04:59] At that point,
[00:05:00] if you haven't watched the TV show,
[00:05:01] but you watch our podcast,
[00:05:02] we know you're just watching it because of us.
[00:05:05] Moving on to my number 10,
[00:05:07] start things off.
[00:05:08] We have Welcome to Camp Nightmare.
[00:05:10] Now, of course,
[00:05:11] Welcome to Camp Nightmare is a classic episode,
[00:05:13] and it has probably one of the most well-known twist endings.
[00:05:15] So, this whole episode is essentially,
[00:05:19] it's pretty grounded overall.
[00:05:21] It's mostly a psychological sort of story
[00:05:23] where the main character goes to this camp,
[00:05:26] and he has all his friends with him,
[00:05:27] and one by one,
[00:05:28] each of them start to have some sort of turmoil happen to them.
[00:05:32] One of them gets a snake bite.
[00:05:34] The other one gets hit in the head
[00:05:36] during a baseball game.
[00:05:38] Two of them drown.
[00:05:40] And one by one,
[00:05:41] they start to disappear,
[00:05:41] and our main character, Billy,
[00:05:43] is just like,
[00:05:44] what is going on?
[00:05:45] And nobody seems to, like,
[00:05:47] really understand.
[00:05:48] Like, he goes around being like,
[00:05:50] where is this guy?
[00:05:51] Like, where is he?
[00:05:52] He got bit by a snake.
[00:05:53] And they're like,
[00:05:54] there is no camper with that name.
[00:05:56] So, it feels like he's going a little crazy.
[00:05:58] And it all culminates at the end
[00:06:00] where it seems like the boys' camp
[00:06:02] is going to go hunting for somebody
[00:06:03] who escaped from the girls' camp.
[00:06:05] And the usually jolly camp director,
[00:06:08] Uncle Al,
[00:06:09] is now acting like a fierce sort of
[00:06:13] general of sorts.
[00:06:14] Like a boot camp sort of person.
[00:06:17] And he's like,
[00:06:18] we're going to hunt down this person
[00:06:19] from the girls' camp.
[00:06:20] We have these tranquilizer darts.
[00:06:23] And long story short,
[00:06:25] Billy stands off,
[00:06:26] shoots Uncle Al out of defense.
[00:06:28] But it turns out,
[00:06:29] it was all a setup.
[00:06:31] It was all a government training lab.
[00:06:34] And everybody's okay.
[00:06:35] And this was all to test Billy's determination,
[00:06:39] his wit,
[00:06:40] and his survival skills.
[00:06:43] Because his parents were going on a trip.
[00:06:45] Now, this is not why this is
[00:06:48] one of my favorite endings of Goosebumps.
[00:06:50] It's because not only is all that true,
[00:06:53] but they're not even humans.
[00:06:55] They're aliens.
[00:06:56] And they're going to Earth.
[00:06:58] And that's why they needed to train Billy.
[00:07:00] Because they're going to Earth.
[00:07:02] That is like Twilight Zone stuff right there.
[00:07:06] That's like something you'd see
[00:07:07] out of Rod Serling right there.
[00:07:09] So everything was okay,
[00:07:11] but they're also aliens
[00:07:12] and they're going to go to Earth.
[00:07:14] And that's why they had to train them
[00:07:16] in this horrifying situation.
[00:07:18] Because they say the aliens there
[00:07:21] are pretty dangerous and unpredictable.
[00:07:23] We're savages.
[00:07:25] Oh my gosh.
[00:07:26] They didn't say that,
[00:07:26] but that's what we are.
[00:07:27] We're savages.
[00:07:29] We're going to cough on Billy
[00:07:30] and he's just going to instantly die.
[00:07:32] That's what I think is going to happen.
[00:07:35] Yep.
[00:07:36] I mean, it's just really funny
[00:07:37] that aliens apparently look
[00:07:39] and act exactly like us.
[00:07:41] So it's like they can go to Earth
[00:07:42] and have human names.
[00:07:45] Yeah.
[00:07:46] Yeah.
[00:07:47] William exists on this planet
[00:07:49] that's apparently facing Earth.
[00:07:51] I guess so.
[00:07:52] Yeah.
[00:07:53] All right.
[00:07:53] Unless his full name is William.
[00:07:55] Billy.
[00:07:57] Yep.
[00:07:58] That's his actual full name.
[00:07:59] So that's how you know
[00:08:00] he's not from this world.
[00:08:02] Been a while since I read the book,
[00:08:04] but I think the book had
[00:08:05] a bit more detail
[00:08:06] as far as like
[00:08:07] kind of giving you like
[00:08:09] animal names and stuff
[00:08:11] that didn't make any sense
[00:08:12] compared to
[00:08:13] what's actually
[00:08:15] here on Earth.
[00:08:17] Yeah.
[00:08:17] Right?
[00:08:18] Wasn't there?
[00:08:18] Yeah.
[00:08:19] I think we're shadowing
[00:08:20] a lot more in the book.
[00:08:22] Yeah.
[00:08:22] They like talk about
[00:08:23] like some weird society
[00:08:24] that we don't see
[00:08:25] and it's like,
[00:08:26] wow,
[00:08:26] what are you talking about?
[00:08:28] Aren't they going to camp?
[00:08:29] Like what?
[00:08:31] That's at least
[00:08:31] what I remember.
[00:08:32] I thought it was just
[00:08:33] a summer camp.
[00:08:34] They did a few things.
[00:08:35] Yeah.
[00:08:36] They did a few things
[00:08:36] in the book
[00:08:37] that at least foreshadow
[00:08:37] that this whole time
[00:08:39] like setting up,
[00:08:40] oh,
[00:08:40] they were aliens
[00:08:41] and there were clues throughout.
[00:08:42] There was really
[00:08:43] nothing of that
[00:08:43] in the TV show.
[00:08:44] So they did a
[00:08:46] pretty good job
[00:08:47] just saying,
[00:08:48] oh,
[00:08:48] by the way,
[00:08:49] Billy and Al,
[00:08:50] all these normal
[00:08:51] human names,
[00:08:52] but they're not human though.
[00:08:55] They're out of this world.
[00:08:58] They're just,
[00:08:58] they're Martians.
[00:08:59] They're Martians.
[00:09:01] So,
[00:09:01] but that's why I like
[00:09:02] the episode version more
[00:09:04] is just because it comes
[00:09:05] so out of nowhere
[00:09:07] and like,
[00:09:08] you're just like
[00:09:08] not expecting it.
[00:09:09] You think the twist
[00:09:10] is just that,
[00:09:11] you know,
[00:09:11] everyone's okay.
[00:09:12] It was a government
[00:09:13] training lab,
[00:09:13] but nope,
[00:09:14] they just add that
[00:09:15] last part in
[00:09:16] and you're just like,
[00:09:17] what?
[00:09:17] Well,
[00:09:18] the thing is,
[00:09:18] we don't even really know
[00:09:20] what if they even are aliens.
[00:09:21] They could be like
[00:09:23] by a government,
[00:09:25] like they could be robots
[00:09:26] or something.
[00:09:26] We don't even know.
[00:09:27] It's so vague.
[00:09:29] Yeah.
[00:09:29] That's,
[00:09:30] I guess it's one of those
[00:09:31] things that sticks with you.
[00:09:32] Yep.
[00:09:32] It's one of those things
[00:09:33] that people are robots.
[00:09:35] Yeah.
[00:09:37] Yeah.
[00:09:37] They have all these
[00:09:38] like rational explanations
[00:09:39] for everything
[00:09:40] and then they
[00:09:41] jump to the most
[00:09:42] irrational thing
[00:09:43] to end things off
[00:09:44] and yeah,
[00:09:45] you're left thinking about it
[00:09:46] by the time the credits roll.
[00:09:47] So really good episode
[00:09:49] and a really good ending.
[00:09:50] It's one of my personal favorites
[00:09:51] for that very reason.
[00:09:53] So yeah,
[00:09:54] Welcome to Camp Nightmare
[00:09:55] is my number 10.
[00:09:57] Ooh.
[00:09:59] You got Bjorn.
[00:10:02] Hmm.
[00:10:02] Number 10.
[00:10:04] I am going to start with
[00:10:05] One Day at Horrorland.
[00:10:07] I like this ending.
[00:10:09] I think it's
[00:10:10] really intense
[00:10:11] because we don't know
[00:10:12] whether or not
[00:10:12] the Morris family
[00:10:14] lived or
[00:10:16] died.
[00:10:17] We don't know
[00:10:19] but I just think
[00:10:20] it's so great.
[00:10:20] You know,
[00:10:21] like obviously
[00:10:22] they,
[00:10:22] you know,
[00:10:23] get into their car.
[00:10:24] Well,
[00:10:24] obviously we knew
[00:10:25] from the beginning
[00:10:26] of the episode
[00:10:26] that something was
[00:10:27] obviously like a tracker
[00:10:29] was stuck onto their car
[00:10:32] but we obviously
[00:10:33] didn't have any idea
[00:10:34] what it was going to do
[00:10:35] until we got to the end
[00:10:35] of the episode
[00:10:36] and then we obviously
[00:10:37] find out after they've
[00:10:38] finally escaped
[00:10:39] and they think we're free.
[00:10:41] Rod Eal
[00:10:42] obviously has a little
[00:10:43] remote control
[00:10:43] and he's controlling
[00:10:44] their car.
[00:10:45] So could you imagine
[00:10:46] having a remote control
[00:10:47] car like the size
[00:10:48] of an actual
[00:10:49] like four cylinder?
[00:10:51] Like that would be
[00:10:52] awesome.
[00:10:54] Like I thought
[00:10:55] it was a bomb
[00:10:56] they strapped to their
[00:10:56] car or something
[00:10:57] like that
[00:10:58] and it was just
[00:10:58] going to fucking
[00:10:59] explode at the end.
[00:11:01] We don't know
[00:11:02] like we didn't know
[00:11:03] like for so long
[00:11:04] like what was that,
[00:11:05] you know,
[00:11:05] and then in the end
[00:11:06] it's no,
[00:11:06] I'm just going to
[00:11:07] control you
[00:11:08] like I would a
[00:11:08] remote control car
[00:11:09] and I think that's
[00:11:10] just,
[00:11:10] I think that's awesome,
[00:11:11] you know,
[00:11:11] and I don't think
[00:11:12] a lot of people
[00:11:13] would think to put
[00:11:14] that on their top
[00:11:14] 10,
[00:11:15] but I don't know
[00:11:15] that ending always
[00:11:16] stuck with me
[00:11:17] and then obviously
[00:11:17] when they're hanging
[00:11:18] off the edge of the
[00:11:19] cliff and they're
[00:11:20] kind of rocking
[00:11:20] back and forth,
[00:11:21] you're like,
[00:11:22] well,
[00:11:23] what's going to
[00:11:23] happen?
[00:11:41] off right before we
[00:11:42] get to see what
[00:11:43] happens.
[00:11:44] So,
[00:11:45] I mean,
[00:11:45] what do you guys
[00:11:46] think happened?
[00:11:46] Do you think they
[00:11:47] died or they
[00:11:49] did?
[00:11:50] I completely think
[00:11:51] they died.
[00:11:52] Probably.
[00:11:52] Yeah.
[00:11:53] It's like,
[00:11:55] maybe the
[00:11:55] kids would have
[00:11:56] gone out like the
[00:11:57] back,
[00:11:57] but I don't think
[00:11:58] the parents are
[00:11:58] getting out of that.
[00:12:01] That's what it
[00:12:02] makes me think of
[00:12:02] like when they're
[00:12:03] hanging off the
[00:12:03] cliff.
[00:12:03] I don't know why
[00:12:04] I think of that
[00:12:04] clip from Billy
[00:12:05] Madison where like
[00:12:06] they just go off
[00:12:07] the cliff.
[00:12:10] I don't know
[00:12:11] why it makes me
[00:12:11] think of that,
[00:12:12] but no,
[00:12:13] I love that ending.
[00:12:14] I think it's a,
[00:12:15] I think it's a pretty
[00:12:15] good little twist
[00:12:16] that in the end,
[00:12:18] it was just a
[00:12:18] little remote control
[00:12:19] for their car.
[00:12:20] I think that was
[00:12:21] really clever.
[00:12:22] I like that.
[00:12:22] Yeah.
[00:12:23] Number 10.
[00:12:24] I mean,
[00:12:24] I'm going to go
[00:12:25] with one day
[00:12:25] at Harlan.
[00:12:26] That ending stuck
[00:12:26] with me.
[00:12:28] Understood.
[00:12:29] Nick.
[00:12:30] That's funny.
[00:12:31] Cause that's my
[00:12:31] number 10.
[00:12:32] I already covered
[00:12:33] it.
[00:12:36] I mean,
[00:12:37] it's,
[00:12:37] it's,
[00:12:38] that is another
[00:12:39] one that's very
[00:12:39] Twilight Zone-esque
[00:12:40] in its approach.
[00:12:41] I would,
[00:12:42] I would personally
[00:12:42] say.
[00:12:44] Yeah.
[00:12:45] So,
[00:12:46] yeah,
[00:12:46] I thought,
[00:12:47] I thought again,
[00:12:47] like we've talked
[00:12:49] about it,
[00:12:49] of course,
[00:12:50] but I mean,
[00:12:50] like it,
[00:12:50] it did have
[00:12:51] those really good
[00:12:53] cliff hangers,
[00:12:54] if you will.
[00:12:57] Hey,
[00:13:00] and we'll see you
[00:13:00] later guys on
[00:13:01] that horrible pun.
[00:13:02] Well,
[00:13:06] I'm a dad.
[00:13:06] I'm allowed to
[00:13:07] tell dad jokes.
[00:13:08] All right.
[00:13:09] It's my God
[00:13:09] given right.
[00:13:10] Maybe you could
[00:13:11] just not.
[00:13:12] So,
[00:13:13] well,
[00:13:13] I could,
[00:13:14] but I'm,
[00:13:14] I'm going to.
[00:13:16] So,
[00:13:17] deal with it.
[00:13:18] So,
[00:13:18] yeah,
[00:13:19] that's pretty much
[00:13:20] all I got with
[00:13:21] One Weekend
[00:13:21] at Horrorland.
[00:13:22] I mean,
[00:13:22] we are one day
[00:13:23] at Horrorland.
[00:13:24] See,
[00:13:24] One Weekend.
[00:13:24] See what I'm
[00:13:25] doing?
[00:13:26] Not so subtle
[00:13:27] plug right there.
[00:13:29] Not so subtle
[00:13:30] plug.
[00:13:32] What do you got,
[00:13:33] Sid?
[00:13:34] Well,
[00:13:35] my number 10
[00:13:36] is One Day in Horrorland.
[00:13:37] No,
[00:13:37] that's my number 10.
[00:13:38] Okay.
[00:13:38] My number 10
[00:13:39] is Stay Out of the Basement.
[00:13:41] I like this ending
[00:13:43] just because
[00:13:44] it's,
[00:13:45] it's,
[00:13:45] because it's like
[00:13:46] the goofy thing
[00:13:47] at the very end,
[00:13:48] but it's sort of like
[00:13:49] the situation
[00:13:49] where it's like,
[00:13:50] which one's
[00:13:51] the real dad?
[00:13:52] Because in the story,
[00:13:53] their dad has like
[00:13:54] some kind of secret
[00:13:55] plant experiment
[00:13:57] going on in the basement.
[00:13:59] They check it out
[00:14:00] and they find like
[00:14:01] their dad
[00:14:02] who seems like
[00:14:03] he's about to pick up
[00:14:04] like a crowbar
[00:14:05] and mess him up
[00:14:07] really bad.
[00:14:08] And then another dad
[00:14:09] shows up
[00:14:09] and he's like,
[00:14:10] I'm your real dad.
[00:14:11] That's not the real dad.
[00:14:13] I'm the real dad.
[00:14:13] And they have like
[00:14:14] this plant killer
[00:14:15] that they're holding up
[00:14:16] like a gun.
[00:14:17] So it is like
[00:14:18] one of those situations
[00:14:19] where it's like,
[00:14:19] which one's the real one?
[00:14:21] And of course,
[00:14:22] it's,
[00:14:22] it leads to like
[00:14:23] kind of cliche moment
[00:14:24] where it's like,
[00:14:25] only my real dad
[00:14:26] called me princess.
[00:14:27] So the daughter
[00:14:29] kills the copy.
[00:14:31] But at the same time,
[00:14:32] it's completely ambiguous
[00:14:33] whether or not
[00:14:34] the dad who doesn't
[00:14:36] get killed,
[00:14:37] the dad who gets spared
[00:14:37] is also a plant.
[00:14:39] And at the very end
[00:14:40] of the episode,
[00:14:41] they,
[00:14:42] they show the garden
[00:14:43] and it's just filled
[00:14:44] with all these puppet
[00:14:45] flowers that are like,
[00:14:46] I'm your real dad.
[00:14:47] No,
[00:14:48] I'm your real dad.
[00:14:49] No,
[00:14:49] I'm your real dad.
[00:14:50] It's just like such a,
[00:14:52] it's,
[00:14:52] it's really goofy
[00:14:54] and it's execution,
[00:14:55] but it's one of those
[00:14:55] things where you see it
[00:14:56] as a kid.
[00:14:58] And it's just like this most,
[00:15:00] the most uncanny thing,
[00:15:02] the most like overwhelming
[00:15:03] thing to a child's mind
[00:15:05] where you're just like,
[00:15:06] what is going on?
[00:15:08] Like,
[00:15:08] and it's also plays
[00:15:09] on that level of
[00:15:10] you can't trust your parents.
[00:15:12] Your parents could be doing
[00:15:13] some underhanded stuff.
[00:15:14] Could have a meth lab
[00:15:15] or,
[00:15:16] you know,
[00:15:17] a plant,
[00:15:17] either one.
[00:15:18] If you find it,
[00:15:19] you're,
[00:15:20] you're dead.
[00:15:20] So I guess it also works
[00:15:21] on that scary level of
[00:15:23] the horror is in your house.
[00:15:24] It's,
[00:15:25] it's not just out there.
[00:15:26] The horror is inside too.
[00:15:28] So that's the,
[00:15:29] you know,
[00:15:30] that was,
[00:15:31] that was my option.
[00:15:32] Well,
[00:15:32] and also just like how
[00:15:34] the plants at,
[00:15:35] some of the plants at first
[00:15:36] do have her dad's voice,
[00:15:37] but then some of them have like
[00:15:39] very different voices.
[00:15:40] Like one's like,
[00:15:41] yeah,
[00:15:41] Oh,
[00:15:41] I'm your father.
[00:15:42] It's like,
[00:15:43] no,
[00:15:43] I'm your father.
[00:15:46] And,
[00:15:47] um,
[00:15:48] no,
[00:15:48] it's a really good one.
[00:15:49] I don't remember how the book ended.
[00:15:51] I think it was just one flower
[00:15:53] that just like whispered,
[00:15:54] but a whole garden of just like
[00:15:56] voices is really,
[00:15:57] really creepy though.
[00:15:59] I think in our,
[00:15:59] uh,
[00:16:00] in our top scariest episodes list,
[00:16:03] uh,
[00:16:03] I think one of us brought up
[00:16:04] the possibility of what if there
[00:16:06] was,
[00:16:06] what if the ending was that,
[00:16:09] uh,
[00:16:09] the Margaret clone surfaced
[00:16:11] because they kind of showed
[00:16:12] that earlier that there was
[00:16:13] a clone of her because she
[00:16:15] pricked her thumb on a plant.
