[00:01:43] So every week, we have a brand new episode talking about anything from Goosebumps,

[00:01:48] whether it be the books, TV shows, movies, video games, merchandise, whatever it is.

[00:01:52] If it has Goosebumps on the name, we're going to talk about it until the oxygen is depleted from our lungs and we cannot talk no more.

[00:01:59] So with all that said, if you end up liking today's episode, make sure you leave a like and comment.

[00:02:42] And we thank you in advance for your support.

[00:02:45] So we are still in the month of Goosetober.

[00:02:48] In fact, it is officially the week of Halloween.

[00:02:51] Ooh, it's the spookiest time of the year.

[00:02:54] And Halloween is so close. It is practically breathing down our necks.

[00:02:58] So when you think of Halloween, you know, you think of what you might see on Halloween, like candy and trick or treaters.

[00:03:05] But you also take the time to think about sort of the things that go bump in the night, like ghouls, goblins, ghosts, monsters, vampires, werewolves, mummies, all sorts of different monsters.

[00:03:17] And whether they be from legend, from folklore or from pop culture, there's no denying that the monsters that we know and love have gone through many changes, interpretations and have evolved over time from their original inception.

[00:03:30] And there's nobody who knows evolution quite like the person joining us today here on the podcast.

[00:03:36] If you are familiar with the YouTube channel, Tell It Animated, you probably know today's guest, Mr. Aaron LeCour.

[00:03:42] Aaron, thank you for joining us. It's a pleasure to have you on the show.

[00:03:46] Great. Thanks for having me. Yeah, I'm excited to talk some Goosebumps with you guys.

[00:03:49] It's been a while since I've had anybody to talk about Goosebumps with.

[00:03:54] So yeah, that's exciting.

[00:03:56] You are among friends.

[00:03:58] Yeah, it's going to be exciting.

[00:04:00] Yep, absolutely. It's a pleasure to have you on and we thank you for joining us and we welcome you to the Goosebumps crew.

[00:04:06] Trust me, you know, if you want to talk Goosebumps, we're the people to talk Goosebumps with.

[00:04:10] And as you've said, you are actually yourself a Goosebumps fan, which is very, very cool.

[00:04:18] Can you tell us a little bit about what your experience with Goosebumps is?

[00:04:22] Well, my experience probably goes back to when I was younger.

[00:04:28] So the books were coming out and I'm not sure, like I grew up in Canada, in Ontario.

[00:04:34] We had these things called like Scholastic Book Fairs. Do you guys have that in the States?

[00:04:38] Yes, indeed.

[00:04:39] Oh, yeah.

[00:04:40] And yeah, so they would come and then they would always bring the Goosebumps books to our public school.

[00:04:46] And I was like, just like, wow, look at these covers.

[00:04:49] And I could probably only get like one every time the fair came around because I wasn't,

[00:04:54] I didn't grow up, you know, wealthy or anything.

[00:04:55] And I wasn't even a huge reader, but I was just like completely captivated by these covers.

[00:05:01] And I was like, oh my God, these are beautiful.

[00:05:05] So I slowly amassed a small collection and read them and reread them when I was younger.

[00:05:09] And then I realized that there was a Goosebumps TV show.

[00:05:13] And then I would start watching that.

[00:05:16] And yeah.

[00:05:17] And that's, and then Are You Afraid of the Dark would come on right after.

[00:05:20] And I would run away because the freaking intro to that would scare me.

[00:05:24] I was like, why is this the scariest thing that's ever happened?

[00:05:28] It just goes from like the end credits of like, dun dun dun dun.

[00:05:31] And then it's like, I was like, okay.

[00:05:34] But yeah.

[00:05:34] So then as I got older, I probably fell out a little bit of love with it because, you know,

[00:05:41] as you get older, you're not going to watch kids stuff anymore.

[00:05:43] But going back now, like I did a video on the top 10 horror dolls and I was like, oh,

[00:05:51] I have to cover slappy.

[00:05:53] So I went back and I think that same year I had gone back and rewatched the entire 1994

[00:06:00] TV series again, just out of like, I was like, oh yeah, I remember watching those when I was younger.

[00:06:05] And I kind of fell back in love with it.

[00:06:07] And I was like, I think I like sold off most of my old books or who knows, got rid of them.

[00:06:13] So I've been like kind of recollecting those in the last few years as well.

[00:06:17] And I think I have like 50 or so of like the original 64 and then a couple of other odd ones

[00:06:23] that I find here and there.

[00:06:26] And recently I rewatched or I watched the new series and then I've seen the two movies, of course.

[00:06:33] But yeah, so probably pretty casual compared to you guys, but

[00:06:40] compared to most people I know, I've probably seen more Goosebumps media than

[00:06:45] a hundred people within the radius where I am.

[00:06:48] Well, it's very interesting to know that not only, you know, like that you used to be a big

[00:06:53] Goosebumps fan back in the nineties, but that you've sort of come back around to it

[00:06:57] and are a collector yourselves.

[00:06:59] I mean, we're, we're collectors too. So it's, uh, you know, it's just awesome to be among

[00:07:04] another fellow Goosebumps collector.

[00:07:07] Um, and, uh, as you said, you've, you found most of the original series so far.

[00:07:11] So you're, uh, you're pretty close to a full set from the sounds of it.

[00:07:15] Yeah, man. It's just like, I don't know what it is.

[00:07:17] I think, I don't know, like the history of like the releases and stuff, but I assume the last few

[00:07:22] just weren't released as much or something and they're just hard to find.

[00:07:27] So I think like I'm just missing like eight of them at the end ish.

[00:07:32] And then the last one I found was Cuckoo Clock, uh, which I found a couple weeks ago.

[00:07:39] I was like, this is what I didn't have. For some reason, I don't know why that one eluded me for so

[00:07:42] long, but I don't know if it just didn't get released as much or if I was just unlucky.

[00:07:47] It was lost to Tony.

[00:07:49] Well, we kind of talked about it before where it seems nowadays, a lot of people are trying to

[00:07:57] recapture those books again, because even when I go to my half price books, I'll find a lot of the

[00:08:04] newer stuff from like Slappy World or the Horrorland series. But if you try to find any of the originals,

[00:08:12] um, whether that be original 62 or the series 2000 or what have you, good luck.

[00:08:18] Mm-hmm.

[00:08:19] Like yeah.

[00:08:19] Even far between. And honestly, yeah, the later books are harder to find and they're actually a

[00:08:27] bit expensive. Some of them are.

[00:08:29] Mm-hmm.

[00:08:29] Yeah. I've seen some online. I'm like, oh, I'm not paying that.

[00:08:31] Yeah. I mean, if you ever decide to go beyond the original series, there's going to be quite a few

[00:08:38] bumps in the road in terms of finding things. Cause oh boy, goosebumps collecting goes hardcore.

[00:08:44] Thousands upon thousands of dollars.

[00:08:48] I imagine. I was like, when I first started like recollecting, I was also grabbing some of the newer

[00:08:53] ones on that I'm just like, got too many. And I was like, I can't also collect these newer additions.

[00:08:58] That would just be crazy. So like last Halloween, I like had like 30 books and like, I just was like

[00:09:04] asking kids. I was like, oh, do you want like a goosebumps book? They're like, yeah, sure. And I

[00:09:08] got rid of all of them like that night. I was like, okay, well, at least it's gone somewhere nice.

[00:09:13] I love that idea. I've heard that idea so much of like giving goosebumps books out

[00:09:18] on Halloween for trick-or-treaters. Like instead of candy or with candy, you give a goosebumps book.

[00:09:23] Like if I were a kid, you know, all I'm saying is that people gave out goosebumps books instead of

[00:09:28] candy. I would not complain. Yeah. I also somewhat sort of collect like a goosebumps rip-off books.

[00:09:36] I'm not sure if they're always rip-offs or whatever, but like the bone chillers, uh, shivers,

[00:09:43] uh, ghoul school. Is that one of them? Yep. Yeah. Graveyard school. Yeah. That's it.

[00:09:49] Gregor school. That's what it is. Um, yeah. Like those are kind of fun to find too. I'm like,

[00:09:54] like this is weird. And then I found one book that's like an, are you afraid of the dark book,

[00:09:59] which I had never seen before. And I was like, this is weird. I couldn't, I don't think it was

[00:10:04] based on an actual episode. It was just like an original story. Yeah.

[00:10:08] We, I remember I, I'm pretty sure only one of them was based off an episode. One of the,

[00:10:12] out of all the books they brought out from what I was told, only one was actually based off an episode.

[00:10:17] I think it was Cutter's treasure because Cutter's treasure, that episode was like a really big deal.

[00:10:23] Uh, so they made a book adaptation about it, but yeah, there is an, are you afraid of the dark book

[00:10:26] series? Uh, I remember actually the daycare I used to be at when I was way younger, uh, actually had

[00:10:33] one of those books. It was like, it had a big, like monster wave on the cover and I was just mesmerized.

[00:10:38] Like, wow. Um, yeah, that was around the time I was getting goosebumps too. So I was just kind of like,

[00:10:44] Ooh, this is probably like goosebumps. Um, but we did a whole episode talking about all those

[00:10:49] different, uh, ripoff knockoff series. And I mean, as we found out or as we were told, uh,

[00:10:56] some of those series have a lot of merit and, uh, should be definitely checked out. Um, absolutely.

[00:11:02] Yeah. Now, uh, as you had mentioned, you did a, uh, a video for your channel, as I mentioned,

[00:11:08] you run the channel tell it animated on YouTube, uh, where you do evolutions of all different kinds

[00:11:14] of pop culture characters, whether they be horror slashers, movie monsters, superheroes,

[00:11:18] uh, all that jazz. And you've been doing it for quite a few years now. Um, what inspired you to

[00:11:24] want to make, uh, your YouTube channel and the kind of content that you make today?

[00:11:29] Well, I guess the inspiration for the YouTube channel came. So like I moved from Ontario to BC

[00:11:37] the world, uh, for a, uh, for a, for a job and then I bought a place, um, before moving there.

[00:11:42] And then the week I come out, I'm the whole team is let go because, uh, some,

[00:11:49] one of the higher ups was doing something bad that I can't probably mention on here. Um,

[00:11:56] and so the whole team got let go. Cause I was like, there's no show anymore because

[00:12:00] the creator was a pervert and it's like, okay, great. So I was in a new place and I was just

[00:12:06] kind of bored and I was just like, you know, I'm going to add some stuff like to my demo reel.

[00:12:11] So I just wanted to animate for fun. So the first video I wanted to create was a video on Basset

[00:12:17] Hounds. Cause I have two Basset Hounds that are currently sleeping behind me and hopefully don't

[00:12:20] start waking up and annoying us during this podcast. Um, and my Basset Hound at the time,

[00:12:29] I just had one at the time, uh, Lester, he had like over 10,000 followers on Instagram.

[00:12:33] So I was like, Oh yeah, I'll do a video on like the origin of the Basset Hound and just kind of do

[00:12:37] it for fun. And I work on that for a few weeks and then I put it out for people to see. And I like

[00:12:46] shared onto their Instagram and stuff. And it got like 10,000 views in a couple of weeks. And I was

[00:12:51] like, I was pretty happy about that. But then I didn't want to keep going in that direction.

[00:12:57] Cause I was like, I don't really like, I don't like, I tell my friends, like, I'm not really a

[00:13:02] dog person. I'm like a Basset Hound person. It's like, I like, I love Basset Hounds. I just love them

[00:13:07] to death. So I didn't want to like make like videos on like Siamese cats, which I do have a Siamese

[00:13:12] cat. Although it was a cat that was like, I am. And but I was like, I don't want to do like a video

[00:13:20] on that or a video on the poodle or something. I want to do things that I love. So one day I was

[00:13:25] just bored. Uh, cause I was still unemployed and Netflix was, uh, just on my PS4 and I was like,

[00:13:32] well, I'll go see what's playing. And then I saw the Friday the 13th movies were,

[00:13:37] they had, they had like a bunch of them, a bunch of the middle of the sequel. So I was like, you know,

[00:13:41] I'll just, I haven't watched these in a decade or so. And I'll just toss these on and see if I still

[00:13:45] liked them. And I was just got like, I watched like three or four of them in a row. And I was like,

[00:13:52] man, Jason looks like weirdly different in each one of these movies. And I wonder if there's a video

[00:13:59] somewhere that shows me what he looks like in each one of these. And at the time, at least I,

[00:14:03] I couldn't find something that showed me that. And I was like, that's weird that there's nothing

[00:14:09] like that. So then I was like, Oh wait, I could make that video and I could animate it. And that

[00:14:14] could be the next video I do. And I was all excited. I told my girlfriend at the time, I was like,

[00:14:20] this is what I'm going to do. And she's like, you sure are you going to do that? Cause like

[00:14:22] your last video was about dogs. Well, let's confuse the, you know, a hundred subscribers you got.

[00:14:28] I was like, I don't care about those guys. I'm just going to do what I want.

[00:14:31] Yeah.

[00:14:32] I started like, just storyboarding out my ideas and scripting it out. And the next day

[00:14:39] I started designing all the Jasons and stuff. And then I released it. And like, it didn't do great

[00:14:46] on the first day, but then I shared it onto Reddit, onto a Friday the 13th subreddit.

[00:14:52] And then there was also a Friday the 13th, the game subreddit at the time. Cause I guess the game was

[00:14:56] pretty big around, I forget when I posted, 2017, 2018, when the servers were still alive.

[00:15:02] And so I shared it there. And the person who runs the game, the producer of the game,

[00:15:10] Wes, I forget his last name, but Wes something or other, he saw it and he commented and he was like,

[00:15:16] I really liked this video. I'm going to share it onto my Twitter. And I was like, okay, cool. Let me see

[00:15:20] who this person is. And I saw that he was the producer. And then I saw that he retweeted it with

[00:15:24] like the game subreddit. And then over the course of the weekend, like the video got like 100,000 views.

[00:15:29] And I was like, oh, people seem to like this. Maybe instead of like, you know, doing random videos

[00:15:36] every time, I can kind of like create a series out of this idea that I've started. So that's kind of

[00:15:42] like what got the ball rolling. So then I think the next one I did was Michael Myers and then Batman

[00:15:48] Xenomorph. And I've just covered, you know, things that I like. And then every now and then I'll do

[00:15:53] something that I not even too, super familiar with like Freddy Fazbear. Um, just cause people are

[00:15:59] asking for it a lot and I'm like, okay, yeah, so I'll keep, uh, that's just kind of how it started

[00:16:05] and then just kind of kept rolling with it. And it's been almost seven years since I started the channel.

[00:16:09] It's really funny because, uh, I do remember the Jason evolution coming out in 2017. And that's so

[00:16:16] funny. Cause they're like, wow, Jason really like made some YouTube channels popular because you had

[00:16:21] that. And then you had dead meat starting around the same time with the Friday, the 13th kill counts,

[00:16:25] um, which is pretty funny, but, uh, but yeah, I mean, and your channel has garnered a lot of

[00:16:31] popularity since then. Uh, at my last check, you've actually crossed over a 2 million subscribers

[00:16:37] over on YouTube, uh, which is pretty impressive.

[00:16:40] Yes, I have. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. We just crossed that over the course of the summer at

[00:16:44] some point. Um, and I keep meaning to like make a post.

[00:16:49] But I'm like, no, I should work on the video. I should work on the video that I'm working on.

[00:16:52] I can't be making posts all the time. Uh, but I, yeah, I do want to, like, it's something,

[00:16:58] it's crazy that it's gotten that high. Cause it's just something that I started just for fun. And people,

[00:17:04] like ask me like, Oh, like, how do you make like a YouTube channel? Like, how do you start a YouTube

[00:17:07] channel? Like, I didn't, I don't know. Cause I just started doing it. I don't know how you,

[00:17:12] how you start a YouTube channel and make it successful. You just, I just, you know,

[00:17:16] did it for fun. Yeah. That's true for us too. You know, you just, you just do it. You just do it

[00:17:21] because you like it and you do it for fun. And you know, if you're, if you're lucky, uh, or you put in

[00:17:27] the work, uh, it's one of the two, it, you know, one day you might find your audience and then you

[00:17:34] grow from there, or maybe somebody very, somebody more famous than you will come by and just be like,

[00:17:39] Oh, look at that. Um, cause it can happen sometimes, you know, like you just, yeah,

[00:17:45] sometimes it gets in the eyes of somebody who you don't even expect would see it. Um, but yeah,

[00:17:51] but I mean, just do it. And if you ever have an idea to make YouTube videos, just do it. Uh,

[00:17:56] cause you never know, you know, the audiences, YouTube is such a, a lucrative like platform now.

[00:18:03] Like it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger with every single year. Um, that you'd have to

[00:18:08] be crazy to just be like, you know, it's not worth it because it's totally worth it. This isn't

[00:18:13] in the YouTube of like 2007 where, you know, it was just a bunch of schmucks putting, you know,

[00:18:18] putting whatever they felt like the zoo. Yeah. Or the, then I was rewatching the,

[00:18:24] the new manuma guy again. Oh yeah. Yeah. Oh, I need to do like an internet binge someday.

[00:18:33] But, uh, yeah. Smosh back then. Yeah. Niggahiga. You had, uh,

[00:18:38] who else? Yeah. Like the evolution of dance. Like, oh, there was just some weird videos back then.

[00:18:44] Oh, Fred. Oh yeah.

[00:18:46] Fred orange and stuff like that. Oh, the orange.

[00:18:49] Oh, it's crazy. Some of these guys are like probably millionaires.

[00:18:54] It's like, oh, you're so annoying.

[00:18:58] But, uh, course correcting back over to goosebumps. So, uh, I, I, and I can assume that, uh, you know,

[00:19:05] you growing up with goosebumps, uh, probably had some effect on you becoming a horror fan, uh, which

[00:19:10] in turn affected your content, which is, uh, I mean it, it, for, for all of us, you know,

[00:19:15] goosebumps fans, you know, we became horror fans because of goosebumps. Um, yeah, which is

[00:19:20] absolutely true. But, you know, as you've established in your content, you know,

[00:19:25] popular characters are changing always. And sometimes it's the littlest changes and sometimes

[00:19:30] it's drastic changes. Uh, and goosebumps is no exception at all. I mean, these books have been

[00:19:36] around since 1992. It's been 32 years now, uh, since welcome to the dead house. The very first book

[00:19:42] came out and there's been lots of different characters. Mostly the popular ones are of

[00:19:47] course, the monsters. Those are the ones you always go to the books for. You always want to see.

[00:19:51] And those characters from their original inception, uh, in the original series have gone through many

[00:19:57] changes over the years, over the past few decades, whether it be because of just, you know, gradually

[00:20:02] changing style over time because different artists take over because they've been adapted overseas

[00:20:08] for international releases or for, uh, television and movies. These characters have changed a lot.

[00:20:14] So today we're going to take a look at as many different goosebumps monsters as we can take a look

[00:20:19] at and see how their designs have changed over time. Uh, and some of them are good designs. Some of

[00:20:27] them are bad designs. Some of them may actually look better than the ones that you may know. And some of

[00:20:32] them, you know, you probably don't want to ever see again after, after today. Uh, so we're going to

[00:20:39] take a look at as many as we can get and, uh, we're going to see which ones we like and which ones we

[00:20:44] do not like. So starting off, we are going to start off with the abominable snowman from

[00:20:49] the abominable snowman of Pasadena. Now starting off, we of course have Tim Jacobus art. And by the way,

[00:20:57] I should say, uh, I tried to make these as chronological as possible, but they're not perfect.

[00:21:02] Uh, so please don't yell at us in the comments that they're not 100% chronological. It's not much

[00:21:08] in, uh, and you know, linear evolution as just, uh, you know, look at how much they've changed.

[00:21:14] So of course we have the Tim Jacobus art here, very iconic. Everybody knows it. Then we go on to the

[00:21:20] Korean version of the book cover, much wider, much more ferocious and the movie version. Yeah.

[00:21:31] And a distinct lack of, yeah, I'm noticing that too. Yeah. And demonic. Then we have the Indonesian

[00:21:40] version, which is a little more big foot. Like, yeah. Yeah. It looks like Sasquatch.