[00:16:16] And then like,
[00:16:17] as she's tying her shoe,
[00:16:18] like the clone of her,
[00:16:20] the plant clone appears behind
[00:16:21] her and like grab their
[00:16:23] off screen or something like
[00:16:24] that.
[00:16:24] Like,
[00:16:25] maybe that one story.
[00:16:28] What was that?
[00:16:29] Did he sequel that story?
[00:16:31] He did not.
[00:16:32] So unfortunately,
[00:16:33] and,
[00:16:33] uh,
[00:16:34] I mean,
[00:16:34] it's never now.
[00:16:36] No,
[00:16:36] I guess not.
[00:16:37] That was one.
[00:16:38] That was the ending.
[00:16:39] Uh,
[00:16:39] I kind of thought of,
[00:16:40] but somebody else,
[00:16:41] and I can't remember who it
[00:16:41] was,
[00:16:42] had a good one too.
[00:16:43] Like she stood up after tying
[00:16:46] her shoe and like kind of
[00:16:47] wiped her nose.
[00:16:48] Yeah.
[00:16:49] Bleeding.
[00:16:49] Yeah.
[00:16:50] I said,
[00:16:51] she has like a nose ball.
[00:16:52] He goes,
[00:16:52] Oh,
[00:16:52] your nose is bleeding.
[00:16:53] But then she kind of does
[00:16:54] this,
[00:16:54] but then it's just like green.
[00:16:56] Like,
[00:16:56] yeah.
[00:16:57] And then like,
[00:16:57] maybe she smiles a little bit
[00:16:59] and then she's like,
[00:16:59] in the case.
[00:17:00] Yeah.
[00:17:01] So we thought of actually a
[00:17:02] couple of better endings
[00:17:03] and what actually happened,
[00:17:04] but sadly we'll never see that.
[00:17:07] I think I said it was similar
[00:17:08] to the ending of let's get
[00:17:09] invisible where he finds out
[00:17:11] that his brother is actually
[00:17:12] the mirror version
[00:17:13] because he throws with his
[00:17:14] opposite hand.
[00:17:16] So,
[00:17:16] uh,
[00:17:17] it's like one of those things
[00:17:18] where you're like,
[00:17:19] wait a minute.
[00:17:20] Like I'm assuming that's
[00:17:21] on your list.
[00:17:23] No,
[00:17:23] it's not,
[00:17:24] but it was just something
[00:17:25] I was thinking of when
[00:17:26] we brought up that possibility.
[00:17:28] So,
[00:17:28] but I will tell you what
[00:17:29] is next on my list.
[00:17:30] Uh,
[00:17:31] my number nine is going to be
[00:17:32] attack of the jack-o'-lanterns.
[00:17:35] Um,
[00:17:36] yet again,
[00:17:37] another,
[00:17:37] there's going to be a lot
[00:17:38] of endings in the
[00:17:39] goosebumps series that have
[00:17:41] a lot of twilight zone
[00:17:42] esque endings.
[00:17:43] I know we attributed it
[00:17:44] to EC comics,
[00:17:45] but really it's more
[00:17:45] twilight zone.
[00:17:46] And this is definitely
[00:17:47] one of them.
[00:17:48] So again,
[00:17:49] funny enough,
[00:17:50] it deals with aliens too.
[00:17:52] So yeah,
[00:17:53] the whole episode,
[00:17:54] you have the kids being
[00:17:56] led by these two
[00:17:57] jack-o'-lantern heads,
[00:17:59] these two pumpkin heads,
[00:18:00] and they already seem like
[00:18:01] inhuman,
[00:18:02] but you're just probably
[00:18:03] thinking like,
[00:18:03] okay,
[00:18:04] they're just monsters.
[00:18:05] But then,
[00:18:06] uh,
[00:18:06] when they scare away
[00:18:07] Tabitha and Lee,
[00:18:09] uh,
[00:18:09] they're laughing.
[00:18:09] They're like,
[00:18:10] ah,
[00:18:10] we scare them really
[00:18:11] good.
[00:18:11] And then they morph
[00:18:12] back into Shane and
[00:18:13] Shauna,
[00:18:14] uh,
[00:18:15] from before.
[00:18:16] And then Drew is all
[00:18:17] like,
[00:18:17] ah,
[00:18:18] I knew it was you.
[00:18:19] And Walker's just
[00:18:19] like,
[00:18:21] what,
[00:18:23] what is like that?
[00:18:24] You had that,
[00:18:24] how did that beam
[00:18:25] show out of your,
[00:18:26] your,
[00:18:26] your claw?
[00:18:28] I love Walker in this episode
[00:18:29] because he's just like,
[00:18:32] he's so confused.
[00:18:33] But yeah,
[00:18:34] so it turns out that
[00:18:35] Shane and Shauna are aliens.
[00:18:37] And,
[00:18:38] uh,
[00:18:39] Drew says that they used
[00:18:40] to be my next door
[00:18:41] neighbors,
[00:18:41] but then they moved
[00:18:42] away.
[00:18:43] Um,
[00:18:44] but on top of that,
[00:18:46] so yeah,
[00:18:46] they're aliens,
[00:18:47] but they look like
[00:18:47] humans,
[00:18:48] but unlike
[00:18:49] welcome to camp
[00:18:50] nightmare,
[00:18:50] it's not their true
[00:18:51] form.
[00:18:52] So they take off
[00:18:53] their masks and
[00:18:54] they're these little
[00:18:55] worm puppet faces.
[00:18:57] So they're like,
[00:18:59] he's like,
[00:18:59] we got to get back.
[00:19:00] And he was like,
[00:19:00] nice meeting you,
[00:19:01] Walker.
[00:19:02] I always forget the
[00:19:03] name of the character,
[00:19:04] but they always made
[00:19:05] me think of,
[00:19:06] what was it?
[00:19:06] Meep or a beaker.
[00:19:11] Yeah.
[00:19:13] The mouth that just
[00:19:14] flapped open bulky
[00:19:16] bodies remind me of
[00:19:18] like the Goombas
[00:19:19] from the live action
[00:19:20] Super Mario
[00:19:20] Brothers movie.
[00:19:22] Exactly.
[00:19:23] They do look like
[00:19:24] that,
[00:19:24] don't they?
[00:19:24] They look like
[00:19:27] dehydrated Goombas.
[00:19:28] It's so uncanny
[00:19:29] when you see
[00:19:29] something with a
[00:19:30] giant body,
[00:19:31] but the littlest,
[00:19:32] tiniest head
[00:19:33] imaginable.
[00:19:35] Yeah.
[00:19:35] It's like you could
[00:19:36] grab their head
[00:19:36] like in the palm of
[00:19:37] your hand and just
[00:19:38] like squeeze it.
[00:19:39] How do they even
[00:19:40] eat like a human?
[00:19:42] Do they just turn
[00:19:42] them into like a
[00:19:43] soup thing or
[00:19:44] something?
[00:19:45] Cause like they
[00:19:45] had tiny little
[00:19:46] mouths.
[00:19:46] I'm like,
[00:19:46] how do they even
[00:19:47] like eat?
[00:19:48] I assume because
[00:19:49] they can shapeshift
[00:19:50] with no problems.
[00:19:52] Maybe they just
[00:19:53] like shapeshift into
[00:19:55] a giant job of
[00:19:57] the hut or
[00:19:58] something.
[00:19:58] Maybe they're
[00:19:59] like,
[00:20:00] something like that
[00:20:01] and it's like a
[00:20:02] snake or something.
[00:20:03] It's like snake.
[00:20:04] So just,
[00:20:05] yeah.
[00:20:06] Just unhits that
[00:20:07] meat flap right
[00:20:09] there.
[00:20:10] That beaker flap.
[00:20:11] Well,
[00:20:12] that's exactly why
[00:20:12] this episode is my
[00:20:13] favorite.
[00:20:15] If it weren't for
[00:20:16] the fact that,
[00:20:17] you know,
[00:20:18] they're aliens and
[00:20:20] then they look like
[00:20:20] that,
[00:20:21] you find out that
[00:20:22] the four missing
[00:20:23] people they keep
[00:20:24] talking about,
[00:20:25] they ate them.
[00:20:26] They ate all four
[00:20:27] of them.
[00:20:28] And they're like,
[00:20:31] they're like,
[00:20:31] oh,
[00:20:32] you better not
[00:20:32] fill up on all
[00:20:33] that candy because
[00:20:34] we'll be back next
[00:20:35] year.
[00:20:35] So it's like,
[00:20:36] they're like almost
[00:20:38] threatening them in a
[00:20:38] sense.
[00:20:39] They're just like,
[00:20:39] you better watch out
[00:20:40] because we'll be back
[00:20:41] and we eat humans.
[00:20:44] So,
[00:20:45] and then they get
[00:20:46] into the big
[00:20:46] spaceship.
[00:20:46] Let me tell you,
[00:20:46] that was terrifying
[00:20:48] to hear them say,
[00:20:49] I was like,
[00:20:49] I'm already screwed,
[00:20:51] man.
[00:20:52] I was like,
[00:20:54] but you're my
[00:20:55] friend.
[00:20:56] You wouldn't eat me.
[00:20:57] You're my friend.
[00:20:58] I was going to be
[00:20:58] something like some
[00:20:59] friends.
[00:20:59] You are,
[00:21:00] you're threatening
[00:21:00] to eat me next
[00:21:01] year.
[00:21:04] She bragged
[00:21:05] about how much
[00:21:05] she loves
[00:21:07] like she brags
[00:21:08] about it and
[00:21:09] then just like,
[00:21:09] oh yeah.
[00:21:11] And then they get
[00:21:12] into their big
[00:21:12] spaceship and it,
[00:21:13] I swear it looks
[00:21:14] like a jack-o-lantern.
[00:21:16] Like,
[00:21:16] did you guys ever
[00:21:16] think that too?
[00:21:17] Like,
[00:21:17] it almost looks like
[00:21:18] a jack-o-lantern
[00:21:19] face.
[00:21:19] I don't know.
[00:21:20] I rewatched it.
[00:21:21] I guess I didn't
[00:21:21] notice the ship.
[00:21:22] It kind of just
[00:21:23] looks like they
[00:21:24] just built a wall
[00:21:25] with a door on it.
[00:21:27] But I guess I
[00:21:29] didn't even notice
[00:21:30] that if they did.
[00:21:31] It was like
[00:21:32] E.T. style when
[00:21:33] they got inside
[00:21:34] the door and
[00:21:34] it closed.
[00:21:35] Like literally
[00:21:36] like from E.T.
[00:21:37] More heartwarming
[00:21:38] ending than E.T.
[00:21:39] That's what I was
[00:21:40] thinking too.
[00:21:41] Yeah.
[00:21:41] E.T. is hardcore
[00:21:42] shit.
[00:21:43] So Goosebumps
[00:21:43] definitely did that.
[00:21:44] Imagine if E.T.
[00:21:45] ended with E.T.
[00:21:46] being like,
[00:21:47] I might come back
[00:21:48] and you guys
[00:21:48] are so screwed.
[00:21:50] You guys almost
[00:21:50] let me die.
[00:21:51] before we came here.
[00:21:53] Wasn't there a sequel
[00:21:54] to E.T.
[00:21:55] like Super 8
[00:21:56] or something?
[00:21:56] Wasn't there like
[00:21:57] a prequel or sequel
[00:21:58] or in that same universe?
[00:22:00] Super 8?
[00:22:01] Not a sequel to E.T.
[00:22:02] Not Super 8.
[00:22:05] Isn't there like
[00:22:06] a movie that's like
[00:22:07] set in the same universe?
[00:22:09] No.
[00:22:10] I swear it was.
[00:22:10] No.
[00:22:11] E.T. actually
[00:22:12] shows up in a cameo
[00:22:14] in Star Wars Episode 1.
[00:22:15] If you look at me
[00:22:16] in the Republic Senate
[00:22:17] you could see a bunch
[00:22:18] of E.T.
[00:22:19] hanging out
[00:22:20] in all the parts.
[00:22:20] Oh yeah.
[00:22:22] E.T.
[00:22:22] It's a junior movie.
[00:22:23] Lucas and Spielberg
[00:22:24] are friends.
[00:22:25] I think they do have
[00:22:25] a little crossover
[00:22:26] because in E.T.
[00:22:28] E.T. passed a kid
[00:22:29] who's dressed as Yoda.
[00:22:31] In this movie as well
[00:22:32] you've got E.T.
[00:22:33] C-3PO
[00:22:34] you've got
[00:22:36] the Ewoks
[00:22:37] you've got
[00:22:38] there's a scene
[00:22:39] in The NeverEnding Story
[00:22:39] where all the creatures
[00:22:40] walk in
[00:22:41] at the Ivory Tower
[00:22:43] and you've got
[00:22:43] Mickey Mouse
[00:22:44] you've got C-3PO
[00:22:45] you've got E.T.
[00:22:46] you've got all of them there.
[00:22:47] They all cameo
[00:22:48] in The NeverEnding Story
[00:22:48] because it's like
[00:22:49] Fantasia
[00:22:50] is like fantasy world
[00:22:51] and I didn't even
[00:22:53] and even Gumby
[00:22:54] shows up there.
[00:22:55] I'm like what?
[00:22:56] Because apparently
[00:22:56] Spielberg
[00:22:57] and a bunch of different people
[00:22:58] like helped
[00:22:59] with that film's editing
[00:23:00] so they like added
[00:23:01] all the characters
[00:23:02] I think the earliest
[00:23:04] Star Wars cameo
[00:23:05] actually
[00:23:05] was in Spielberg's
[00:23:08] Close Encounters
[00:23:09] of the Third Kind
[00:23:10] like way beat
[00:23:11] like they were making
[00:23:12] that movie
[00:23:12] before Star Wars
[00:23:13] even came out
[00:23:14] and the effects guys
[00:23:15] snuck a little
[00:23:16] R2-D2
[00:23:17] on the alien spaceship
[00:23:18] that's seen
[00:23:19] at the end of the movie.
[00:23:21] Yeah.
[00:23:22] Never noticed that.
[00:23:23] When are Shane and Shauna
[00:23:25] going to appear
[00:23:25] in Star Wars?
[00:23:27] Maybe in the next
[00:23:28] couple of shows.
[00:23:30] They were on
[00:23:31] the Galactic Senate too.
[00:23:32] Yeah.
[00:23:33] They were there.
[00:23:35] Yeah.
[00:23:35] We didn't see that coming.
[00:23:36] It was cancelled
[00:23:36] season two
[00:23:37] so let's contact
[00:23:38] Disney and be like
[00:23:39] hey we got a
[00:23:40] brilliant idea
[00:23:41] for a new star.
[00:23:42] I was like
[00:23:42] you are not
[00:23:43] going to believe this.
[00:23:45] Hey.
[00:23:46] Goosebumps Disney right?
[00:23:48] Disney's now
[00:23:48] on Goosebumps
[00:23:49] is now on Disney+.
[00:23:50] Disney's now on Goosebumps.
[00:23:52] They had some Goosebumps
[00:23:53] attractions
[00:23:54] at Disney World
[00:23:55] back in the 90s
[00:23:56] when it was big.
[00:23:57] Not anymore though.
[00:23:59] It would be cool
[00:23:59] to see it come back.
[00:24:01] Yeah.
[00:24:01] Disney did a few things
[00:24:03] with Goosebumps.
[00:24:04] They did the
[00:24:05] Hollywood Studios show
[00:24:06] and they also were
[00:24:08] all the audio books
[00:24:10] for Goosebumps
[00:24:10] back then
[00:24:11] were through
[00:24:11] Walt Disney Records
[00:24:12] so yeah
[00:24:14] Walt Disney
[00:24:14] had a hand
[00:24:16] in some Goosebumps stuff
[00:24:17] but yeah
[00:24:17] let's get Shane and Shauna
[00:24:18] in Star Wars
[00:24:20] if they do episode 10
[00:24:22] let's do that.
[00:24:23] Let's make the whole
[00:24:24] let's make the whole movie
[00:24:25] about them.
[00:24:25] Okay.
[00:24:26] Oh god.
[00:24:28] But for now
[00:24:29] Attack of the Jack-o'-lanterns
[00:24:30] it's a great ending
[00:24:32] it's a pretty dark ending
[00:24:34] given the implications
[00:24:36] but it's one of my
[00:24:37] personal favorites
[00:24:38] and it makes my number nine.
[00:24:41] Definitely.
[00:24:43] For my number nine
[00:24:45] I had to stay out
[00:24:46] of the basement.
[00:24:48] You don't really know
[00:24:49] much
[00:24:53] some crossover.
[00:24:54] Yeah.
[00:24:54] Yeah.
[00:24:55] Probably.
[00:24:56] No for sure.
[00:24:57] You guys
[00:24:58] you guys listed
[00:24:58] my number one already
[00:25:00] so you know
[00:25:01] I'm equally screwed.
[00:25:03] Mark and Ghost?
[00:25:06] Going Worms?
[00:25:07] No
[00:25:08] I think
[00:25:09] Star of the Basement
[00:25:09] has got a great
[00:25:10] twist ending
[00:25:11] Go to Sleep?
[00:25:12] Like which
[00:25:12] all I'll add is
[00:25:13] yeah
[00:25:14] which flower
[00:25:14] was the real father?
[00:25:16] We'll never know.
[00:25:17] We'll never know
[00:25:18] which flower
[00:25:19] was the real
[00:25:20] real Dr. Brewer
[00:25:22] in the end
[00:25:22] so I don't know
[00:25:23] it's just
[00:25:24] yeah
[00:25:25] but yeah
[00:25:26] number nine
[00:25:26] is definitely
[00:25:27] stay out of the basement
[00:25:28] I mean
[00:25:28] I'm trying to think
[00:25:29] of what they could
[00:25:29] have also
[00:25:31] made it
[00:25:31] you know
[00:25:32] change to be
[00:25:33] a different twist
[00:25:33] but I just think
[00:25:34] it's yeah
[00:25:35] the idea
[00:25:36] that like
[00:25:36] these flowers
[00:25:37] are talking to her
[00:25:38] it's like
[00:25:38] it's literally
[00:25:39] something that
[00:25:39] you could just
[00:25:41] you know
[00:25:41] what I mean
[00:25:41] so she could
[00:25:42] literally
[00:25:42] quite easily
[00:25:43] kill
[00:25:43] her own father
[00:25:45] like
[00:25:48] deal with that
[00:25:49] sorry
[00:25:49] I like to think
[00:25:50] she went back
[00:25:50] in the house
[00:25:51] and grabbed the
[00:25:52] plant killer
[00:25:52] and just shut
[00:25:53] them all up
[00:25:53] right away
[00:25:54] yeah
[00:25:56] he's like
[00:25:56] nope
[00:25:56] I ain't dealing
[00:25:57] with that crap
[00:25:58] right now
[00:25:58] I will add
[00:25:59] one thing
[00:25:59] like
[00:26:00] I don't know
[00:26:01] maybe I'm just
[00:26:02] dumb
[00:26:03] but
[00:26:04] when they do
[00:26:05] the whole
[00:26:05] standoff thing
[00:26:07] what are you
[00:26:08] nodding your head
[00:26:08] for Nick
[00:26:09] what are you
[00:26:10] trying to say
[00:26:10] I'm agreeing
[00:26:11] with you
[00:26:12] yeah
[00:26:12] I'm just
[00:26:13] agreeing with you
[00:26:14] that's all
[00:26:16] they
[00:26:16] I don't know
[00:26:17] the actual
[00:26:18] like human
[00:26:19] dad
[00:26:20] kind of
[00:26:21] didn't look
[00:26:21] like the
[00:26:22] dad
[00:26:23] to me
[00:26:23] in that
[00:26:24] moment
[00:26:24] you know
[00:26:25] what I mean
[00:26:26] like I don't
[00:26:27] know if it was
[00:26:27] just because
[00:26:27] he's not wearing
[00:26:28] glasses or
[00:26:29] anything
[00:26:29] and it's just
[00:26:30] like
[00:26:31] the way that
[00:26:32] the scene
[00:26:32] is lit
[00:26:33] but I don't
[00:26:33] know
[00:26:33] I always
[00:26:34] thought that
[00:26:35] like
[00:26:35] they did
[00:26:36] look slightly
[00:26:37] different
[00:26:37] in some ways
[00:26:38] looked weird
[00:26:39] yeah
[00:26:39] he looked
[00:26:40] very strange
[00:26:40] he looked
[00:26:41] like he had
[00:26:41] lipstick on
[00:26:42] or something
[00:26:43] it was very
[00:26:43] strange
[00:26:44] yeah
[00:26:44] there was
[00:26:44] like weird
[00:26:45] attention
[00:26:45] drawn to his
[00:26:46] lips for some
[00:26:47] reason
[00:26:47] for me
[00:26:48] I don't
[00:26:48] I don't
[00:26:49] know what
[00:26:49] it was
[00:26:49] but maybe
[00:26:50] that's a side
[00:26:51] effect of the
[00:26:51] plant stuff
[00:26:52] being done
[00:26:53] with him
[00:26:54] I don't
[00:26:55] collagen
[00:26:57] something like
[00:26:57] that
[00:26:58] Nick what do you
[00:26:59] got
[00:26:59] oh that's
[00:26:59] time
[00:27:01] uh well
[00:27:01] my number
[00:27:02] nine is
[00:27:03] perfect school
[00:27:03] cool
[00:27:04] cool
[00:27:05] yeah
[00:27:06] actually really
[00:27:06] liked perfect
[00:27:07] school
[00:27:08] uh it's
[00:27:08] grown on
[00:27:09] me
[00:27:09] over the
[00:27:10] years
[00:27:10] like I
[00:27:10] said
[00:27:10] didn't
[00:27:11] like it
[00:27:11] as a
[00:27:11] kid
[00:27:11] because it
[00:27:12] didn't have
[00:27:12] monsters
[00:27:13] really or
[00:27:14] you know
[00:27:14] anything
[00:27:15] really super
[00:27:16] exciting in
[00:27:16] my opinion
[00:27:17] but you know
[00:27:18] the older I
[00:27:18] got the more
[00:27:19] you watch
[00:27:19] it's
[00:27:19] pretty good
[00:27:20] and the
[00:27:22] fact that
[00:27:22] the ending
[00:27:23] is you
[00:27:24] are certain
[00:27:25] like the
[00:27:26] main character
[00:27:27] is swapped
[00:27:28] out but
[00:27:28] then it's
[00:27:28] like no
[00:27:30] no he's
[00:27:31] he's acting
[00:27:31] right now
[00:27:32] and he's
[00:27:32] actually going
[00:27:32] to go back
[00:27:33] into the
[00:27:33] school to
[00:27:34] try to
[00:27:35] free everyone
[00:27:38] and it's
[00:27:38] I thought
[00:27:39] it was a
[00:27:39] pretty good
[00:27:40] ending and
[00:27:40] it would be
[00:27:40] a sequel like
[00:27:41] I would have
[00:27:42] really liked to
[00:27:42] have actually
[00:27:43] watched now
[00:27:44] like him
[00:27:45] going back
[00:27:45] in and
[00:27:46] doing all
[00:27:46] this other
[00:27:46] stuff so
[00:27:47] it's more
[00:27:47] of like a
[00:27:50] weird clone
[00:27:51] spy thriller
[00:27:52] in a way
[00:27:52] for goosebumps
[00:27:53] which is kind
[00:27:54] of weird
[00:27:54] but still
[00:27:56] really enjoyable
[00:27:56] a little bit
[00:27:57] of body
[00:27:58] heart
[00:27:59] yeah
[00:28:00] it was
[00:28:00] really well
[00:28:01] done
[00:28:01] you
[00:28:02] and you
[00:28:03] actually see
[00:28:03] like the
[00:28:03] deformed
[00:28:04] messed up
[00:28:05] versions and
[00:28:05] tubes
[00:28:07] as they're
[00:28:07] trying to get
[00:28:08] you perfect
[00:28:10] it's pretty
[00:28:10] cool I mean
[00:28:11] I would like
[00:28:11] to have seen
[00:28:12] a bit more
[00:28:13] out of that
[00:28:13] and I thought
[00:28:13] the ending
[00:28:14] was pretty
[00:28:15] well
[00:28:15] done
[00:28:16] we would have
[00:28:16] seen a lot
[00:28:17] less of it
[00:28:17] I mean
[00:28:18] originally that
[00:28:18] was a 20
[00:28:19] minute episode
[00:28:19] according to
[00:28:20] Ronald but he
[00:28:21] loved it so
[00:28:22] much that
[00:28:22] they added
[00:28:24] more to
[00:28:25] it to make
[00:28:25] it a two
[00:28:25] part
[00:28:26] they went to
[00:28:26] the network
[00:28:28] and said
[00:28:29] we love
[00:28:29] this too
[00:28:30] much
[00:28:30] like we
[00:28:30] we want
[00:28:31] another part
[00:28:31] for it
[00:28:32] and they
[00:28:32] said okay
[00:28:33] but you only
[00:28:34] have I think
[00:28:34] they only gave
[00:28:35] them like a
[00:28:35] very limited
[00:28:36] amount of
[00:28:36] time to
[00:28:37] film the
[00:28:38] second part
[00:28:38] but by
[00:28:39] god they
[00:28:39] did it
[00:28:40] and
[00:28:40] yeah
[00:28:41] it was just
[00:28:44] going to be
[00:28:44] time
[00:28:46] I think
[00:28:46] the adults
[00:28:47] were obviously
[00:28:47] enjoying that
[00:28:48] episode a little
[00:28:48] more because
[00:28:49] like you said
[00:28:49] when you're a
[00:28:49] kid there's
[00:28:50] no monsters
[00:28:50] or anything
[00:28:51] so you weren't
[00:28:52] really a fan
[00:28:52] of it like
[00:28:53] I love the
[00:28:53] episode now
[00:28:54] too I think
[00:28:54] it's a great
[00:28:55] goosebumps episode
[00:28:56] and I think
[00:28:57] it is more
[00:28:58] edging towards
[00:28:59] teen adults
[00:29:00] like to
[00:29:01] enjoy as
[00:29:02] opposed to
[00:29:02] what a kid
[00:29:03] because a kid
[00:29:03] might find it
[00:29:04] boring but to
[00:29:05] us it's like
[00:29:05] no this is
[00:29:06] great like
[00:29:06] this is really
[00:29:07] entertaining
[00:29:08] you know it
[00:29:09] was really it
[00:29:09] was shot really
[00:29:10] well and it
[00:29:11] was it was
[00:29:11] creepy and
[00:29:12] yeah I agree
[00:29:13] I think it's a
[00:29:14] very good episode
[00:29:15] and good ending
[00:29:16] I love the
[00:29:17] perfect school
[00:29:17] definitely one of
[00:29:18] the most
[00:29:18] optimistic
[00:29:19] it's almost like
[00:29:19] the anti-goosebumps
[00:29:21] ending because
[00:29:21] most goosebumps
[00:29:22] endings are like
[00:29:23] scary and it's
[00:29:25] like sort of
[00:29:26] an like a
[00:29:27] negative implication
[00:29:29] of what happens
[00:29:29] next but this is
[00:29:30] like probably the
[00:29:31] only goosebumps
[00:29:32] ending that's not
[00:29:33] only like a
[00:29:34] happy ending
[00:29:34] because the main
[00:29:35] character gets
[00:29:36] away but it's
[00:29:37] like the most
[00:29:38] optimistic because
[00:29:39] he's hacking into
[00:29:40] their system and
[00:29:41] is like working to
[00:29:42] free everyone else
[00:29:43] so it's like
[00:29:44] wow this is a
[00:29:45] very optimistic
[00:29:46] view on
[00:29:46] everything good
[00:29:47] for them good
[00:29:48] for them yeah
[00:29:50] but yeah I
[00:29:52] agree I think
[00:29:52] that's a good
[00:29:53] pick Sid what
[00:29:54] you got
[00:29:55] uh my number
[00:29:56] nine is one day
[00:29:57] in horror land
[00:29:58] which we already
[00:29:59] went through but
[00:29:59] I do want to
[00:30:00] comment on the
[00:30:02] fact that I
[00:30:02] like how the
[00:30:03] horror host
[00:30:06] says talk about
[00:30:07] a cliffhanger
[00:30:08] when they're on
[00:30:08] the uh on the
[00:30:09] precipice that's uh
[00:30:11] funny and I also
[00:30:12] like that one
[00:30:13] horror in the
[00:30:14] living room he
[00:30:16] like grabs like
[00:30:17] some cockroaches
[00:30:18] out of a bowl
[00:30:19] and is like oh
[00:30:20] that's a big one
[00:30:21] I like that um
[00:30:22] where it's like
[00:30:24] uh messed up
[00:30:25] ending especially
[00:30:26] for a kid but
[00:30:27] then you have to
[00:30:28] process that these
[00:30:29] monsters are like
[00:30:31] making light of uh
[00:30:32] human suffering
[00:30:33] and death like
[00:30:34] yeah it's like
[00:30:35] okay you know
[00:30:36] to them we're
[00:30:37] we're nothing so
[00:30:38] you know
[00:30:39] yeah they're like
[00:30:40] they're paying it
[00:30:41] up to your life
[00:30:42] and then they just
[00:30:42] turn it off and
[00:30:43] just like oh I'm
[00:30:44] sick of these shows
[00:30:45] like and then
[00:30:46] they're like well
[00:30:47] maybe we're bored
[00:30:48] of it like
[00:30:51] yeah
[00:30:53] yeah
[00:30:54] yeah
[00:30:54] I love those two
[00:30:55] they should make us
[00:30:56] they should make a
[00:30:57] book about those
[00:30:58] two horrors
[00:30:58] yeah
[00:30:59] they have this set
[00:31:00] yeah
[00:31:00] make a sitcom
[00:31:02] exactly
[00:31:04] well isn't that
[00:31:04] episode just funny
[00:31:05] and like that
[00:31:06] not only that but
[00:31:07] like all the
[00:31:08] different commercials
[00:31:08] they do so
[00:31:09] there's like the
[00:31:10] the children's
[00:31:11] toys like for
[00:31:12] horrors and then
[00:31:13] the horror monster
[00:31:14] love album
[00:31:15] it's like your
[00:31:16] heart is in my
[00:31:16] hands or something
[00:31:17] like that
[00:31:18] yeah it's weird
[00:31:19] how
[00:31:21] how the whole
[00:31:22] episode goes
[00:31:23] like in a
[00:31:24] takes makes a
[00:31:25] 180 into a
[00:31:26] totally different
[00:31:27] direction from
[00:31:28] like horror theme
[00:31:29] park to a
[00:31:30] commentary on
[00:31:32] uh I guess like a
[00:31:34] future commentary on
[00:31:35] reality shows and
[00:31:36] just like how
[00:31:37] violent tv is and
[00:31:39] everything like
[00:31:39] okay
[00:31:41] absolutely
[00:31:42] rl you're
[00:31:43] spitting
[00:31:43] yeah
[00:31:45] well that's the
[00:31:46] thing that's why
[00:31:46] part two is
[00:31:47] honestly more
[00:31:48] interesting because
[00:31:48] it just goes into
[00:31:50] the comedy
[00:31:50] territory it's like
[00:31:51] one it is one of
[00:31:52] the funniest like
[00:31:53] episodes of the
[00:31:54] show um because
[00:31:56] you're just in this
[00:31:56] surreal situation
[00:31:57] like I I'll just
[00:31:59] I'll never forget
[00:32:00] the uh the
[00:32:01] makeup scene
[00:32:02] and they're offering
[00:32:03] them like here we
[00:32:04] got eyeball like
[00:32:06] well we got like
[00:32:06] eyeball stew
[00:32:07] booger surprise
[00:32:08] and they're just
[00:32:09] like no thanks
[00:32:10] so I'll see
[00:32:10] yourself
[00:32:13] that's something
[00:32:14] that they would
[00:32:15] serve in uh
[00:32:16] harry potter land
[00:32:16] at universal
[00:32:17] yeah they
[00:32:18] definitely won
[00:32:19] oh I'll have
[00:32:20] that that sounds
[00:32:21] really good
[00:32:21] yeah and harry
[00:32:23] potter is okay
[00:32:23] but it's nasty
[00:32:28] god everything's
[00:32:29] pumpkin you
[00:32:30] mentioned harry
[00:32:30] potter everything's
[00:32:31] pumpkin themed for
[00:32:32] some reason like
[00:32:33] pumpkin juice
[00:32:34] pumpkin pasties
[00:32:35] like they really
[00:32:36] like pumpkin
[00:32:37] why don't they
[00:32:37] just eat a
[00:32:38] cauldron cake
[00:32:40] and butterbeer
[00:32:43] i'm not a harry
[00:32:44] potter fan but
[00:32:45] that's one thing
[00:32:45] i will absolutely
[00:32:46] say that i know
[00:32:47] much about is
[00:32:48] butterbeer because
[00:32:49] of uh universal
[00:32:50] studios so
[00:32:52] yes yeah and
[00:32:53] it's delicious
[00:32:54] uh moving on to
[00:32:56] my number eight i
[00:32:57] have uh the
[00:32:58] house of no
[00:32:59] return uh this
[00:33:01] is a classic ghost
[00:33:02] story and a
[00:33:03] classic ghost
[00:33:04] story ending so
[00:33:05] creepy ending it
[00:33:07] is a very creepy
[00:33:08] ending it is one
[00:33:08] of the most like
[00:33:10] horrifying endings
[00:33:11] of the goosebumps tv
[00:33:12] show because of
[00:33:13] the implications of
[00:33:14] it um so these
[00:33:17] three kids are
[00:33:17] tormenting they
[00:33:18] keep on bringing
[00:33:19] people to lock
[00:33:20] them in this
[00:33:21] haunted house that
[00:33:22] they're like oh
[00:33:23] you gotta stay in
[00:33:24] here for this
[00:33:25] amount of time to
[00:33:26] prove that you're
[00:33:26] like that you're
[00:33:27] not chicken or
[00:33:28] something like
[00:33:29] that um and this
[00:33:31] one kid gets
[00:33:32] in there but he
[00:33:33] sees like the
[00:33:34] actual ghosts and
[00:33:36] uh you think that
[00:33:36] he's gonna be like
[00:33:37] trapped in there
[00:33:38] they're gonna open
[00:33:38] it up and he'll be
[00:33:39] nowhere to be found
[00:33:40] and he is but um
[00:33:42] what actually ends
[00:33:43] up happening is the
[00:33:44] three bullies or
[00:33:46] the three kids that
[00:33:47] were like trapping
[00:33:48] him are uh
[00:33:49] themselves trapped
[00:33:50] in the house and
[00:33:51] the ghosts come
[00:33:52] down from the
[00:33:52] stairs and they
[00:33:53] like appear as
[00:33:54] they're walking
[00:33:55] down it's really
[00:33:57] creepy there's like
[00:33:57] thunder and lightning
[00:33:58] going on outside
[00:34:00] and they come
[00:34:01] down and they're
[00:34:01] like oh we
[00:34:02] love children
[00:34:04] he's like we
[00:34:06] want to we've
[00:34:06] always wanted to
[00:34:07] have our own
[00:34:08] children and
[00:34:08] they're like well
[00:34:09] where did where
[00:34:09] did that other
[00:34:10] kid go you know
[00:34:11] like oh he made
[00:34:13] a bargain with us
[00:34:14] he said he told
[00:34:15] us that instead of
[00:34:16] one kid we could
[00:34:17] have three so
[00:34:19] we let him go
[00:34:21] yeah a three for
[00:34:22] one deal so he's
[00:34:24] like we let him
[00:34:25] go and let you in
[00:34:27] and they're like
[00:34:28] now you're gonna
[00:34:28] stay here forever
[00:34:31] forever
[00:34:31] oh that's
[00:34:32] yeah no i agree
[00:34:34] that's a bloody
[00:34:35] terrifying that's
[00:34:36] like a scary story
[00:34:37] to tell in the dark
[00:34:38] sort of ending
[00:34:38] right there just
[00:34:39] like the you are
[00:34:40] trapped in this
[00:34:41] house forever you
[00:34:42] will never get
[00:34:43] away with two
[00:34:44] ghosts so yeah
[00:34:46] um and you just
[00:34:47] hear the screams
[00:34:48] in the background
[00:34:48] too like when it
[00:34:49] pans out to the
[00:34:50] house you just
[00:34:50] hear the kids
[00:34:51] screaming and
[00:34:51] you're like oh
[00:34:52] my god like
[00:34:53] that's kind of
[00:34:54] traumatizing
[00:34:55] mm-hmm
[00:34:56] no they shouldn't
[00:34:57] have messed with
[00:34:57] the you don't
[00:34:58] mess with the
[00:34:58] haunted houses
[00:34:59] kids haunted
[00:35:00] house you don't
[00:35:01] don't mess with
[00:35:02] it you don't
[00:35:02] know what is
[00:35:03] inside on the
[00:35:04] houses and
[00:35:05] ouija boards
[00:35:06] leave them alone
[00:35:07] and louija boards
[00:35:11] so yeah not much
[00:35:13] to that one funny
[00:35:14] that like that's
[00:35:14] actually one thing
[00:35:15] i've never seen
[00:35:17] stein but in his
[00:35:19] books actually now
[00:35:20] i think about as
[00:35:20] ouija boards that
[00:35:21] was a very popular
[00:35:24] game for kids
[00:35:26] oddly enough
[00:35:27] maybe i mean i
[00:35:28] know it's sold
[00:35:29] by a company
[00:35:30] but the implications
[00:35:32] that a ouija board
[00:35:33] has with some
[00:35:34] people depending
[00:35:35] on what you
[00:35:35] believe and
[00:35:36] everything like
[00:35:36] that it's still
[00:35:38] in fact a very
[00:35:40] supernatural and
[00:35:42] mystical item that
[00:35:44] i'm surprised
[00:35:44] stein has never
[00:35:45] used before
[00:35:46] maybe not in
[00:35:47] goosebumps but i
[00:35:48] feel like he had to
[00:35:49] have used it in
[00:35:50] like fear street or
[00:35:51] something like that
[00:35:52] or maybe one of
[00:35:52] like his standalone
[00:35:53] books i mean he
[00:35:55] had to have used
[00:35:55] it at a point
[00:35:57] um but who
[00:35:58] knows i always just
[00:36:00] equate the ouija
[00:36:00] boards to like
[00:36:01] more like older
[00:36:04] horror you know
[00:36:05] what i mean i
[00:36:06] always kind of
[00:36:06] equate it to sort
[00:36:07] of like the
[00:36:08] more um god
[00:36:10] what's the word
[00:36:11] like sort of
[00:36:12] devilish sort of
[00:36:13] ghost sort of
[00:36:14] thing like more
[00:36:15] satanic ghosts
[00:36:17] um but maybe
[00:36:18] most people do
[00:36:18] because most people
[00:36:19] believe that it
[00:36:20] summons like
[00:36:21] evil spirits
[00:36:22] rather than
[00:36:23] demons like
[00:36:23] that sort of
[00:36:24] thing if you're
[00:36:25] trying to like
[00:36:25] contact the dead
[00:36:26] you're instead
[00:36:26] you're just
[00:36:27] gonna get a
[00:36:27] demon or
[00:36:28] something um
[00:36:29] movies play a
[00:36:31] big part in
[00:36:31] what make
[00:36:32] people believe
[00:36:33] certain things
[00:36:33] though uh
[00:36:34] when it comes
[00:36:35] to not only
[00:36:36] ouija boards
[00:36:36] but like sharks
[00:36:37] or you know
[00:36:40] certain other
[00:36:41] things in life
[00:36:41] that really is
[00:36:42] not true but
[00:36:43] you know like
[00:36:45] arachnophobia
[00:36:45] with spiders
[00:36:47] ogres
[00:36:48] my my
[00:36:48] granddaddy
[00:36:49] walked up to
[00:36:50] an ogre
[00:36:50] think he was
[00:36:51] shrek and
[00:36:51] now he's
[00:36:52] and then he
[00:36:53] got clobbed in
[00:36:53] the head
[00:36:54] yeah
[00:36:56] damn you
[00:36:57] dreamworks
[00:36:58] i know
[00:36:59] when i'm to
[00:37:00] donkey thought i
[00:37:01] was gonna get
[00:37:01] some waffles
[00:37:02] yeah
[00:37:02] damn you
[00:37:03] mike myers
[00:37:04] i didn't get
[00:37:05] no waffles
[00:37:06] not to be
[00:37:06] confused with
[00:37:07] michael myers
[00:37:10] mike myers
[00:37:12] that's a
[00:37:13] cool
[00:37:13] that scene
[00:37:14] so yeah