[00:21:49] It's with like Gossamer from Looney Tunes. Yeah. Yeah. Then you have, uh, this is the version that

[00:21:58] appeared on, uh, merchant coloring books back in the nineties. Uh, pretty similar to the Tim Jacobus

[00:22:04] version though. He was forced to wear pants, unfortunately. So he wasn't, he wasn't able to,

[00:22:11] he wasn't able to just let it all hang out anymore. They, they, they forced him.

[00:22:15] Like, you're going to surf. You got to put on your board shorts, man. Yep.

[00:22:22] We've been trying to find for so long who did that art stuff. Like we just can't find who it was,

[00:22:28] you know, we will see a lot iconic. Yeah. But we will be looking at lots of different, uh,

[00:22:36] merch drawings of these characters because they were all over the place in the nineties.

[00:22:40] And then we have, uh, the version that appeared in goosebumps graphics designed by art, uh, by artist

[00:22:46] Scott Morris. Um, so you have on the left, you have the one that appeared on the cover and then on the

[00:22:52] right, you have the one that appeared in the actual, uh, graphic novel. Uh, I like the one on the left.

[00:22:58] I'm not too much of a fan of the more cartoony one, but, uh, it does look a lot more animalistic,

[00:23:04] uh, compared to some of the last ones that we saw. Then we have, it looks like it does. Yeah,

[00:23:12] I would, I agree. It does. Uh, oh, and then we have, uh, Brandon Dorman's version that appeared in

[00:23:20] the 2015 re-release of the Obama snowman Pasadena, a lot more monstrous looking. It doesn't look as much

[00:23:27] like a, you know, sort of primates. It looks very, uh, monstrous and, uh, very patchy fur too.

[00:23:36] What happened to his hand? I don't know. I'm missing something. I just now noticed that with

[00:23:41] this image blown up. That and the fact that it's got like a smile on his bald spot.

[00:23:47] I don't know what's up about it. Oh yeah, it kind of does.

[00:23:49] He has like two dots on the smile on there. It's so weird. Like, I never noticed that on the original

[00:23:56] cover because it was smaller and I just glanced at it, I guess. The things that you notice when

[00:24:01] it's right up and close. It's larger. It's like, God dang. And then we have, uh, yeah,

[00:24:07] if we get him on the podcast, we'll have to ask him about it. And then we have the concept art for

[00:24:12] the movie version. So this is not exactly how it appeared in the movie, but like the concept actually.

[00:24:18] Yeah. You can see on the left there. I agree. Yeah. A lot of the, but a lot of the concept

[00:24:25] art that we've seen for the movie looked way better than the finished product, like way creepier.

[00:24:30] Like if goosebumps was actually going to be appealing to the adult fans, you know, as opposed

[00:24:35] to like the kids and then they obviously went more, you know, bubbly, like kid friendly, but yeah,

[00:24:40] that looks fricking awesome, man. I like it.

[00:24:45] And then we have the final movie version, which honestly, yawn. I'm not a fan of the movie version.

[00:24:54] Yeah. Just kind of lucky man. Yeah, it is like a monkey man, except, you know, white instead of

[00:25:00] like those from Congo at the end of the film. Yeah. Yeah. Or it looks like a rampage almost

[00:25:07] like the Dwayne Johnson movie. Yeah. That was a good video game. Yeah. And then we have, uh,

[00:25:16] this is kind of similar to the Tim Jacobus art, but this is the version that appeared, uh, in the

[00:25:20] movie credits. Uh, it's a little bit different. It's a little more stylized cause they had to

[00:25:25] actually, you know, animate it. Um, but it's similar enough, but, uh, I felt in giving it a

[00:25:31] shout out here was necessary. And then finally, the most recent appearance is in the mobile game,

[00:25:37] goosebumps horror town. And, uh, you'll actually see quite a bit from this game too. Um, because

[00:25:42] horror town has adapted a lot of goosebumps books and characters. Um, but this is how he appears in that

[00:25:49] version. Um, very similar to the movie. You can definitely see the movie, uh, affected a lot of

[00:25:54] how it, the bombless snowman looks now compared to before time to move on to the next monster.

[00:26:01] And that is going to be count night wing from vampire breath. Starting off. We have, of course,

[00:26:07] the original Tim Jacobus art. It's a classic. That's the best version, the best version already.

[00:26:12] I'll answer that. Then we're diving into the, now I got to tell you some of the international

[00:26:17] releases are going to have great art and some of them are going to have goofy art and the French

[00:26:21] covers are goofy. So here is the French version of count night wing. Oh, I mean, like, I don't know.

[00:26:31] It's like a guy cosplaying as a vampire. Yeah. Yeah. It just does not look scary in the least,

[00:26:39] but here is the Korean version of count night wing. Uh, a little more Nosferrock. Yeah. Yeah. Um,

[00:26:50] but also a little like cartoony esque. So it's like that perfect in between. And then you have the

[00:26:56] TV show version, both the right and the left. So the right or the left one is what he is when he first

[00:27:02] wakes up. And then when he fully gets his vampire breath back, he turns into one on the right. Um,

[00:27:08] I really kind of liked, I like the actor who portrays him in the show. Um, but the look is

[00:27:13] kind of, you know, it's basically just a guy for mostly up. They even make a point to say he has no

[00:27:19] fangs because he took them out and left them somewhere. So he just kind of looks like a dude.

[00:27:25] That's pretty convenient. Exactly. This is such a weird take on vampires. Yeah. And then you have,

[00:27:33] uh, the version that appeared in the 2008 merch. Uh, so when horror land came back,

[00:27:38] they had a new artist come around and redesign some of the goosebumps monsters. And this was

[00:27:42] count nightwing, uh, definitely looks a lot more vampiric, more traditional Dracula

[00:27:48] esque. Uh, but he also has a case of the smurf itis apparently how blue he is.

[00:27:56] Eiffel 65 is going to come in and start singing.

[00:27:59] Eiffel 65 is going to be a new version of the movie.

[00:28:02] And then we have, uh, Brandon Dorman's version for the classic Goosebumps re-release.

[00:28:09] Uh, I don't mind Brandon Dorman's book.

[00:28:10] Yeah. I like this.

[00:28:11] He's a good artist, but I just, I don't like this one.

[00:28:15] Release the face.

[00:28:17] Hmm. It does look a little more cartoonist,

[00:28:20] cartoony, but I actually kind of like this one. I think it's

[00:28:24] better than that fricking, uh, French version or whatever.

[00:28:30] Well, and it might be better than the movie version.

[00:28:33] Well, I mean, that was a, that was good art too, but that was the thing that

[00:28:37] I just looked like that artist like asses grandpa saying, Hey, can you stand over here

[00:28:41] and wear this for me? Just be like that. I paint you. Yeah.

[00:28:45] So it looks like the movie version looks like the Korean, but like,

[00:28:50] yeah, but I don't know. There's something about it.

[00:28:53] The haunted mask more than the vampire.

[00:28:55] Yeah. The new haunted mask.

[00:28:58] Yeah. The new haunted mask. Yeah.

[00:29:00] Well, this is better than what the show did. So yeah.

[00:29:02] Uh, yeah. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan of movie count.

[00:29:07] I don't understand the, like the, the buck.

[00:29:16] It's so weird. Like, why is he like at his mouth like that in his teeth?

[00:29:20] Like I just don't. It's a very weird design.

[00:29:23] That's the voice I, that's the voice I hear when I see this photo.

[00:29:26] Oh,

[00:29:29] I'm gonna suck your blood.

[00:29:31] And then we have the horror town version, which is very different.

[00:29:37] Um, I actually, because he's a rocker in the horror town game.

[00:29:42] Exactly. I actually thought he was a female, uh, when I first saw this,

[00:29:46] I thought they were making a bold, uh, transition.

[00:29:49] Hey, it could be, it could be.

[00:29:51] Be careful what you're saying these days.

[00:29:54] Yeah. But no, it is, uh,

[00:29:56] he's got that rocking hair. But, uh, as much as I don't like the human-esque version,

[00:30:03] I do love the one on the right, the, uh, more monstrous, uh, bat version.

[00:30:08] Uh, I think that is really cool.

[00:30:11] Which is where they gave him hooves.

[00:30:12] I never even noticed that before.

[00:30:14] Well, I was in Hercules the TV series hairstyle.

[00:30:16] It does kind of look like that, like Hercules.

[00:30:19] Next up, we have the creeps from calling all creeps starting off,

[00:30:24] of course, with the Tim Jacobus art reptilian purple, you know, having a good time.

[00:30:31] Iconic.

[00:30:31] Yep.

[00:30:32] And we have the French version.

[00:30:36] It is similar.

[00:30:39] I'll give them that, but something about those eyes are, uh,

[00:30:43] like similar in color.

[00:30:45] Maybe.

[00:30:46] Yeah.

[00:30:46] Yeah.

[00:30:47] Someone described the Jacobus art to somebody and they're like, oh yeah, I got this.

[00:30:51] Yeah.

[00:30:52] Then we have the TV show.

[00:30:54] The TV show versions, which are yellow instead of purple.

[00:30:59] Hmm.

[00:31:00] But they are iconic.

[00:31:02] They had purple spot.

[00:31:03] Mm-hmm.

[00:31:04] I'm, I'm honestly glad they went more for like, it's sort of like a cross between a reptile

[00:31:11] and an amphibian.

[00:31:12] So it's not just a straight reptile.

[00:31:15] Um, but, uh, it's an interesting design.

[00:31:17] I just kind of wish it was purple instead of yellow.

[00:31:20] I don't know what it is, but then you have the movie version.

[00:31:25] Uh, it's like straight off the book cover.

[00:31:29] It is very, it is very close.

[00:31:34] That's like, I think they should have struck it back a little bit from the movie.

[00:31:38] Like that's literally one of my favorite designs from the movie.

[00:31:40] Cause I actually looked at Tim's art and went, Hey, let's try and do this.

[00:31:43] Like for real.

[00:31:44] Mm-hmm.

[00:31:44] I love the smile.

[00:31:45] He has them.

[00:31:46] Yeah.

[00:31:47] He's very happy.

[00:31:49] Super happy.

[00:31:50] No, I, I like the movie version.

[00:31:52] It's pretty, it's pretty close.

[00:31:53] They actually cared for some reason when they did that one.

[00:31:56] Yeah.

[00:31:57] And then we have the, uh, versions in download and die illustrated by Michelle Wong.

[00:32:02] Uh, these ones are alligators.

[00:32:05] They do look like alligators.

[00:32:06] They look like crocodile.

[00:32:08] Alligators, crocodiles, saltwater croc.

[00:32:10] The one second to the left looks like a saltwater crocodile.

[00:32:15] Yeah.

[00:32:16] Yeah.

[00:32:16] It's salty.

[00:32:18] It's nice to have all different colors though.

[00:32:20] I guess that kind of differentiates them.

[00:32:22] Yeah.

[00:32:22] Yeah.

[00:32:23] They can never just remain all purple.

[00:32:25] And then we have a horror town.

[00:32:27] Uh, so on the left is sort of the typical creep, but then you have like the creep king

[00:32:33] on the right.

[00:32:34] Uh, I mean, I like the one on the left.

[00:32:39] I don't know how I feel about the one on the right.

[00:32:42] Uh, it's not really.

[00:32:45] Took some of the.

[00:32:49] They went too far in some places.

[00:32:51] Yeah.

[00:32:52] Yeah.

[00:32:53] On the left.

[00:32:54] Yeah.

[00:32:54] Next up we have cuddles from monster blood too.

[00:32:59] So first up, we are actually starting off with concept art for the Tim Jacobus art.

[00:33:05] Uh, the face looks a little more like pointed out.

[00:33:09] The eyes are a little more like crossed, uh, the opposite ways.

[00:33:14] Uh, definitely looks a lot furrier too, but then we get to the actual Tim.

[00:33:19] It's like hamster bear.

[00:33:20] Yeah.

[00:33:21] Yeah.

[00:33:22] And, uh, here in the final version, the eyes are black with white pupils and, uh, the mouth

[00:33:29] is a lot more elongated with the monster blood dripping out.

[00:33:34] All right.

[00:33:35] And then we get to, uh,

[00:33:36] not doing what this covers because he had the did that was slappy too.

[00:33:40] He's like something about a mouth being open.

[00:33:42] It was just way scarier, like elongated.

[00:33:45] I love that in these.

[00:33:47] Maybe if that vampire from maybe if count nine, we did that in that.

[00:33:51] Yeah.

[00:33:52] Movie still.

[00:33:53] Uh, it wouldn't have looked so goofy.

[00:33:55] Maybe he should have opened his mouth there, you know, show those fangs rather than.

[00:34:03] And now we're moving on to, uh, so, so far I've said the French versions are the only doofy

[00:34:08] ones, but we're going to get into the UK ones now starting off with this.

[00:34:13] One, two, terrible.

[00:34:17] Oh shit.

[00:34:18] It's actually kind of terrifying.

[00:34:20] Like not even a lie.

[00:34:23] Yeah.

[00:34:23] I mean, it's disturbing to look at.

[00:34:26] The eye.

[00:34:26] I can't even look at that.

[00:34:29] Darian and the hands are like that.

[00:34:30] I'll probably get rid of it.

[00:34:33] So like, I can't tell who it's looking at or where it's looking.

[00:34:37] Like it's, it's looks like it's going in two different directions here and yeah.

[00:34:44] And then we have the French version.

[00:34:46] Like I can't.

[00:34:49] Oh no, that's kind of scary.

[00:34:50] Cause he's holding some.

[00:34:51] It's like, you know, it's like a kid.

[00:34:52] Mm-hmm.

[00:34:53] It is.

[00:34:53] You're going to get that kid.

[00:34:55] It kind of looks more like a big marmot.

[00:34:58] Yeah.

[00:34:59] That's probably my favorite French one.

[00:35:02] That's my favorite French one.

[00:35:03] Yeah.

[00:35:04] I like that.

[00:35:05] I don't talk too bad.

[00:35:06] That's pretty, um, creepy.

[00:35:07] I think just adding the kid in there.

[00:35:10] Just to show off the size.

[00:35:12] Yeah.

[00:35:12] I, I think it really works.

[00:35:14] And then we have, uh, this is a version that was on one of the tops cards.

[00:35:19] Uh, one of the tops trading cards.

[00:35:21] They had a big nine piece puzzle with a bunch of goosebumps characters.

[00:35:25] And this was cuddles on his card.

[00:35:28] Uh, it looks a lot more hamster.

[00:35:31] It's not as monstrous as the Tim Jacobus one, but it definitely was going for that kind of look.

[00:35:36] And it's design.

[00:35:38] Then we have, uh, the merch version.

[00:35:41] I mean, this honestly, I would argue this one's more iconic than the Tim Jacobus one.

[00:35:46] Cause when I think of cuddles, I think of this one.

[00:35:48] It's nice to get it.

[00:35:50] Yeah.

[00:35:50] I love that so much.

[00:35:52] Very classic.

[00:35:53] We have to find out who did this art and get them on there.

[00:35:56] Then we have, I have questions too.

[00:36:00] I would agree.

[00:36:01] Then we have the one that appeared at the goosebumps, harrowing fright show,

[00:36:06] the big costume version.

[00:36:09] You can barely see the face.

[00:36:11] I can see one of the crazy eyes there under the hair.

[00:36:15] Mm-hmm.

[00:36:16] It's definitely, uh,

[00:36:17] Oh, this is going to be hard to me to decide what's worse.

[00:36:19] That or the freaking UK version.

[00:36:22] Like I can't.

[00:36:23] Uh, there's a big costume too.

[00:36:25] Oh man.

[00:36:26] Like just an Ewok.

[00:36:29] It does look like an Ewok.

[00:36:31] Ewok who just didn't shave.

[00:36:33] And don't, don't disgrace the Ewoks like that.

[00:36:37] Oh, I love the Ewoks.

[00:36:39] I guess he has an Ewoks like ugly brother.

[00:36:42] So up until this point, we've had very monstrous versions.

[00:36:45] Are you guys ready to see what he looks like in horror town?

[00:36:49] Oh, that's the worst one.

[00:36:51] Got a beard.

[00:36:52] That's the worst one.

[00:36:54] Oh, I thought the UK one was going to be the worst.

[00:36:56] That is just, that was like an old man.

[00:36:59] It's not even monstrous.

[00:37:02] No.

[00:37:03] Okay.

[00:37:04] You take one.

[00:37:04] You somehow took a step up from that.

[00:37:06] Comes around the water bottle kids.

[00:37:08] Let me tell you.

[00:37:10] You believe I used to be 50 feet tall?

[00:37:13] You never would have guessed.

[00:37:15] And then it'd been a much better to me.

[00:37:19] Awesome.

[00:37:20] Those are my hundred days.

[00:37:22] Oh, they have an opportunity to make something way better than that.

[00:37:25] But oh, Jesus.

[00:37:26] We, uh, favorite and least favorite.

[00:37:29] I feel like I know what the least favorite might be.

[00:37:31] Well, this is, uh, this is definitely my least favorite.

[00:37:35] Because at least the other ones, while they didn't look great,

[00:37:40] they were terrifying in their own right.

[00:37:42] Mm-hmm.

[00:37:43] This is just, yeah.

[00:37:45] I mean, I know what it looked like because I played the game.

[00:37:47] It's been a while, but I played the game.

[00:37:49] God, this is definitely the worst.

[00:37:52] Mm-hmm.

[00:37:53] I agree.

[00:37:54] Yikes.

[00:37:54] Well, next up, we have one that didn't appear necessarily in a book, but everybody knows

[00:37:59] him if you know Goosebumps.

[00:38:01] It's Curly the Skeleton.

[00:38:03] Mm-hmm.

[00:38:04] So we're starting off with Cuddles.

[00:38:06] Uh, was, you know, uh, that one too.

[00:38:09] So it's okay.

[00:38:10] We'll move on.

[00:38:11] I thought you already said what your favorite one is.

[00:38:13] Just forget about, forget about Shaolin over here.

[00:38:15] Yeah.

[00:38:16] No!

[00:38:17] Well, great.

[00:38:18] Next up.

[00:38:19] What was your favorite Cuddles?

[00:38:21] What was your favorite Cuddles?

[00:38:23] Terrible host.

[00:38:24] God.

[00:38:26] Yeah.

[00:38:27] Are you hosting?

[00:38:28] That one.

[00:38:28] I'm gonna write a Yelp.

[00:38:29] I'm gonna write a Yelp review after this.

[00:38:32] Yeah.

[00:38:32] You just go ahead and try.

[00:38:34] All right.

[00:38:35] Starting off with Curly, we have the merchandise version.

[00:38:38] Uh, I mean, this is the one you probably saw on all the merchandise back then was this

[00:38:44] version, uh, with the mohawk and the red eyes and the glasses and the scarf.

[00:38:50] Like this was the iconic version of Curly.

[00:38:52] Uh, he did appear of course on many, many a Tim Jacobus arts, uh, mostly for tails to

[00:38:59] give you goosebumps.

[00:38:59] I just included these two because they were the most basic.

[00:39:03] Um, I don't know if he was ever told this, but, or ever asked this, but I'm pretty sure

[00:39:07] that he modeled his version of Curly based on himself a little bit.

[00:39:12] Something about that, that, uh,

[00:39:14] Oh, I see it.

[00:39:16] Yeah.

[00:39:16] I see it.

[00:39:18] You know what I mean?

[00:39:19] It kind of looks like it has like his, his hair a little bit.

[00:39:22] It was because red condo shoes on too that Tim loved to wear all the time.

[00:39:26] Yeah.

[00:39:29] And then we have, uh, I, I included this.

[00:39:33] I try not to do a lot of merch, like actual merchandise because I felt like, you know,

[00:39:38] some of the clip art covering the merch, but I just had to bring special attention to this shirt.

[00:39:43] Uh, oh my God.

[00:39:46] That's hideous.

[00:39:47] Yeah.

[00:39:49] It's, I don't know.

[00:39:50] I don't know.

[00:39:51] I don't like that.

[00:39:52] Something about not seeing his eyes is a little creepy slash goofy.

[00:39:58] I don't know what it is, but, uh, yeah, only on this shirt.

[00:40:02] Weird.

[00:40:03] Yeah.

[00:40:04] The, uh, the, what I said earlier about Tim saying the elongated mouth open makes things

[00:40:10] scarier.

[00:40:10] That does not apply here at all.

[00:40:13] This might be the first time I've ever seen a elongated piece of goosebumps art though.

[00:40:18] I'm not sitting there going, Oh, that, that, that doesn't work.

[00:40:22] But imagine what you were a kid and like you, you asked your mom for a goosebumps shirt and

[00:40:28] that's the one that she brought home for you. Like you would be so disappointed.

[00:40:34] Is that all you think of me?

[00:40:36] Is this funny to you?

[00:40:40] It's really a joke.

[00:40:41] You're at the store and I'm like, can I get that goosebumps shirt?

[00:40:44] We got that goosebumps shirt at home.

[00:40:46] And it's back.

[00:40:51] Oh man.

[00:40:53] Then we have the stage show version, which is basically a big, I love that.

[00:40:58] It looks exactly like the cartoon one though. Like they really tried to model it with the glasses

[00:41:03] and you can see the mud hawk underneath that. Um, I, I always liked the stage show version.

[00:41:09] I thought it looked pretty close to the, um, the cartoony mascot one that we saw on all the

[00:41:15] two thousand eight merch. I think it looked pretty, pretty close.

[00:41:18] Yeah. Works pretty well. You know, the skeleton.

[00:41:20] Yeah. And then we have, uh, the 2008 merch version, uh, that appeared on all the 2000s,

[00:41:29] 2010 merch. It's pretty similar to the original, uh, just more, you know,

[00:41:33] in the trick or tree studios. They ended up going with this version.

[00:41:37] It's definitely the more modernized version of him.

[00:41:40] Yeah, definitely way more handsome and kind of chiseled for a skeleton.

[00:41:43] Yeah. He's suave. Yeah. He's very muscular in his bones.

[00:41:47] It looks almost like he made sure when he was alive, he drank his milk.

[00:41:51] So plenty of kids out there. Yeah.

[00:41:57] Of milk?

[00:41:59] My bones are so brittle, but I drink plenty of milk.

[00:42:06] Love that.

[00:42:06] Yeah.

[00:42:07] It's an earnest, earnest scared, stupid joke for you young kids out there.

[00:42:12] Ernest scared, stupid.

[00:42:13] Oh, that's one of the ones every Halloween. I love that movie.

[00:42:16] Then we have the version that appeared in Monsters at Midnight, uh, from artist Chris Fanon.

[00:42:22] Look at the Mohawk, man.

[00:42:24] Yeah, that is quite a Mohawk right there.

[00:42:26] That is a rockin' 90s Mohawk.

[00:42:29] That's a true Mohawk.

[00:42:30] And the ponytail in the back there.

[00:42:33] The rat tail in the back.

[00:42:34] Yeah, the ponytail, yeah.

[00:42:37] And then we have the one that appeared in Download and Die by Michelle Wong.

[00:42:42] Uh, that's not...

[00:42:44] It's all right.

[00:42:45] A little better than that one before.

[00:42:48] And then we have Horror Town.

[00:42:50] I actually like this one.

[00:42:52] I really like the glasses.

[00:42:53] Yeah, I like Horror Town.

[00:42:54] One of the few designs Horror Town did that I actually like.

[00:42:58] Next monster are the egg monsters.

[00:43:02] And...

[00:43:02] They've had designs?

[00:43:04] More than two designs?

[00:43:05] Oh yeah.

[00:43:06] Surprising enough.

[00:43:06] I was gonna say, I didn't realize they had that many designs.

[00:43:10] Starting off with the concept art for the Team Jacobus artwork.

[00:43:14] These ones, the concept art made them look a lot more slimy.

[00:43:17] Uh, than they do in the final version.

[00:43:20] They were definitely more like gooey ooey gooey.

[00:43:23] Uh, with sort of normal people eyes.

[00:43:26] But then you get to the final one.

[00:43:29] And it's definitely a lot more pulpy, chunky sort of egg monster.

[00:43:34] With the black eyes and the white pupils.

[00:43:37] Very iconic.

[00:43:39] Then we have, uh...

[00:43:40] I think Chamberlain wins this one.

[00:43:41] The French version.

[00:43:44] And...

[00:43:45] Oh!

[00:43:46] Oh!

[00:43:46] Oh!

[00:43:47] He just...

[00:43:47] He looks kinda creepy, I will admit.

[00:43:50] But like...

[00:43:50] He look, yeah.

[00:43:51] He looks scarier than what the egg monsters with eyeballs all in him.

[00:43:56] Yeah.

[00:43:56] I don't know.

[00:43:57] The egg monsters are creepy in this version.

[00:43:59] But probably not for the reasons they intended.

[00:44:04] But you know what?

[00:44:05] Definitely not for the reason.

[00:44:05] He looks so creepy that I wouldn't...

[00:44:07] I don't even know if this would be the worst one.

[00:44:09] Because I think he looks pretty cool.

[00:44:11] I like the design, you know.

[00:44:13] But the egg monsters just look really ridiculous.

[00:44:16] Just like egg...

[00:44:17] It just looks like egg yolk with eyes.

[00:44:19] Well, if you want to see ridiculous, let's check out the versions.

[00:44:23] It's like the wrong color.

[00:44:24] Let's check out the versions that are weird.

[00:44:26] He looks like Will Ferrell when he played Harry Carey.

[00:44:29] Anybody know what I'm talking about?

[00:44:30] Eh, not really.

[00:44:32] Oh, you should look it up.

[00:44:33] It is funny, but...

[00:44:34] Well, if you want to see ridiculous,

[00:44:36] I'm gonna have to point you over to the version that appeared in the comic.

[00:44:41] Oh!

[00:44:41] A magazine comic.

[00:44:44] Look at these ones.

[00:44:51] Quite different.

[00:44:52] What the hell is this?

[00:44:57] Teenage Mutant Ninja egg monsters.

[00:45:02] I still think they have more character, though, somehow.

[00:45:05] Than the yolk with eyes.

[00:45:08] I mean, they look interesting.

[00:45:12] Suction cup arms.

[00:45:14] It looks like it.

[00:45:16] They look very alien octopi.

[00:45:22] They're meant to be egg monsters from Mars.

[00:45:24] They kind of do look like they're from monsters.

[00:45:27] Yeah.

[00:45:28] That's the only thing I did.

[00:45:29] Definitely more alien.

[00:45:32] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:45:33] Yeah.

[00:45:33] They're pretty interesting, though.

[00:45:35] Then we had the one that appeared on the 90s merch.

[00:45:39] Not as common as some of the other ones, but you would have seen it.

[00:45:44] You know what?

[00:45:45] That design was used later a lot.

[00:45:48] Any of the merch that I had from 90, 98 was used.

[00:45:52] Pretty much everything.

[00:45:54] That was more of a...

[00:45:55] I don't know.

[00:45:56] They were getting bored with the other ones and they started going a little outside the box.

[00:46:00] He didn't show up until maybe the later merch.

[00:46:03] But yeah, no.

[00:46:05] I think anywhere from like 98 to 2000 was when they would use that sort of design.

[00:46:11] Here's the...

[00:46:12] Yeah, not as common.

[00:46:13] Well, here's the 2008 one.

[00:46:17] And I'm going to be honest.

[00:46:19] I like this one the most.

[00:46:22] Really?

[00:46:23] Really?

[00:46:23] Yeah.

[00:46:24] I really like the...

[00:46:25] Because this one had like the appearance of the arms and legs, but this one is like something

[00:46:30] about like just this gelatinous goop with arms there.

[00:46:35] So it's like crawling like that is just creepier in a way.

[00:46:40] And they secretly put the G on the ground with this slimy.

[00:46:45] Yeah.

[00:46:48] That's funny.

[00:46:49] Cool.

[00:46:49] That was like body horror.

[00:46:50] Mm-hmm.

[00:46:51] Yeah, it is very body horror-esque in the way it looks.

[00:46:56] And then you have the Horror Town versions.

[00:46:59] Oh, what the hell?

[00:47:02] Yeah, dude.

[00:47:02] It looked like a pile of shit.

[00:47:04] Like straight up poop emoji.

[00:47:07] Yeah.

[00:47:09] Yeah.

[00:47:09] Didn't look like eggs at all.

[00:47:11] I feel like our thing with Horror Town is it's either going to look great or it's

[00:47:15] going to look like caca poopoo.

[00:47:18] In this case, quite literally the latter.

[00:47:21] Yeah, quite literally here.

[00:47:23] Speaking of horror, we got the horrors from One Day at Horrorland.

[00:47:28] Yeah.

[00:47:29] All right.

[00:47:30] Starting off with the Tim Jacobus version.

[00:47:33] Pretty, you know, pretty basic design.

[00:47:36] You know, well, basic, I mean, pretty iconic design.

[00:47:39] It's the one that would carry out from here on out, like most of them.

[00:47:43] Then we have, get ready for this one.

[00:47:45] Then we have the UK version.

[00:47:49] What the hell is it?

[00:47:51] Like an elf.

[00:47:52] Already voting worst one.

[00:47:55] Yeah.

[00:47:56] Yeah.

[00:47:56] Well, you haven't also seen.

[00:47:57] I don't even have to see it either.

[00:47:58] You haven't seen the French version yet.

[00:48:03] That looks like that's bad, but still better than that UK thing.

[00:48:11] Why is it giant?

[00:48:12] Why is it got like a pig nose and why does it look like King Kong?

[00:48:15] Yeah.

[00:48:17] Weird.

[00:48:19] Then we have the Dutch cover.

[00:48:23] Oh, interesting.

[00:48:26] I've never seen that.

[00:48:27] That's why I've never seen this cover.

[00:48:29] It's an interesting cover.

[00:48:31] It's got blood dripping out of its mouth too.

[00:48:35] I like that.

[00:48:36] It's so weird that I like it.

[00:48:38] I want that book too.

[00:48:39] I want to buy that.

[00:48:40] Then we have the Korean version.

[00:48:43] I mean, well,

[00:48:46] like something.

[00:48:49] Not even a 10 year old,

[00:48:50] like something like my five-year-old cousin's kid would draw.

[00:48:55] Yeah.

[00:48:56] This is like finger painting.

[00:48:58] Yeah.

[00:48:58] What?

[00:48:58] And somehow made it to a book cover.

[00:49:01] I don't know.

[00:49:02] How was that approved?

[00:49:03] I don't know.

[00:49:04] What if it was?

[00:49:05] That's what I'm saying.

[00:49:05] How is this?

[00:49:07] Mommy, mommy can look at my drawing.

[00:49:10] And then she's like, you better make sure.

[00:49:11] She like tells the husband, make sure you put that on the book cover.

[00:49:14] But we can't.

[00:49:16] Don't upset your daughter.

[00:49:17] Yeah.

[00:49:18] Yeah.

[00:49:18] We don't want to sleep on the couch.

[00:49:20] Let's wash our eyes out of some of those with return to horror land from Tim Jacobus.

[00:49:29] That could be my favorite one, honestly.

[00:49:33] I love the series 2000.

[00:49:35] I fucking love it.

[00:49:37] I grew up with it.

[00:49:38] It was around when I was a kid.

[00:49:39] And I think that, I think that's great.

[00:49:42] Yeah.

[00:49:43] I love it.

[00:49:43] It wasn't amazing.

[00:49:44] But cover is great.

[00:49:47] Yeah.

[00:49:48] And then we have another French cover that was for this book.

[00:49:54] Oh, better than the other one.

[00:49:56] I mean, I was about to say, it's better than some of the other French covers we've looked at so far.

[00:50:01] Yeah.

[00:50:02] Got a big head, big forehead.

[00:50:04] I can actually look at this one without my eyes hurting.

[00:50:07] So that's a plus.

[00:50:09] Then we have the merch.

[00:50:11] So this was like, you know, the horrors are not one particular person, but on the merch, it was one horror.

[00:50:18] And it was this guy with the white shirt, white muscle shirt and the ripped shorts.

[00:50:23] Yeah.

[00:50:25] Yeah.

[00:50:25] This guy's jacked.

[00:50:26] Yeah.

[00:50:27] He is swole.

[00:50:28] With the tattoo.

[00:50:30] Yeah.

[00:50:32] He's tough.

[00:50:33] That's not cool.

[00:50:33] Yeah.

[00:50:34] Yeah.

[00:50:34] Then we have the TV show horrors.

[00:50:38] So these are basically, these are basically ripped from the book, uh, from the book cover with the horns that go all the way around and then go back out.

[00:50:48] Um, we mentioned it in our, um, we mentioned it in our, uh, one of our other episodes where we talked about, um, you know, costumes and masks.

[00:50:58] That's what it was.

[00:50:59] Um, I really love the ones that have like the actual eyes and mouth and the ones that have like sort of the still face.

[00:51:07] I'm not super big on, um, but you're able to get a lot more expression out of the ones on the top than the ones on the bottom.

[00:51:15] Yeah.

[00:51:16] Yeah.

[00:51:16] Yeah.

[00:51:16] The closeups.

[00:51:18] Yeah.

[00:51:19] Well, that's why they probably saved some of those, you know, like stiller faces for the background, but every now and again, you got one that would talk and their mouth wouldn't move, but sound would come out.

[00:51:28] So it's like, how does that work?

[00:51:30] Yeah.

[00:51:31] It's like the plan of the apes original series where like they have like the makeup people and they're like, okay, these are the ones that are up close to the camera.

[00:51:39] And then you have like the ones that were like masks in the back and like for some of the sequels, it got real rough.

[00:51:43] Yeah.

[00:51:45] Definitely.

[00:51:46] Yeah.

[00:51:46] And we have, uh, the goosebumps graphics version that was illustrated by Jill Thompson.

[00:51:52] There was multiple, but I chose these two because I thought they were the most, uh, iconic versions.

[00:51:58] Um, I think they look pretty okay.

[00:52:03] Yeah.

[00:52:04] The one on the rock.

[00:52:05] I'm fairly certain that I saw that one on the left in Walmart the other day.

[00:52:11] You just saw it.

[00:52:14] I saw that same exact thing.

[00:52:18] The other day shopping, it was so strange.

[00:52:22] What do you know?

[00:52:24] Then we have, uh, the ones that appeared in the 2008 merch.

[00:52:28] Uh, you have this one on the left that has pupil dies and the one on the right that has just plain yellow eyes.

[00:52:34] Probably the coincide with the video game.

[00:52:39] Probably.

[00:52:40] But I don't remember the ones in the game having a tail.

[00:52:42] That's interesting.

[00:52:44] Yeah, it is interesting.

[00:52:45] I could be wrong.

[00:52:46] Also another, uh, G at the bottom on the left.

[00:52:49] The, the, the tickets.

[00:52:50] Oh yeah.

[00:52:51] Of course.

[00:52:52] Sneak a G in there.

[00:52:55] Then we have, uh, the ones that appeared in the trailer for the Horoland books.

[00:52:59] Pretty standard.

[00:53:00] They're just kind of different colors.

[00:53:02] You even got an orange one back there, which is weird.

[00:53:04] But then you had the ones that actually appeared in the books of the Horoland series.

[00:53:10] Um, I think they're okay.

[00:53:12] They're definitely a lot stockier, a lot more, you know, rounder in shape.

[00:53:18] Um, yeah.

[00:53:19] More troll goblin route.

[00:53:21] Yeah.

[00:53:22] Then you have, uh, the video game, uh, which definitely looks, oh, these are kind of the definitive designs for me.

[00:53:30] The sort of like just green yellow eyes and the rounded horns.

[00:53:35] Um, not quite the same as the book, the Tim Jacobus art.

[00:53:39] But when I think of horrors, I think of this one or the nineties merch version.

[00:53:44] And then we have, uh, Irk from Montage is a midnight.

[00:53:48] Chris Vaneglio.

[00:53:49] Uh, Irk is a horror.

[00:53:52] I did not know that until I did my research, but yeah, Irk is technically a type of horror, uh, in that story, which is interesting.

[00:54:00] And then finally we have horror town with the horror.

[00:54:06] Not bad.

[00:54:08] Not bad at all.

[00:54:09] Went from, he's been in the gym a lot compared to that Horoland book series once.

[00:54:14] Yeah.

[00:54:15] Yeah.

[00:54:15] He probably got fat shamed.

[00:54:18] He's got a 10.

[00:54:18] And I was like, yeah.

[00:54:20] Well, it's time to move on to the lawn gnomes from revenge of the lawn gnomes.

[00:54:24] Starting off, we have concept art for Tim Jacobus.

[00:54:28] Uh, and I had to include, of course, you know, the, the original concept art and also this image that Tim originally wanted to have that lawn gnome picking his nose.

[00:54:39] But Scholastic told him they had, he had to change it.

[00:54:42] So we got the final concept art.

[00:54:45] Teaching kids bad habits.

[00:54:49] It's iconic.

[00:54:51] Then we have the Spanish versions.

[00:54:54] That's okay.

[00:54:56] That's all right.

[00:54:57] That's kind of creepy looking.

[00:54:59] Yeah.

[00:54:59] They're freaky.

[00:55:01] Yeah.

[00:55:01] That's pretty good.

[00:55:03] Mm-hmm.

[00:55:03] And then we have the Korean art.

[00:55:06] Ooh.

[00:55:07] What the hell?

[00:55:09] Scary kids.

[00:55:09] This looks like killer elves.

[00:55:12] Uh, that went psycho at Santa's workshop.

[00:55:16] That's actually kind of like eating the kids or something.

[00:55:21] Yeah.

[00:55:21] Other countries can just think murder on their covers.

[00:55:24] Like, yeah.

[00:55:24] Yeah.

[00:55:25] That was actually pretty cool.

[00:55:27] Italian version.

[00:55:29] Whoa.

[00:55:30] Okay.

[00:55:31] Ooh.

[00:55:32] That took inspiration from the TV show.

[00:55:34] That's TV show inspiration.

[00:55:35] The color scheme.

[00:55:37] The color scheme.

[00:55:38] Speaking of TV show.

[00:55:39] Wow.

[00:55:40] The TV show is next.

[00:55:43] So, you know.

[00:55:43] My favorite.

[00:55:44] Yep.

[00:55:45] Hat and Chip, I think, are their names.

[00:55:48] Or Happ and Chip are their canonical names.

[00:55:51] Yeah.

[00:55:52] But, uh, they're great designs.

[00:55:55] Then we have the Goosebumps graphics versions done by Dean Haspiel.

[00:56:03] Eh, they're okay.

[00:56:05] They're meh.

[00:56:06] Got the Smurf stuff going on.

[00:56:09] They do look Smurfish.

[00:56:10] And then we have, uh, Brandon Dorman's version for classic Goosebumps.

[00:56:16] See, I don't mind that.

[00:56:18] It's all right.

[00:56:18] No, they're okay.

[00:56:20] They look creepy.

[00:56:21] What a little goblin-esque.

[00:56:24] Mm-hmm.

[00:56:25] More than Long Gnomes.

[00:56:26] It's like he went, he tried to go too monstrous with them.

[00:56:29] And then Brandon Dorman took another crack at them for Most Wanted for Planet of the Law Gnomes.

[00:56:37] Ooh.

[00:56:38] They're a little streaky.

[00:56:40] And then...

[00:56:41] What are, it's just...

[00:56:42] I can see those gnomes.

[00:56:43] Like, lawn gnomes.

[00:56:44] Yeah.

[00:56:45] And then we have the Korean version of this book, Planet of the Law Gnomes.

[00:56:52] Oh, I don't know.

[00:56:54] They look like Babadook.

[00:56:55] The Babadook drawings.

[00:56:58] Yeah, right?

[00:57:00] Moving on to the movie.

[00:57:01] That's kind of creepy.

[00:57:01] Like, it's creepy in a different way.

[00:57:04] Like, it's...

[00:57:04] It's creepy in a...

[00:57:05] It's not...

[00:57:06] Gnomes.

[00:57:09] We have the movie concept art.

[00:57:13] Nah.

[00:57:14] Ooh.

[00:57:15] Those are creepier than what we actually got.

[00:57:18] This is what we actually got in the movie.

[00:57:21] Mm-hmm.

[00:57:22] But again...

[00:57:22] It's not as bad as the graphic version.