[00:37:15] nothing much
[00:37:16] to my number
[00:37:16] eight house
[00:37:17] of no return
[00:37:17] it's just a
[00:37:18] great ghost
[00:37:18] story ending
[00:37:19] and it's uh
[00:37:19] it is one
[00:37:20] that definitely
[00:37:21] will probably
[00:37:21] scare the shit
[00:37:22] out of your
[00:37:23] kids so
[00:37:23] number eight
[00:37:24] yeah
[00:37:26] oh well
[00:37:27] i'm gonna hit
[00:37:28] the nail on the
[00:37:29] head a little
[00:37:29] bit with my
[00:37:30] number eight
[00:37:31] because mine
[00:37:31] is a literal
[00:37:32] twist ending
[00:37:33] actual twist
[00:37:35] ending
[00:37:36] night living
[00:37:37] dummy three
[00:37:41] trying to make
[00:37:42] that sound
[00:37:42] effective to
[00:37:43] work um
[00:37:44] well obviously
[00:37:45] we know how
[00:37:46] that one ends
[00:37:46] with uh poor
[00:37:47] young anakin
[00:37:48] skywalker
[00:37:48] who unfortunately
[00:37:52] is a little
[00:37:54] bit dumb in
[00:37:55] the head
[00:37:55] if you know
[00:37:56] what i mean
[00:37:57] yes
[00:37:58] his head
[00:37:59] literally twists
[00:38:00] so uh
[00:38:01] being an
[00:38:03] actual twist
[00:38:03] ending um
[00:38:04] so no i i
[00:38:06] think i like
[00:38:06] the idea
[00:38:07] of obviously
[00:38:07] you know
[00:38:08] he's turned
[00:38:08] into a dummy
[00:38:09] as we all
[00:38:09] know that's
[00:38:10] what happens
[00:38:10] that's what
[00:38:10] slappy does
[00:38:11] turns him into
[00:38:12] a ventriloquist
[00:38:12] dummy
[00:38:13] becomes one
[00:38:13] of his
[00:38:14] slaves
[00:38:15] um
[00:38:15] and then
[00:38:16] obviously at
[00:38:16] the end
[00:38:17] when they
[00:38:17] finally defeat
[00:38:18] slappy
[00:38:19] they think
[00:38:19] everything goes
[00:38:20] back to
[00:38:20] normal
[00:38:21] little do
[00:38:22] they know
[00:38:23] zane
[00:38:23] zane
[00:38:24] is uh
[00:38:25] here's the
[00:38:25] thing i want
[00:38:26] to know
[00:38:26] though like
[00:38:27] i don't know
[00:38:27] if you have
[00:38:28] a better take
[00:38:28] on this but
[00:38:29] obviously you
[00:38:30] know his head
[00:38:30] twists around
[00:38:31] but he looks
[00:38:32] like zane so
[00:38:32] he still just
[00:38:33] has acquired
[00:38:34] some of those
[00:38:34] powers
[00:38:36] right that
[00:38:37] were handed
[00:38:38] down from
[00:38:39] when he was
[00:38:39] turned into
[00:38:40] a dummy so
[00:38:40] i always wondered
[00:38:41] that like
[00:38:42] he's obviously
[00:38:42] not a ventriloquist
[00:38:43] dummy anymore
[00:38:44] but he still
[00:38:44] has like
[00:38:45] some kind of
[00:38:46] powers that's
[00:38:47] gonna be a new
[00:38:48] superhero
[00:38:48] he's gonna be
[00:38:49] dummy man
[00:38:52] dummy man
[00:38:53] he's gonna be
[00:38:53] dummy man
[00:38:55] um
[00:38:55] well also
[00:38:56] he talks really
[00:38:57] sinister like
[00:38:58] like when he
[00:38:59] says i'll be
[00:39:00] seeing you soon
[00:39:00] cousins it's
[00:39:01] like really
[00:39:02] like sort of
[00:39:03] foreboding
[00:39:04] in its like
[00:39:05] approach so
[00:39:06] it's almost
[00:39:06] like is he
[00:39:08] like evil
[00:39:09] is he like
[00:39:10] i don't know
[00:39:11] is he just
[00:39:11] being weird
[00:39:12] it's like
[00:39:13] maybe he's
[00:39:14] gotta i don't
[00:39:14] want to give
[00:39:15] too much away
[00:39:15] but like in
[00:39:17] relation to
[00:39:17] another slappy
[00:39:18] episode
[00:39:18] is it like
[00:39:19] a part of
[00:39:20] slappy is still
[00:39:21] present within
[00:39:22] him
[00:39:23] like you know
[00:39:24] makes you think
[00:39:25] and to him
[00:39:25] when slappy was
[00:39:27] destroyed did he
[00:39:27] just go inside
[00:39:28] scene
[00:39:28] here's what would
[00:39:30] have really like
[00:39:31] sold it for
[00:39:32] the audience
[00:39:32] was if they
[00:39:33] just put that
[00:39:34] little bit of
[00:39:34] hair there
[00:39:35] when he turned
[00:39:36] his head around
[00:39:38] just a tiny
[00:39:39] little bit of
[00:39:40] hair there
[00:39:40] then we
[00:39:40] know exactly
[00:39:42] what's
[00:39:42] happening
[00:39:44] but um
[00:39:45] and then i
[00:39:45] mean rl stein
[00:39:46] says it himself
[00:39:47] that ending
[00:39:47] did have a
[00:39:48] good twist
[00:39:48] so yeah
[00:39:50] that one
[00:39:50] makes my
[00:39:51] number eight
[00:39:51] i mean
[00:39:52] it kind of
[00:39:52] hits the nail
[00:39:53] you know
[00:39:53] it's right on
[00:39:55] the nose
[00:39:55] that one
[00:39:55] it's a
[00:39:56] tail to turn
[00:39:57] some heads
[00:39:59] yeah literally
[00:40:00] so it makes
[00:40:02] my number
[00:40:02] eight
[00:40:03] um but i
[00:40:03] don't think
[00:40:04] you give me
[00:40:04] crap for my
[00:40:05] dad joke
[00:40:06] earlier
[00:40:07] i don't want
[00:40:08] to hear it
[00:40:08] but rl stein's
[00:40:09] fun when he
[00:40:10] does it
[00:40:10] you're just
[00:40:11] annoying
[00:40:13] i mean i
[00:40:14] don't think it's
[00:40:14] good enough to
[00:40:15] make like my
[00:40:15] top five twist
[00:40:16] endings but i
[00:40:18] like the episode
[00:40:19] is in my top
[00:40:19] five i love the
[00:40:20] episode but
[00:40:21] um in terms of
[00:40:22] the twist it's
[00:40:23] it's in the top
[00:40:24] ten though it still
[00:40:25] makes the list so
[00:40:26] number eight
[00:40:27] that's for me
[00:40:27] yep
[00:40:29] mine is in the
[00:40:30] same vein but
[00:40:32] just a different
[00:40:33] one bride of
[00:40:34] the living dummy
[00:40:37] because the
[00:40:38] whole like
[00:40:39] what we were
[00:40:40] just actually
[00:40:41] talking about
[00:40:42] the whole
[00:40:43] slappy's evil
[00:40:44] spirit going
[00:40:45] into another
[00:40:46] body of sorts
[00:40:48] ends up going
[00:40:49] into harrison
[00:40:50] and it's not
[00:40:51] only changed
[00:40:53] his voice but
[00:40:54] it changed his
[00:40:54] appearance so
[00:40:55] those big
[00:40:56] ass weird
[00:40:57] ass eyes and
[00:40:58] the jerry curl
[00:41:00] he got up front
[00:41:01] you know now
[00:41:02] he's looking all
[00:41:02] slick and cool
[00:41:03] and then i like
[00:41:05] how the voice
[00:41:05] actually changed
[00:41:06] um harrison to
[00:41:08] slappy like
[00:41:09] mid like as
[00:41:10] he's talking
[00:41:12] so yeah
[00:41:13] it really
[00:41:14] uh
[00:41:16] that that
[00:41:17] that appearance
[00:41:18] mixed with the
[00:41:19] voice of
[00:41:19] slappy was just
[00:41:20] really kind of
[00:41:21] odd and off
[00:41:22] putting uh
[00:41:23] uh
[00:41:24] it was not
[00:41:25] what i expected
[00:41:25] because when
[00:41:27] you watch the
[00:41:27] other
[00:41:27] night of the
[00:41:29] living dummy
[00:41:29] episodes you
[00:41:30] know exactly
[00:41:31] like where
[00:41:32] slappy is like
[00:41:33] you know
[00:41:33] and two
[00:41:34] slappy spirit
[00:41:35] kind of poofs
[00:41:36] away
[00:41:37] don't but at
[00:41:38] least you know
[00:41:39] it's gone
[00:41:39] didn't go in
[00:41:40] anybody whatever
[00:41:41] dennis is there
[00:41:42] i guess to protect
[00:41:43] from the evil
[00:41:44] slappy spirit
[00:41:45] whatever
[00:41:45] my living dummy
[00:41:46] three maybe
[00:41:47] went into zane
[00:41:48] but i just
[00:41:48] have a feeling
[00:41:49] like that
[00:41:50] was just like
[00:41:50] some residual
[00:41:52] magic that
[00:41:53] happened to
[00:41:54] zane and
[00:41:55] why he's still
[00:41:55] able to do
[00:41:56] that but
[00:41:58] it did sound a
[00:41:59] little sinister
[00:42:00] when he said
[00:42:00] what he said
[00:42:02] but in bride
[00:42:03] it was very
[00:42:04] clear harrison
[00:42:06] man holy
[00:42:07] shit he was
[00:42:09] the stuff of
[00:42:09] nightmares as
[00:42:10] for children
[00:42:11] like if
[00:42:14] you're gonna
[00:42:14] make like
[00:42:16] night of
[00:42:17] living dummy
[00:42:17] three but
[00:42:18] make a
[00:42:19] puppet version
[00:42:19] or a
[00:42:20] human version
[00:42:20] of slappy
[00:42:22] in different
[00:42:22] parts and
[00:42:23] different scenes
[00:42:25] just do what
[00:42:26] bride did
[00:42:26] just throw
[00:42:28] in some
[00:42:28] big ass
[00:42:29] eyeballs on
[00:42:30] somebody and
[00:42:30] give them
[00:42:31] that jerry curl
[00:42:32] look
[00:42:33] that'd be more
[00:42:34] terrifying than
[00:42:35] actual dummy
[00:42:35] chasing me around
[00:42:36] the house
[00:42:37] just saying
[00:42:38] yeah i agree
[00:42:39] that's me
[00:42:41] bride of the
[00:42:41] living dummy
[00:42:42] number eight
[00:42:44] right well uh
[00:42:45] my number eight
[00:42:47] is girl who
[00:42:48] cried monster
[00:42:49] oh which is
[00:42:50] a uh classic
[00:42:51] story about
[00:42:53] uh a girl who
[00:42:54] cries monster of
[00:42:55] course but also
[00:42:56] happens to see
[00:42:57] her librarian
[00:42:58] it's the
[00:42:58] librarian right
[00:42:59] okay the
[00:43:01] librarian he's
[00:43:02] in his office
[00:43:03] and he's like
[00:43:04] consuming all
[00:43:05] these little
[00:43:05] creatures and
[00:43:06] she sees that
[00:43:07] he turns into
[00:43:08] this bug-eyed
[00:43:09] creature and
[00:43:10] she's like
[00:43:11] oh man i
[00:43:13] gotta cry
[00:43:13] monster so
[00:43:14] she does that
[00:43:15] and eventually
[00:43:16] it leads to
[00:43:16] the uh
[00:43:17] the librarian
[00:43:20] being led
[00:43:20] to her home
[00:43:21] to take her
[00:43:22] out only to
[00:43:23] find he's in
[00:43:25] the middle of
[00:43:25] an ambush by
[00:43:26] her parents
[00:43:27] who turn out
[00:43:28] to be monsters
[00:43:28] themselves
[00:43:29] and the monster
[00:43:30] parents just
[00:43:32] eat the hell
[00:43:33] out of uh
[00:43:34] the librarian
[00:43:35] and it's
[00:43:36] revealed that
[00:43:37] uh the
[00:43:38] parents are
[00:43:39] the red well
[00:43:39] actually the whole
[00:43:40] family are monsters
[00:43:41] i don't know if
[00:43:41] like the girl
[00:43:42] i guess the
[00:43:43] girl knew she
[00:43:44] was a monster
[00:43:44] she was just
[00:43:45] withholding that
[00:43:45] information i think
[00:43:46] she just withholds
[00:43:47] that information in
[00:43:48] the book so
[00:43:48] they're aware that
[00:43:49] they're monsters it's
[00:43:50] just there's this
[00:43:51] monster but she
[00:43:52] just doesn't know
[00:43:53] yeah when there's
[00:43:54] other monsters uh
[00:43:55] we need to make
[00:43:56] sure that we uh
[00:43:57] maintain our
[00:43:57] territory so we
[00:43:59] need to take out
[00:44:00] this uh competing
[00:44:01] monster so it's a
[00:44:02] it's a pretty crazy
[00:44:03] twist where how do
[00:44:05] we get the uh
[00:44:06] child out of the
[00:44:07] situation sometimes
[00:44:08] let's just they're
[00:44:10] they're like a
[00:44:10] monster or some uh
[00:44:12] worse thing the
[00:44:13] whole time i was
[00:44:15] like that kind of
[00:44:15] twist and then in
[00:44:16] the actual episode
[00:44:17] they what a reason
[00:44:19] her best friend shows
[00:44:20] up with like a
[00:44:22] mask on of a
[00:44:23] monster and she's
[00:44:24] like there's another
[00:44:25] one like she's so
[00:44:27] scared even though
[00:44:27] she saw her two
[00:44:28] parents just take
[00:44:29] out this guy like
[00:44:30] he was nothing but
[00:44:31] then the kid takes
[00:44:32] off his mask and
[00:44:33] the parents are like
[00:44:34] we were just
[00:44:35] having dinner
[00:44:37] we're about to
[00:44:38] have dessert
[00:44:39] no like what's
[00:44:41] for dessert
[00:44:42] yeah what the
[00:44:43] setup
[00:44:45] yeah it's just
[00:44:48] definitely gonna die
[00:44:50] he's definitely gonna
[00:44:51] die like for sure
[00:44:52] like all right um
[00:44:54] but yeah that's uh
[00:44:55] it's just a wild
[00:44:57] ending yeah that's
[00:44:58] that's my number
[00:44:59] yeah i agree
[00:45:00] the biggest twist
[00:45:01] ending was when the
[00:45:02] kid took the mask
[00:45:03] off and it was
[00:45:03] actually human
[00:45:04] i think that was
[00:45:05] the biggest twist
[00:45:07] the most terrifying
[00:45:08] thing of all
[00:45:09] what if he took his
[00:45:09] mask off and it
[00:45:10] was another it was
[00:45:11] another monster
[00:45:12] underneath
[00:45:14] oh god
[00:45:16] yeah
[00:45:16] it was mortman
[00:45:18] again
[00:45:18] he was like
[00:45:19] that was just
[00:45:22] you didn't eat
[00:45:23] me
[00:45:24] yeah
[00:45:24] you just ate a
[00:45:25] random person
[00:45:26] you ate your
[00:45:26] friend
[00:45:27] put your friend
[00:45:28] in a mortman
[00:45:29] mask
[00:45:30] what if what if
[00:45:31] the twist was that
[00:45:32] mortman actually was
[00:45:33] a human and there
[00:45:34] was just a monster
[00:45:35] that looked like him
[00:45:36] and then they ate
[00:45:37] the wrong one
[00:45:39] oh my god
[00:45:40] that would be
[00:45:41] messed up
[00:45:42] that's when you
[00:45:44] see yeah that
[00:45:45] the real mortman
[00:45:46] watching from the
[00:45:47] window as the
[00:45:47] other one just
[00:45:48] got eaten
[00:45:49] it's like oh
[00:45:50] that could have
[00:45:50] been awkward
[00:45:52] yeah i don't know
[00:45:52] if i think
[00:45:54] in the me
[00:45:54] i think in the
[00:45:55] book lucy says
[00:45:57] that like she
[00:45:57] knows she's a
[00:45:58] monster but i
[00:45:59] think they say
[00:46:00] they're like not
[00:46:00] fully formed yet
[00:46:02] because they like
[00:46:03] have to reach a
[00:46:04] certain age
[00:46:04] um
[00:46:06] that explains
[00:46:08] that why she
[00:46:09] couldn't like you
[00:46:10] know do the
[00:46:10] same thing but
[00:46:12] the parents are
[00:46:13] also just terrifying
[00:46:14] at the end i
[00:46:15] didn't even comment
[00:46:15] on that like
[00:46:16] we do see their
[00:46:18] monster form but
[00:46:19] just them with
[00:46:20] fangs is just
[00:46:21] so horrifying
[00:46:23] especially when
[00:46:23] they get close up
[00:46:24] i'm sorry i just
[00:46:26] needed to i just
[00:46:26] had that in my
[00:46:27] mind just now and
[00:46:28] i was no you're
[00:46:28] absolutely right
[00:46:29] well after they
[00:46:30] finish and like
[00:46:31] because you don't
[00:46:32] see their full
[00:46:32] form you can tell
[00:46:34] they're like almost
[00:46:34] snake reptile people
[00:46:36] like cobra people
[00:46:37] or something like
[00:46:38] that yeah yeah
[00:46:39] but it's obscured
[00:46:40] sort of like by how
[00:46:40] the camera is shot
[00:46:41] and the filter they
[00:46:42] put over it so
[00:46:43] it's a little more
[00:46:44] i think it's kind of
[00:46:45] maybe the tone down
[00:46:46] the terrifying nature
[00:46:48] of it all but
[00:46:49] afterwards they're
[00:46:50] like like wiping
[00:46:51] their face but they
[00:46:52] still have like the
[00:46:53] fangs and then
[00:46:54] their eyes are like
[00:46:55] really wide like
[00:46:56] they're just like
[00:46:58] you can never tell
[00:46:59] anyone that we
[00:47:00] are monsters and
[00:47:02] then they're being
[00:47:02] like at like
[00:47:03] they're just probably
[00:47:04] like
[00:47:07] man um yeah
[00:47:08] it's a good one
[00:47:09] that's like you
[00:47:10] you ask anybody
[00:47:11] about goosebumps
[00:47:12] ending that's
[00:47:13] probably going to
[00:47:13] be the one that
[00:47:14] they bring up
[00:47:14] that's like
[00:47:16] that's classic
[00:47:17] right there so
[00:47:18] i totally agree
[00:47:19] with that pick
[00:47:19] classic ending
[00:47:20] yeah
[00:47:20] my number seven
[00:47:22] is gonna be uh
[00:47:24] piano lessons can
[00:47:26] be murder
[00:47:27] and i put this
[00:47:28] one here
[00:47:29] because it scared
[00:47:30] the daylights out
[00:47:32] of me as a kid
[00:47:33] that ghost
[00:47:34] is freaky
[00:47:37] freaky ghost
[00:47:39] and especially
[00:47:40] so
[00:47:41] one thing after
[00:47:43] another mr toggle
[00:47:44] or not mr toggle
[00:47:45] uh dr shriek
[00:47:47] uh just loses
[00:47:49] his mind
[00:47:49] and he wants
[00:47:50] jerry's hands
[00:47:50] so now he's
[00:47:51] chasing him
[00:47:52] through the
[00:47:52] basement
[00:47:53] being like
[00:47:54] beautiful hands
[00:47:55] beautiful hands
[00:47:57] then it turns out
[00:47:58] he's a robot
[00:47:59] controlled by mr
[00:48:00] toggle
[00:48:01] but then it turns
[00:48:02] out that mr
[00:48:03] toggle's the one
[00:48:03] that actually wants
[00:48:04] jerry's hands
[00:48:05] and uh
[00:48:06] he's like
[00:48:07] to make beautiful
[00:48:08] music
[00:48:09] he's like
[00:48:09] hands are
[00:48:10] too hard to make
[00:48:11] too many
[00:48:12] working parts
[00:48:13] um
[00:48:14] he he sold
[00:48:15] that so good
[00:48:16] too like
[00:48:17] when he's
[00:48:17] holding onto
[00:48:18] his hands
[00:48:18] he's like
[00:48:18] they're exquisite
[00:48:19] like
[00:48:20] he was
[00:48:21] like people
[00:48:22] don't ever
[00:48:22] talk about
[00:48:22] that guy's
[00:48:23] performance man
[00:48:24] it is so
[00:48:24] good
[00:48:25] like
[00:48:25] dr shriek
[00:48:27] and mr
[00:48:27] toggle
[00:48:28] they're both
[00:48:29] like
[00:48:29] crazy really
[00:48:31] well
[00:48:31] like when
[00:48:31] they went
[00:48:32] nuts
[00:48:32] they went
[00:48:32] freaking
[00:48:33] nuts
[00:48:33] and then you
[00:48:34] have the
[00:48:34] hall of
[00:48:35] pianos
[00:48:36] with all
[00:48:36] the disembodied
[00:48:37] hands
[00:48:37] playing on
[00:48:38] them
[00:48:38] um
[00:48:39] and then
[00:48:40] the ghost
[00:48:41] that was
[00:48:41] appearing through
[00:48:42] the episode
[00:48:43] shows up
[00:48:43] and it
[00:48:43] turns out
[00:48:44] that she
[00:48:45] was mr
[00:48:45] toggle's
[00:48:46] piano teacher
[00:48:47] and she
[00:48:48] just ridicules
[00:48:49] him
[00:48:49] and is like
[00:48:49] you would
[00:48:50] have learned
[00:48:51] all your
[00:48:52] lessons if
[00:48:53] you
[00:48:53] practice
[00:48:54] and he's
[00:48:54] like i
[00:48:55] did i
[00:48:55] practice
[00:48:56] every day
[00:48:58] um
[00:48:58] and then
[00:48:59] she just
[00:49:00] this is where
[00:49:01] it gets like
[00:49:01] got really
[00:49:02] scary for me
[00:49:03] because she's
[00:49:04] like jerry's
[00:49:05] just on the
[00:49:05] floor he's
[00:49:06] just like
[00:49:07] what the
[00:49:07] hell is going
[00:49:08] on in front
[00:49:09] of me he
[00:49:09] like accidentally
[00:49:10] touches dr
[00:49:11] shriek and
[00:49:11] he's like
[00:49:13] um
[00:49:14] but she's
[00:49:15] like it's
[00:49:15] time for
[00:49:16] your lesson
[00:49:16] and she
[00:49:17] just backs
[00:49:17] him into
[00:49:17] the dark
[00:49:18] and jerry
[00:49:19] runs out
[00:49:20] to his
[00:49:20] parents car
[00:49:21] and there's
[00:49:21] like sheets
[00:49:23] flying out
[00:49:23] of the door
[00:49:24] the camera's
[00:49:25] going nuts
[00:49:25] and then all
[00:49:26] of a sudden
[00:49:26] the ghost
[00:49:27] comes out
[00:49:27] from the
[00:49:28] door
[00:49:28] and it's
[00:49:29] just like
[00:49:29] nightmares
[00:49:30] up close
[00:49:31] that gave
[00:49:31] me nightmares
[00:49:32] when it's
[00:49:33] right in front
[00:49:34] of the camera
[00:49:34] yeah like
[00:49:35] that that
[00:49:35] gave me
[00:49:36] actual nightmares
[00:49:37] when it's
[00:49:37] horrifying
[00:49:38] hated it
[00:49:39] um and
[00:49:41] then jerry's
[00:49:42] telling uh
[00:49:43] the girl he's
[00:49:44] like you know
[00:49:45] the therapist
[00:49:46] says my parents
[00:49:47] will be okay
[00:49:47] if they just
[00:49:48] talk about it
[00:49:48] he says i'm
[00:49:49] just i'm just
[00:49:50] like my house
[00:49:51] is ghost free
[00:49:51] and then you
[00:49:53] see that the
[00:49:53] school is like
[00:49:54] really run down
[00:49:55] and inside is
[00:49:57] just the ghost
[00:49:58] like pacing back
[00:49:59] and forth and
[00:50:00] mr toggle's just
[00:50:01] practicing on the
[00:50:02] piano and
[00:50:03] that's how it
[00:50:03] ends is like
[00:50:05] how much
[00:50:05] longer he's
[00:50:07] like till
[00:50:07] eternity
[00:50:08] you lazy
[00:50:10] yeah forever
[00:50:11] really forever
[00:50:12] it's creepy
[00:50:14] that is a
[00:50:14] creepy creepy
[00:50:15] episode
[00:50:16] underrated
[00:50:17] episode by
[00:50:18] far
[00:50:18] i love it
[00:50:21] it's in my
[00:50:21] top 10
[00:50:22] episodes of
[00:50:23] all time
[00:50:23] it's just
[00:50:24] it's so
[00:50:24] good and
[00:50:25] and i mean
[00:50:26] what what
[00:50:27] can you expect
[00:50:28] less i mean
[00:50:28] it's it's
[00:50:29] season one
[00:50:29] you know
[00:50:30] season one
[00:50:30] was where
[00:50:30] they really
[00:50:31] tried to
[00:50:32] make the
[00:50:32] show more
[00:50:33] scary and
[00:50:33] they really
[00:50:34] and i'm so
[00:50:35] glad that
[00:50:35] episode
[00:50:36] could you
[00:50:36] imagine if
[00:50:37] that episode
[00:50:37] had been made
[00:50:38] later like
[00:50:39] maybe season
[00:50:39] two three i feel
[00:50:40] like it wouldn't
[00:50:41] have been as good
[00:50:41] somehow i think it
[00:50:42] was meant to be in
[00:50:43] season one
[00:50:44] it wouldn't have
[00:50:44] had that balance a
[00:50:46] bit more creepy
[00:50:47] season one was way
[00:50:48] more focused on the
[00:50:49] creepy aspects like it
[00:50:50] really let things likeseanly
[00:50:52] play out uh so it really
[00:50:54] stuck the landing on a
[00:50:55] lot of those scares because
[00:50:56] it had time
[00:50:57] to build it up season
[00:50:58] two went a little
[00:51:00] crazier it
[00:51:01] wasn't as much time to
[00:51:02] breathe in some parts
[00:51:03] um
[00:51:04] there's a couple
[00:51:04] episodes in season
[00:51:05] two that were
[00:51:06] creepy like they
[00:51:07] like welcome to
[00:51:08] dead house is
[00:51:09] easily like probably
[00:51:10] the scariest season
[00:51:11] two episode um
[00:51:13] you know and then
[00:51:14] like one of us too i
[00:51:15] would say was creepy
[00:51:15] as well like there
[00:51:16] was a few in season
[00:51:17] two but not many
[00:51:19] there was only a
[00:51:20] handful of genuinely
[00:51:22] creepy episodes but
[00:51:23] um yeah i think
[00:51:24] piano lessons is
[00:51:25] maybe not the
[00:51:26] scariest episode per
[00:51:27] se but it's
[00:51:28] definitely the
[00:51:29] creepiest and i
[00:51:30] think it's one of
[00:51:31] the best endings of
[00:51:32] the entire show so
[00:51:33] it makes my number
[00:51:34] seven piano lessons
[00:51:36] yeah i think so
[00:51:37] it's it's it's
[00:51:38] fantastic well my
[00:51:39] number seven is uh
[00:51:41] perfect school we've
[00:51:43] already uh covered
[00:51:44] that one i love this
[00:51:45] episode so much um
[00:51:48] and not just like you
[00:51:50] know the story and
[00:51:52] that you know the
[00:51:52] way it's shot and
[00:51:53] like the twist ending
[00:51:54] obviously that's what
[00:51:55] we're talking about
[00:51:55] but i just i love the
[00:51:56] actors too i think
[00:51:58] they all play their
[00:51:58] part really well um
[00:52:00] you know i think the
[00:52:01] the principal the dean
[00:52:02] or whoever you want
[00:52:02] to call him like i
[00:52:03] think he's actually
[00:52:04] quite creepy in a
[00:52:05] sense too um but
[00:52:06] yeah no i think this
[00:52:07] had a really great
[00:52:08] ending um you know
[00:52:10] because obviously you
[00:52:11] you really do think
[00:52:12] that like oh no
[00:52:13] they're all locked
[00:52:13] up even the way he's
[00:52:14] holding onto the bars
[00:52:15] at the end he's just
[00:52:17] kind of looking like
[00:52:18] he's got that
[00:52:18] expression like oh
[00:52:19] yeah that's him you
[00:52:20] know he's obviously
[00:52:21] been trapped and but
[00:52:22] then obviously right
[00:52:24] at the end when
[00:52:25] obviously his brother
[00:52:26] walks into the bedroom
[00:52:27] and he's got the
[00:52:28] chair glue to his
[00:52:29] to his ass
[00:52:31] and he's just like
[00:52:32] oh you know and
[00:52:32] he's just like who
[00:52:33] would do something
[00:52:34] like that on purpose
[00:52:35] you know what's
[00:52:36] better they're like
[00:52:37] wait a minute wait
[00:52:37] a minute it's him
[00:52:39] he got out you
[00:52:41] know like at that
[00:52:42] moment that no he
[00:52:43] got out you know
[00:52:44] and he's gonna and
[00:52:45] he like puts it in
[00:52:46] his little drawer like
[00:52:46] the super glue and
[00:52:47] you're like yep okay
[00:52:49] so i i like that i
[00:52:50] think it's a really it's
[00:52:51] a really good twist
[00:52:52] at me really it is
[00:52:53] it's fantastic
[00:52:54] honestly um perfect
[00:52:56] number seven um
[00:52:58] definitely yep
[00:52:59] nick uh headless ghost
[00:53:03] it's my number seven
[00:53:07] um while i actually
[00:53:09] really do enjoy the
[00:53:09] episode i i don't know
[00:53:11] exactly where it would
[00:53:12] rank for me but at
[00:53:13] least on endings it's
[00:53:14] definitely number seven
[00:53:16] um because like we
[00:53:17] talked about in a
[00:53:18] previous episode i
[00:53:19] really enjoy that
[00:53:21] uh sea captain just
[00:53:24] at the very end with
[00:53:26] the people trying to
[00:53:27] like sell that house
[00:53:29] but as he looks
[00:53:30] around before he
[00:53:30] closes that door he
[00:53:31] looks right at you
[00:53:33] knowing very well he's
[00:53:35] breaking the fourth
[00:53:35] wall but this isn't
[00:53:37] deadpool folks this is
[00:53:39] goosebumps
[00:53:40] he's looking right at
[00:53:41] you kind of smiles and
[00:53:44] then goes inside and
[00:53:45] closes the door and
[00:53:45] then that's when the
[00:53:46] door knocker kind of
[00:53:47] like the eyes light up
[00:53:48] and someone's like
[00:53:49] damn so i really
[00:53:51] enjoyed that ending uh
[00:53:53] for the headless ghost
[00:53:54] what makes you wonder
[00:53:55] too like how much time
[00:53:57] passed between like when
[00:53:59] duane and stephanie
[00:54:01] escaped and that ending
[00:54:02] because it's like the
[00:54:03] house is all run down and
[00:54:05] they're talking about
[00:54:05] like you know we we
[00:54:07] we heard they used to
[00:54:08] give tours here so it's
[00:54:09] like how long has it
[00:54:10] been so like was it
[00:54:14] always like that was
[00:54:15] it normally say do they
[00:54:18] yeah i don't know
[00:54:20] yeah you gotta imagine
[00:54:22] at least 10 plus years
[00:54:25] at that point i would
[00:54:26] think but it's hard to
[00:54:29] say without actually
[00:54:31] going through and i
[00:54:32] don't know if the book
[00:54:32] ever said like anything
[00:54:35] about under the
[00:54:36] imagination
[00:54:36] since i've read the
[00:54:39] book uh but yeah
[00:54:41] that's uh
[00:54:43] that's a good question
[00:54:44] but still regardless i
[00:54:45] mean even if it was
[00:54:46] only like five years
[00:54:47] because maybe that
[00:54:48] incident
[00:54:49] that night with them
[00:54:50] caused the museum to
[00:54:52] close
[00:54:54] i'm not really sure what
[00:54:55] would cause it to close
[00:54:56] because
[00:54:56] i mean they escaped
[00:54:58] once they were just
[00:55:00] spreading
[00:55:01] all that information out
[00:55:03] there for people don't
[00:55:04] go here it's haunted
[00:55:04] they'll kill you but
[00:55:07] then again if you do
[00:55:08] that these again in the
[00:55:09] goosebumps world nobody
[00:55:10] listens to kids anyway
[00:55:12] so you know people are
[00:55:13] gonna go regardless
[00:55:15] well i've always said
[00:55:17] that i even said that
[00:55:18] in our top five scariest
[00:55:19] episodes because that
[00:55:20] made my list i believe
[00:55:21] that was number four for
[00:55:23] me that ending chase is
[00:55:26] terrifying it's super
[00:55:28] super tense and you got
[00:55:29] the sea captain chasing
[00:55:30] him and just screaming
[00:55:32] screaming and screaming
[00:55:33] screaming um and then
[00:55:34] yeah they just run and
[00:55:35] you can still hear him
[00:55:36] screaming from inside it's
[00:55:37] terrifying ending so uh
[00:55:40] yeah i agree with your
[00:55:41] pick
[00:55:41] definitely
[00:55:42] say what do you got for
[00:55:44] number seven
[00:55:44] all right my number seven
[00:55:46] or uh favorite episode
[00:55:49] endings is phantom of the
[00:55:50] auditorium
[00:55:52] just because i like the fact
[00:55:54] that it seems like it's
[00:55:55] just a straightforward
[00:55:56] nancy drew hardy boy
[00:55:58] scooby-doo mystery where
[00:55:59] it's just a bunch of teen
[00:56:01] sleuths just sort of
[00:56:02] investigating their school
[00:56:04] after hours and they just
[00:56:05] find like there's just
[00:56:07] essentially the plot is
[00:56:08] there's just a a knockoff
[00:56:10] of the phantom of the
[00:56:11] opera haunting their
[00:56:12] auditorium and like causing
[00:56:14] havoc and then they like
[00:56:16] find a meth lab at the end
[00:56:18] being run by like a
[00:56:19] homeless guy who was just
[00:56:21] living in the school and
[00:56:23] they are just arrest him he
[00:56:24] was he had like a very in
[00:56:25] the in the in the book he
[00:56:27] wasn't wearing a costume but
[00:56:29] in the episode they have
[00:56:30] them like dress up in this
[00:56:31] like really really crackhead
[00:56:34] sort of looking uh sort of
[00:56:37] looking uh phantom of the
[00:56:38] opera costume that was not
[00:56:40] the costume we see earlier
[00:56:41] but we were we're we're
[00:56:43] content with this ending of
[00:56:44] oh it was just this homeless
[00:56:45] guy who was living in the
[00:56:46] basement all right man walter
[00:56:48] white you just wanted to
[00:56:50] scare off the kids but then
[00:56:52] yeah yeah it was walter white
[00:56:53] but then they do they go on
[00:56:56] with the show that they were
[00:56:58] they were running and then
[00:56:59] like jesse comes for revenge
[00:57:01] but no they they go on with
[00:57:02] the show that they were
[00:57:03] running and um it turns out
[00:57:06] like the new kid that came
[00:57:07] into town was actually a ghost
[00:57:09] the whole time and died during
[00:57:12] a showing of they don't call it
[00:57:14] the phantom of the opera they
[00:57:15] just call it the phantom but
[00:57:17] it's very obviously the phantom
[00:57:18] of the opera i guess because
[00:57:20] rl stein was afraid of getting
[00:57:22] sued for a public domain uh
[00:57:24] story but uh just call it the
[00:57:26] phantom but um but then they
[00:57:29] just go through this like uh this
[00:57:32] uh photo album like a yearbook
[00:57:34] from like a hundred years ago and
[00:57:36] it says wait he was he was he was
[00:57:39] at this school the whole time he
[00:57:41] was lying about being a new kid
[00:57:42] mm-hmm hate that guy but yeah that
[00:57:45] was it's just a solid ending and
[00:57:48] he died scooby-doo ending to a
[00:57:50] goosebumps ending so he died by
[00:57:52] falling down that shaft which is
[00:57:54] like not that's not a short way
[00:57:56] down so that's like really gruesome
[00:57:58] um yeah the the effects are uh very
[00:58:02] very 90s very 90s as he uh falls to
[00:58:05] hell it's also implied he goes to
[00:58:07] hell like this little ghost boy
[00:58:10] doesn't get to go to heaven it's
[00:58:12] not a casper ending where uh it's
[00:58:14] like the mom is is it comes down from
[00:58:17] heaven no he this kid goes straight
[00:58:18] to hell so you know it's actually
[00:58:21] quite
[00:58:24] it was definitely tweaked in the
[00:58:26] stage adaptation uh the musical
[00:58:29] version because uh the phantom is a
[00:58:32] very much more sympathetic character
[00:58:34] and it is exactly that ending it's
[00:58:36] sort of the casper asking now i'm
[00:58:37] gonna go to heaven all i wanted to do
[00:58:39] was perform so now i'm gonna cross
[00:58:41] over now and this one he's like no he
[00:58:43] just went right to hell he was evil
[00:58:45] all the time goosebumps was just a
[00:58:48] gateway for kids horror to hell
[00:58:49] remember i see those images all the
[00:58:51] time where it's like it was gateway
[00:58:53] to hell should have done it like uh
[00:58:54] drag me to hell at the end but
[00:58:57] instead of the girl it's the phantom
[00:58:59] that's so freaky that ending man
[00:59:02] justin long's face when she gets
[00:59:04] dragged down every movie justin long
[00:59:07] is in i swear he just suffers yeah yeah
[00:59:10] he's good in horror man he he is good
[00:59:14] in horror movies justin long he either
[00:59:17] comedy that guy just is one of those
[00:59:21] two you know and also goosebumps he can
[00:59:23] do horror comedies yeah you can do a
[00:59:25] horror comedy something about justin
[00:59:27] long i don't know horror or comedy
[00:59:29] yeah i mean he was in uh obviously one
[00:59:31] of the diehards which was one of the
[00:59:33] good ones to die hard for i think it
[00:59:34] was
[00:59:35] live free and die hard i think i'd say
[00:59:38] it's the top fourth one no yeah it's
[00:59:41] the top four is one yeah it was good
[00:59:43] the top four was good die hard what
[00:59:45] about live soft
[00:59:50] live soft
[00:59:52] that's what happens to you in old age
[00:59:54] isaiah you'll you'll learn you'll live
[00:59:56] soft
[00:59:57] oh you're funny
[01:00:01] oh you with the jokes
[01:00:04] yeah that's when you have to incorporate
[01:00:06] the matrix and get a blue pill
[01:00:10] oh we're just full laughs today aren't
[01:00:13] we
[01:00:13] yeah well moving on to my number six
[01:00:17] is actually going to be don't wake
[01:00:19] mummy
[01:00:21] now this episode is creepy in a lot of
[01:00:23] places but this ending
[01:00:24] is both creepy and just hilarious to me
[01:00:27] they set up earlier that the mummy in
[01:00:31] his case also has his cat in there
[01:00:34] um but it's just kind of like a
[01:00:37] a brushed aside thing i think the only
[01:00:39] thing that comes from it at that time
[01:00:41] is just like
[01:00:41] you think they put his pet in here so
[01:00:43] he wouldn't get lonely
[01:00:44] and it's never brought up again
[01:00:46] until the end
[01:00:47] when uh he opens up the door because
[01:00:49] he hears a cat meowing
[01:00:51] and there's the mummy cat with its
[01:00:53] glowing green eyes just sitting there
[01:00:55] and it just attacks and that's how the
[01:00:58] episode ends
[01:00:59] so
[01:00:59] i mean there's not really much to that
[01:01:02] ending i will also mention um the very
[01:01:05] gruesome way they kill this mummy
[01:01:07] because they're talking about the heart
[01:01:10] in the jar
[01:01:11] the jar has his heart and then it gets
[01:01:13] thrown into the the sink where the
[01:01:15] garbage disposal is
[01:01:16] and that's how they kill the mummy they
[01:01:18] grind his heart in the garbage disposal
[01:01:21] the dust
[01:01:22] and then uh yeah and then the mummy just
[01:01:25] turns to dust
[01:01:26] so i mean i i always was like because
[01:01:29] it's beating too it's like that's kind of
[01:01:31] gory for a kid show to like actually
[01:01:33] so yeah that's right
[01:01:34] a beating heart even if it's like
[01:01:37] you know an undead mummy heart it's
[01:01:39] still
[01:01:39] like an organ uh that they you know
[01:01:43] grind into little pieces so
[01:01:45] oh yeah
[01:01:46] um
[01:01:46] it's a really good episode again another
[01:01:49] underrated one personally for me i i think
[01:01:51] don't like mummy is an underrated episode
[01:01:53] uh but i really return of the mummy
[01:01:55] which is crazy
[01:01:56] like how is don't wake the mummy
[01:01:59] creepier and like more put together than
[01:02:02] return of the mummy you would think
[01:02:03] and that was like shot on a set with
[01:02:05] like like they were actually in egypt
[01:02:07] you know it's like what the hell
[01:02:08] i think it goes back to what we were
[01:02:10] talking about with stay out of the
[01:02:11] basement i think it was what you brought
[01:02:13] up said it's just like the idea of the
[01:02:15] horror being in your house your
[01:02:17] your domain um a mummy being in your
[01:02:20] basement and i talked about this again
[01:02:22] in uh our our top five scariest
[01:02:24] episodes um that that shot where the
[01:02:28] mom's about to go downstairs and then
[01:02:30] it cuts to
[01:02:31] uh the shot of the stairs with the mummy
[01:02:33] coming up them
[01:02:35] like is haunting and he's just like
[01:02:37] moaning as he like crawls up that's
[01:02:40] like horrifying to have something like
[01:02:43] that
[01:02:43] even if it wasn't going to come alive
[01:02:45] it's like why do you want an undead like
[01:02:47] a dead
[01:02:48] rotting corpse in your basement
[01:02:50] get that get it even just a shot where
[01:02:52] they open the coffin and just his face
[01:02:55] looks freaky just when he's just laying
[01:02:58] makes me think uh makes me think
[01:03:01] dommer
[01:03:02] yeah
[01:03:02] oh
[01:03:03] just
[01:03:03] me
[01:03:06] no
[01:03:07] dommer keep
[01:03:07] mummies in his basement
[01:03:08] i just had some meat go bad
[01:03:10] yet again ladies and gentlemen i don't
[01:03:12] know how we went from goosebumps to
[01:03:14] jeffrey dommer so
[01:03:16] isn't he one of the brothers though
[01:03:18] you talking about that jeffrey dommer
[01:03:19] lives in my basement that's a that's
[01:03:21] one of the that's the unroleased
[01:03:22] 60 days
[01:03:23] all right i'll say my number six so
[01:03:27] we can keep moving just telling the
[01:03:28] neighbor
[01:03:29] yeah don't wake mummy that's my
[01:03:31] number six i i just gotta say that
[01:03:33] that mummy cat uh is awesome and uh i
[01:03:37] love that i just love either endings
[01:03:39] that just floor you with how crazy they
[01:03:41] are or just having an undead ghoul just
[01:03:44] pop up and just attack the viewer at
[01:03:47] the very last minute uh seem to be my
[01:03:49] favorite endings so uh yeah don't
[01:03:51] like mummy is my number six
[01:03:53] number six is one we've already said
[01:03:56] the house of no return uh this ending
[01:04:01] like we've said is it's it's terrifying
[01:04:05] imagine being in that situation because
[01:04:07] that's how i try to picture it like
[01:04:09] when i watch goosebumps episodes i try to
[01:04:11] put myself in the shoes of that kid or
[01:04:14] you know whoever and that situation i
[01:04:17] don't like at all like knowing i'm
[01:04:20] gonna be trapped in this place like this
[01:04:21] house forever this creepy abandoned
[01:04:23] house with these two ghosts you know
[01:04:25] what i mean and what's to say they
[01:04:27] knock that house well here's the thing
[01:04:28] what happens to those kids at the end
[01:04:30] because obviously we don't know exactly