[00:57:23] Those actually look like lawn gnomes.

[00:57:26] So...

[00:57:26] It's still better than the graphics, though.

[00:57:29] I have one of those numbers.

[00:57:31] And then we got four different versions in video game form.

[00:57:35] All pretty similar to each other.

[00:57:37] We had Goosebumps Night of Scares.

[00:57:39] The 2015 point-and-click game.

[00:57:42] Goosebumps Dead of Night.

[00:57:43] And then Horror Town.

[00:57:45] Pretty similar.

[00:57:47] So I just slapped them all on the same slide.

[00:57:49] And then finally, we have Goosebumps 2 Haunted Halloween.

[00:57:54] Left is the regular version.

[00:57:56] And the right is the zombified version.

[00:58:02] Yeah.

[00:58:02] A little spookier than the movies.

[00:58:05] Mm-hmm.

[00:58:05] I like them more than the movie versions.

[00:58:08] All right.

[00:58:08] It's time to move on to the Masked Mutant from Attack of the Mutant.

[00:58:13] Starting off...

[00:58:14] Yeah, yeah.

[00:58:14] We have the Tin Jacobus concept art.

[00:58:19] Definitely more swole in the concept art.

[00:58:21] But then we got the actual artwork.

[00:58:26] Very Batman-esque.

[00:58:32] Then...

[00:58:32] Yeah, I like that.

[00:58:33] We have the French...

[00:58:35] Oh, no.

[00:58:36] The UK version.

[00:58:37] This is the UK version.

[00:58:38] The UK.

[00:58:38] Oh, my God.

[00:58:40] Man.

[00:58:41] Okay.

[00:58:42] No.

[00:58:43] And then the French version.

[00:58:47] Oh.

[00:58:48] Oh.

[00:58:49] Didn't think it could get worse.

[00:58:50] Look at this.

[00:58:52] Ah.

[00:58:52] Looks like Blank Man.

[00:58:53] Why does it look like?

[00:58:55] Bargain bin flash.

[00:58:57] It does.

[00:58:58] Right?

[00:58:59] We've had one good French one so far, and it was Cuddles.

[00:59:03] I'm telling you guys, the French and UK ones will probably disappoint you.

[00:59:09] Then we have...

[00:59:11] There's the old diamond...

[00:59:13] There's the old gem in there, but far out.

[00:59:15] Most of them were just bad.

[00:59:17] Well, let's cleanse our eyes with the TV show version.

[00:59:21] So we got Scott Wakeler in the costume.

[00:59:25] Really good.

[00:59:26] Love this design.

[00:59:27] Honestly, probably my favorite.

[00:59:30] Oh, those are my favorite.

[00:59:31] 100%.

[00:59:32] And then we have the comic version that appears in the episode.

[00:59:35] Pretty much the same, just the eyes are white instead of, you know, cut out.

[00:59:40] But I like the comic version.

[00:59:42] It's very stylized.

[00:59:44] Then we have the one that appears in the point-and-click video game, Attack of the Mutant.

[00:59:49] Very purple and yellow-esque.

[00:59:53] Not a fan of the race.

[00:59:54] Very berserk.

[00:59:56] It is very berserk-like, I would say.

[00:59:59] And then we have the DVD cover version.

[01:00:05] And then Horror Town.

[01:00:07] Horror Town looks a lot like the TV show version.

[01:00:11] Like, almost down to the wire.

[01:00:13] They very much took the TV show version.

[01:00:17] All right.

[01:00:18] Next up is Monster Blood.

[01:00:20] So we took a look at Cuddles, but let's take a look at the blood itself.

[01:00:24] Monster Blood change.

[01:00:27] With the original.

[01:00:29] Basically, just, you know, gelatinous goop.

[01:00:31] This is going to be a weird one because, for the most part, Monster Blood is just kind of a liquid or gooey figure.

[01:00:38] But let's take a look at the first of two UK Nickelodeon slimes.

[01:00:45] Here's the first UK cover.

[01:00:48] Oh, what?

[01:00:50] So the Monster Blood itself is bubbly.

[01:00:53] It looks almost like fizzy.

[01:00:56] It's a pumpkin.

[01:00:56] It's just a pumpkin thing.

[01:00:58] I don't know why it's an open jack-o-lanter pail.

[01:01:01] Yeah.

[01:01:02] They should have just made the whole book.

[01:01:04] It's like...

[01:01:05] It's a McDonald's jack-o-lanter pail.

[01:01:07] You know what?

[01:01:07] They didn't even need to put anything on it.

[01:01:10] They could have literally just had only the bubbles on it, but the bubbles were green.

[01:01:14] Like, that's it.

[01:01:14] You didn't need anything else.

[01:01:17] Just bubbles that are green.

[01:01:19] Well...

[01:01:20] With that, yeah.

[01:01:21] This one probably looks a lot better than the UK cover for Monster Blood 3.

[01:01:29] What is it?

[01:01:32] That's apparently the Monster Blood.

[01:01:35] But what is it?

[01:01:36] Doesn't have eyes?

[01:01:39] Snake eyes?

[01:01:39] You tell me.

[01:01:40] I know just as much as you do.

[01:01:46] It's rough.

[01:01:48] Let's take a look at the...

[01:01:49] You know, I had somebody ask me who the artist was for the UK books.

[01:01:52] I'm like, look, I have no idea.

[01:01:53] I was like, and I'd be afraid to get them on the podcast or so.

[01:01:58] Just be like, what were you thinking?

[01:02:02] And the French artists.

[01:02:03] French artists.

[01:02:05] Oh, God.

[01:02:06] I was getting the French artists.

[01:02:07] Forget about it.

[01:02:08] The French artists.

[01:02:09] Hang on.

[01:02:10] Hang on.

[01:02:11] It could be okay.

[01:02:12] Well, let's move on to the Korean art.

[01:02:15] Look at this one.

[01:02:18] Very...

[01:02:18] I mean...

[01:02:19] It's better than the UK one.

[01:02:22] Looks like a big snot monster.

[01:02:26] Yeah.

[01:02:27] Looks like some of the real Ghostbusters.

[01:02:29] Anybody ever watch that cartoon?

[01:02:31] Yep.

[01:02:32] And then we have the Italian version.

[01:02:36] Oh, my God.

[01:02:38] What the hell?

[01:02:39] Barely what?

[01:02:41] What?

[01:02:42] I've never seen it.

[01:02:43] The Vietnamese version.

[01:02:47] I like this one.

[01:02:48] Yeah.

[01:02:49] I like the composition.

[01:02:50] Okay.

[01:02:50] At least that's...

[01:02:54] It's a good one.

[01:02:56] It's got the goo.

[01:02:57] We have the TV show version, which kind of fluctuates between being almost like oobleck

[01:03:03] sort of substance to a big gelatinous blob at the end of the first episode and in more

[01:03:11] monster blood.

[01:03:13] It kind of changes between what kind of substance it is.

[01:03:18] But not much to say about the TV show one.

[01:03:20] Then we have the classic Goosebumps Brandon Dorman art for Monster Boy 1.

[01:03:26] Okay.

[01:03:27] That's pretty good.

[01:03:29] I like it.

[01:03:29] I mean, that's not too bad.

[01:03:31] And then we have the Harlan.

[01:03:36] So, two different versions.

[01:03:39] Save the Froot Loops.

[01:03:42] Save the Froot Loops.

[01:03:46] He's looking at the Froot Loops.

[01:03:49] Yeah.

[01:03:51] To me, it almost looks like when I was a kid and you would see this far away, it almost

[01:03:55] looked like the monster blood was like flipping a little pan.

[01:03:58] It was like making breakfast.

[01:04:00] Oh, yeah.

[01:04:02] A little bit.

[01:04:03] Then you have the DVD, which is very thin for monster blood.

[01:04:10] Almost looks like just green water.

[01:04:14] And then we go...

[01:04:15] And it looks like they tried to copy...

[01:04:19] Which one was it?

[01:04:21] Was it the Deep Trouble one that they superimposed animals in the episode?

[01:04:28] Sort of.

[01:04:29] But it looks like it's definitely going for the...

[01:04:32] And it was very bad, like Photoshopped in there kind of a deal.

[01:04:35] And that's what that rat looks like.

[01:04:37] Oh.

[01:04:38] You're talking about the rat.

[01:04:39] I thought you were talking about the monster blood.

[01:04:40] And I was like, well, it looks more like the Tim Jacobus art.

[01:04:42] No, I was just using it as an example.

[01:04:44] I mean, yeah.

[01:04:44] That monster blood is very thin.

[01:04:46] I mean, you can see the height through it.

[01:04:48] I mean, it's...

[01:04:49] But that rat there, it's like...

[01:04:51] Let's just Photoshop something in there.

[01:04:52] What do you got?

[01:04:54] Well, we have...

[01:04:56] The video game for the 2015 game.

[01:04:59] So on the left three are concept art.

[01:05:02] And then the one on the right is in the final game.

[01:05:05] I like the far left one.

[01:05:08] I think it was kind of creepy.

[01:05:09] Mm-hmm.

[01:05:11] And then the one on, like, the second to right

[01:05:14] has, like, those big hands coming out.

[01:05:16] I think that's kind of cool.

[01:05:18] But the one that appeared in game is basically just a gelatinous goop.

[01:05:22] No form really whatsoever.

[01:05:24] Yeah.

[01:05:25] And then, like, finally have...

[01:05:27] Monster blood try to imitate the mud monster in that one, though.

[01:05:31] And then we have the one that appeared in Slappy World.

[01:05:36] That's fine.

[01:05:37] Mm-hmm.

[01:05:38] The UK ones are the worst.

[01:05:42] Are we going to say that right now?

[01:05:43] The worst ones are the UK ones?

[01:05:46] Yeah.

[01:05:47] Both of them.

[01:05:48] Just both of them.

[01:05:49] They're bad.

[01:05:50] They're terrible.

[01:05:52] I bet you guys didn't know that Monster Blood had so many designs.

[01:05:56] Or, uh...

[01:05:57] Jolanus Goop.

[01:05:58] I mean...

[01:05:59] Well, next up, you mentioned Mud Monsters.

[01:06:02] That is exactly what's up next.

[01:06:03] The Mud Monsters from You Can't Scare Me.

[01:06:05] You Can't Scare Me.

[01:06:07] Starting off with the concept art, of course.

[01:06:10] Pretty similar to the final version.

[01:06:12] Some of them just look a little more, uh...

[01:06:14] You know, very slimy as opposed to some of the others.

[01:06:17] But then, of course, we have the Tim Jacobus final.

[01:06:20] Angles.

[01:06:21] Yeah.

[01:06:21] Classic.

[01:06:21] This is amazing.

[01:06:23] This is one of my favorites, personally.

[01:06:25] Then we have the Korean one.

[01:06:28] Trypophobia alert, by the way.

[01:06:31] Ooh.

[01:06:31] Huh.

[01:06:33] Wow.

[01:06:34] That is actually terrifying.

[01:06:36] Yeah.

[01:06:37] The teeth in the eyes and...

[01:06:38] Especially the one on the left with all of them there.

[01:06:42] That is, uh...

[01:06:43] Wow.

[01:06:44] Yeah.

[01:06:46] I dig that.

[01:06:47] They're terrifying.

[01:06:49] I actually really like that.

[01:06:50] Then we have the merch version.

[01:06:53] The 90s merch.

[01:06:56] And then we have the TV show.

[01:06:59] Which I really like.

[01:07:00] It's like the Mud Monster.

[01:07:01] Yeah.

[01:07:02] Yeah, I love the TV show.

[01:07:03] Yep.

[01:07:04] As we found out, drenched in McDonald's milkshakes, apparently.

[01:07:10] Yeah.

[01:07:11] And then, we have another Topps card.

[01:07:15] This is the Mud Monster.

[01:07:17] Looks almost like a poopy monster.

[01:07:21] The bottom part, it looks like a tinder.

[01:07:24] Just not this.

[01:07:26] Then we have the...

[01:07:27] Like, from the neck down, it just looks like a tinder.

[01:07:31] This isn't bad.

[01:07:32] Ooh.

[01:07:33] I forgot about that one.

[01:07:34] It's actually not too bad.

[01:07:37] I like it.

[01:07:38] I think it's pretty nice.

[01:07:39] And then we have Horror Town.

[01:07:41] Yeah.

[01:07:41] It's interesting.

[01:07:43] Which looks like Clayface from Batman.

[01:07:45] It does look like Clayface.

[01:07:47] They ripped Batman off.

[01:07:50] They really did.

[01:07:53] That was the first thing I thought when I saw that.

[01:07:55] I was like, that's totally Clayface from Batman the Animated Series.

[01:07:58] I was like, come on now.

[01:08:00] He's going to probably change into something.

[01:08:03] Next up is the Pumpkinheads from Attack of the Jack-o'-lanterns.

[01:08:07] Starting off, of course, with the Tim Jacobus artwork.

[01:08:11] Are you guys ready for the French one?

[01:08:14] We've never done.

[01:08:15] Oh, here it is.

[01:08:17] Ooh!

[01:08:19] Wait!

[01:08:20] Well, it looks like a tomato.

[01:08:21] Wait or not.

[01:08:23] I was going to say, it looks like a tomato.

[01:08:25] You know what?

[01:08:26] If I was laying in bed, though, and I looked up and saw that, I'd be kind of creeped out.

[01:08:32] Well, you want to know what?

[01:08:33] Like, in the dark.

[01:08:34] I'd be very creeped out.

[01:08:37] Now that Aaron has said straight up, like, a tomato, like, all I think is, like, this

[01:08:42] is not even a pumpkin.

[01:08:43] This is a straight up tomato.

[01:08:45] Attack of the killer.

[01:08:45] Attack of the killer tomatoes.

[01:08:47] Tomatoes.

[01:08:48] That's not one of the bad French ones, though.

[01:08:51] It's, like, okay.

[01:08:52] It's okay.

[01:08:53] It's in the middle range.

[01:08:53] But it looks...

[01:08:54] I wouldn't want to meet it at night in bed.

[01:08:57] What's funny, because it looks a lot like...

[01:08:59] I mean, it's...

[01:09:01] Well, it looks a lot like the faces that are, like, somewhat similar faces you would see

[01:09:06] on classic vintage Halloween artwork of jack-o'-lanterns and pumpkins.

[01:09:14] Like, when they did, like, human faces on them and things like that.

[01:09:17] I think that's what they were trying to go for.

[01:09:20] They even did the spaceship in the background.

[01:09:22] I'll get a tomato.

[01:09:22] You noticed they even did the spaceship in the background.

[01:09:25] Yeah.

[01:09:27] Spoiled the ending.

[01:09:28] So that's it.

[01:09:29] Nice to look.

[01:09:31] That's not the worst one, surely.

[01:09:33] Like, there's no way worse than...

[01:09:34] The Korean art.

[01:09:36] This one looks cool.

[01:09:38] That's cool.

[01:09:39] I would like to get that book.

[01:09:41] I like that.

[01:09:43] This one, yeah, I need to write these down.

[01:09:45] I need to write these down.

[01:09:46] Like, there's some that I'm like, holy shit, I want them.

[01:09:48] Then we have the Italian green.

[01:09:53] Ooh.

[01:09:54] Interesting.

[01:09:54] That's kind of cool.

[01:09:55] Mm-hmm.

[01:09:57] And then, of course...

[01:09:57] I mean, it's a very cool Halloween art, but I don't get Attack of the Jack-o'-lanterns

[01:10:01] off that.

[01:10:02] Nah, not really.

[01:10:02] What's this one in the middle?

[01:10:03] It's all in the middle.

[01:10:04] Yeah.

[01:10:05] Yeah.

[01:10:06] Those guys are scarier.

[01:10:08] Yeah.

[01:10:08] I still think the French one's even better than mine.

[01:10:11] And we have, of course, the TV show version.

[01:10:14] These are iconic.

[01:10:15] Yeah.

[01:10:16] I would argue to say even more so than the actual book cover of the Tim Jacobus.

[01:10:21] I would say these are probably the most well-known pumpkin heads in the Goosebumps universe.

[01:10:26] Mm-hmm.

[01:10:27] Yeah.

[01:10:27] I have to agree with you on that one.

[01:10:29] I love the Tim art, but I think it's just because he went with, like, really cutesy faces.

[01:10:35] Maybe he was directed to do so, not to make them too scary.

[01:10:39] I'm not really sure why he chose the faces he chose.

[01:10:43] But these ones are creepy.

[01:10:44] You know?

[01:10:46] But those are awesome.

[01:10:47] And I love that we even got those masks from Trick or Treat Studios.

[01:10:51] Mm-hmm.

[01:10:52] So...

[01:10:52] I can't say the same, unfortunately, from the movie version.

[01:10:58] Yeah.

[01:10:59] Yeah.

[01:10:59] They try to go Halloween, too, almost, with the skull pumpkin design.

[01:11:02] And I don't know.

[01:11:05] It's okay.

[01:11:07] Yeah.

[01:11:08] It's pretty mad.

[01:11:09] You know, I guess at least it's a pumpkin.

[01:11:11] At least it's a jack-o'-lantern.

[01:11:13] Unlike the tomato we had earlier.

[01:11:16] Then we have the Brandon Dorman classic Goosebumps.

[01:11:21] That's pretty good.

[01:11:22] I like it.

[01:11:23] I think you did a great job on that one.

[01:11:25] Yeah.

[01:11:27] And this one is not a direct reference, but I counted it anyway.

[01:11:31] From Goosebumps 2, we have this pumpkin head.

[01:11:34] Oh.

[01:11:36] I like it.

[01:11:37] I think it's...

[01:11:38] I like that it's, like, ranchy.

[01:11:39] Yeah, I like the pumpkin monster.

[01:11:42] Yeah.

[01:11:43] Yeah.

[01:11:44] Although, I will say, I like the design on the right more than the left.

[01:11:48] So, that concept art, I'm pretty sure that's what it is on the right.

[01:11:52] Yeah.

[01:11:53] The one in the actual movie didn't look like that, right?

[01:11:56] Because I'm thinking the one on the left is clearly in the movie.

[01:12:00] Yeah.

[01:12:00] It's okay.

[01:12:02] I like it.

[01:12:03] But they really dialed it back compared to that artwork.

[01:12:05] I like it better than this one, to be honest.

[01:12:09] I think this one looks a lot better than that one.

[01:12:13] Oh, yeah.

[01:12:14] Way better.

[01:12:14] I mean, it's a neat design what they try to go for with that first version.

[01:12:24] But, you know, I don't know.

[01:12:25] I don't like it.

[01:12:26] And then we have...

[01:12:28] You know, the tree was the same way.

[01:12:31] You know, they took a baby skull and then made it, like, into a pumpkin.

[01:12:34] But the difference was the design looked a lot better than what that Bruce Bumpers movie turned out.

[01:12:40] Here we have More Town.

[01:12:42] And here it looks like we have a double dip of the Tim Jacobus one and the movie Skull one.

[01:12:50] Yeah.

[01:12:51] Not impressed.

[01:12:53] Yeah.

[01:12:54] Not good.

[01:12:55] Not impressed.

[01:12:56] Not my least favorite, but not my favorite.

[01:12:59] I'll tell you that.

[01:13:00] Alrighty.

[01:13:00] We're about a little over halfway through, so we're going to start doing some lightning rounds,

[01:13:05] starting with the shrunken head from How I Got My Shrunken Head.

[01:13:09] Starting off, we have concept art for the Tim Jacobus art.

[01:13:14] And then the final version.

[01:13:17] It's iconic.

[01:13:18] That's the best move.

[01:13:19] Now we have two, two French covers.

[01:13:23] First one.

[01:13:25] Oh, Jesus.

[01:13:26] Is that.

[01:13:28] Oh.

[01:13:29] Second one.

[01:13:31] Is that.

[01:13:33] Oh, that's scary.

[01:13:36] I tried to copy Tim a little bit, but went more realistic.

[01:13:41] It looks like a witchy, creepy.

[01:13:44] Oh, my God.

[01:13:45] Now this next one, this next one is probably going to be the most surprising design out of

[01:13:53] all of these Goosebumps monsters.

[01:13:55] Here's the Korean art.

[01:14:03] What?