[01:04:32] what happens other than the fact they're
[01:04:33] just going to be trapped forever but i
[01:04:34] guess you know it's you know leaving
[01:04:36] it up to the imagination after that point
[01:04:38] but i just think yeah it's such a
[01:04:41] disturbing creepy idea you know like
[01:04:44] that you're going to be trapped in this
[01:04:45] place for all eternity no matter what
[01:04:47] you know you just can't escape and uh i
[01:04:50] think i don't know no bills no jab
[01:04:57] yeah yeah play all day yeah let's play
[01:05:02] all day no school no party all night
[01:05:06] ghost parents that's right
[01:05:08] they might be cool ghost parents they might lay out buffets for them and
[01:05:12] the goosebumps does not condone going off with ghosts
[01:05:15] are they gonna whoop you
[01:05:17] go get the ghost paddle and whoop you i don't think so
[01:05:20] kids do not leave your parents to go live with ghosts
[01:05:23] i think it's a really good ending um i think it's very creepy
[01:05:26] it's it's very creepy twist in the goosebumps world so that makes my number six i know we've
[01:05:33] covered it but yeah slots in near nick well my number six we've covered two which
[01:05:40] was welcome to camp nightmare so i'll keep it short on that one we all know what happens
[01:05:45] we all talked about it it's ain't the first time either but you know i do love me some uh
[01:05:51] some good twist endings and the fact they're not human pretty good ending
[01:05:56] mm-hmm it is a good ending i agree they point to earth literally you can see in the background they're like
[01:06:03] yeah you can see it they're just like a place
[01:06:06] which if you're that close and you're on a habitable planet like that like how did humans not know
[01:06:12] you know what i mean like yeah unless they just have like the most
[01:06:15] bitching telescope on their whole planet to see earth from so far away
[01:06:21] well yeah i just don't understand like maybe it's like a dwarf point where are they from
[01:06:27] from from the moon the mars what are they at where are they at
[01:06:34] god damn
[01:06:38] don't get it but that was my number six all right my number six haunted mask one
[01:06:45] which of course featured a bunch of uh
[01:06:49] you know of course the story we all know it's the first friggin episode of course so
[01:06:55] you have carly beth at the end she's trying to dispose of the haunted mask that is uh
[01:07:00] venom-ing her i guess sort of turning her into a monster
[01:07:04] and uh unbeknownst to her these other masks or
[01:07:09] they want to uh be with carly beth forever so she's chased by these uh various ghostly masks and
[01:07:16] it's a really creepy visual just saying these just disembodied masks approaching you in the
[01:07:23] middle of the night as a kid but uh she gets out of that situation okay and she goes home and she ends
[01:07:31] up uh sort of confronted by her little brother saying carly beth why are you still wearing that mask
[01:07:37] it's like oh oh and she looks in the mirror and she's fine but uh then she discovers when she's
[01:07:44] then she discovers when she's looking away her brother has put on the mask and it's like
[01:07:50] whoa oh he is screwed he's totally screwed they're not gonna do a sequel story where it turns out he just
[01:07:57] takes it off no he's got he's the new host but then they just took it back but still a cool ending
[01:08:03] where you're like oh man it's continuing but then uh it kind of it kind of does but it kind of doesn't
[01:08:11] uh but uh it looked like it had actually stuck to his face too at the end of the episode because you
[01:08:19] know how like when she puts in that first time you can still see her eyes and everything but like when
[01:08:23] it goes on to noah like uh like on his face like you can see it looks like it's actually like taken a
[01:08:32] hold of him like the eyes have changed it's sucked in his face and you're like hang on a minute though
[01:08:37] this is only one time like he's only put it on once unless he snuck it on previously you know when
[01:08:43] she's far weaker i'm far more vulnerable to the to the mask right maybe younger and well not at the
[01:08:52] same time i mean she just took it off within that hour maybe it still had a lot of for lack of a
[01:09:02] better term here juice uh mask to uh some brain juice brain juice to possess its host a little quicker
[01:09:13] who knows i'm not really sure there's not there's not enough about the unloved ones that's known
[01:09:18] unfortunately wore that duck costume that was the moral of the story they ended on that should have
[01:09:23] been the sequel is that the duck costume uh latches onto her and it turns into a duck
[01:09:31] he should have he should have went with that yep missed out how the ending to the first one should
[01:09:35] have been it should have been that duck mask floating up in the air and the man like you
[01:09:42] you bitch and ended the in the whole episode you bitch man well yeah the second one they were just
[01:09:52] like yeah that ending so creepy in fact as we've mentioned before uh and catherine long confirmed
[01:09:59] they were originally supposed to have a scene after that where uh carl beth just screams and screams
[01:10:04] and screams and that was going to be the end of the episode but the network thought it was going to be
[01:10:08] too scary so they cut it um but she told us they they did shoot it and she did scream like her
[01:10:13] freaking head off i didn't mention is they in the in the prime time cut of the episode they they cut to
[01:10:21] rl stein hosting it he's just like dead bitch just like see that wasn't so scary was it kids look at my
[01:10:27] parents i think it was the one with the parents and yeah yeah yeah they're like hairs all all mom dad
[01:10:34] what do you think and then yeah they got this beetle i love it i love rl stein's appearances
[01:10:40] on the show for the uh host segments because he's just so flat like he's even when he's like supposed
[01:10:46] to be scared in some of the segments he's like oh what's going on like what he's just he just
[01:10:52] can't act his way out of a bag but i was gonna bring up tear tower just like yeah that's funny
[01:11:01] said something that was really like spot on and i never thought about it until she said it
[01:11:07] and because she had met stein when she did the episode of course but and after she met she's like
[01:11:14] he's kind of like a creepy mr rogers and i wouldn't a thousand percent agree like
[01:11:21] because mr rogers kind of had that flat monotone kind of voice too it was just a bit more
[01:11:26] like warm and inviting we're like stein's is a bit more on the creepy side of it yeah so like he
[01:11:34] can't act to save his life but it's just like that's who he is every day like like hello neighbor
[01:11:40] i'm rl stein yeah right exactly oh man top five now this is like this is where we're getting into
[01:11:50] like the real real that's the real good you think so but then you'll find out what my top
[01:11:57] my number five is and you'll be like okay that's not yeah i might have to add to that because my
[01:12:02] number five is going to be deep trouble really i cannot explain why i love this so much
[01:12:13] but number one i just love ritter getting a taste literally getting a taste of his own medicine
[01:12:20] um so they obviously they they find they tell all the fish people that hey you know it's not
[01:12:26] you know dr deep's fault that you're all mutated like this it's ritter's fault
[01:12:31] and uh they're kind of won over pretty quickly they're just like they kind of huddle together
[01:12:36] and they're just like all right let's go get ritter um but i just love that ritter is packing
[01:12:43] up and he sees like the slime and he's just like no you're not gonna get me you're not gonna get me
[01:12:49] and he tries to run away and then they catch up with him at the boat and they're like hello dr
[01:12:53] ritter going somewhere and then it just pans to all like the fish people like it's i really like
[01:13:00] those designs but yeah this episode ends yeah so it's a good ending it is a good ending um but it
[01:13:09] leads to a great ending shot where apparently ritter is now in a freak show as the the fish man
[01:13:17] is like that woman being like see the fish man half man half fish and everyone's in there they're just
[01:13:24] like that looks so fake uh but then you see it and it's just ritter and he's in this big tank and
[01:13:29] he's got like gills on his face you're just like and i don't know why i just i i love it not as big
[01:13:36] as that giant chameleon oh my god yeah i i don't know it's just that episode that's such a great again
[01:13:45] i i mentioned this when we ranked the two-parter episodes but i like deep trouble because of how
[01:13:51] much of a 50s b movie it feels like in the effects and the sort of like just the execution of all the
[01:13:58] different monsters and the giant animals it just has that 50s movie sort of vibe and that's definitely
[01:14:03] uh present in the very ending too so not much to say there i just really like it um and it gets a
[01:14:11] laugh out of me every time so my number five is deep trouble well my number five is going to be just a
[01:14:17] an answer because we've covered it multiple times already so we'll just we'll just say it and then
[01:14:22] move on you know we'll just we'll just say it and move on uh welcome to camp nightmare my favorite
[01:14:26] goosebumps episode of all time uh and as an ending it's number five so uh moving on nick we have
[01:14:33] covered that one well and truly that's fair that's fair um this is where it started to get tough
[01:14:42] because as we're doing that something's like man that's a good ending that's a good ending
[01:14:46] that's good ending it's like but do you think they're scary endings that's uh that's another
[01:14:51] thing to try to factor in here so when it came down to it i had to put the haunt of mass 2 at number
[01:14:58] five because it's a good ending could be considered scary to some but i actually really just really
[01:15:05] enjoy the ending um so the fact that you get that really i guess uh like the really nice cathartic
[01:15:13] scene of them burning the masks in the fire which saddened me as a kid saddens me to this day uh
[01:15:19] seeing those masks get set on fire it's like oh my god why even though it was bad cg and then
[01:15:27] it's like okay they're now to the point where they feel like i guess adults and they can move on
[01:15:33] from trick-or-treating and too old for halloween quote unquote which is a bunch of bullshit you're
[01:15:39] never too old for halloween don't listen to them kids uh if you're 90 years old and you're in a
[01:15:44] costume you come to my door and say trick-or-treat you're getting candy so
[01:15:50] when the fact that the dog takes the haunted mask and then takes it outside and buries it but it's
[01:15:57] still alive it's still moving it's like there's still hope the old man mask is done apparently
[01:16:02] i don't know why that one's so strong compared to the other unloved ones though but it survived fire
[01:16:08] and it survived the dog you know basically taking it like a chew toy and then burying it so
[01:16:16] but kudos to the mask haunted mask three baby we're gonna get haunted mask three hey if only you
[01:16:23] know i like the premise that katherine threw out there you know about her coming back and then as
[01:16:29] carly beth but then like it's about her daughter and the mask the mask coming back trying now take over
[01:16:34] her daughter and i'm all i'm all for that story well this time it could be different it could be
[01:16:41] carly beth is the mom but it's her son it's a boy instead of a girl so we can flip you know so now it's
[01:16:48] actually a yeah but hey yeah she said she's down to do it so if for whatever reason they ever decided
[01:16:56] she's available so you're watching this disney plus which i highly doubt
[01:17:03] yeah for long since you should come back let's do this yeah we got my number five
[01:17:10] my number five is click the classic adam sandler comedy but no the actually the goosebumps story of
[01:17:17] the same name that adam sandler watched and was like let's make a yeah he totally ripped that off
[01:17:24] but essentially uh essentially the kid has this remote that gives him godlike powers and he begins
[01:17:31] to abuse it and he eventually is like told by uh the entity that has provided him with this remote
[01:17:38] that uh the continued abuse of this remote will uh come with consequences he's told this over like the
[01:17:44] phone back when like a i guess a public school could have like uh a pay phone in the hallways uh
[01:17:50] that's definitely a dated aspect of the episode but uh he eventually gets uh confronted by his friend
[01:17:57] and it looks like shit's about to get real where this the the main character is gonna like i guess maybe
[01:18:04] call him buying his friend at school with this remote that has powers and he he can't do it it's out of
[01:18:12] it's out of juice and he ends up like trapped in this dark realm pulled by like this uh the the salesman
[01:18:20] of the remote that uh you're you're you're basically screwed kid there's nothing we can do you're you're
[01:18:26] trapped here and he's just like i just need some batteries and he just fades into like nothingness
[01:18:31] it's yeah he's gonna i don't even know what you what happens to you when you're trapped in a void like
[01:18:37] that do you just starve to death are you like immortal and you're just trapped for all existence
[01:18:42] it's just kind of up in the air or imagine you're a skeleton but you're still hungry
[01:18:50] so like you go eternity yeah hungry but you can't die oh you're just malnourished that's a great ending
[01:18:57] that's a good twist ending i didn't even think about that one because like yeah and even like when um
[01:19:03] you know like when he like walks away after he's been trapped in the void and he says oh i hope you
[01:19:08] enjoyed the drone xg da da da he kind of like pixelates as he disappears and i'm like and then when he
[01:19:14] says i just need some batteries you're like oh man this kid's just gonna become a skeleton like he's
[01:19:18] like i think that's actually a fucking good way two weeks later and you just see a floating skeleton
[01:19:25] they should have a scene like that in the adam sandler movie yeah right uh that's hardly ripped
[01:19:35] actually i want to do bring up the like briefly the adam sandler click ending where it's just a
[01:19:41] dream and he wakes up in the bed bath and beyond and he's just told by christmas walk in yeah it was
[01:19:45] it was it was nothing he just learns to not like it's such a cop-out ending he just learns you know i
[01:19:52] need to like uh just appreciate the now instead of like trying to fast forward like yeah trying out
[01:19:59] the pause again that movie is making the rounds again because like when it came out not many
[01:20:06] people really liked it um oddly when click came out but i mean for some reason in the last two years
[01:20:12] some people say i was like you know this is better than some of his other recent movies when it
[01:20:17] came out it made me cry that's one thing that movie did do it made me cry it's like a stupid comedy at
[01:20:25] many points especially the first half but when it gets to the second half it does start to shift a
[01:20:30] little bit so i'd say it's sort of it's it tugs on your heartstrings for sure and yeah in an effective
[01:20:36] way yeah the freaking scene with henry winkler like when he's trying to do a point trick and he turned
[01:20:42] wow that is soul crushing that's the scene i cry like i i that acting was 10 out of 10 man like
[01:20:51] 11 out of 10 sorry um yeah and there's a lot of uh reaction videos online now like i said because
[01:20:58] it's making the rounds and people seem to say like this movie's a lot sadder than i remember like
[01:21:02] you know and it really is yes it was a less if it was a less subtle adam sandler movie you'd just
[01:21:09] be like dad yeah it could have been like if it didn't have like goofy comedy stuff at the beginning
[01:21:16] it could have been a really solid like film you know what i mean like it could have been um i feel
[01:21:23] like maybe there's a different cut maybe there's a schneider cut out there
[01:21:32] black and white
[01:21:36] and uh and uh what is it dark side shows up at the end
[01:21:46] moving on to my number four is going to be it came from beneath the sink um again totally out of
[01:21:53] nowhere um but it is foreshadowed so um they defeat the sponge they find out that it's uh its power is
[01:22:02] weakened by being really nice so they just kind of tell a bunch of compliments so and it just shrinks
[01:22:06] and then cast is the same uh species as pennywise yeah so yeah except this one doesn't turn into like a
[01:22:14] pancake head and uh and you know have like oh yeah it's like little pancake head deformed penis
[01:22:20] yeah um but uh yeah so cat ends up keeping it as like a pet and she puts like little headphones on
[01:22:28] it and i swear the thing starts like doing a little dance when it hears the music it's like that's kind
[01:22:33] of funny um but their dog comes back because the dog disappeared for a while because of the sponge
[01:22:40] and uh it comes back and they're all happy and then she's like well what do you got there and she
[01:22:44] looks at it as like a potato and then teeth mouthful of teeth and she just screams it is like i'm telling
[01:22:51] you one of the best screams in the goosebumps tv show is that very moment right there because it's
[01:22:58] just like maybe they republished the cancer long scream who knows but that was blood cream right there
[01:23:05] um but they even foreshadow it at the start or like when they're looking to find out what the
[01:23:11] sponge is it's a gruel um i don't remember what they call it but there's like at least you didn't
[01:23:16] find the uh this thing it's like a little vampire potato and it's like really really deadly um and
[01:23:23] then they're just like you know who cares but then it shows up at the end so it's like really good
[01:23:27] foreshadowing but there's not much to it i just again i really get when these episodes
[01:23:34] with uh that's the sequel um that's the sequel i just really like when um you know when these
[01:23:43] episodes end with just an inexplicable monster showing up and just scream and that's the end
[01:23:48] of the episode right there so it came from beneath the sink is my number four number four okay my number
[01:23:55] four is another slappy episode and uh nick's already covered this one bride of the living dummy
[01:24:02] because not only is it a good twist ending but it's a creepy twist ending because it looks like
[01:24:07] we've mentioned actually in previous like videos in the past anytime they did something in goosebumps
[01:24:13] where it looked otherworldly like it didn't look right it looked odd like out of place it makes it
[01:24:19] scarier you know um and there's a lot of that you know especially in a lot of like 90s early 2000s
[01:24:25] like kids shows they did that a lot like i don't know if you guys remember there was an episode of