[01:14:04] What is happening?

[01:14:05] The shrunken head is eating souls.

[01:14:08] It looks like something a five, six-year-old decided to draw.

[01:14:12] Oh, wait.

[01:14:13] Wait.

[01:14:14] I see what they're trying to do from the book.

[01:14:17] It just looks like a giant head is eating goats.

[01:14:21] That is exactly what it is.

[01:14:22] It's little kids that have drawn on me.

[01:14:25] It looks like something out of the Mighty Boosh.

[01:14:27] I don't know if you guys ever watched the Mighty Boosh, but that looks like a drawing here.

[01:14:31] From the Mighty Boosh.

[01:14:32] So, like, if it was in, if this was in the vein of that world, I would say great.

[01:14:36] But in this world, I don't know.

[01:14:39] Oh, that's just as iconic, man.

[01:14:41] That's like.

[01:14:42] Yeah.

[01:14:43] Yeah, I love the, the merch mascot.

[01:14:47] Let's call it the merch mascots.

[01:14:50] And then we have the TV show version.

[01:14:54] This one is great.

[01:14:56] I really like the look of this one.

[01:14:58] Then we have Brandon Dorman's classic Goosebumps version.

[01:15:03] Not a fan of the big bulbous eyes and the smile mouth.

[01:15:07] Doesn't look as creepy.

[01:15:08] It looks like Ripley's Believe It or Not.

[01:15:10] Like those people that do the eye.

[01:15:13] Definitely.

[01:15:14] Then we have the 2008 merch.

[01:15:16] Right there in the middle is the shrunken head.

[01:15:20] I'm not a fan of that.

[01:15:21] The 2015 video game has the shrunken head as an item.

[01:15:26] Oh.

[01:15:27] That's.

[01:15:29] And finally.

[01:15:30] That's the worst one.

[01:15:31] That's horrendous.

[01:15:32] Horror Towns version.

[01:15:34] Went for more of a skull look.

[01:15:38] Yeah.

[01:15:39] But it looks pretty decent.

[01:15:42] Alright.

[01:15:43] Next up is the blob.

[01:15:46] The blob.

[01:15:47] From the blob.

[01:15:48] That ate everyone.

[01:15:50] We have the original Tim Jacobus art.

[01:15:52] Another one of my personal favorites.

[01:15:56] This one is great.

[01:15:58] Then we have the French one.

[01:16:02] Yeah.

[01:16:03] Yeah.

[01:16:06] I would love to know like.

[01:16:09] Like.

[01:16:10] Who.

[01:16:10] Who tells the French artists.

[01:16:12] Like.

[01:16:13] Um.

[01:16:14] We need a cover for this.

[01:16:17] Just go nuts.

[01:16:19] Don't even.

[01:16:19] Don't even read the book.

[01:16:21] Just go by the title.

[01:16:22] Yeah.

[01:16:23] What you feel.

[01:16:24] And I feel like.

[01:16:25] Yeah.

[01:16:26] This is wrong.

[01:16:27] It was probably the same for the Korean art.

[01:16:30] Right.

[01:16:31] Oh Jesus.

[01:16:33] What the hell is that?

[01:16:35] That is the Korean version of the blob.

[01:16:38] Couldn't you tell?

[01:16:39] It was like an alien.

[01:16:41] That was like an alien.

[01:16:43] Oh no.

[01:16:44] Actually no.

[01:16:45] I tell a lie.

[01:16:46] It's not the Korean one.

[01:16:47] This is the Italian one.

[01:16:49] Oh.

[01:16:50] I gotta make sense.

[01:16:53] Honestly.

[01:16:55] This is the Korean one.

[01:16:59] That looks like.

[01:17:01] That looks like.

[01:17:02] It's literally crank.

[01:17:04] Yeah.

[01:17:05] It does.

[01:17:06] It's crank.

[01:17:07] Turtles.

[01:17:08] That's great.

[01:17:09] Then we have.

[01:17:10] The TV show version.

[01:17:13] That's one of the worst.

[01:17:15] Things in the show.

[01:17:16] That's pretty rough.

[01:17:18] It looks more like.

[01:17:18] An adaptation of Keith.

[01:17:20] From I live in your basement.

[01:17:23] If it was that.

[01:17:24] It would make more sense.

[01:17:26] Yeah.

[01:17:26] That makes a lot more sense.

[01:17:28] Then we have.

[01:17:29] Brandon Dorman's version.

[01:17:31] That's pretty good.

[01:17:33] Which is also not too bad.

[01:17:34] I like it.

[01:17:35] Yeah.

[01:17:36] I really like this one.

[01:17:37] Then we have.

[01:17:38] Concept art.

[01:17:39] For the movie version.

[01:17:42] The one on the right.

[01:17:43] Looks a lot like.

[01:17:46] The 88 blob.

[01:17:48] Don't you guys think?

[01:17:49] Yeah.

[01:17:50] Yeah.

[01:17:52] And that's sort of that.

[01:17:53] The one with.

[01:17:54] Young.

[01:17:55] Shawnee.

[01:17:55] Shawnee Smith.

[01:17:56] Or whatever her name.

[01:17:57] Yeah.

[01:17:58] From Saw.

[01:17:59] Yeah.

[01:18:00] The classic.

[01:18:00] That's it.

[01:18:00] Right.

[01:18:02] And then we have.

[01:18:03] The final version.

[01:18:04] That appeared in the movie.

[01:18:05] Which is.

[01:18:06] It's a blob.

[01:18:07] No.

[01:18:08] It just looks like.

[01:18:11] It just looks like.

[01:18:13] Jelly.

[01:18:14] Jelly.

[01:18:16] And finally.

[01:18:18] Literally.

[01:18:18] It's just.

[01:18:19] Horror town.

[01:18:24] That's the worst.

[01:18:25] So.

[01:18:25] Chewing gum.

[01:18:26] It's on the ground.

[01:18:27] I already find underneath.

[01:18:29] That's the worst one.

[01:18:31] Because it's literally nothing to it at all.

[01:18:33] Yeah.

[01:18:33] It's nothing to it.

[01:18:34] At least the French one.

[01:18:35] A creature.

[01:18:36] That's not even like a.

[01:18:39] That's just.

[01:18:39] Yeah.

[01:18:40] Blob of gum.

[01:18:41] There's the face.

[01:18:42] There's anything.

[01:18:43] Oh.

[01:18:43] That gum that cheat everybody.

[01:18:46] I thought the French one was going to be the worst one here.

[01:18:48] Like what the hell?

[01:18:49] The gum that got stuck under the table.

[01:18:54] The gum under the school desk.

[01:18:56] Next up.

[01:18:57] We have a series 2000 rep in the mix.

[01:19:01] The body squeezers.

[01:19:04] Let's take a look at the Tim Jacobus art.

[01:19:06] This is just beautiful.

[01:19:08] I would have this hang.

[01:19:09] Hung on my wall.

[01:19:11] If I could.

[01:19:13] That's it.

[01:19:13] So 1950s, 60s style.

[01:19:16] Mm-hmm.

[01:19:17] It looks almost like a war of the worlds.

[01:19:19] Sort of thing.

[01:19:21] It looks really nice.

[01:19:23] Then we have.

[01:19:24] The dreaded.

[01:19:25] French covers.

[01:19:29] Okay.

[01:19:30] If this wasn't a reference to the body squeezes.

[01:19:32] The one on the right.

[01:19:33] Pretty creepy.

[01:19:35] Mm-hmm.

[01:19:36] Yeah.

[01:19:38] It's.

[01:19:38] That's like.

[01:19:39] What's with them giving them all like.

[01:19:40] I noticed the French covers too.

[01:19:42] They all give them this like.

[01:19:44] Poisonous snake reptilian eye look.

[01:19:47] Like.

[01:19:47] Or cat eye.

[01:19:48] Or whatever you want to call it.

[01:19:50] You know.

[01:19:50] Yeah.

[01:19:51] Always the slit.

[01:19:51] Over there.

[01:19:52] I guess they think that's creepy.

[01:19:53] Multiple.

[01:19:55] Multiple books have had this now.

[01:19:57] And five heads too.

[01:19:59] Nice.

[01:19:59] If this was its own thing.

[01:20:01] It could be good.

[01:20:02] Like.

[01:20:03] For a cover up.

[01:20:04] But because it's.

[01:20:05] Body squeezes.

[01:20:06] It's on.

[01:20:06] Yeah.

[01:20:07] But if it was its own thing.

[01:20:08] Standalone story.

[01:20:10] Completely different.

[01:20:11] And I'd be like.

[01:20:12] Oh yeah.

[01:20:12] We'd be looking.

[01:20:13] Well here's the.

[01:20:15] Here's the Spanish cover.

[01:20:20] That actually looks worse to be honest.

[01:20:21] Wow.

[01:20:23] That's actually worse.

[01:20:24] The other thing.

[01:20:25] The other one was at least creepy looking.

[01:20:26] I don't even know what this is.

[01:20:28] Looks like something from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

[01:20:32] Yeah.

[01:20:32] It's got the same teeth as the Horned Mask though.

[01:20:35] It's like faces.

[01:20:35] The long teeth.

[01:20:37] And the slightly shorter ones in the middle.

[01:20:40] Yeah.

[01:20:40] It almost looks like it's.

[01:20:41] Yeah.

[01:20:41] It's faces on like its torso.

[01:20:44] Almost.

[01:20:45] A little bit.

[01:20:47] Oh gosh.

[01:20:48] It's weird.

[01:20:48] It's derpy.

[01:20:49] In every way.

[01:20:50] Here's the Italian version.

[01:20:52] This is more typical alien sort of look.

[01:20:56] Yeah.

[01:20:56] I was not saying.

[01:20:57] That's a straight up alien.

[01:20:59] For sure.

[01:21:01] But then we go back to.

[01:21:03] The good zone.

[01:21:04] With Craig White.

[01:21:06] Forgive yourself goosebumps.

[01:21:08] Shout out to Craig.

[01:21:10] Shout out to Craig.

[01:21:11] I mean it looks exactly.

[01:21:12] Almost like the Tim Jacobus art.

[01:21:14] They're just blue.

[01:21:15] Because that's.

[01:21:16] What happened at the end of the book.

[01:21:18] And he's like.

[01:21:18] Look.

[01:21:18] I found a blue one.

[01:21:21] Yeah.

[01:21:22] Yeah.

[01:21:23] Then we have the movie concept.

[01:21:27] Wow.

[01:21:29] Yeah.

[01:21:30] It's like Mars Attacks.

[01:21:32] But more terrifying vibe.

[01:21:34] Yeah.

[01:21:36] And then the final movie.

[01:21:39] Which almost looks like.

[01:21:40] You know what the body squeezers remind me of in the movie.

[01:21:43] It's almost like intergalactic Mr. Freeze.

[01:21:46] Yeah.

[01:21:48] Does it go around human like.

[01:21:54] Then.

[01:21:54] I don't know.

[01:21:56] We have the Horror Town versions.

[01:21:59] How drastic.

[01:22:01] Are these.

[01:22:04] You okay Mr. Krabs.

[01:22:06] Are you feeling it Mr. Krabs.

[01:22:09] Are you feeling it Mr. Krabs.

[01:22:10] Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs.

[01:22:13] Are you SpongeBob me boy.

[01:22:16] You got the.

[01:22:17] There's always a SpongeBob on the left.

[01:22:21] Oh jeez.

[01:22:22] Oh.

[01:22:23] With Plankton on the left.

[01:22:24] And Mr. Krabs on the.

[01:22:26] Buffed Mr. Krabs on the right.

[01:22:29] All you need to do is make the one on the left green.

[01:22:31] And then there you go.

[01:22:32] You have.

[01:22:33] The Goosebumps SpongeBob crossover.

[01:22:37] It's rough.

[01:22:39] Poor body squeezers.

[01:22:41] Now it's time.

[01:22:42] For the Lord High Executioner.

[01:22:45] From a knight in terror.

[01:22:48] So next up.

[01:22:50] We have the classic.

[01:22:51] This art.

[01:22:52] This one is great.

[01:22:55] Then we have.

[01:22:56] The French cover.

[01:23:00] I mean.

[01:23:01] That at least.

[01:23:02] Has.

[01:23:03] The similarities I guess.

[01:23:04] Yeah.

[01:23:05] That's not the worst one.

[01:23:06] Too close together.

[01:23:07] Yeah.

[01:23:08] He's scrawny too.

[01:23:09] This dude looks like.

[01:23:10] Oh no.

[01:23:11] They gave him Christmas colors.

[01:23:14] And Santa Claus again.

[01:23:15] He's Santa.

[01:23:16] He's Santa Cushion.

[01:23:19] Then we have.

[01:23:20] The Korean version.

[01:23:22] Naughty.

[01:23:23] What?

[01:23:24] Why is he wearing that?

[01:23:25] Uh.

[01:23:25] Wow.

[01:23:26] Okay.

[01:23:27] Looks like a pimp.

[01:23:29] I mean.

[01:23:30] He's got a salad fingers look in the face.

[01:23:32] Yeah.

[01:23:33] Salad fingers.

[01:23:35] Which is kind of creepy.

[01:23:36] Because style fingers was downright creepy.

[01:23:38] Mm-hmm.

[01:23:39] Then we have.

[01:23:40] Yeah.

[01:23:41] It looks more like.

[01:23:42] If that was the scarecrow looks at midnight.

[01:23:44] It would make more sense somehow.

[01:23:46] I don't know why.

[01:23:47] I mean.

[01:23:47] It's the fit of like.

[01:23:48] The scarecrow from the new Batman adventures.

[01:23:51] A little bit.

[01:23:52] I was going to say.

[01:23:52] Like my first thought.

[01:23:53] Because of the hat and the kind of coat.

[01:23:56] Until you said pimp.

[01:23:57] And then I was like.

[01:23:58] Okay.

[01:23:58] Yeah.

[01:23:58] It's more pimp coat.

[01:23:59] It's just kind of that pimp coat.

[01:24:00] You know.

[01:24:01] Yeah.

[01:24:02] It's got the pimp coat.

[01:24:03] But.

[01:24:03] It did make me think of the.

[01:24:05] New adventures of Batman.

[01:24:06] Scarecrow.

[01:24:07] When they did the redesign.

[01:24:08] Then we have the TV show version.

[01:24:10] Which I'm not too crazy about.

[01:24:12] But I know you guys like it.

[01:24:15] Love the shit.

[01:24:15] I like it.

[01:24:17] I like it when he's hooded.

[01:24:18] When he has the hood on.

[01:24:20] I think that looks good.

[01:24:22] It's just.

[01:24:22] That's the thing.

[01:24:23] Like.

[01:24:23] I know we talked about it.

[01:24:25] But I don't know why.

[01:24:26] Like.

[01:24:26] You know in that scene where.

[01:24:30] Sue is.

[01:24:31] She's in the dungeon obviously.

[01:24:33] And.

[01:24:33] The executioner comes alive.

[01:24:35] In that moment.

[01:24:36] Kind of like.

[01:24:36] She's getting crossed over.

[01:24:38] Through present time.

[01:24:39] In the past.

[01:24:40] And it tries to axe her.

[01:24:41] Like.

[01:24:41] It looked like the Tim Jacobus.

[01:24:44] Executioner in that moment.

[01:24:45] I was like.

[01:24:45] Why didn't they just do that.

[01:24:46] The whole episode.

[01:24:47] I don't know.

[01:24:48] Don't get me wrong.

[01:24:48] I like the guy who played the executioner.

[01:24:50] But like.

[01:24:50] I much would have rather had.

[01:24:52] Yeah.

[01:24:52] Like a hooded.

[01:24:54] Executioner.

[01:24:55] Just coming at them the whole time.

[01:24:56] Yeah.

[01:24:57] With an axe.

[01:24:57] Like just chase them with an axe.

[01:24:59] That'd be much scarier.

[01:25:01] Yeah.

[01:25:02] Then we have.

[01:25:03] The Disney stage show version.

[01:25:06] This is what I think it should have looked like.

[01:25:07] In the TV show.

[01:25:09] Yeah.

[01:25:11] I think that looks.

[01:25:12] He's got the very.

[01:25:13] That looks good.

[01:25:14] Yeah.

[01:25:15] Then we have the Craig White version.

[01:25:17] Very similar to the Tim Jacobus one.

[01:25:19] But I really like this one.

[01:25:21] Dude's hunchback.

[01:25:22] But he's still got them.

[01:25:23] Yeah.

[01:25:24] Some swole arms.

[01:25:26] He is so ripped.

[01:25:27] Chopping off heads man.

[01:25:29] You know you could get so jacked.

[01:25:31] Chopping off heads.

[01:25:32] Then we have.

[01:25:33] This is actually from a board game.

[01:25:35] A Knight and Terror Tower board game.

[01:25:37] Sue and Eddie are based off of their TV show actors.

[01:25:41] Yeah.

[01:25:42] They are.

[01:25:43] I love it.

[01:25:44] Yeah.

[01:25:45] Then we have.

[01:25:45] It's crazy how just like.

[01:25:47] The board game covers.

[01:25:49] Iconic.

[01:25:50] You know what I mean?

[01:25:51] Just as iconic as like.

[01:25:52] The book.

[01:25:54] It's crazy.

[01:25:55] I love it.

[01:25:55] Then we have the Brandon Dorman version.

[01:25:57] For classic goosebumps.

[01:25:59] This dude is round.

[01:26:01] Man.

[01:26:02] It's the same.

[01:26:03] He's just like round.

[01:26:04] Look at his short stubby arms though.

[01:26:07] He's got T-Rex arms going on here.

[01:26:09] They got Danny DeVito to play the executioner.

[01:26:12] Can't even like hardly reach to.

[01:26:14] Hold the axe bro.

[01:26:16] Yeah.

[01:26:17] For this role.

[01:26:17] They got Danny DeVito's penguin.

[01:26:19] To play this part.

[01:26:22] Oh my God.

[01:26:22] Could you imagine.

[01:26:24] Danny DeVito's character from like say.

[01:26:26] It's always sunny in Philadelphia.

[01:26:27] But as the executioner.

[01:26:29] Oh man.

[01:26:30] Oh yeah.

[01:26:31] I dropped my magnum axe.

[01:26:35] Monster arms.

[01:26:36] Monster arms.

[01:26:38] That would be amazing.

[01:26:40] Oh that's great.

[01:26:42] Now we have the movie version.

[01:26:45] Oh no.

[01:26:46] Which is okay.

[01:26:47] I don't know.

[01:26:48] I mean I don't know why he didn't have a shirt.

[01:26:49] But.

[01:26:50] They shouldn't.

[01:26:50] He shouldn't have a mouth showing at all.

[01:26:53] Yeah.

[01:26:53] It just should be eyes.

[01:26:54] Just cover up the mouth.

[01:26:55] And just have it be the eyes.

[01:26:57] And yeah.

[01:26:57] Why does he have his big fucking man tits hanging out?

[01:27:00] Just looks like that.

[01:27:02] I don't even know how to wear his shirt.

[01:27:03] I will say at least in medieval times.

[01:27:05] Sometimes.

[01:27:06] Some executioners actually did not have.

[01:27:08] You know.

[01:27:09] The mouth cover that was visible.

[01:27:12] Yeah.

[01:27:13] Just.

[01:27:13] I don't know.

[01:27:14] I think that's kind of accurate.

[01:27:15] It's like rule 49.

[01:27:16] Just saying.

[01:27:17] But see here we go.

[01:27:18] That's what I'm talking about.

[01:27:19] Where is his shirt?

[01:27:21] That's the movie version.

[01:27:22] Literally.

[01:27:23] Why does he have a cape?

[01:27:25] Oh yeah.

[01:27:26] Because he's Batman.

[01:27:27] Batman.

[01:27:28] It's like a super.

[01:27:30] Super.

[01:27:31] Super.

[01:27:31] Like.

[01:27:31] Super villain.

[01:27:32] Executioner.

[01:27:34] Well.

[01:27:35] That would be kind of cool.

[01:27:36] Like.

[01:27:36] The executioner.

[01:27:38] Like.

[01:27:38] As a super villain.

[01:27:40] That would be pretty neat.

[01:27:41] All right.

[01:27:42] We are coming down to the final five monsters.

[01:27:45] But these are the biggest ones.

[01:27:47] So we're going to have a lightning round.

[01:27:49] Starting with.

[01:27:50] The haunted mask.

[01:27:52] All right.

[01:27:52] Specifically.

[01:27:53] The original.

[01:27:54] Not the old man mask.

[01:27:56] We're just sticking to the original.

[01:27:57] But there's plenty of versions.

[01:27:59] Starting with the concept art.

[01:28:01] For Tim Jacobus.

[01:28:03] Some of them are kind of changed by.

[01:28:05] How the mask is.

[01:28:06] Fung.

[01:28:07] On different things.

[01:28:08] But you can see the different versions.

[01:28:10] Of how it would have turned out.

[01:28:11] I couldn't imagine anything other.

[01:28:13] Than like the girl holding up the mask.

[01:28:16] I couldn't imagine like.

[01:28:17] The one on the bottom left.

[01:28:19] Where it's just hanging out of a closet.

[01:28:21] Not really.

[01:28:23] Then we have the classic.

[01:28:25] Yeah.

[01:28:26] Everybody knows.

[01:28:28] The good stuff.

[01:28:29] Yep.

[01:28:30] Perfect.

[01:28:32] Here we have the UK cover.

[01:28:35] Oh my god.

[01:28:36] No.

[01:28:37] What the hell?

[01:28:38] Oh yeah.

[01:28:38] That's the best one.

[01:28:40] Be great.

[01:28:43] Now we have two.

[01:28:45] Two.

[01:28:45] French covers.

[01:28:47] Here's the first.

[01:28:48] Nope.

[01:28:50] Looks like Megamind zombie.

[01:28:53] Or something like that.

[01:28:55] Right.

[01:28:56] What the hell is happening there?

[01:28:58] Again though.

[01:28:59] Like.

[01:28:59] If this wasn't the haunted mask.

[01:29:01] And it was a completely different story.

[01:29:04] I don't know.

[01:29:05] The.

[01:29:06] The booger.

[01:29:07] I don't know.

[01:29:09] Just some random fucking thing.

[01:29:10] That could be a creepy cover.

[01:29:12] If it was its own thing.

[01:29:13] Is this one an improvement?

[01:29:16] No.

[01:29:18] No.

[01:29:19] I don't know why.

[01:29:21] I have like.

[01:29:21] A rep.

[01:29:22] Bleeding.

[01:29:23] But then you got.

[01:29:23] Stitches.

[01:29:24] And.

[01:29:25] Like scraggly hair.

[01:29:26] Witch scraggly hair.

[01:29:27] And again.

[01:29:28] With the slit in the eyes.

[01:29:29] It's like.

[01:29:30] Again.

[01:29:30] Like.

[01:29:31] God.

[01:29:32] Yeah.

[01:29:32] That's terrible.

[01:29:33] Here's the Korean version.

[01:29:37] Yeah.

[01:29:37] Why does it exist?

[01:29:38] That's.

[01:29:39] It's terrifying at the same time.

[01:29:41] Yeah.

[01:29:42] The Indonesian version.

[01:29:46] Like crap.

[01:29:48] Nothing's comparing.

[01:29:50] Nothing's comparing.

[01:29:52] No.

[01:29:53] The haunted mask changes a lot.

[01:29:56] I'm telling you guys.

[01:29:58] It does.

[01:29:59] Here's the Vietnamese version.

[01:30:02] Oh.

[01:30:03] More clowny.

[01:30:05] Yeah.

[01:30:06] It's more like a clown.

[01:30:07] Yeah.

[01:30:08] Uh-huh.

[01:30:09] Here's the Danish version.

[01:30:12] I mean.

[01:30:14] That one besides.

[01:30:15] Probably.

[01:30:17] That was not good.

[01:30:18] But it's kind of like.

[01:30:19] The original.

[01:30:21] Yeah.

[01:30:21] A little bit.

[01:30:22] That's not too bad.

[01:30:23] That's probably like my second favorite one so far.

[01:30:26] Then we have.

[01:30:27] The.

[01:30:28] So.

[01:30:29] I know I said I wasn't going to do the sequel.

[01:30:31] But I had to make one exception.

[01:30:32] For the French cover of haunted mask 2.

[01:30:36] Both versions.

[01:30:39] What?

[01:30:40] It's happened.

[01:30:41] Good God.

[01:30:41] I mean.

[01:30:41] It's better than.

[01:30:42] It's better than the haunted mask 1.

[01:30:44] What?

[01:30:45] What is it?

[01:30:48] It's.

[01:30:48] It's.

[01:30:49] It's still bad.

[01:30:50] But it's better.

[01:30:50] It's like.

[01:30:51] It's like saying.

[01:30:52] A turd is worse than a turd.

[01:30:55] With a little bit of ice cream sprinkles on top.

[01:30:57] It's the fact that there's actually a spider on its head.

[01:30:59] On the right one.

[01:31:00] And there's like cobwebs through the hair.

[01:31:02] They at least.

[01:31:03] Read.

[01:31:04] The synopsis of the character.

[01:31:05] Oh.

[01:31:06] Spiders in the head.

[01:31:07] Yeah.

[01:31:08] The first one kind of looks like.

[01:31:09] Freaky Friday situation.

[01:31:10] Yeah.

[01:31:11] This one's better.

[01:31:13] It's.

[01:31:13] It's only marginally better though.

[01:31:16] What?

[01:31:16] Let's wash our.

[01:31:17] Our subconscious out.

[01:31:19] With a classic.

[01:31:20] There we go.

[01:31:22] One.

[01:31:23] I want to know what Nick's favorite is.

[01:31:25] Is it the TV show?

[01:31:28] That's going to be a hard decision.

[01:31:30] That's going to be a hard decision.

[01:31:32] Now.

[01:31:32] Funny enough.

[01:31:33] But this version of the mask.

[01:31:35] I made that a long time ago.

[01:31:36] And there was a few different versions in the episode.

[01:31:40] But this version is slightly different from the sequel version.

[01:31:44] Number one.

[01:31:46] No eyes on this one.

[01:31:47] But it looks a little more like compact.

[01:31:50] You know what I mean?

[01:31:51] Compared to this one.

[01:31:54] I can't really put my.

[01:31:55] Yeah.

[01:31:56] My.

[01:31:56] It's a completely different sculpt.

[01:31:58] And.

[01:31:59] It had to be because they ended up using Scott Wickware.

[01:32:02] Who.

[01:32:02] Played the Maddest mutant.

[01:32:03] As the shopkeeper possessed by the mask.

[01:32:07] So.

[01:32:07] One thing.

[01:32:08] For.

[01:32:08] The first one.

[01:32:10] Was done for.

[01:32:11] Catherine Long specifically.

[01:32:12] So it.

[01:32:13] Was smaller.

[01:32:14] Next up.

[01:32:15] We have.

[01:32:16] The first.

[01:32:17] Topps card.

[01:32:18] This was part of that puzzle.

[01:32:21] Which is.

[01:32:22] I like it.

[01:32:23] These were.

[01:32:24] Part of the story cards.

[01:32:26] Story cards.

[01:32:28] Yeah.

[01:32:30] Yeah.

[01:32:31] Put a.

[01:32:31] Put a.

[01:32:32] Purple hat on it.

[01:32:34] And there you go.

[01:32:34] It's Green Goblin.

[01:32:38] And then we got the 90s merch version.

[01:32:42] Which always surprised me too.

[01:32:45] Yeah.

[01:32:46] It's the 90s merch version.

[01:32:48] You don't see a lot of it on.

[01:32:50] 90s stuff.

[01:32:51] Yeah.

[01:32:52] There is a watch though.

[01:32:53] They.

[01:32:53] They released one full watch.

[01:32:55] Which is just the Horted Mark.

[01:32:57] And has that.

[01:32:58] TV.

[01:32:58] Then the.

[01:32:59] I got it in the case behind me bro.

[01:33:02] And there's a pin.

[01:33:03] There's a little pin.

[01:33:05] Here is.

[01:33:06] At least only in Australia.

[01:33:07] Disney stage show version.

[01:33:09] I don't know if you guys can really see that.

[01:33:11] It's very pixelated.

[01:33:13] Yeah.

[01:33:14] It's pretty pixelated.

[01:33:15] But.

[01:33:15] They definitely tried to go for more of the TV show mask.

[01:33:18] In this one.

[01:33:19] But.

[01:33:19] I don't know if it's the pixelation.

[01:33:21] But it looks very grungy.

[01:33:24] In the facial area.

[01:33:26] But.

[01:33:27] They tried at least.

[01:33:29] Then we have.

[01:33:31] The Brandon Dorman version.

[01:33:32] That was present in.

[01:33:34] Horrorland.

[01:33:34] And.

[01:33:35] Most Wanted.

[01:33:36] I really like this one.

[01:33:38] Which.

[01:33:39] I'm fairly certain.

[01:33:40] What they based the Disney plus show.

[01:33:42] One on.

[01:33:43] For a final appearance.

[01:33:44] They tried to at least.

[01:33:46] Oh yeah.

[01:33:46] Yeah.

[01:33:47] Don't worry.

[01:33:47] We'll get to that one.

[01:33:48] In just a second.

[01:33:50] Oh.

[01:33:50] I'm sure.

[01:33:51] I'm sure.

[01:33:52] I'm sure you couldn't exclude that one for me.

[01:33:54] But it's okay.

[01:33:55] Here are some concept arts.

[01:33:56] For the movie version.

[01:33:57] On the left.

[01:33:59] I think that's concept art.

[01:34:01] I'm pretty sure.

[01:34:02] It may be fan.

[01:34:03] I've heard some things about how it was possibly fan art.

[01:34:07] But I'm willing to bet it was concept art.

[01:34:09] But on the right.

[01:34:10] we have what the original mask was going to look like in the movie i personally think it's kind of

[01:34:17] okay it's scary if it wasn't meant to be like again kind of like bjorn's been saying it wasn't

[01:34:24] meant to be the haunted mask and something else okay um the one on the left i actually really like

[01:34:31] the artwork that's actually really neat um but yeah the concept it's very creepy

[01:34:39] but i would have taken it over this i was gonna say i would have taken it over this one because i do

[01:34:46] not like this one at all i didn't care for this one at all yeah it looks like they kept the same

[01:34:53] like costume design from that artwork on the left but they just totally went away with

[01:35:01] yeah it's bad everything that should have been on a mask for some reason here's the

[01:35:07] version present in the 2015 point click game kind of looking like the tim jacobus one but it's got

[01:35:14] these really big ears what they're trying to go for then we have horror town both the mask and carly

[01:35:20] beth wearing the mask which is okay probably beth head looks pretty much like the same too eagrish

[01:35:28] yeah now we have another french cover but i think you guys might like this one this is actually a

[01:35:34] modern french cover that's all right i think well it's like stretching it out stretching it out

[01:35:43] like this so it's like i mean how else is it going to look if you're doing that i like it i think it's

[01:35:51] pretty good that's the better of the french ones yeah then we have the version that appeared in the

[01:35:56] scholastic home base game which brandon dormant art oh look at that it looks like it was made for

[01:36:08] the freaking ps1 okay here you go guys here's the 2023 series oh jeez i won't court you guys with

[01:36:22] it for long i think we know our thoughts on this version by this point it's a misfire i think the

[01:36:30] middle one was kind of on the right track to something but man oh man not no

[01:36:38] yeah and then finally oh what were you gonna say it would be if it was in the mask it like it's

[01:36:44] creepy looking for sure but i don't know but the haunted mask from goosebumps no that doesn't do it

[01:36:52] for me but this one does the most recent appearance of the mask in the 2020 uh 2024 graphic novel by

[01:37:01] maddie gonzalez uh this is just one picture but in the whole book i think the mask is very well drawn

[01:37:07] and represented uh it's a very good interpretation of that mask and she snuck the g in the ears

[01:37:15] yes clever girl

[01:37:21] next up is the mummy and uh this is from curse of the mummy's tomb but a few other books there's not

[01:37:27] really one mummy the most well known as prince coru but there's many mummies so let's go quickly

[01:37:34] through them we're gonna have a lightning round starting with the concept art for curse of the

[01:37:39] mummy's tomb not that different from the final just more humanistic eyes the final version has the red

[01:37:47] eyes instead then we have the uk covers for the curse of the mummy's tomb and return of the mummy

[01:38:07] the mummy's tomb and the mummy walks all three of those guys in the middle one even the series 2000 book was done

[01:38:22] jeez yeah

[01:38:24] yeah

[01:38:24] yeah

[01:38:24] yeah

[01:38:41] i like that one

[01:38:48] I like that.

[01:38:50] That's cool.

[01:38:52] Kind of digging that one.

[01:38:53] Then we have TV show number one

[01:38:55] in Return of the Mummy

[01:38:56] and TV show number two

[01:38:59] in Don't Wait.

[01:39:01] Yes, that was way better.

[01:39:03] They improved it.

[01:39:05] The Topps card.

[01:39:07] Pretty basic Mummy.

[01:39:09] Curse in the Mummy's Tomb sort of deal.

[01:39:11] We have Mummy Walks

[01:39:14] from Series 2000.

[01:39:16] Another Tim Jacobus artwork.

[01:39:19] We have Mark Nagata's

[01:39:21] Diary of a Mad Mummy.

[01:39:25] Sort of a

[01:39:26] mad scientist mummy

[01:39:29] in a sense.

[01:39:31] We have the 90s

[01:39:33] mascot merch mummy.

[01:39:35] Yep.

[01:39:37] I know that one.

[01:39:38] Stage show Prince Koru.

[01:39:42] It's not too bad.

[01:39:44] And then we get into the modern

[01:39:45] interpretations. First off

[01:39:47] with two Brandon Dorman artworks.

[01:39:49] This is the classic

[01:39:50] Goosebumps version.

[01:39:53] And this is the

[01:39:54] Horrorland version.

[01:39:57] I like them both.

[01:39:58] I think they're very

[01:39:59] I like how scrawny they are.

[01:40:01] Especially this one.

[01:40:03] I think they look really nice.

[01:40:06] Then we have the 2008

[01:40:07] merch mascot mummy.

[01:40:09] Another G at the bottom

[01:40:11] left there

[01:40:12] by its foot.

[01:40:13] Can you see it?

[01:40:15] Yes.

[01:40:15] Oh yeah.

[01:40:16] I like that.

[01:40:17] Hidden in there.

[01:40:18] Always hidden in there.

[01:40:20] DVD version.

[01:40:24] This is an RLN trailer.

[01:40:28] Goofy.

[01:40:31] All right.

[01:40:33] More modern French covers.

[01:40:34] You guys ready?

[01:40:35] Look at these.

[01:40:36] No.

[01:40:37] No.

[01:40:39] That's all right.

[01:40:41] The one on the right?

[01:40:42] Okay.

[01:40:44] That's not too bad.

[01:40:45] It's way better than the

[01:40:46] better than the other

[01:40:47] French ones.

[01:40:48] Jeez.

[01:40:50] That's a step up.

[01:40:51] That's a step up.

[01:40:52] And here's the Korean

[01:40:53] cover for Return of the Mummy.

[01:40:58] Oh my God.

[01:40:59] It's so like.

[01:41:01] I don't know what to say.

[01:41:03] It's kind of creepy

[01:41:04] but he looks sad.

[01:41:06] He looks sad.

[01:41:07] Hmm.

[01:41:08] Yeah.

[01:41:09] He looks sad.

[01:41:10] Movie concept.

[01:41:12] Pretty nice.

[01:41:14] And final movie.

[01:41:16] No.

[01:41:17] Yeah.

[01:41:17] The movie one was all right.

[01:41:19] Looks like.

[01:41:20] Not a big fan.

[01:41:21] I like the chin thing.

[01:41:23] It's kind of weird.

[01:41:24] I like that too.

[01:41:25] Gives it a little more

[01:41:26] personality.

[01:41:29] Then we have Horror Town's

[01:41:30] version.

[01:41:31] Very much.

[01:41:31] You know.

[01:41:32] Copping the movie version.

[01:41:34] Yes.

[01:41:35] Then we have another

[01:41:37] Brandon Dorman art

[01:41:38] for Slappy World.

[01:41:40] And.

[01:41:41] No.

[01:41:42] I don't like this one.

[01:41:43] I don't like the

[01:41:43] Muppet mouth.

[01:41:45] It's got going on there.

[01:41:48] And then.

[01:41:50] Robert Ball's version

[01:41:51] for Night of the Living Mummy.

[01:41:54] The most recent one.

[01:41:57] One of my least favorite

[01:41:58] book covers.

[01:42:01] So.

[01:42:01] I mean.

[01:42:02] The Mummy has been

[01:42:02] pretty consistent.

[01:42:03] It's hard to mess up

[01:42:04] a mummy unless you know

[01:42:05] you're the original

[01:42:06] French artist.

[01:42:08] There was some pretty

[01:42:09] interesting artworks

[01:42:12] in there for the

[01:42:13] mummy books.

[01:42:14] I would certainly say.

[01:42:16] Yeah.

[01:42:17] Next up.

[01:42:18] Is the Scarecrow.

[01:42:19] Not.

[01:42:20] The Scarecrow

[01:42:21] from Batman.

[01:42:22] Making a lot of

[01:42:23] Batman references.

[01:42:24] But it's not that

[01:42:25] Scarecrow.

[01:42:25] It's the Scarecrow

[01:42:27] from Scarecrow

[01:42:27] Walks at Midnight.

[01:42:29] Starting with the

[01:42:30] Tim Jacobus art.

[01:42:31] Classic.

[01:42:33] Yeah.

[01:42:33] Classic.

[01:42:36] Here's the UK version.

[01:42:38] Yeah.

[01:42:40] Okay.

[01:42:42] No.

[01:42:43] Yeah.

[01:42:44] Well.

[01:42:45] It looks zombie-esque.

[01:42:48] Immediate reaction

[01:42:49] is just like.

[01:42:50] It's just.

[01:42:52] It's not zombie-esque.

[01:42:53] It's just literally like.

[01:42:55] A kid's like.

[01:42:56] Hey I want to be a

[01:42:57] scarecrow for Halloween.

[01:42:58] Give me that pillowcase.

[01:42:59] I'm going to draw a face

[01:43:00] on it.

[01:43:01] Draw a face on it.

[01:43:02] Done.

[01:43:03] Have you got your

[01:43:03] lipstick mom?

[01:43:05] Sure.

[01:43:05] Sure.

[01:43:07] And we have.

[01:43:08] That's literally what it is.

[01:43:09] The French cover.

[01:43:12] He's got a laser eye.

[01:43:14] He's got a laser eye.

[01:43:15] He's got a laser eye.

[01:43:18] He's got a laser eye.

[01:43:22] He's got a laser eye.

[01:43:24] Why his hat's on fire.

[01:43:27] Korean art though.

[01:43:28] Oh.

[01:43:29] Yeah.

[01:43:29] That is.

[01:43:30] That's bad.

[01:43:30] Oh.

[01:43:31] I love this.

[01:43:32] I need this book.

[01:43:34] That's number one.

[01:43:35] I love you Tim but god damn.

[01:43:37] That is.

[01:43:38] Korean artwork is either

[01:43:40] completely childish or it's

[01:43:41] the most badass thing you

[01:43:43] ever saw in your life.

[01:43:45] Which is crazy.

[01:43:48] Because yeah.

[01:43:48] This looks.

[01:43:49] You wouldn't think that was

[01:43:50] even in the same line of

[01:43:51] books.

[01:43:52] Yeah.

[01:43:53] It's.

[01:43:55] That's awesome.

[01:43:57] Here's the Indonesian

[01:43:58] cover.

[01:44:01] Shadow.

[01:44:01] Yeah.

[01:44:02] This looks like.

[01:44:03] It looks like.

[01:44:05] It looks like.

[01:44:06] Scarecrow is like a

[01:44:06] superhero super villain.

[01:44:09] That's what I'm saying.

[01:44:10] It looks like a ninja from

[01:44:11] Naruto or something.

[01:44:12] I'm just don't.

[01:44:14] Yeah.

[01:44:16] So one thing for the

[01:44:19] mummy and one of our

[01:44:20] and our our next

[01:44:22] monster is that they're

[01:44:24] actually French covers

[01:44:25] made for some of the

[01:44:26] tails to give you

[01:44:27] goosebumps.