[01:24:29] pingu do you remember pingu the penguin yes there was an episode that got banned and it was a giant
[01:24:35] walrus and it was so creepy oh my god it was like it was nightmare feel the way it would like come up
[01:24:43] from like the bottom of the camera like this it would go and it was just like the weirdest weirdest
[01:24:49] thing ever and i remember i think i saw that on tv when i was a kid so i must have seen the one
[01:24:54] and only time i edit because i it was it was traumatizing and then same like cars the cowardly
[01:25:01] dog king ramsay he looks out of place and awkward awkward that's what i'm looking for the same with
[01:25:06] harrison the way the eyes were kind of put on it just looked really weird and out of place and it
[01:25:12] added to that creepiness and yeah and then the voice changing yeah i think it was a good twist because
[01:25:18] like obviously in every other slappy episode he always yeah he'd like like he said he just pups
[01:25:22] disappears the spirit the greenness thing um but in this one it's like no he actually latched on to
[01:25:28] harrison do you know what i mean because you can hear like which is the last time that you saw slappy
[01:25:34] possess a person rather than you know another dummy or what whatever you know just disappeared he
[01:25:41] actually possessed a person yeah oh 100 and like you know when harrison when they say oh you know just
[01:25:49] wait there he's like where am i gonna go and you can hear the where the kind of like um i don't even
[01:25:54] know what you call that but it's like the little little air thing the little air the air vent um
[01:25:59] you can hear slappy faintly laughing in the background like through the air vent so you know
[01:26:04] it's like the spirit's coming um but it's very subtle so if you don't catch that then it's yeah you
[01:26:10] get that twist ending and you're like oh holy crap so yeah bride bride makes number four on my list
[01:26:16] nice nick getting getting mine is uh isaiah's shit boom boom boom yeah i got it because i like it was
[01:26:30] really intense all the way through the end and then when he finally gets that turn and gets back to
[01:26:39] basically his original age and the start of the episode come to find out his sister terror terror
[01:26:47] the terrible is no longer around and it's just like holy crap like he just straight up like time
[01:26:55] abortioned his sister and the fact that you don't really know if he goes back fixes that brings her
[01:27:03] back or just leaves her out of existence uh it it's kind of awesome but terrifying at the same time
[01:27:10] but for me i thought it was awesome because she was annoying now the actress the little girl did she
[01:27:16] did a great job don't get me wrong because i was so happy the fact that he just did a time abortion on
[01:27:22] her and basically like said no no bro i'm not going back and getting her at least not anytime soon
[01:27:31] uh we ain't fixing this uh i think i just corrected you know something in history that
[01:27:38] i might get thanks for later if anybody even knew besides myself so
[01:27:43] could have been something i don't know if we if we do a ranking of the top 10 most satisfying endings
[01:27:49] that is like number one that's for every new fan in the world number one what is more satisfying
[01:27:56] than that like because you're just like i'm telling that horrible evil like her name's terrible
[01:28:03] like tara the terrible like because she is the terrible she's horrible she was awful man i mean
[01:28:09] that's kudos to like kid actors who can do that though um you know it always makes me think uh
[01:28:15] uh the kid who played joffrey in game of thrones oh my gosh like that he did a phenomenal job so much
[01:28:22] so where he was getting like hate mail and like death threats and stuff i mean he's just an actor
[01:28:28] he's a kid actor like but he was that good to where people hated the shit out of him
[01:28:35] umbridge and harry potter tara's not quite that level but tara's there tara's there i i fucking
[01:28:42] hated that kid i was glad she got time awarded it's characters that you love to hate only like
[01:28:47] umbridge and harry potter that was the same thing umbridge was like everyone hated her so much
[01:28:53] but she played it so well do you know what i mean so you can't really hate the actress or act
[01:28:58] it's just they're doing their part that's a great job i hated their character so much that that's what
[01:29:04] they needed to get out of you that's the emotion they needed to invoke out of you and they sure as
[01:29:10] they're doing it so much like that's what they needed to do so yeah kudos to those actors you do
[01:29:13] yeah fantastic joke with that so what do you got for your number four uh my number four is shocker on
[01:29:22] shock street and of course it's another amusement park centric episode like uh one weekend at horror
[01:29:31] land but or one day at orland so got to me too um but uh but uh yeah essentially you know the whole
[01:29:40] episode is about these two kids getting terrorized at uh their uh father's amusement park uh attraction
[01:29:48] that he's developing and eventually they get so terrified that they seem to just kind of shut down
[01:29:55] because they're of course animatronic robots that apparently have memories that are programmed
[01:30:01] into them personalities they're like i guess testing out the amusement park because i guess
[01:30:08] that's just a lot cheaper than getting just a real person to test out the uh the theme park attractions
[01:30:15] and they it just ends with like the the the quote unquote dad the creator of them just being huh i
[01:30:22] wonder uh i wonder like i i guess i should have realized they were malfunctioning because i did not
[01:30:26] program a mother to their minds so they like manufactured a mother on their own
[01:30:31] something it's like the most nightmarish ending like you could be a robot with just
[01:30:35] just just false memories too and then at the end like he's like replacing them with new models but
[01:30:43] the original models show up to uh i guess i guess uh beat the beat the shit out of them or something
[01:30:49] they they cut out they cut they cut to black after that but they're definitely gonna kick his ass i guess
[01:30:54] yeah yeah they woke up and they're like hey motherfucker yeah
[01:31:02] everyone wants to live even robots
[01:31:09] yeah it's that's a great one it's not even in the book uh the book just ends with them just being
[01:31:15] like oh let's take them back but the episode added that uh that sort of yeah i mean like the episode
[01:31:21] like like they just pick up the the the kid actors and you can tell they're they're still moving around
[01:31:28] yeah well then you got uh you got marty like the the new marty on the table and he's like tinkering
[01:31:34] with him and he's just being like like that how they make it seem like robots oh i love that even
[01:31:44] robots yeah another twilight zone-esque ending right there i would say everything wants to live
[01:31:53] even robots that was time now
[01:31:59] um oh top three now in our top three my bronze medal for best goosebumps ending is gonna go
[01:32:06] to my best friend is invisible oh man this is holy crap i'm shitting bricks territory
[01:32:17] um this is the creepiest effect uh in the entire goosebumps tv series um the whole thing so you
[01:32:26] think the whole time that brent is a ghost but it turns out um his parents finally see they're like
[01:32:31] oh shit he does like have there is an invisible person running around and he they trapped him in
[01:32:38] sam's room and they reveal him and he becomes visible again it's just a little kid and he's like
[01:32:45] ducked he's already like ducked in the corner like frightened um and it turns out that everybody else
[01:32:53] besides brent is an alien and they took over the earth uh in indetermined amount of time ago
[01:33:01] and they're like well i thought all the humans were uh were dealt with or like they were transported
[01:33:08] now like that's right we transported them to a another planet or something like that
[01:33:14] um and he's like well yeah my parents left me here but they made me invisible so nobody could see me
[01:33:20] and then they're like well don't fret like we're not gonna hurt you and he's like no stay back
[01:33:24] and then these motherfuckers these intergalactic motherfuckers they turn around and the backs of
[01:33:34] their heads have eyes and a mouth and it's the most terrifying effect in the entire tv series
[01:33:43] and they're just like we wanted to help you brent we wanted to save you from the others
[01:33:52] like we won't hurt you we promise and then they just close in on him you see the shadows on the
[01:33:58] wall and then just laughing laughing laughing laughing and that is the end it is haunting it does look
[01:34:04] like annoying orange but on the back of a guy's head but that is scary that is still scary
[01:34:09] maybe that's why i found annoying orange scary because i thought it was annoying orange well as
[01:34:16] i've said before there's something about putting eyes and a mouth on something that isn't a human face
[01:34:22] like you know like realistic like eyes and mouth um something that isn't like on an actual human
[01:34:29] face putting it on something else that's just creepy but the fact that like you just turn around and
[01:34:35] there's another face on the back of your head oh terrifying haunting something very odd about it
[01:34:43] that is an ending where i would not be surprised in the least uh if that gave kids nightmares so
[01:34:50] it cracks my top three as my bronze medal choice my best friend is invisible metal
[01:34:56] bronze medal bronze medal goes to terror the terrible mine is also the cuckoo clock of doom
[01:35:03] a cool or the bronze medal but uh it's it's a good twist ending but like i already said before
[01:35:10] it is such a satisfying ending where i'm just like like i'm doing bender from the breakfast club at the
[01:35:16] end you know yes it's like you know what i mean i'm just so happy you know and when he's like oh i
[01:35:23] might go back for the song that plays in that scene doesn't really fit with that moment from cuckoo clock
[01:35:29] because isn't that song don't you forget about me oh don't you know it's just the fist bump of like
[01:35:36] yes like she is gone i know but i'm just saying the irony of the song with that moment that you're
[01:35:42] talking about is don't you forget about me don't you forget about me everyone forgot about him
[01:35:48] do forget about me oh i see i see what you mean yeah no the song doesn't work no uh but all i can
[01:35:58] say is when he does think about going back for terror i'm just like dude bro no just leave it you know
[01:36:04] your parents might decide to have another kid but like just leave it okay you don't want that in
[01:36:09] your life anymore like literally what she did to him at his birthday party dude like i'm sorry but if like
[01:36:16] one of my siblings had done that to me dude i wouldn't have just like got up and been like oh
[01:36:21] oh she did that what if they added a twist where they revealed that there's an even more annoying
[01:36:27] little sibling now that has replaced her oh man then he has to go back in time and get tara to fight the
[01:36:35] new one just a laugh man i couldn't bring her back just to hear that laugh anymore like
[01:36:43] like no like you know what i mean but oh they would have been hell if you did that to me on my
[01:36:48] birthday like there is no way i would have just let that go so if anything like i kind of look at him
[01:36:54] as like he's a little bit of like he holds back too much you know like he should have been like more
[01:36:59] like i mean he did get pissy at her he does hold back yeah he holds back a lot i mean nick what would
[01:37:06] you have done like friend of a prize i would have broke all her dolls thankfully i grew up an only
[01:37:13] child but in that situation it just depends uh i think in his situation maybe it's because it was a
[01:37:19] little sister not like a brother he couldn't really do anything now if it was a brother you know you'd
[01:37:27] beat the snot out of him like yeah well he could have ripped all her doll heads off just ripped them all
[01:37:33] you know he could have done something else oh yeah you could totally make her my god you two are
[01:37:37] just babe you two do really hate this character oh even just like i mean it looked like he was going
[01:37:45] to do something at the beginning of the episode where she like you know gets the uh ketchup and
[01:37:49] just sprays on his face he's like that's it i've had it i was like oh my god he's ready like he's got
[01:37:55] that fist like you know i thought like something was gonna happen you need to kick the damn rabbit
[01:38:01] do something the time has come he snapped right he snapped at that point somebody just comes out with
[01:38:08] a little bell ringing just like the time has come the time has come but yeah no number three is
[01:38:16] definitely cuckoo clock of doom like that's hands down one of the best twist endings and also
[01:38:22] very satisfying ending to like oh you know so dedicated to the cuckoo clock of doom yes we can
[01:38:34] get john on here as much as i'd love to talk quantum mass too i think majority would have to be talking
[01:38:40] about cuckoo clock of doom yeah that bitch the entire time you were filming this bro i mean real life
[01:38:47] was this annoying i hope for your guys's sake we don't bring on the actress for tara on this show
[01:38:53] she did a fantastic job
[01:38:57] yeah you're gonna talk about how much you hated her character and wanted her dead
[01:39:02] yeah that's how good she was in that role whatever you say nick what's your number three
[01:39:07] if i could get if i could get the actor who played joffrey on here you don't think i wouldn't do
[01:39:11] that and talk about all that too probably heck yeah i would probably would
[01:39:18] what do you got totally would oh man so as it came down and man it was real tough um because
[01:39:27] again now we're getting to like the the nitty-gritty but man it's it's my hairiest adventure
[01:39:31] no i'm just kidding i ain't fucking harry's my hair in my ass
[01:39:35] the second time you pull that crap
[01:39:39] that's so good if i would say chicken chicken if there was an episode but it's okay
[01:39:48] but a lot of the the better endings seem to happen in season one for me so um
[01:39:57] honorable mention night living dummy three and night living dummy two but they're not in this
[01:40:04] just honorable mentions uh but girl cried monster gets number three for me we've already talked about
[01:40:09] it so i'm not going to go into all the detail per se save some time here but girl cried monster is a
[01:40:18] really great ending obviously it's up in the air whether or not because i've heard in the community
[01:40:23] some people don't think the kids knew the parents were monsters it was always indicated to me based on
[01:40:30] how the episode made it sound with their dialogue that they did know uh that's why the parents said
[01:40:36] you know do you know why we can't tell people we're monsters and then the kids were like
[01:40:42] so you know i feel like they totally knew the entire time um but again eugene lipinski freaking
[01:40:50] killed it as mortman uh i was actually pretty sad to see his character get eaten uh but you know
[01:40:56] whatever uh in the end he became like this really creepy pervy librarian anyway so i guess it was it
[01:41:03] was it was okay well i mean he came to her house all right he was like hey lucy can i come here
[01:41:12] this is like slimy hands uh why uh what you up my house for bro it's not even on your way it's
[01:41:19] totally on my way what you're back and neck it's like oh yeah that was hilarious too at the same time
[01:41:30] but no urquod monster number three see what you got number three attack of the jack-o-lanterns which
[01:41:38] we went into already i just think the uh puppet aliens at the end look really fake but also really
[01:41:45] uncanny and creepy to where as a little kid that uh really uh had a huge impact on me it just looked
[01:41:54] just terrible like just imagining the idea of these and puppets somehow eating somebody just
[01:42:01] imagining how that would uh play out it's uh yeah it's it's it's really uh really creepy
[01:42:08] i agree very much so all right silver medal second spot mine is gonna go to more monster blood
[01:42:19] um more monster what i think is an underrated episode two i love oh you're serious i am quite
[01:42:26] waiting for the punchline but that that was the punchline i guess all right
[01:42:29] oh god i'm gonna get serious and i think get a can of rain yep it's gonna be my number two because
[01:42:38] again it's very similar to it came from beneath the sink where everything seems all happy and all
[01:42:44] everything's all great and all of a sudden you know they're like i forgot my evans like i forgot my
[01:42:50] jacket and he goes back and there was an ant from earlier that ate some of the monster blood so he pulls
[01:42:56] back the curtain and there's a giant ant sitting on the wall just a little privacy here like
[01:43:05] like i'm sorry like that is just a great way to end that episode because again
[01:43:13] i don't know they didn't bring back the phallus worm when they pulled back the curtain you know what i
[01:43:18] mean the big penis worm um no a giant penis worm yeah i mean i i already really like the climax of
[01:43:26] more monster blood because i think that having a monster on a plane is a really interesting concept
[01:43:31] and especially something like that that can like one touch and you're just done for um is just a
[01:43:38] really good like being inside the monster blood it's like being inside a giant nose
[01:43:45] um and yeah and just the whole thing about like shoving the airline food uh into the monster blood so it
[01:43:51] could throw up uh all the people is i don't know it's it's a really fun episode i i it's more
[01:43:58] interesting than the like actual adaptation of monster blood um yeah i i just really like it but that ending
[01:44:06] just cracks me up every single time um just how it goes from all happy and then it's like oh this is
[01:44:14] a horror show remember so here you go um oh yeah and i'm like this motherfucking monster blood on this
[01:44:22] motherfucking plane for once you know like the government actually gets involved because they
[01:44:29] get like an actual containment unit for the stuff it's like finally thank you like lock that shit up
[01:44:37] stop playing do that in the books he has to have access in case he doesn't like his grade or
[01:44:41] or something you know yeah it's just like no you gotta have quick access to it you you have that
[01:44:48] shit locked in like area 51 or something like that like you don't continue to have it within arm's reach
[01:44:53] so i was like about time just they were just like get rid of it please um so yeah that already puts it
[01:45:01] above all the other book sequels so month more monster blood is my number two pick for favorite
[01:45:06] goose so who wins monster blood or the blob hey everyone uh i mean if we're going off the episodes
[01:45:15] i'll at least say that the monster blood looked like uh you know more blob-esque than the actual