[01:44:28] Here's that one for the

[01:44:30] scarecrow.

[01:44:32] What?

[01:44:33] Oh jeez.

[01:44:34] The baseball walks at

[01:44:35] night.

[01:44:36] Yeah.

[01:44:37] See that's what I thought

[01:44:37] was a baseball first.

[01:44:39] Baseball person.

[01:44:40] Yeah.

[01:44:41] Here's the 90s merch

[01:44:43] mascot version.

[01:44:44] Yeah.

[01:44:45] I mean yeah.

[01:44:46] I know that.

[01:44:47] It's iconic for what it

[01:44:49] is.

[01:44:50] Got news everywhere.

[01:44:52] Badass TV show

[01:44:54] version.

[01:44:56] That was one.

[01:44:56] Yeah.

[01:44:57] That's like second

[01:44:57] favorite.

[01:44:58] I need Ron to tell me

[01:45:00] that scarecrow mask he's

[01:45:01] got.

[01:45:03] And the haunted mask

[01:45:04] for sure.

[01:45:06] Here's an action figure.

[01:45:08] I kind of changed the

[01:45:09] clothing a little bit but

[01:45:10] it's pretty similar to the

[01:45:11] 90s merch.

[01:45:13] Here is.

[01:45:15] Face.

[01:45:16] Goosebumps graphics by

[01:45:17] Greg Ruth.

[01:45:19] One of the creepier

[01:45:19] goosebumps graphics in my

[01:45:21] opinion.

[01:45:22] The brand.

[01:45:24] Brandon Dorman's

[01:45:25] artwork.

[01:45:26] They gave a very

[01:45:27] jack-o'-lantern

[01:45:28] scarecrow vibe and I

[01:45:30] you know me I'm I'm

[01:45:31] that's me bro.

[01:45:32] Like that's me all

[01:45:33] over.

[01:45:34] I love that.

[01:45:37] Then we have the DVD.

[01:45:38] Oh no this is the 2008

[01:45:40] merch version and then

[01:45:42] the G on his shirt.

[01:45:43] Yep.

[01:45:44] G on his shirt.

[01:45:46] Gotta find the G's.

[01:45:49] Then we have the movie

[01:45:50] version.

[01:45:52] Which I like.

[01:45:53] The movie version was

[01:45:53] good.

[01:45:54] I think the movie version

[01:45:55] was good.

[01:45:55] Not too bad.

[01:45:57] Then the movie credits

[01:45:59] just like Abominable

[01:46:00] Snowman had the scarecrow

[01:46:01] and it is a little bit

[01:46:03] different.

[01:46:04] Mostly in the face

[01:46:05] region.

[01:46:07] Just a skull ish kind

[01:46:09] of mask.

[01:46:11] The 2015.

[01:46:12] Looks too small.

[01:46:14] To be fair this one's

[01:46:15] more of an Easter egg

[01:46:16] but it's a pretty

[01:46:17] piss poor kind of

[01:46:19] scarecrow.

[01:46:21] Goosebumps 2 had

[01:46:22] this scarecrow.

[01:46:24] I like the first movie.

[01:46:26] It's kind of spooky.

[01:46:28] And then Horror Town

[01:46:29] scarecrow.

[01:46:32] Hmm.

[01:46:33] Hmm.

[01:46:33] Hmm.

[01:46:34] It's alright.

[01:46:35] Scarecrow from Batman.

[01:46:36] Hmm.

[01:46:37] Hmm.

[01:46:39] Now moving on.

[01:46:41] We have the mummy.

[01:46:42] Now we have the werewolf

[01:46:44] from Werewolf Fever Swamp

[01:46:46] Plus.

[01:46:47] Here's Tim Jacobus'

[01:46:48] basically a normal wolf.

[01:46:52] Here's the UK version.

[01:46:53] The color is beautiful art.

[01:46:56] That.

[01:46:56] No.

[01:46:57] It's a crazy German

[01:46:59] temper, bro.

[01:47:00] That's not even a wolf.

[01:47:01] See that green though?

[01:47:02] See the green?

[01:47:03] That's what the monster

[01:47:04] blood cover, like I said,

[01:47:05] should have been just

[01:47:05] green bubbles on the

[01:47:06] that's.

[01:47:08] Yeah.

[01:47:08] You wouldn't have needed

[01:47:09] anything else.

[01:47:10] Basic plain cover.

[01:47:13] The Dutch version.

[01:47:14] It's just green bubbles.

[01:47:17] Dutch version?

[01:47:18] Holy moly.

[01:47:20] But you know what?

[01:47:21] It's crazy.

[01:47:22] So the people that live there,

[01:47:24] that's like their cover art for it.

[01:47:25] It's probably nostalgic to them.

[01:47:27] Same with all the French covers.

[01:47:29] Like if you grew up in France,

[01:47:30] and those were the books

[01:47:31] in the UK.

[01:47:33] Oh, speaking of France.

[01:47:36] Oh my God.

[01:47:39] I don't understand.

[01:47:40] That is not a werewolf.

[01:47:44] It is a werewolf.

[01:47:45] See the full moon there.

[01:47:47] Here's the Korean art.

[01:47:50] Oh, that's cool.

[01:47:52] I like this one.

[01:47:53] The Korean art.

[01:47:54] At the moment.

[01:47:56] I don't know.

[01:47:57] They're really going hot.

[01:47:58] In the end of the Korean art.

[01:48:01] That is a rapid one.

[01:48:03] It's probably tribal.

[01:48:03] That's kind of cool.

[01:48:05] Yeah.

[01:48:06] And then we have werewolf skin

[01:48:08] by Tim DeKovas.

[01:48:11] I think that's got more character

[01:48:12] than the wealth fever swamp somehow.

[01:48:15] It looks more werewolf skin.

[01:48:17] Yeah.

[01:48:18] It does in terms of like

[01:48:19] the wolf part itself.

[01:48:21] I mean,

[01:48:21] don't get me wrong.

[01:48:22] Like the fever swamp cover

[01:48:24] is just beautiful.

[01:48:25] But in terms of a werewolf,

[01:48:27] this is werewolf.

[01:48:29] Yeah.

[01:48:30] Yeah.

[01:48:30] Then we have

[01:48:31] the French cover

[01:48:33] for werewolf skin.

[01:48:38] Not the worst,

[01:48:39] but it's

[01:48:40] it's better than the

[01:48:42] werewolf fever swamp one.

[01:48:43] And Mark Nagata

[01:48:45] took his shot

[01:48:46] for give yourself goosebumps.

[01:48:48] basically normal wolves.

[01:48:50] They look like

[01:48:51] they look like werebears.

[01:48:53] They have sort of a bear body.

[01:48:56] Werebears.

[01:48:57] Craig White

[01:48:59] for his first

[01:49:00] give yourself goosebumps

[01:49:01] with a werewolf.

[01:49:02] More of a wolf man

[01:49:04] than a werewolf.

[01:49:05] Compared to his second.

[01:49:07] Yeah.

[01:49:07] I love that.

[01:49:08] I love this.

[01:49:09] Love this one.

[01:49:11] That one.

[01:49:20] And one more

[01:49:22] Tim Jacobus art

[01:49:24] for series 2000.

[01:49:27] I mean,

[01:49:27] it's cool.

[01:49:29] It's kind of

[01:49:29] it's kind of

[01:49:31] you know,

[01:49:32] gory in a way

[01:49:33] on the face.

[01:49:34] A little gory.

[01:49:36] Yeah.

[01:49:37] I like it.

[01:49:37] Is that?

[01:49:39] It's like bloody

[01:49:41] brain.

[01:49:42] I don't know.

[01:49:42] It almost looks like

[01:49:43] he got burned.

[01:49:44] Like it goes

[01:49:45] almost like burns

[01:49:45] on his face

[01:49:46] a little bit.

[01:49:48] Just like he ripped

[01:49:49] the subversive man's part.

[01:49:51] They are beautiful.

[01:49:52] They are really,

[01:49:53] really stuff.

[01:49:54] Seriously.

[01:49:55] So extreme.

[01:49:56] Zombie werewolf.

[01:49:57] Oh,

[01:49:58] can't forget.

[01:49:58] We need a French version

[01:49:59] of this.

[01:50:04] He's a dignified sort.

[01:50:06] It looks like

[01:50:09] the Godfather werewolf

[01:50:10] or something.

[01:50:12] Oh,

[01:50:12] yeah.

[01:50:13] And

[01:50:14] as I said,

[01:50:15] there is a

[01:50:16] Tails,

[01:50:16] he goosebumps

[01:50:17] French cover.

[01:50:18] What does that

[01:50:18] look like?

[01:50:20] Oh,

[01:50:21] God.

[01:50:22] Yeah.

[01:50:23] That'll do.

[01:50:25] You know,

[01:50:26] if the guy

[01:50:26] that designed all these

[01:50:27] is watching our video,

[01:50:28] like,

[01:50:29] well,

[01:50:29] if he watches this video,

[01:50:30] he's going to be like,

[01:50:31] they're just ripping on me.

[01:50:32] They hate me.

[01:50:33] Look,

[01:50:34] man.

[01:50:34] Look,

[01:50:34] if you're listening to this,

[01:50:35] we don't mean you any harm.

[01:50:37] But dude,

[01:50:38] what were you thinking?

[01:50:40] Hey,

[01:50:40] all we can say is this.

[01:50:42] Your Monster Blood 2 cuddles

[01:50:43] was a bang.

[01:50:45] Yes.

[01:50:45] Yeah.

[01:50:46] You got one.

[01:50:48] You got one really great.

[01:50:50] To the point that I want

[01:50:51] to buy it now.

[01:50:52] So,

[01:50:53] yeah,

[01:50:53] just saying.

[01:50:54] Show version.

[01:50:55] Very dark.

[01:50:56] I'm sorry,

[01:50:57] but these are the only

[01:50:58] for the whole episode.

[01:51:01] Yeah.

[01:51:01] Good luck finding

[01:51:02] a high quality

[01:51:03] 90s rip of these

[01:51:05] because I'm telling you,

[01:51:06] I've looked.

[01:51:08] Impossible.

[01:51:08] But,

[01:51:09] oh,

[01:51:09] I love it.

[01:51:10] So good.

[01:51:11] And so,

[01:51:12] it's very much like a,

[01:51:14] like an animal,

[01:51:15] like not a wolf,

[01:51:16] not a man.

[01:51:17] It's a wolf man

[01:51:19] in every way.

[01:51:20] It's not a man.

[01:51:20] It's not a wolf.

[01:51:21] It's a wolf man.

[01:51:23] Here's the Topps card version.

[01:51:25] Pretty goofy.

[01:51:27] Very goofy.

[01:51:28] The Goosebumps graphics version

[01:51:31] by Gabriel Hernandez.

[01:51:32] That's pretty cool.

[01:51:34] Weird.

[01:51:35] Yeah.

[01:51:36] Oh,

[01:51:36] looks more cat-like almost.

[01:51:38] Kind of like the werewolves

[01:51:39] from Underworld in a way.

[01:51:41] A little more cat-like.

[01:51:42] Mm-hmm.

[01:51:43] Yeah.

[01:51:44] The lichens.

[01:51:46] Brandon Dorman's version.

[01:51:49] No.

[01:51:51] More rat-like.

[01:51:52] Oddly,

[01:51:52] I see that on a lot of merch,

[01:51:54] though.

[01:51:55] 2008 merch version.

[01:51:56] I do too.

[01:51:58] No,

[01:51:58] it's okay.

[01:51:59] Yeah,

[01:51:59] it's all right.

[01:52:00] Then we have

[01:52:02] the movie concept.

[01:52:04] Look at that one on the left.

[01:52:07] The one on the left

[01:52:08] is awesome.

[01:52:10] But instead,

[01:52:10] we have this one very hard.

[01:52:12] The concept's great

[01:52:13] for all the movie characters.

[01:52:15] Like,

[01:52:15] I really do like

[01:52:16] the look of the werewolves.

[01:52:18] From the movie.

[01:52:19] But it's just the way

[01:52:22] it just was so fake

[01:52:24] because it was CG.

[01:52:25] Like,

[01:52:25] if they could have just

[01:52:26] done a suit.

[01:52:28] Yeah.

[01:52:29] Practical effect.

[01:52:30] Yeah.

[01:52:31] I would have loved it

[01:52:32] way more.

[01:52:33] But it took me out

[01:52:34] of the scene it was in

[01:52:36] because it just,

[01:52:36] you could tell it's fake.

[01:52:37] It's not there.

[01:52:39] Then we have the one

[01:52:40] that appeared in the video games,

[01:52:42] Night of Scares

[01:52:43] and Dead of Night.

[01:52:44] Very similar to the movie version.

[01:52:47] Yeah.

[01:52:47] We have the one

[01:52:48] in Goosebumps 2,

[01:52:49] which is pretty similar,

[01:52:51] but is a little bit different

[01:52:52] because of the,

[01:52:53] mostly because of the effects.

[01:52:55] It looks a little worse

[01:52:56] in my opinion.

[01:52:58] They ran out of budget on that one.

[01:53:00] Yeah.

[01:53:01] Goosebumps Horror Towns version

[01:53:03] is a lot more wolf-like,

[01:53:04] but also more purple-like.

[01:53:07] And finally,

[01:53:08] we have the werewolves

[01:53:09] in Secrets of the Swamp,

[01:53:10] illustrated by Yasmin Flores Montanas.

[01:53:15] Those are fun.

[01:53:16] Yeah.

[01:53:18] All right.

[01:53:18] We've come to the very last one,

[01:53:21] the big one,

[01:53:21] the monster of all,

[01:53:23] the one that you've all been waiting for,

[01:53:26] Gary the Bee from Why I'm Afraid of...

[01:53:28] No, it's Slappy.

[01:53:30] Yeah.

[01:53:32] It's Slappy from Night of the Living Dummy.

[01:53:35] Undeniably...

[01:53:36] How many different ones?

[01:53:38] So many.

[01:53:40] So we're going to have

[01:53:41] our biggest lightning round of all.

[01:53:43] We're going to go through

[01:53:43] all these super quick,

[01:53:45] starting off with the concept art

[01:53:48] from Tim Jones.

[01:53:49] Ooh.

[01:53:50] I kind of like the one...

[01:53:53] I kind of like the one

[01:53:55] where he's sitting up in the box

[01:53:57] a little bit,

[01:53:57] and like the one on the far left

[01:53:59] looks almost the same,

[01:54:01] but it's kind of ominous more.

[01:54:03] I don't know.

[01:54:03] There's something about it

[01:54:04] that's very eerie.

[01:54:06] Yeah, they're tidying

[01:54:07] a bit more of his face.

[01:54:08] Now this one,

[01:54:10] we're going a little bit

[01:54:11] out of chronological order

[01:54:15] because there's so many Slappy books.

[01:54:17] So we're going to start

[01:54:18] by going through

[01:54:19] all the Tim Jacobus arts

[01:54:20] because you're going to see

[01:54:21] that they actually changes

[01:54:23] quite a bit over time.

[01:54:25] So here we have the first one.

[01:54:29] The second one,

[01:54:30] his face looks a little longer

[01:54:31] and his features

[01:54:33] more highlighted.

[01:54:34] in the third one,

[01:54:36] it looks like he's balding

[01:54:38] a little bit.

[01:54:39] His forehead's gotten

[01:54:40] a lot bigger.

[01:54:43] Then in Monster Edition 2,

[01:54:46] he's very white

[01:54:48] in this version

[01:54:49] compared to this one.

[01:54:52] He got whitewashed.

[01:54:55] Then in Brian of the Lying

[01:54:57] Oh, I love it.

[01:54:59] That was nice.

[01:55:00] I love it.

[01:55:01] This is when the era

[01:55:02] of super long jaw Slappy

[01:55:05] began in this era.

[01:55:07] And you can see here

[01:55:08] in Slappy's Nightmare,

[01:55:10] it was such a...

[01:55:11] I don't like that part.

[01:55:12] As much as I love

[01:55:13] Tim's work on a lot of things,

[01:55:15] there's something about

[01:55:16] this version of Slappy

[01:55:17] he did.

[01:55:17] I'm just not a fan.

[01:55:19] Do you like the one

[01:55:20] for Goose on Gold?

[01:55:23] Eh, no,

[01:55:24] because it's basically

[01:55:25] the same.

[01:55:26] He's got a very bulbous

[01:55:27] head in this version.

[01:55:29] Then we have...

[01:55:30] That's what it is.

[01:55:32] Time to delve

[01:55:34] into the international covers.

[01:55:37] UK print.

[01:55:39] That's Mr. Wood,

[01:55:40] by the way.

[01:55:41] Actually, that is Slappy.

[01:55:43] That's Night of the Living

[01:55:44] Dummy 2.

[01:55:46] Oh, wait.

[01:55:46] No, that is the second one.

[01:55:47] Sorry.

[01:55:47] Do you have the first one on there?

[01:55:50] I do not,

[01:55:51] because they're basically

[01:55:51] the same.

[01:55:52] I figured I would go

[01:55:53] for the more tiny ones.

[01:55:53] Yeah, I just realized

[01:55:54] that is the second one,

[01:55:55] yeah, because he's got

[01:55:55] the paintbrush.

[01:55:57] That is the second one.

[01:55:58] There's the French cover.

[01:55:59] You know what?

[01:55:59] You know the one...

[01:56:00] What's the one thing

[01:56:01] they got right on that one,

[01:56:02] though, Isaiah?

[01:56:03] You go back.

[01:56:03] What's the one thing

[01:56:04] they got right?

[01:56:05] I mean...

[01:56:06] That notebook

[01:56:07] got them right,

[01:56:08] yeah, it was slapped.

[01:56:09] I don't know.

[01:56:10] What is it?

[01:56:11] Eye color.

[01:56:12] His eye color.

[01:56:13] The blue eyes.

[01:56:14] Hmm.

[01:56:15] Because he has blue eyes.

[01:56:17] He's got blue eyes.

[01:56:19] Glistening moonlight.

[01:56:20] Here's the French cover

[01:56:21] for the first

[01:56:22] Night of the Living Dummy.

[01:56:24] It made him look like a mime.

[01:56:27] I'm a mime.

[01:56:28] I'm a mime.

[01:56:30] That's all I think about

[01:56:31] as Jack Blackhouse.

[01:56:33] I'm a mime.

[01:56:33] That's what the new

[01:56:35] Disney Plus series

[01:56:36] apparently used

[01:56:38] some concept

[01:56:38] from.

[01:56:42] Here's the Korean version.

[01:56:44] This is for

[01:56:45] Living Dummy 1.

[01:56:48] Far left.

[01:56:49] Far left is 1,

[01:56:50] far right is 2,

[01:56:51] and then the middle

[01:56:52] is Bride of the Living Dummy.

[01:56:54] Wait.

[01:56:55] If that's 1 on the far left,

[01:56:57] that's got to be Mr. Wood.

[01:57:00] Who knows?

[01:57:01] Who knows?

[01:57:03] Because that doesn't look like

[01:57:04] anything or anybody.

[01:57:05] That looks

[01:57:07] literally like

[01:57:08] an old doll

[01:57:09] that's losing its hair.

[01:57:12] Now,

[01:57:13] the Spanish cover.

[01:57:15] Jesus.

[01:57:17] Pretty standard.

[01:57:18] Oh my god.

[01:57:19] A dime store

[01:57:21] Ventriloquist doll

[01:57:22] and took a picture of it.

[01:57:24] The Japanese cover.

[01:57:26] The laziest one so far.

[01:57:27] I got that.

[01:57:28] I got that.

[01:57:31] He looks twistedly

[01:57:33] evil in that one.

[01:57:34] The Vietnamese cover.

[01:57:37] That was like

[01:57:38] a movie version.

[01:57:39] Movie one.

[01:57:40] Definitely.

[01:57:40] Yeah.

[01:57:41] Definitely a movie.

[01:57:42] The Indonesian version.

[01:57:43] You can only see

[01:57:44] the bottom of his face.

[01:57:46] It almost looks like

[01:57:47] he has a clown nose.

[01:57:50] Yeah.