[01:45:21] episode blob because the big the blob in the episode looks like a big blanket i just mean in a fight
[01:45:27] i just mean in a fight who wins which which goosebumps monster i don't know i would say god it could be
[01:45:35] anyone's game because i mean the blob they probably just grab it and pull it in but like the monster
[01:45:41] blood if you touch it it just like pulls you in so i don't know i would say maybe the monster boy at
[01:45:48] least the monster board can grow i i do know that um so it could probably just grow bigger than the blob
[01:45:53] probably so i would say maybe monster blood um yep my number two pick what's your number two pick bjorn
[01:46:03] silver medal silver medal goes to night terror tower i love the twist ending where the executioner you
[01:46:13] think oh yeah no like he's done but obviously when morgrid was doing that spell you know uh something
[01:46:22] went you know wrong there and uh one of the stones ended up in the hands of the executioner and
[01:46:28] obviously at the end so when they're about to board the bus he goes to pull out the stones he's like
[01:46:34] wait there's one missing what happened and then you see the executioner was holding one of the stones
[01:46:39] and you're like oh i didn't expect that um no i think that's a i genuinely think that's a good twist
[01:46:46] ending um you know like obviously when i was a kid i hadn't read the books i was watching the tv series
[01:46:52] first because i was rich watching the show long before i was old enough to even read the books
[01:46:56] and i remember watching that and thinking like how does that work like and i remember my
[01:47:02] also you see when he was doing the spell obviously he got sort of like i mean they had he managed to
[01:47:08] finish the spell but he somehow managed to knock the stones out and he got hold of one um and yeah then it
[01:47:16] led to the the twist ending where he ended up obviously back in the future so they could have
[01:47:20] technically done which had a really good soundtrack too i remember when he showed up like the executioner's
[01:47:27] theme when it popped in you're like oh snap so yeah it made the ending a little bit more dynamic that
[01:47:33] way too just the music played yeah it made it transitioned into the goosebumps theme at the end
[01:47:41] because it goes from that and then it goes into the the terror tower version of the goosebumps credits uh
[01:47:49] which is pretty nice so and i i love that i i thought it was a good twist ending because like he
[01:47:55] you know you thought that they had escaped you know he did the spell but i mean i know he was kind
[01:48:01] of running at them like something was gonna happen um but he like because he frantically did that and then
[01:48:10] obviously of course you know when he noticed one of the stones was missing and he had the way like oh
[01:48:15] he got he he made it through as well he got what's he gonna do like really what is he gonna do and why
[01:48:21] should he do anything well he is an executioner who my guess is he's gonna kill mordred take the stones
[01:48:30] and then take the children back to be murdered in front of everyone yep yeah but why the original plan
[01:48:36] you answered the question they even mentioned it in the episode they're just like why don't you just
[01:48:40] let us go to the future like what are we gonna do and they're just like he's just like oh allow them
[01:48:45] to grow strong and come back is like yeah but why would they do that they would i wouldn't because
[01:48:50] their sense of duty to their kingdom and everything else so their parents who were murdered fuck that
[01:48:58] i'm just gonna go eat some hamburgers or something like that morgan would teach them some more magic
[01:49:03] too so they'll have more magic spells to use i don't think it's all really unnecessary but what do
[01:49:08] i know but um no i love i love that ending i i i always did like i mean i love the episode but i also
[01:49:16] love the ending you know what i mean it's satisfying and yeah like nick said the way the music kind of pans
[01:49:21] out the end like when he's holding the stone and he looks over like and he kind of just looks over
[01:49:26] i'm like i think it's such a beautiful final shot of just the execution of looking out of it like
[01:49:32] like it's not over it's not over yet like i still have a chance if you weren't for you meddling kids
[01:49:37] yeah literally like but he's looking at them like you think you're getting away like i still have a
[01:49:43] chance here like it's not over and you get more uh you get more hammy rl stein acting so it's a win-win
[01:49:49] for all yeah oh yeah i love it it makes me out of here hey go me out let me out of here let me out
[01:49:57] of here let me out of here now these guys should have just made the goosebump movie as rl stein like
[01:50:02] as much as i love jack black rl stein should have just been in the he was he was mr black he was the
[01:50:07] drama teacher funny enough oh he was in the movie sorry yeah no isn't that funny he's the drama
[01:50:13] teacher and he's like a super bad actor i thought that was
[01:50:21] no i love it nick what do you got for number two the werewolf of fever swamp
[01:50:32] because obviously it's a fantastic episode but the ending was really
[01:50:39] pretty pretty well up there because you i don't know if grady got bit somewhere along the way
[01:50:44] never really implied that um but maybe he got scratched i don't know in that universe how werewolf
[01:50:52] uh transition works you know how you become a werewolf but either way it was really cool to
[01:51:00] one see the skeleton coming up will skeleton coming up from the uh from the swamp itself and the bog
[01:51:07] uh all somehow it's already all the flesh is gone all the muscles everything is just a skeleton now i
[01:51:14] don't understand that but it's all right when skeletons are then also they kind of tricky with like
[01:51:20] how this is you think the ending is just you know grady's in bed and then and poof werewolf you're like
[01:51:29] shit jump scare but then turns out he's got the fever and the only cure is more cowbell
[01:51:36] but no it's not he goes up goes to the balcony and he starts howling like a wolf like a wolf
[01:51:44] oh oh
[01:51:49] it makes you wonder how he became yeah yeah that's what i'm saying like i don't really know if he got
[01:51:53] bit or scratched or whatever i never really noticed that and in this whole thing but he definitely got the
[01:52:00] fever so what if he got bit by christopher walken and then you turned into a werewolf
[01:52:04] they got more we're walking yeah you just turn into instead of a wolf you turn into christopher walken
[01:52:14] go around go around the woods being scary like how did you fight how did you know that that was going to happen i don't know
[01:52:27] i don't know that's a classic it's just like you have a car yeah can you drive me home nobody seems to like me
[01:52:37] oh man is it odd that my favorite line of christopher walken is from click and it's such a silly line he
[01:52:43] just says you know fast food shortens your life i don't know why but i love that line because he's like
[01:52:50] it's obviously the shot of him in the car like shoving down those chips like oh oh and you're
[01:52:55] like man he's enjoying them chips and then when he tells him that line later i'm like i love it no
[01:52:59] fast food shortens your life um yeah honestly you gotta think yeah no it's a it's a it's great ending
[01:53:07] i just really enjoy the fact that one uh it's depressing as an ending as well it's not really
[01:53:14] i know like with horror you don't typically get happy endings anyway but this one was for
[01:53:19] for goosebumps was pretty dark uh i mean will died the old man died who was trying to avenge his family
[01:53:27] who was murdered by will only to be killed by will anyway uh and then grady down the road you know he's
[01:53:37] going to kill his family too because he's a werewolf now apparently so the implication of what's going to
[01:53:42] happen going forward it's like damn this was a twist ending that was pretty dark uh so yeah i really like
[01:53:49] to let and it almost made my number one spot but it was really tough for me not to put it there but
[01:53:56] number two number two what do you got all right my number two is a uh story we have gone through before
[01:54:07] but cuckoo clock of doom and i do just love the fact that uh the kid at the end he's just like
[01:54:14] maybe i'll help her maybe i'll bring her back to existence maybe but for now you know i'm just gonna
[01:54:22] chill out and enjoy myself but maybe like he's definitely not going to do that yeah he but also
[01:54:29] i i do kind of wonder because he doesn't exist because the cuckoo clock is missing the year 1989
[01:54:37] but it makes me wonder did the year 1989 just not happen are the parents like what did happen that year
[01:54:44] hmm i guess batman didn't come out huh which is such a shame he's gotta he's gotta fix it he's got it we need
[01:54:51] bat dance we need bat dance he's gonna regret it later on he's gonna be like wait so all we have is
[01:54:58] like tim burton never directed batman so we have is val kilmer batman george clooney batman okay we have
[01:55:04] to fix this like adam west he's like oh we fucked up but we also didn't get uh what was that we also
[01:55:11] didn't get freddy's dead the final nightmare so maybe it's a maybe it's a came out of 1989
[01:55:19] freddy's in 91 i was gonna say yeah freddy's in the 90s yeah yeah yeah dream child was 89 oh
[01:55:26] yeah i could do without that one either yeah i mean yeah it was not good so i could do without it
[01:55:36] dream warriors though that's a dark implication yeah if like yeah if one person got erased from
[01:55:44] you know that time and it's like oh what else got erased had to be more many people
[01:55:49] there would have been no dead poet society that would wait no i got the year wrong it wasn't 89 it
[01:55:55] was 88 so we're good okay we're good 88 wasn't it nothing we wouldn't have got uncle buck okay no
[01:56:02] uncle buck and no dead poet society apparently well that's 89 field of dreams if it's 88 i think we're
[01:56:10] good to go yep no turner and hooch nothing nothing nothing interesting happened in 1988 oh really i
[01:56:17] know honey oh wait honey i shrunk the kids was 89 no pet cemetery that was 89 the original pet cemetery
[01:56:23] we're fine we're fine though it's fine okay we're good we're good more guys how are you indiana jones
[01:56:30] last crusade i don't know if i could live without that one that was a good one that was a good one
[01:56:36] maybe 89 also that doesn't exist too maybe i don't know i don't know how the effects of a magic cuckoo clock
[01:56:44] work what is the golden episode the golden ending the golden one number one all right my number one
[01:56:56] is harrison doesn't live here anymore brylory dummy is my number one hey i'm sorry i love brylory
[01:57:06] loving dummies ending i love love love that ending with harrison as slappy just the the eyes the hair
[01:57:15] this turnaround the transition from harrison's voice to slappy's the laugh at the end is so good it's so
[01:57:26] wonderful it is sometimes i will just like look up that clip just to watch it i love it so much
[01:57:35] because i just oh i can't get enough of it like yeah let me say hey folks like hey folks yeah he's
[01:57:42] oh it's it's again it starts off as harrison's normal voice he's like hey or no it's sorry folks
[01:57:49] like a laugh yeah it's like sorry it's like harrison doesn't live here anymore and then he laughs
[01:57:57] um but yeah no that's we already discussed it it's my number one i just love it i love how it's just
[01:58:04] yeah i don't know what to say about it that we haven't already discussed it's a great one
[01:58:09] bride of the living dummy is my gold medal is my number one gold medal my gold medal goes to
[01:58:18] revenge of the law gnomes wow that ending was fucked dude seriously like he got turned into a
[01:58:31] lawn ornament at the end and i did not see that coming at all and that was like yeah it's creepy
[01:58:41] it's like they could just like push him over and smash him and he's gone do you know what i mean like
[01:58:46] i mean so obviously you know at the end when joe and that you know they finally you know end up in
[01:58:53] his garden again and then obviously the law gnomes are also there because they followed joe into the
[01:58:59] garden and uh major mccall comes out and then they kind of just hightail it out and he's like i'm finally
[01:59:04] getting rid of this junk picks up the lawn arm and then it has like these little vampire teeth
[01:59:11] and i'm assuming i think we mentioned this once in the podcast i'm assuming it bites him
[01:59:16] and somehow turns him into a law it looks like that it looks like he takes a bite out of his
[01:59:21] like short implication yeah yeah yeah he takes a bite and then but then at the end i did not expect
[01:59:28] that where you know obviously they're doing the judging now for the for the gardens and
[01:59:32] you know they said we love your garden and everything and he said oh great i'll be you
[01:59:38] know happy to accept the first prize and he said no uh you would have if you'd won but uh there was
[01:59:44] just one thing that was so hideous so ugly so disturbing and it's like what is it that hideous
[01:59:50] lawn ornament and then it's just the major i love that ending so much i don't know what it is it sticks
[01:59:57] with me it's like it's it's great that's my number one um number one ending for for goosebumps tv series
[02:00:05] i think it's joe pesci scene that everybody uses on reels now well what the is this piece of
[02:00:12] shit yeah well that's some tales from the crypt it's so funny that's like the one like
[02:00:19] that's uh just a reel though from that people are using like i used it for the
[02:00:25] goosebumps haunted mask on disney plus i just find it funny when i'm just like oh i know where that's
[02:00:32] from honorable mention though going worms i mean think about it worst episode of the series but
[02:00:43] you really expect that fish we're gonna like pull him into the lake and just like drag him to the other
[02:00:50] side that was the most like weirdest thing ever where's like the fish literally like well
[02:00:58] we're gonna take you now do you really think that's actually i do not think that's worthy of an honorable
[02:01:08] mention but we've but if you say so look hey no no no that's your opinion i was i was i was kidding
[02:01:15] you think i was being serious yeah just joking guys i was just joking
[02:01:23] uh nick what's your number one oh my god of course i had to go with the haunted mask
[02:01:30] i who would have loved the episode very much actually it could have went either way like i said
[02:01:36] world fever swamp was very very close um but because it was the first episode i ever watched
[02:01:43] the first episode of the show they obviously put a lot more effort into that episode more than the
[02:01:51] most of the rest of the episodes that we got later and all the rest of the seasons
[02:01:55] i really want to see that cut though where katherine does that scream because i really think that would
[02:02:01] have added something to the end of that episode um but yeah no not a mask i mean what can more can
[02:02:07] be said about it it was just a a really great ending i know we've talked about it i could talk
[02:02:14] about it nauseam but i won't do it to you guys so i'll leave it at that the haunted mask is my number
[02:02:20] one nice and sid my number one is one we haven't brought up yet but uh welcome to camp nightmare oh wait
[02:02:29] oh wait we did we did already go through that okay yeah but yeah that's my number one i just like how the
[02:02:34] and how it ended with the worst like photoshopped picture of earth like against the sky and he just
[02:02:42] like points at it and like billy is just like he acts like he hasn't seen that before like it is
[02:02:47] wouldn't be the equivalent of his moon or something like oh it's a place called earth oh wow that's crazy
[02:02:52] how it i guess that you can only see it at this in this in this spot or something i always wonder what
[02:02:57] that was right there yeah maybe they have a whole bunch of planets i don't i don't know how it works
[02:03:02] exactly like it's very vague yeah yeah it's like how the fuck did i not notice that
[02:03:11] where the fuck do we get ice cream
[02:03:15] was that always their dad yeah i don't know
[02:03:20] aren't you scientists all these parents in this goosebumps world are scientists
[02:03:26] aren't you scientists i don't know they just gave these phds out like candy one day so
[02:03:34] yeah that's not that you say it it did look really photoshopped didn't it
[02:03:41] but it was good i'm a doctor like dr pepper's a doctor okay yeah
[02:03:47] doctor pepper oh yeah i mean that's a good choice for number one i mean we now that we've gone through
[02:03:54] all our lists you know we certainly had some similarities but also some uh you know some
[02:03:58] curveballs mostly by me but the thing about goosebumps is that they can have some really
[02:04:04] subtle endings or they can have some really off the wall oddball endings and there's certainly a lot
[02:04:09] more um that we could have talked about i know uh say cheese and die again while i
[02:04:15] loathe that episode uh has a pretty funny ending because the teacher goes bald
[02:04:20] um because he gets his picture taken um you also have uh like all the slappy episodes have pretty
[02:04:27] memorable endings attack the mutant has uh elastic boy he's stretching
[02:04:35] yeah uh bad hair day has uh both amazo and tim turn in that's gonna good to a standing
[02:04:41] that's an honorable mention he's like what and quit show business but um
[02:04:47] that's actually a good honorable mention really bad anything about that so many good ones that uh
[02:04:52] we could have brought up but uh we wanted to focus on our personal favorites and uh there was some
[02:04:57] pretty good uh choices in between i must say but uh we also had some crossover and that's because you
[02:05:03] know there are certainly some endings that stick out for a lot of people overall and uh that's why i
[02:05:09] like goosebumps definitely have to be on everybody's list map nightmare was on all of our lists right
[02:05:16] yeah it's gotta be yeah yeah i mean that's the winner of the episode of this episode then yeah it's a
[02:05:23] twist ending yeah like it was like it was designed as a twist ending big time like yes never and it
[02:05:32] wasn't telegraphed before it's like it was just completely out of nowhere it's just like oh by the
[02:05:37] way we're aliens too so yeah definitely absolutely here you go twist here you go yep it's like but
[02:05:46] that doesn't make any sense it doesn't matter it's twist yeah it's like a man you literally like here
[02:05:52] you go that's like shot that's like shamalan's way of writing it's just like but it doesn't make any
[02:05:56] sense it's like doesn't matter it's a twist yeah it's not supposed to make sense it doesn't have to
[02:06:02] make sense it doesn't make sense it's twist uh but anyway that's gonna do it for tonight's episode