[01:57:51] That's not too bad.

[01:57:52] All right.

[01:57:53] The Dutch version.

[01:57:55] What the?

[01:57:57] Oh my god.

[01:57:59] He's got sharp teeth

[01:58:00] on top.

[01:58:02] Here we have an

[01:58:03] Italian version.

[01:58:04] This is for

[01:58:04] slappy birthday to you.

[01:58:06] So this is a modern one.

[01:58:09] Oh my god.

[01:58:11] And

[01:58:11] we have

[01:58:13] one last

[01:58:14] batch of French covers.

[01:58:17] The modern French covers.

[01:58:20] Okay.

[01:58:21] Although I want the rights

[01:58:22] actually really good.

[01:58:24] Yeah.

[01:58:24] Mm-hmm.

[01:58:25] Yeah.

[01:58:25] I like the one on the right.

[01:58:26] The fact that they used

[01:58:26] blood is surprising.

[01:58:28] Yeah.

[01:58:29] Well, it's technically

[01:58:30] supposed to be written

[01:58:31] right, but they

[01:58:32] stylized it like blood.

[01:58:34] Oh, well.

[01:58:35] Yeah.

[01:58:35] I can see the paintbrush

[01:58:36] now that you say that, but.

[01:58:38] I learned only two

[01:58:39] was just a better book anyway.

[01:58:40] Like the second one

[01:58:41] was a better book.

[01:58:42] The only thing

[01:58:42] the one on the left's got

[01:58:44] is they have taken

[01:58:45] inspiration from one

[01:58:46] of the scenes where it

[01:58:47] said he's leaning over

[01:58:49] to one side of the chair

[01:58:50] with the window

[01:58:51] flapping behind.

[01:58:52] So they've tried to

[01:58:53] create that scene

[01:58:55] where he's leaning over

[01:58:56] on one side of the chair,

[01:58:57] like literally says

[01:58:58] straight out of the book.

[01:58:59] So they've tried to do

[01:59:00] that, but I don't know.

[01:59:02] I think the right one's

[01:59:03] still better.

[01:59:03] Here's the 90s

[01:59:05] merch mascot version

[01:59:06] that you saw

[01:59:07] the 90s merch.

[01:59:09] Yeah.

[01:59:10] The stage

[01:59:11] both by Tim Jacobus.

[01:59:16] These were Tim Jacobus,

[01:59:17] yes.

[01:59:18] The tops card.

[01:59:19] Imagine.

[01:59:22] It's like a cabbage

[01:59:24] patch kid.

[01:59:25] It'd be short

[01:59:25] and it's giant

[01:59:27] Wreck-It Ralph

[01:59:27] body.

[01:59:31] The Disney

[01:59:32] state of wait.

[01:59:33] No, this is actually

[01:59:34] the magazine comic

[01:59:37] adaptation of

[01:59:38] Night of the Living

[01:59:38] Dummy 2.

[01:59:41] And then

[01:59:43] the TV

[01:59:45] and the

[01:59:47] classic

[01:59:47] and

[01:59:47] classic

[01:59:49] Yep.

[01:59:51] Well, it's funny

[01:59:51] because apparently

[01:59:52] the TV show wasn't

[01:59:54] the first one to do

[01:59:55] a red haired

[01:59:55] slappy.

[01:59:56] Apparently

[01:59:59] magic before.

[02:00:01] Yeah.

[02:00:02] with Anthony

[02:00:03] Hopkins.

[02:00:04] Who else did a

[02:00:06] who else did a

[02:00:07] red haired

[02:00:07] slappy

[02:00:08] show?

[02:00:09] The red

[02:00:10] some of the

[02:00:11] international prints.

[02:00:13] It's a

[02:00:13] the voice of

[02:00:15] slapping the show

[02:00:15] is based on

[02:00:16] how he did the

[02:00:17] voice of

[02:00:17] the puppet

[02:00:18] in magic.

[02:00:20] Yeah.

[02:00:20] Yeah.

[02:00:22] Yeah.

[02:00:23] I love that.

[02:00:24] Magic is a great

[02:00:25] movie.

[02:00:25] And

[02:00:26] that is a very

[02:00:27] creepy movie

[02:00:28] too.

[02:00:29] Yeah.

[02:00:30] Then we have

[02:00:31] the Disney

[02:00:32] stage show

[02:00:33] version that

[02:00:33] you actually

[02:00:34] saw.

[02:00:35] It's a real

[02:00:36] person in a

[02:00:37] suit?

[02:00:37] Yes, it is.

[02:00:38] That mask

[02:00:39] actually moves.

[02:00:40] The mouth and

[02:00:40] eyebrows move.

[02:00:41] Oh.

[02:00:43] It's very

[02:00:43] interesting.

[02:00:45] Then we have

[02:00:47] this lovely

[02:00:48] piece of

[02:00:49] merchandise.

[02:00:50] Oh, yeah.

[02:00:51] I've seen this on

[02:00:52] eBay.

[02:00:52] Not a cat.

[02:00:55] Whoa.

[02:00:55] A cat can

[02:00:56] talk.

[02:00:58] I'm going to

[02:00:58] kill you now.

[02:01:00] I mean,

[02:01:01] to be fair,

[02:01:02] that's the

[02:01:02] original slappy

[02:01:03] doll that we

[02:01:04] all bought.

[02:01:05] You know,

[02:01:05] that is the

[02:01:07] only one you

[02:01:08] could get

[02:01:09] back in the

[02:01:10] day.

[02:01:10] There was no

[02:01:10] other.

[02:01:11] Yeah.

[02:01:11] So that was

[02:01:12] what we had.

[02:01:12] And I'll always

[02:01:13] cherish that

[02:01:14] slappy doll

[02:01:14] because,

[02:01:15] you know,

[02:01:16] it was the

[02:01:16] first time I

[02:01:16] ever got

[02:01:17] one.

[02:01:18] Now we have

[02:01:19] Brandon Dorman's

[02:01:20] first take on

[02:01:21] slappy and

[02:01:21] classic goosebumps

[02:01:22] and horror

[02:01:23] land.

[02:01:24] I actually

[02:01:25] really like this

[02:01:25] design.

[02:01:26] Personally,

[02:01:26] I think it

[02:01:27] was the best

[02:01:27] of his

[02:01:28] slappy designs.

[02:01:30] Then we have

[02:01:32] 2008 merch

[02:01:33] slappy with

[02:01:35] the red hair

[02:01:36] or the brown

[02:01:37] hair.

[02:01:38] Yeah,

[02:01:39] I'm not a fan

[02:01:40] either.

[02:01:40] Doesn't look

[02:01:41] right.

[02:01:41] Makes me think

[02:01:42] of the

[02:01:44] doll in

[02:01:45] Dead Silence,

[02:01:46] the boy doll.

[02:01:47] If you've seen

[02:01:48] Dead Silence,

[02:01:48] she actually

[02:01:49] turned a little

[02:01:50] boy into a

[02:01:51] ventriloquist

[02:01:51] doll.

[02:01:52] This makes me

[02:01:52] think of him

[02:01:53] because that's

[02:01:53] what I think

[02:01:55] his hair was

[02:01:55] like that and

[02:01:56] he even had

[02:01:56] the suit

[02:01:56] similar to

[02:01:57] that.

[02:01:58] And actually,

[02:01:59] funny enough,

[02:02:00] there was

[02:02:01] actually a

[02:02:02] scrapped piece

[02:02:03] of merch

[02:02:04] that had that

[02:02:06] design.

[02:02:07] Oh,

[02:02:08] I'd still buy

[02:02:09] it.

[02:02:10] I'd still buy

[02:02:11] it.

[02:02:11] They'd go in

[02:02:12] the collection.

[02:02:14] Not fine.

[02:02:15] I wonder who's

[02:02:15] got that now.

[02:02:17] I wonder who's

[02:02:18] got the

[02:02:18] prototype

[02:02:18] today.

[02:02:19] Dude,

[02:02:19] I'll pay

[02:02:20] him a

[02:02:20] million

[02:02:20] dollars.

[02:02:21] We have

[02:02:21] the DVD

[02:02:22] version,

[02:02:23] which

[02:02:23] chibi-sized

[02:02:25] the TV

[02:02:25] show

[02:02:25] Slappy.

[02:02:27] Yes,

[02:02:27] of course.

[02:02:29] Then we

[02:02:29] have

[02:02:29] the concept

[02:02:30] for the

[02:02:32] movie.

[02:02:33] Oh,

[02:02:33] my

[02:02:33] Slappy.

[02:02:35] Jesus.

[02:02:37] Yeah,

[02:02:37] not great.

[02:02:37] You know

[02:02:38] what?

[02:02:38] That's

[02:02:38] Tim Burton

[02:02:39] Slappy on

[02:02:39] the top

[02:02:40] rack.

[02:02:41] It very

[02:02:41] much is.

[02:02:46] If we

[02:02:47] did get a

[02:02:48] Tim Burton

[02:02:49] Goosebump

[02:02:49] movie,

[02:02:50] it would

[02:02:50] have been

[02:02:50] something

[02:02:50] like that.

[02:02:51] I don't

[02:02:51] know.

[02:02:51] I just

[02:02:52] get a

[02:02:52] vibe.

[02:02:53] It almost

[02:02:54] looks like

[02:02:54] Brad Pitt

[02:02:54] to me.

[02:02:57] Then we

[02:02:58] have the

[02:02:59] final version

[02:02:59] of the

[02:03:00] movie Slappy.

[02:03:01] I like

[02:03:02] this.

[02:03:03] I think

[02:03:04] it's pretty

[02:03:04] good.

[02:03:05] Then we

[02:03:06] have

[02:03:07] blue eyes.

[02:03:09] They should

[02:03:09] have given

[02:03:09] him blue

[02:03:09] eyes.

[02:03:10] I just

[02:03:10] don't

[02:03:10] think.

[02:03:11] I know

[02:03:12] they did

[02:03:12] the brown

[02:03:12] eyes because

[02:03:13] of Jack

[02:03:13] Black,

[02:03:13] but I

[02:03:14] still feel

[02:03:14] like if

[02:03:15] they had

[02:03:15] just done

[02:03:15] that one

[02:03:16] little change,

[02:03:16] it would

[02:03:17] have made

[02:03:17] him look a

[02:03:18] little better.

[02:03:19] This design

[02:03:22] worked because

[02:03:23] it got carried

[02:03:23] over by

[02:03:24] Brandon

[02:03:24] Dorman into

[02:03:25] Slappy

[02:03:25] World.

[02:03:27] Basically

[02:03:28] the movie

[02:03:28] version of

[02:03:28] Slappy.

[02:03:30] Then we

[02:03:30] have some

[02:03:31] video game

[02:03:32] appearances.

[02:03:33] We have

[02:03:33] Night of

[02:03:34] Scares,

[02:03:34] the 2015

[02:03:35] game,

[02:03:36] Horror Town,

[02:03:37] and Scholastic

[02:03:38] Home Base.

[02:03:42] some comic

[02:03:43] appearances.

[02:03:45] Chris

[02:03:45] Finaglio,

[02:03:46] Michelle Wong,

[02:03:47] and Dave

[02:03:47] Roman for

[02:03:49] Monsters at

[02:03:49] Midnight,

[02:03:50] Download and

[02:03:50] Die, and

[02:03:51] Goosebumps

[02:03:51] Graphics in

[02:03:52] Order.

[02:03:53] It looks like a

[02:03:53] vampire in

[02:03:54] Monsters at

[02:03:55] Midnight.

[02:03:56] Red eyes with

[02:03:58] little cape.

[02:04:01] I honestly

[02:04:03] like the one in

[02:04:03] Goosebumps

[02:04:04] Graphics on the

[02:04:04] far right.

[02:04:05] I like that one

[02:04:06] among the three.

[02:04:07] I just like how

[02:04:08] little he looks.

[02:04:09] And finally,

[02:04:13] we end with the

[02:04:14] most recent

[02:04:15] version of

[02:04:16] Slappy in

[02:04:17] the 2023

[02:04:18] series, which

[02:04:19] I really

[02:04:20] like.

[02:04:21] I like it.

[02:04:22] It grew

[02:04:22] on me.

[02:04:23] I think it's

[02:04:24] honestly a

[02:04:26] really good

[02:04:27] interpretation of

[02:04:28] him.

[02:04:29] It's the only

[02:04:30] thing I like

[02:04:31] from the new

[02:04:32] show, other

[02:04:32] than like

[02:04:34] Ben Kakao's

[02:04:35] Harold

[02:04:35] Bill.

[02:04:36] I thought

[02:04:40] Justin Long

[02:04:41] did a great

[02:04:41] job.

[02:04:42] I thought

[02:04:42] Rachel Harris

[02:04:42] did a great

[02:04:43] job.

[02:04:45] But it's

[02:04:46] just the

[02:04:46] story and

[02:04:47] how they

[02:04:47] portray the

[02:04:48] monsters of

[02:04:49] Goosebumps

[02:04:49] that just

[02:04:50] ruined

[02:04:51] everything.

[02:04:53] Yes.

[02:04:55] The

[02:04:55] Slappy

[02:04:55] episode,

[02:04:57] like the

[02:04:57] first one

[02:04:58] they did

[02:04:58] was definitely

[02:04:58] the best

[02:04:59] episode.

[02:04:59] Yeah.

[02:05:00] Yeah.

[02:05:00] the

[02:05:01] best

[02:05:01] episode.

[02:05:02] Goie

[02:05:02] Worms

[02:05:03] was like

[02:05:03] a two.

[02:05:04] But this

[02:05:05] is our

[02:05:09] adaptation of

[02:05:10] Slappy and

[02:05:12] the best

[02:05:12] place to

[02:05:13] end things

[02:05:14] off.

[02:05:15] So we

[02:05:15] got to

[02:05:16] see quite

[02:05:16] a bit

[02:05:16] of, you

[02:05:18] know,

[02:05:18] different

[02:05:18] designs for

[02:05:19] and I

[02:05:19] wasn't

[02:05:19] kidding,

[02:05:20] you know,

[02:05:21] many different

[02:05:22] designs for

[02:05:22] all those

[02:05:23] Goosebumps

[02:05:23] creatures over

[02:05:24] the years and

[02:05:25] whether they

[02:05:26] were international

[02:05:27] prints or

[02:05:28] adaptations for

[02:05:29] movies or TV,

[02:05:30] there was a lot

[02:05:31] of different

[02:05:32] designs, lots

[02:05:33] of good and

[02:05:34] lots of bad.

[02:05:36] Yeah.

[02:05:37] That was

[02:05:37] an interesting

[02:05:38] signal.

[02:05:39] Yeah.

[02:05:40] I mean,

[02:05:41] for Aaron,

[02:05:41] for you,

[02:05:42] I mean,

[02:05:42] what was,

[02:05:43] you know,

[02:05:44] probably the

[02:05:45] ones that you

[02:05:45] would say stuck

[02:05:46] out to you

[02:05:46] the most?

[02:05:48] You know,

[02:05:49] I kind of like

[02:05:49] the series

[02:05:50] 2000 art.

[02:05:53] Like,

[02:05:53] I don't have

[02:05:53] that many books

[02:05:54] from that series,

[02:05:55] but like every

[02:05:55] time I find one,

[02:05:56] I'm like,

[02:05:56] this is like,

[02:05:57] it's always

[02:05:58] gorgeous.

[02:05:58] I'm like,

[02:05:58] wow.

[02:06:00] Yeah.

[02:06:01] And then

[02:06:01] in a bad way,

[02:06:03] the French ones

[02:06:03] were just

[02:06:05] yeah.

[02:06:05] The French ones,

[02:06:06] the UK ones,

[02:06:07] they were rocky

[02:06:08] at best.

[02:06:10] Some of the

[02:06:10] Korean,

[02:06:11] some of the

[02:06:12] Korean ones,

[02:06:12] but some of

[02:06:13] them were

[02:06:13] really good.

[02:06:15] Um,

[02:06:15] yeah.

[02:06:17] Once at

[02:06:18] midnight and

[02:06:19] the will

[02:06:19] feel swamp,

[02:06:20] I think,

[02:06:20] were like the

[02:06:20] best.

[02:06:21] And then

[02:06:21] the only

[02:06:22] first one that

[02:06:24] was good was

[02:06:24] monster blood

[02:06:25] too.

[02:06:27] Yeah.

[02:06:28] That was

[02:06:28] actually solidly

[02:06:30] like to the

[02:06:31] point that I'm

[02:06:32] going to go

[02:06:33] out and try

[02:06:33] and find

[02:06:33] that one.

[02:06:35] Yeah.

[02:06:36] Yeah.

[02:06:37] Before this

[02:06:37] drops.

[02:06:38] Yep.

[02:06:39] And

[02:06:39] Haunted Mask

[02:06:40] and Slappy,

[02:06:41] of course,

[02:06:41] the two most

[02:06:42] iconic had

[02:06:43] probably the

[02:06:43] most drastic

[02:06:44] designs between

[02:06:47] incarnations.

[02:06:47] So they're

[02:06:48] interesting.

[02:06:49] I hope you

[02:06:49] guys learned

[02:06:50] something about

[02:06:51] all these

[02:06:52] different designs

[02:06:53] and,

[02:06:53] you know,

[02:06:55] hopefully you

[02:06:56] walked away with

[02:06:56] someone's besides

[02:06:57] the original

[02:06:58] Tim Jacobus art

[02:06:59] that you,

[02:06:59] uh,

[02:07:00] probably like a

[02:07:01] little more now

[02:07:01] that you saw.

[02:07:03] Yeah.

[02:07:03] No,

[02:07:04] it's nice learning

[02:07:04] all about this

[02:07:05] stuff.

[02:07:05] And it's nice to

[02:07:06] have someone teach

[02:07:07] me about evolution

[02:07:08] for once.

[02:07:09] Absolutely.

[02:07:09] Hey,

[02:07:10] you're always the

[02:07:11] one doing all

[02:07:11] the evolutions

[02:07:13] figured we would

[02:07:13] do one of our

[02:07:14] own tonight.

[02:07:15] And,

[02:07:15] uh,

[02:07:16] they certainly

[02:07:16] evolved for

[02:07:18] better.

[02:07:19] Yes.

[02:07:20] I would love to

[02:07:20] like figure out

[02:07:21] ways to get more

[02:07:22] goosebumps stuff

[02:07:23] on my channel.

[02:07:23] Yeah.

[02:07:28] I'm sure we could

[02:07:29] help you with

[02:07:29] that.

[02:07:30] Oh yeah.

[02:07:32] But that is

[02:07:33] going to do it

[02:07:34] for tonight's

[02:07:35] episode of the

[02:07:35] Goosebumps

[02:07:36] crew podcast.

[02:07:37] I want to give a

[02:07:38] super duper

[02:07:38] special thanks

[02:07:39] to Aaron

[02:07:40] for joining us

[02:07:41] tonight.

[02:07:42] Aaron,

[02:07:43] thank you so much

[02:07:43] for joining us.

[02:07:44] It was an

[02:07:44] absolute pleasure.

[02:07:46] Yes.

[02:07:46] Thanks for having

[02:07:46] me.

[02:07:47] This is great.

[02:07:48] Absolutely.

[02:07:48] And,

[02:07:49] uh,

[02:07:49] you guys can go

[02:07:50] check Aaron out

[02:07:51] over on his

[02:07:52] YouTube channel,

[02:07:53] Tell It Animated.

[02:07:54] You can also

[02:07:54] follow him over

[02:07:55] on Instagram and

[02:07:56] I'm pretty sure you

[02:07:57] have a Twitter

[02:07:58] account,

[02:07:58] right?

[02:07:59] Twitter,

[02:08:00] TikTok,

[02:08:00] Snapchat,

[02:08:02] all that jazz.

[02:08:03] Yep.

[02:08:03] And all those

[02:08:04] links are going

[02:08:04] to be in the

[02:08:05] description below.

[02:08:06] Go check out

[02:08:06] his content if

[02:08:07] you haven't already.

[02:08:08] Honestly,

[02:08:09] at this point,

[02:08:09] if you follow

[02:08:10] pop culture,

[02:08:11] you'd be hard

[02:08:11] pressed to

[02:08:12] probably miss the
